Addressing the issues of low accuracy and slow detection speed in recognizing pointer meter readings under varying types and distances, this paper proposes a recognition method based on YOLOv8 and DeepLabv3+. To improve the image input quality of the DeepLabv3+ model, the YOLOv8 detector is used to quickly locate the instrument region and crop it as the input image for recognition. To enhance the accuracy and speed of pointer recognition, the backbone network of DeepLabv3+ was replaced with Mo-bileNetv3, and the ECA+ module was designed to replace its SE module, reducing model parameters while improving recognition precision. The decoder’s fourfold-up sampling was replaced with two twofold-up samplings, and shallow feature maps were fused with encoder features of the corresponding size. The CBAM module was introduced to improve the segmentation accuracy of the pointer. Experiments were conducted using a self-made dataset of pointer-style instruments from nuclear power plants. Results showed that this method achieved a recognition accuracy of 94.5% at a precision level of 2.5, with an average error of 1.522% and an average total processing time of 0.56 seconds, demonstrating strong performance.展开更多

The objective of this study is to explore the psychic, moral, ethical and logical significances in the spectatorship of Bollywood and Tamil film in the Sri Lanka. Bollywood and Tamil film has been taking a very popula...The objective of this study is to explore the psychic, moral, ethical and logical significances in the spectatorship of Bollywood and Tamil film in the Sri Lanka. Bollywood and Tamil film has been taking a very popular cultural performance in Sri Lanka. The original Indian spectatorship of these film traditions has been diverted by the cultural and political psychology of Sri Lanka. Hence, this local orientation of the Indian cinema remains a quite metamorphosis and deconstruction in its appreciation and screening in terms of the social, cultural and political features that deeply-rooted in Sri Lankan history, culture and geographical limitations. For this study, several film texts, which include typical Bollywood and Tamil film characteristic features were used and observed on how they have been absorbed in the Sri Lankan cultural society. And on the other hand, some audience surveys specific to different film appreciation contexts were conducted. They included urban slums, semi-rural Muslim societies, north and east areas of Tamil villages, Colombo urban society, Tamil state areas and Kandyan Sinhala rural villages. In the textual analysis of the film content, implicit psychological narrations and their social and aesthetic interpretations were revealed in the analytical explanations. Using the audience surveys, many different opinions that can be traditionally filtered in the screening and appreciation of these film traditions specific to their living cultural settings were also identified. In conclusion, perception in Sinhala film has been considerably designed by the experience of Bollywood and Tamil film spectatorship is deducted by this study. Hence, not only this social trend affected to the appreciation of film in local general audience but also in all the facets of film production （script writing, shooting, acting, dialoguing, music and choreography and screening） has also significantly being influenced by the Bollywood and Tamil film. As a result of this evolution of local film culture, most recent trend in Sinhala film noir is also being followed by the early subjective consequences of Bollywood and Tamil film culture in Sri Lanka.展开更多

English reading proficiency is essential for university students in a globalized academic environment,yet many L2 learners encounter challenges,such as limited vocabulary,complex syntax,and unclear text organization,l...English reading proficiency is essential for university students in a globalized academic environment,yet many L2 learners encounter challenges,such as limited vocabulary,complex syntax,and unclear text organization,leading to cognitive overload.Grounded in the Cognitive Load Theory(CLT),this study examines the role of the Chunking Reading Processing Strategy-which integrates fragmented linguistic information into meaningful units at lexical,syntactic,and discourse levels-in alleviating cognitive load and improving reading comprehension.Through a mixed-methods approach,the research investigates how learners at different proficiency levels perceive and apply the chunking strategy,and how such application relates to cognitive load management.The results indicate that higher-proficiency learners employ chunking more frequently and report greater benefits,whereas lower-proficiency learners depend more on instructional support.The study confirms the theoretical and pedagogical value of chunk-based reading instruction and suggests that differentiated,cognitively informed teaching of the chunking strategy can enhance both reading efficiency and strategic awareness among L2 learners.展开更多
Structural variations(SVs≥50 bp)are a critical but underexplored source of genetic diversity in cattle,shaping traits vital for productivity,adaptability,and health.Advances in long-read sequencing,pangenome graph co...Structural variations(SVs≥50 bp)are a critical but underexplored source of genetic diversity in cattle,shaping traits vital for productivity,adaptability,and health.Advances in long-read sequencing,pangenome graph construction,and near-complete genome assemblies now allow accurate SV detection and genotyping.These innovations overcome the limitations of single-reference genomes,enabling the discovery of complex SVs,including nested and overlapping variants,and providing access to previously inaccessible genomic regions such as centromeres and telomeres.This review highlights the current landscape of cattle SV research,with emphasis on integrating longread sequencing and pangenome frameworks to uncover breed-specific and population-level variation.While many SVs are linked to economically important traits such as feed efficiency and disease resistance,their broader regulatory impacts remain an active area of investigation.Emerging functional genomics approaches,including transcriptomics,epigenomics,and genome editing,will clarify how SVs influence gene regulation and phenotype.Looking forward,the integration of SV catalogs with multi-omics data,imputation resources,and artificial intelligence-driven models will be essential for translating discoveries into breeding and conservation applications.Integrating structural variants into breeding pipelines promises to revolutionize livestock genomics,enabling precision selection and sustainable agriculture despite challenges in cost,data sharing,and functional validation.展开更多

The accuracy of genomic annotation is crucial for subsequent functional investigations;however,computational protocols used in high-throughput annotation of open reading frames(ORFs)can introduce inconsistencies.These...The accuracy of genomic annotation is crucial for subsequent functional investigations;however,computational protocols used in high-throughput annotation of open reading frames(ORFs)can introduce inconsistencies.These inconsistencies,which lead to non-uniform extension or truncation of sequence ends,pose challenges for downstream analyses.Existing strategies to rectify these inconsistencies are time-consuming and labor-intensive,lacking specific approaches.To address this gap,we developed to GC,a tool that integrates genomic annotation with RNA-seq datasets to rectify annotation inconsistencies.Using to GC,we achieved an accuracy of nearly 100%accuracy in correcting inconsistencies in published Phytophthora sojae ORFs.We applied this innovative pipeline to the GPCR-bigrams gene family,which was predicted to have 42 members in the P.sojae genome but lacked experimental validation.By employing to GC,we identified 32 GPCR-bigram ORFs with inconsistencies between previous annotations and to GC-corrected sequences.Notably,among these were 5 genes(GPCR-TKL9,GPCR-TKL15,GPCR-PDE3,GPCR-AC3,and GPCR-AC4)showed substantial inconsistencies.Experimental gene annotation confirmed the effectiveness of to GC,as sequences obtained through cloning matched those annotated by to GC.Importantly,we discovered two novel GPCRs(GPCR-AC3 and GPCR-AC4),which were previously mispredicted as a single gene.CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knockout experiments revealed the involvement of GPCR-AC4 but not GPCR-AC3 in oospore production,further confirming their status as two separate genes.In addition to P.sojae,the reliability of the to GC pipeline in Phytophthora capsici and Pythium ultimum further emphasizes the robustness of this pipeline.Our findings highlight the utility of to GC for reliable gene model correction,facilitating investigations into biological functions and offering potential applications in diverse species analyses.展开更多

In this data explosion era,ensuring the secure storage,access,and transmission of information is imperative,encom-passing all aspects ranging from safeguarding personal devices to formulating national information secu...In this data explosion era,ensuring the secure storage,access,and transmission of information is imperative,encom-passing all aspects ranging from safeguarding personal devices to formulating national information security strategies.Leverag-ing the potential offered by dual-type carriers for transportation and employing optical modulation techniques to develop high reconfigurable ambipolar optoelectronic transistors enables effective implementation of information destruction after read-ing,thereby guaranteeing data security.In this study,a reconfigurable ambipolar optoelectronic synaptic transistor based on poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)and poly[[N,N-bis(2-octyldodecyl)-napthalene-1,4,5,8-bis(dicarboximide)-2,6-diyl]-alt-5,5′-(2,2′-bithiophene)](N2200)blend film was fabricated through solution-processed method.The resulting transistor exhib-ited a relatively large ON/OFF ratio of 10^(3) in both n-and p-type regions,and tunable photoconductivity after light illumination,particularly with green light.The photo-generated carriers could be effectively trapped under the gate bias,indicating its poten-tial application in mimicking synaptic behaviors.Furthermore,the synaptic plasticity,including volatile/non-volatile and excita-tory/inhibitory characteristics,could be finely modulated by electrical and optical stimuli.These optoelectronic reconfigurable properties enable the realization of information light assisted burn after reading.This study not only offers valuable insights for the advancement of high-performance ambipolar organic optoelectronic synaptic transistors but also presents innovative ideas for the future information security access systems.展开更多

文摘In this data explosion era,ensuring the secure storage,access,and transmission of information is imperative,encom-passing all aspects ranging from safeguarding personal devices to formulating national information security strategies.Leverag-ing the potential offered by dual-type carriers for transportation and employing optical modulation techniques to develop high reconfigurable ambipolar optoelectronic transistors enables effective implementation of information destruction after read-ing,thereby guaranteeing data security.In this study,a reconfigurable ambipolar optoelectronic synaptic transistor based on poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)and poly[[N,N-bis(2-octyldodecyl)-napthalene-1,4,5,8-bis(dicarboximide)-2,6-diyl]-alt-5,5′-(2,2′-bithiophene)](N2200)blend film was fabricated through solution-processed method.The resulting transistor exhib-ited a relatively large ON/OFF ratio of 10^(3) in both n-and p-type regions,and tunable photoconductivity after light illumination,particularly with green light.The photo-generated carriers could be effectively trapped under the gate bias,indicating its poten-tial application in mimicking synaptic behaviors.Furthermore,the synaptic plasticity,including volatile/non-volatile and excita-tory/inhibitory characteristics,could be finely modulated by electrical and optical stimuli.These optoelectronic reconfigurable properties enable the realization of information light assisted burn after reading.This study not only offers valuable insights for the advancement of high-performance ambipolar organic optoelectronic synaptic transistors but also presents innovative ideas for the future information security access systems.
