The expression of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is derived. The results indicate that the existence of a maximum in SNR vs. the additive noise intensity α the multiplicative noise intensity D and the cross-correlated noise intensity λ is the identifying characteristic of the SR phenomenon and there is a critical phenomenon in the SNR as a function of λ, i.e., for the case of smaller values of noise intensity (α or D), the SNR decreases as λ increases; however, for the case of larger values of noise intensity (α or D), the SNR increases as λ increases.展开更多

Using the general two-state approach for the asymmetry system, the analytic expression of signal-to-noise ratio is obtained. The effects of the additive noise intensity a, the multiplicative noise intensity D and the amplitude of input periodic signal A on the signal-to-noise ratio are analysed by numerical calculation. It is found that the existence of a maximum in the RSNR a and RSNR D plots is the identifying characteristic of the stochastic resonance phenomenon in the weakened noise intensity region. The stochastic resonance phenomena are restrained with increasing a and D, and enhanced with increasing A.展开更多

The level of Tregs in peripheral blood was detected by flow cytometry. The expression levels of GITR and Foxp3 mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were assayed by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The level of IL-6 in the plasma was measured by ELISA. Comparisons were made among 3 groups: the active SLE group, the inactive SLE group, and normal control group. The level of Tregs in the active SLE group and the inactive SLE group was significantly lower than in the normal control group (P〈0.01). The level of Tregs in the active group was lower than in the inactive group with the difference being not significant (P〉0.05). The level of Tregs in SLE patients was significantly negatively correlated with the disease active index in SLE (SLEDAI) (r=-0.81, P〈0.01). The expression levels of GITR mRNA in PBMCs of the active SLE group and the inactive SLE group were significantly higher than in the normal control group (P〈0.05), and those of Foxp3 mRNA in SLE patients of both active and inactive SLE groups were significantly lower than in the normal control group (P〈0.05). There was no significant difference in the expression of GITR and Foxp3 mRNA between the active SLE group and inactive SLE group (P〉0.05). The plasma levels of IL-6 in both the inactive SLE group and active SLE group were significantly higher than in the normal control group (P〈0.01). The plasma level of IL-6 in the active SLE group was sig- nificantly increased as compared with that in the inactive SLE group (P〈0.05), and the plasma level of IL-6 in SLE was significantly positively correlated with SLEDAI scores (r=0.58, P〈0.01) and significantly negatively correlated with the ratio of CD4+CD25+ cells/CD4+ cells (r=-0.389, P〈0.05). It was concluded that the levels of Tregs and Foxp3 mRNA in peripheral blood of SLE patients were decreased and the levels of GITR mRNA and plasma IL-6 were increased. The Tregs and their molecular markers GITR, Foxp3 as well as the plasma IL-6 might play an important role in the pathogenesis of SLE.展开更多

This study conducts a qualitative review on the changes through adopting business ecosystem approaches. An analytical framework is estab- lished for reviewing the structure of mobile Internet business ecosystem. Then the core value, key actors, and inter-firm relationships of the mobile Internet ecosystem in the past and in the present are compared. It is found that the ecosystem structure has shifted from an MNO-centric model to a polycentric one with highly expanded value sources and di- versified keystone players. Accordingly some suggestions for regulatory policy makers are provided in terms of the roles of mobile Inter- net in social welfare improvement, the call for a convergent regulatory system, and chal- lenges for information security regulation.展开更多

We conducted a meta-analysis integrating case-control and haplotype variant studies in multiple ethnic populations to clearly discern the effect of these two variants on SLE. Eleven studies on the relation between rs10954213 polymorpisms in IRF5 and SLE were included and we selected a random effect model to calculate the pooled odds ratios (ORs) and the corresponding 95% confidence interval (95% CI). A total of 6982 cases and 8077 controls were involved in the meta-analysis. The pooled results in- dicated that A allele was significantly associated with increased risk of SLE as compared with the IRF5 rS10954213 G allele (A vs. G, P〈0.00001) in all subjects. The same pattern of the results was also ob- tained in the European, African American, and Latin American. Asian population had a much lower prevalence of the A allele (49.1%) than any other population studied, and Europeans had the highest frequency of the IRF5 rs10954213 A allele (62.1%). The significant association of increased SLE risk and TCA haplotype was indicated in the contrast of TCA vs. TTA as the pooled OR was 2.14 (P=0.002). The same result was also found in the contrast of TCA vs. TTG as the pooled OR was 1.45 (P=-0.004). This meta-analysis suggests that the A allele of rs10954213 and TCA haplotype (rs2004640-rs2070197-rs10954213) in IRF5 is associated with the increased risk of SLE in different ethnic groups, and its prevalence is ethnicity dependent.展开更多

This study investigates the factors behind this issue, focusing on cultural perceptions, scientific validation, regulatory frameworks, and pharmaceutical industry influence. Utilizing a systematic literature review (SLR) to provide a thorough and structured overview, the research addresses these factors with transparency and reproducibility. Key findings reveal that negative cultural perceptions, the dominance of Western medicine, and skepticism towards traditional healers, especially in urban and educated populations, marginalize TAM. Additionally, religious beliefs and historical influences, such as colonialism, further devalue indigenous knowledge systems. The study also highlights a significant lack of scientific research and clinical trials, which challenges the conventional validation of TAM’s efficacy. Moreover, inconsistent international and national regulatory frameworks and the pharmaceutical industry’s dominance impede TAM’s integration into global healthcare systems. To enhance TAM’s credibility and global acceptance, the study advocates for standardized regulatory policies, increased scientific research, and a reevaluation of intellectual property laws. This shift towards a more inclusive and integrative approach in global health systems could bridge the gap between traditional and modern medical practices, promoting a more holistic understanding of health and wellness.展开更多

This paper highlights some of those significant advances in the informationization of accounting information systems in China. As China has become a major industrial power in the international economy, further improvements for these information systems are critical to the continued successes of China. To additionally improve these systems, China can draw upon the systems from other world economic leaders. With its fully developed capital markets, the United States offers development experience for the external reporting components of a fully integrated information system. This paper discusses a typical integrated information system in the United States and addresses the regulatory milestones that were instrumental in the development of those external components of accounting information systems. Recommendations are presented for improving informationization of systems in China based on U.S. systems' responses to those milestones.展开更多

Consequently, the electrical, mechanical and chemical components of these OWTS need to be regularly maintained to ensure their consistent and reliable operation to the required standards. In Western Australia (WA), the Department of Health set out the regulatory requirements for the maintenance of OWTS as well as when and how it is to occur. This paper reviews the maintenance requirements for ATU and GTS in WA and provides recommendations for the proposed changes in guidelines and regulations. State and national guidelines were reviewed and information from industry and regulators was obtained through surveys. However, most of these studies focus on marketed subsets of ES at national and international levels. Ecosystems differ in spatial scale, biophysical and ecological structure, and functionality. This requires conducting studies at the local level to understand how, for example, the watershed ecosystem contributes to humanity locally and nationally. This study focuses on selected regulatory ecosystem services (RES) in Kenya’s catchment area ecosystems (Elgeyo and Nyambene). Field-based sampling and Landsat imagery with secondary information were used to generate biophysical and ecological data. The study used market price-based, cost-based, and unit transfer methods for RES valuation. The study estimates the total value of the six selected regulatory ecosystem services (RES) at KES 41.4 billion (US$386.7 million) and KES 14.73 billion (US$137.71 million) for Elgeyo and Nyambene, respectively. This equates to KES 1.64 million (US$15,331.19) and KES 2.72 million (US$25,375) per hectare per year. Extrapolating the study estimates to the national level, the country’s regulatory ecosystem services would range from US$18.4 billion to US$30.45 billion annually. This equates to between 16.7% and 27.7% of Kenya’s GDP in 2021, underscoring the importance of watersheds to the national economy.展开更多

文摘We have investigated in the adiabatic limit the phenomenon of stochastic resonance in the gene transcriptional regulatory system subjected to an additive noise, a multiplicative noise, and a weakly periodic signal. 文摘Primordial germ cells(PGCs)are the precursors of germline that are specified at the embryonic stage.Recent studies reveal that humans employ different mechanisms for PGC specification compared with model organisms such as mice. Moreover, the specific regulatory machinery remains largely unexplored, mainly due to the inaccessible nature of this complex biological process in humans. Here,we curate and integrate multi-omics data, including 581 RNA-seq,54 ATAC-seq,45 ChIP-seq,and 69 single-cell RNA-seq samples from different stages of human PGC development to recapitulate the precisely controlled and stepwise process, presenting an atlas in the human PGC database(hPGCdb). With these uniformly processed data and integrated analyses,we characterize the potential key transcription factors and regulatory networks governing human germ cell fate.We validate the important roles of some of the key factors in germ cell development by CRISPRi knockdown. We also identify the soma-germline interaction network and discover the involvement of SDC2 and LAMA4 for PGC development,as well as soma-derived NOTCH2 signaling for germ cell differentiation.Taken together,we have built a database for human PGCs(http://43.131.248.15:6882)and demonstrate that hPGCdb enables the identification of the missing pieces of mechanisms governing germline development, including both intrinsic and extrinsic regulatory programs.

文摘Irisin is a polypeptide hormone derived from the proteolytic cleavage of fibronectin-type III domain-containing 5(FNDC5)protein.Once released to circulation upon exercise or cold exposure, irisin stimulates browning of white adipose tissue(WAT)and uncoupling protein I(UCP1)expression,leading to an increase in total body energy expenditure by augmented UCPl-mediated thermogenesis. It is currently unknown whether irisin is secreted by bone upon exercise or whether it regulates bone metabolism in vivo.In this study,we found that 2 weeks of voluntary wheel-running exercise induced high levels of FNDC5 messenger RNA as well as FNDC5/irisin protein expression in murine bone tissues.Increased immunoreactivity due to exercise-induced FNDC5/irisin expression was detected in different regions of exercised femoral bones, including growth plate, trabecular bone, cortical bone, articular cartilage, and bone-tendon interface.Exercise also increased expression of osteogenic markers in bone and that of UCP1 in WAT,and led to bodyweight loss.Irisin intraperitoneal(IP)administration resulted in increased trabecular and cortical bone thickness and osteoblasts numbers, and concurrently induced UCP1 expression in subcutaneous WAT.Lentiviral FNDC5 IP administration increased cortical bone thickness. In vitro studies in bone cells revealed irisin increases osteoblastogenesis and mineralization, and inhibits receptor activator of nuclear factor-kB ligand(RANKL)-induced osteoclastogenesis.Taken together, our findings show that voluntary exercise increases irisin production in bone, and that an increase in circulating irisin levels enhances osteogenesis in mice.
文摘Objective To study the construction of market credit supervision systems for pharmaceutical enterprises in Liaoning Province and to provide suggestions for improving the integrity awareness and production activities. Methods Based on the market credit supervision experience of National Medical Products Administration and some other provinces, the construction of supervision laws and regulations system for pharmaceutical enterprises in Liaoning Province was investigated from the perspectives of daily supervision and inspection, joint punishment of illegal acts, sampling results, information communication and publicity. Results and Conclusion In recent years,Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Government of Liaoning Province has attached great importance to the construction of social credit system by issuing a series of local regulations and local government rules. However, the laws and regulations on the market credit supervision of pharmaceutical enterprises are not perfect, and there is a lack of legal documents such as the credit rating method.Besides, some regulatory documents are slightly outdated and they should be revised in time according to the development of the pharmaceutical industry. The Food and Drug Administration of Liaoning Province should promulgate some relevant laws and regulations on the market credit supervision of pharmaceutical enterprises as soon as possible.Firstly,Liaoning Drug Administration should formulate the“Measures for the Administration of Drug Safety Credit of Pharmaceutical Enterprises”,including the establishment of credit information management system, which can clarify the main responsibility of pharmaceutical enterprises and key personnel, and standardize drug advertising and advertising endorsement.Secondly,Liaoning Drug Administration should introduce the“Credit Rating Methods for Pharmaceutical Enterprises”,and divide the credit rating of pharmaceutical enterprises into four grades from high to low.Besides, differentiated credit supervision measures must be implemented. Finally, the Pharmaceutical Industry Association of Liaoning Province should issue the industry norms that regard drug quality as life so as to improve the integrity awareness of pharmaceutical enterprises and promote the production activities.

文摘CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) and the expression of their molecular markers (GITR, Foxp3) in peripheral blood of the patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) were investigated in order to reveal the pathogenesis of SLE on the cellular and molecular levels. The Tregs and their molecular markers GITR, Foxp3 as well as the plasma IL-6 might play an important role in the pathogenesis of SLE.

文摘Dynamic nitrification and denitrification processes are affected by changes in soil redox conditions, and they play a vital role in regulating soil N_(2)O emissions in rice-based cultivation. It is imperative to understand the influences of different upland crop planting systems on soil N_(2)O emissions. In this study,we focused on two representative rotation systems in Central China:rapeseed–rice(RR)and wheat–rice(WR).We examined the biotic and abiotic processes underlying the impacts of these upland plantings on soil N_(2)O emissions. The results revealed that during the rapeseed-cultivated seasons in the RR rotation system, the average N_(2)O emissions were 1.24±0.20 and 0.81±0.11 kg N ha^(–1)for the first and second seasons, respectively. These values were comparable to the N_(2)O emissions observed during the first and second wheat-cultivated seasons in the WR rotation system(0.98±0.25 and 0.70±0.04 kg N ha^(–1),respectively).This suggests that upland cultivation has minimal impacts on soil N_(2)O emissions in the two rotation systems.Strong positive correlations were found between N_(2)O fluxes and soil ammonium(NH_(4)^(+)),nitrate(NO_(3)^(–)),microbial biomass nitrogen(MBN),and the ratio of soil dissolved organic carbon(DOC)to NO_(3)^(–)in both RR and WR rotation systems. Moreover, the presence of the AOA-amoA and nirK genes were positively associated with soil N_(2)O fluxes in the RR and WR systems, respectively. This implies that these genes may have different potential roles in facilitating microbial N_(2)O production in various upland plantation models.By using a structural equation model,we found that soil moisture, mineral N,MBN,and the AOA-amoA gene accounted for over 50%of the effects on N_(2)O emissions in the RR rotation system. In the WR rotation system, soil moisture, mineral N,MBN,and the AOA-amoA and nirK genes had a combined impact of over 70%on N_(2)O emissions. These findings demonstrate the interactive effects of functional genes and soil factors, including soil physical characteristics, available carbon and nitrogen, and their ratio,on soil N_(2)O emissions during upland cultivation seasons under rice-upland rotations.

文摘The rs10954213 polymorphism and the haplotype diversity in interferon regulatory factor 5 (1RF5) play a special role in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) but with inconclusive results. This meta-analysis suggests that the A allele of rs10954213 and TCA haplotype (rs2004640-rs2070197-rs10954213) in IRF5 is associated with the increased risk of SLE in different ethnic groups, and its prevalence is ethnicity dependent.
文摘Despite the profound cultural and medicinal heritage of traditional African medicines (TAM), their global recognition remains notably limited. This shift towards a more inclusive and integrative approach in global health systems could bridge the gap between traditional and modern medical practices, promoting a more holistic understanding of health and wellness.
文摘The informationization of accounting information systems has brought many improvements to those systems. Recommendations are presented for improving informationization of systems in China based on U.S. systems' responses to those milestones.

文摘Regulated cell death is a form of cell death that is actively controlled by biomolecules.Several studies have shown that regulated cell death plays a key role after spinal cord injury.Pyroptosis and ferroptosis are newly discovered types of regulated cell deaths that have been shown to exacerbate inflammation and lead to cell death in damaged spinal cords.Autophagy,a complex form of cell death that is interconnected with various regulated cell death mechanisms, has garnered significant attention in the study of spinal cord injury. This injury triggers not only cell death but also cellular survival responses.Multiple signaling pathways play pivotal roles in influencing the processes of both deterioration and repair in spinal cord injury by regulating pyroptosis, ferroptosis, and autophagy. Therefore, this review aims to comprehensively examine the mechanisms underlying regulated cell deaths, the signaling pathways that modulate these mechanisms, and the potential therapeutic targets for spinal cord injury. Our analysis suggests that targeting the common regulatory signaling pathways of different regulated cell deaths could be a promising strategy to promote cell survival and enhance the repair of spinal cord injury. Moreover,a holistic approach that incorporates multiple regulated cell deaths and their regulatory pathways presents a promising multi-target therapeutic strategy for the management of spinal cord injury.

文摘Background:The study of regulatory B cells(Bregs)in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)has been in full swing in recent years, but the number and function of Bregs in SLE patients have also present quite contradictory results. Therefore,we conducted a meta-analysis to verify the changes in Bregs in active SLE.Methods:We identified studies reporting the proportions of Bregs in SLE patients by searching Pubmed,Embase,Web of Science,Cochrane and CNKI.Due to the degree of heterogeneity is very high,we used a random effects model to assess the mean differences in percentages of Bregs between active SLE and controls. Then, sensitivity analysis and subgroup analysis were performed to verify potential sources of heterogeneity. Results:Seven eligible articles involving 301 active SLE patients and 218 controls were included in the meta-analysis.The pooled percentages of Bregs were found no significant difference between active SLE patients and healthy controls[0.259,(−1.150,1.668),p=0.719],with great heterogeneity(I2=97.5%).The result of sensitivity analysis showed that exclusion of any single study or single article did not materially resolve the heterogeneity, but after excluding the article conducted by Cai X and his colleagues, the percentages of Bregs were significantly higher in active SLE than those in controls[1.394,(0.114,2.675),p=0.033].The results of subgroup analysis revealed that when the disease activity was judged by SLEDAI score≥5,the percentages of Bregs were significantly lower in the SLE groups than in the control groups[-1.99,(-3.241,-0.739),p=0.002],but when the threshold of SLEDAI score≥6 chosen for active SLE,the percentages of Bregs were significantly increased in the SLE groups[2.546,(1.333,3.759),p<0.001].Meanwhile,other subgroup analysis based on the different phenotypes of Bregs, diagnostic criteria, enrolled research countries, treatment status, and organ involvement did not differ in proportion of Bregs between SLE patients and controls. Conclusions:The study implies that Bregs may play a role in the pathogenesis of active SLE,and the thresholds of SLEDAI score to distinguish between active and inactive SLE patients are important factors affecting the percentages of Bregs.
文摘Aerobic Treatment Units (ATU) and Greywater Treatment Systems (GTS) are onsite wastewater treatment systems (OWTS) designed to treat wastewater to secondary effluent quality standards. The review found that although the guidelines are generally satisfactory there are a number of areas which could be improved and specific recommendations are discussed.
文摘Evidence of increased valuation of ecosystem services (ES) globally is significant. This equates to between 16.7% and 27.7% of Kenya’s GDP in 2021, underscoring the importance of watersheds to the national economy.
