The"religious purpose"of the religious property system is different in its appeal to different subjects: The state, religious groups and believers. For different types of property, religious purposes differ in directness and indirectness, but they are unified in the realization of the basic religious policy of the Party and the state.展开更多

The research commenced in 2012 and is now in its third "year. The project is based on an intervention at a high school in an impoverished suburb of Athens and researches educational practices through interpretative-ethnographic methods. The researcher has attempted to answer the question of whether the design of the learning environments is effective not only in the learning process, but also on inter-communication and "connectedness" between the members of the learning community. The findings so far indicate a correlation between adolescents' emotional and social wellbeing and the school's approach to knowledge and learning methods, specifically in Religious Education classes. It is fair to say, however, that there exist ethnic, social and family components that are negatively related to a sense of"connectedness" within the school although at the same time Religious Education as a subject is, however, found to be positively related to learning community atmosphere.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND The most important factors affecting the decision of organ donation are socioeconomic, educational, cultural, and religious factors.AIM To evaluate Islamic religious officials’attitudes and behaviors toward and level of knowledge on organ donation and transplantation.METHODS This study surveyed 2350 Islamic religious officials in Turkey. To ensure a representative sample,we used and modified the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics.Based on the Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics-II,Turkey was divided into 26 regions. The number of Islamic religious officials in each city and town in each of the 26 regions was proportionate to the population.A stratified sampling method based on demographic factors, such as age, marital status, and educational level, was used.Data were collected by PRP Research and Consultancy Company using computer-assisted personal interviewing.RESULTS Of the 2350 religious officials surveyed,59.9%were in the age group of 35-54 years;84.7%had either a bachelor’s or a master’s degree;99.7%never donated an organ;and 75.4%were not considering donating in the future.About 22%of the religious officials said religious belief was their reason for not donating;45.3%did not indicate any reason.Although 41.5%of participants considered cadaveric organ donation as the best source of organ transplantation,36.3%deemed living donor transplantation as the best option.Meanwhile,52.9%of participants considered donating an organ from a brain dead relative in case they were asked for permission;80.1%considered donating to a relative,if necessary;81.6%considered undergoing organ transplantation,if necessary.About 83.7%of participants deemed organ donation as a proper human behavior;60.5%believed that it is allowed by Islam;55%said they preach for organ donation at their mosque;and 41.1%said their views of organ donation were influenced by their leaders in society.CONCLUSION Religious officials are unsure whether or not organ donation is respectful of their religious belief, but they consider donating an organ if a relative need to undergo organ transplantation.

文摘Religious wildlife release is prevalent worldwide, especially in Asia countries. It is one of the anthropogenic pathways to cause biological inva-sions.Religious fish release is common on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, yet few studies have assessed the influences of religious fish release on local species.InYushu,a city on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau,we interviewedlocal people, conducted fish trap surveys in local rivers, and exam-ined the diet of Eurasian otters Lutra lutra using a fecal DNA metabarcoding approach. We found that fish release started at least in 1980-1990s in Yushu.Tibetan residents released fish in large amounts and released fish were usually exotic commercial fish purchased from market.Despite such long-term and intensive fish release activities, released fish were few in local rivers. On the other hand,Eurasian otters mainly prey on fish and released fish accounted for~20%of relative read abundance of prey DNA in otters'diet, indicating their high preference on released fish. Our study suggested that religious fish release may provide additional food resources for otters, whereas otters,as a top predator in local rivers, may deplete non-native fish once they were released and, therefore, reduce the probability of colonization of released fish, although further studies are required to assess otters'impact. Our study revealed otters'diet in Yushu, providing basic information for local otter management and conservation.Furthermore,it represents a case showing that native predators prey on religious released animals, implying a probable direction forcontrolling invasive species through nativepredator conservation.

文摘In this research paper,we propose a corpus for the task of detecting religious extremism in social networks and open sources and compare various machine learning algorithms for the binary classification problem using a previously created corpus, thereby checking whether it is possible to detect extremist messages in the Kazakh language. To do this, the authors trained models using six classic machine-learning algorithms such as Support Vector Machine,Decision Tree,Random Forest,K Nearest Neighbors,Naive Bayes, and Logistic Regression. To increase the accuracy of detecting extremist texts,we used various characteristics such as Statistical Features,TF-IDF,POS,LIWC,and applied oversampling and undersampling techniques to handle imbalanced data.As a result,we achieved 98%accuracy in detecting religious extremism in Kazakh texts for the collected dataset.Testing the developed machine learningmodels in various databases that are often found in everyday life“Jokes”,“News”,“Toxic content”,“Spam”,“Advertising”has also shown high rates of extremism detection.
文摘Religion is one of the social entities that has had a significant impact on the pandemic. The study’s goals are to investigate the relationship between well-being and fear of COVID-19,as well as to test whether religious beliefs mediate the effect of wellbeing on fear of COVID-19.The sample comprised of 433 participants in Vietnam.Independent Sample t-Test,One-way ANOVA,mediation analysis were used to analyze the data.In the levels of well-being,individuals who engage in religious services daily have higher levels than those hardly and never attend, and people from the age of 18 to 30 have higher levels than individuals from 31 to above 60 years. In addition, people aged from 51 to above 60 have higher levels of religious beliefs than people aged from 18 to 50.Females experience more fear of COVID-19 compared to males. The latter illustrates that religious beliefs mediate the effect of well-being on fear of COVID-19.Social workers and clinicians must prioritize older adults and people with chronic diseases for early mental interventions, and they should be aware of the role of religion in psychological treatment integration.
