In the model, the creep forces between the wheels and rail are considered to be saturated and equal to the normal contact forces times the friction coefficient. The oscillation of the rail is coupled with that of wheels in the action of the saturated creep forces. When the coupling is strong, self- excited oscillation of the wheel-rail system occurs. The self-excited vibration propensity of the model is analyzed using the complex eigenvalue method. Results show that there are strong propensities of unstable self-excited vibrations whose frequencies are less than 1,200 Hz under some conditions. Preventing wheels from slipping on rails is an effective method for suppressing rail corrugation in high-speed tracks.展开更多

Noise and vibration of the mass rapid transit system is an important environmental issue in an urban environment. In order to understand the environmental impact of noise due to structural vibrations caused by a train running on the rail system, this paper establishes a numerical analysis procedure to perform a simulation. The improvements involve Tent mapping based on random variables to initialize the population, a logarithmic decrease strategy for inertia weight to balance search capability, and the improved search operators in the territory foraging phase to enhance the ability to escape from local optima and increase convergence accuracy. The effectiveness of IMOAHA was verified through Matlab/Simulink. The results demonstrate that IMOAHA exhibits superior convergence, diversity, uniformity, and coverage of solutions across 6 test functions, outperforming 4 comparative algorithms. A Wilcoxon rank-sum test further confirmed its exceptional performance. To assess IMOAHA’s ability to solve engineering problems, an optimization model for a multi-track, multi-train urban rail traction power supply system with Supercapacitor Energy Storage Systems (SCESSs) was established, and IMOAHA was successfully applied to solving the capacity allocation problem of SCESSs, demonstrating that it is an effective tool for solving complex Multi-Objective Optimization Problems (MOOPs) in engineering domains.展开更多

文摘During the grinding train operation process, the grinding force between the grinding wheel and the rail is critical in ensuring the grinding quality and efficiency. The coupling vibration among the frame, the grinding wheels, and the wheelsets will seriously affect the stability of the grinding force. In this paper, the coupled mechanical model of the grinding wheel/rail is established based on the contact mechanics theory, which is embedded as a submodel into the dynamic model of the multi-rigid buggy. The interaction among the frame, the grinding wheels and the wheelsets is analysed by setting the convex irregularity on the rail. The grinding effect is evaluated in combination with the subway’s long wave corrugation grinding conditions. The results show that when the grinding buggy passes the convex irregularity, the vibration excited by the wheelset system has a significant impact on the dynamic behavior of the grinding wheels. The vibration of the grinding wheel is mainly transmitted between the grinding wheel and the frame, less affecting the wheelset. For the long wave corrugation of the subway, the grinding effect of the grinding wheel has a certain correlation with the phase angle of the wheelset through the corrugation. The research results provide an important reference for the setting of the grinding pattern.

文摘Purpose–Adding an appropriate pre-sag to the geometry of simple catenary systems for electric railways can improve their performance in dynamic interaction with the pantographs of trains operating under them. The value of pre-sag can be obtained by empirical approximation or computationally expensive optimisation. This study aims to define a simple but accurate method to determine a suitable pre-sag without dynamic simulations and to find its limitations.Design/methodology/approach–A quasi-static method to determine the ideal value of pre-sag is described based on elasticity variations. It considers variations of the static contact force. The limits of this method are investigated by comparing it to a parametric dynamic simulation study. In the dynamic simulation,an optimal level of pre-sag is identified for each contact force level. The influence of the speed in the dynamic simulation results is expressed in two parameters:the quasi-static influence in the mean contact force and the dynamic influence in the ratio between the vehicle speed and the wave propagation speed in the contact wire.Findings–The comparison between the suggested method and the dynamic simulations shows a high consistency up to a speed limit of around 40%of the wave propagation speed. The best agreement with the dynamic results is achieved by calculating the optimal pre-sag based on the absolute elasticity variation.Practical implications–The simplified approach for determining the pre-sag is valid for low-speed applications, such as suburban railway lines. For these cases,a highly suitable geometry can be obtained with the suggested method, meaning a significantly reduced computational effort. As a case study for this work, the results are applied to a Swedish suburban rail line upgrade case.Originality/value–The static uplift force is added as a varied parameter in dynamic simulations. The shift in system behaviour from low to high dynamics is described, and how the benefits from pre-sag are visible and then disappear. The limit value of the low-dynamics regime is identified to be 40%.

文摘To address issues such as poor initial population diversity, low stability and local convergence accuracy, and easy local optima in the traditional Multi-Objective Artificial Hummingbird Algorithm (MOAHA), an Improved MOAHA (IMOAHA) was proposed. To assess IMOAHA’s ability to solve engineering problems, an optimization model for a multi-track, multi-train urban rail traction power supply system with Supercapacitor Energy Storage Systems (SCESSs) was established, and IMOAHA was successfully applied to solving the capacity allocation problem of SCESSs, demonstrating that it is an effective tool for solving complex Multi-Objective Optimization Problems (MOOPs) in engineering domains.

文摘Since the view that the localized rail third-order bending mode can cause high-order polygonization(mainly 18-23)of high-speed train wheels was put forward in 2017,many scholars have attempted to link a connection between the localized rail bending modes and wheel polygonization phenomenon and polygonal wheel passing frequency. This paper first establishes a flexible track model considering the structural and parametric characteristics of fasteners, verifies the model by using vehicle tracking test data, then investigates the influence of fastener parameter matching on the localized rail bending modes, and obtains the following conclusions:(1)There is nearly a 1:1 mapping relationship between the localized rail bending modal frequency and polygonal wheel passing(PWP)frequency, which supports that the localized rail bending mode is one of the causes of wheel polygonization.(2)The iron plate of the fastener system plays a role of dynamic vibration absorber in the vehicle-rail coupled system, and the fastener parameters significantly influence the localized rail bending modal vibration. Finally, this paper proposes a design principle of a high-frequency vibration-absorbing fastener, which provides a feasible solution to mitigate the localized rail bending modal vibration and high-order wheel polygonization.Meanwhile,it points out that this measure may induce other high-frequency vibration problems,e.g.,aggravating modal vibration above 800 Hz.Further, this paper proposes a concept of differentiated arrangement of fasteners, suggesting that different high-frequency vibration-absorbing fasteners be installed in different sections of the whole line to make the localized rail bending modal frequency of the whole line disordered, thus disrupting and further mitigating the development of the wheel polygonization.

文摘The influence of fuel pressure fluctuation on multi-injection fuel mass deviation has been studied a lot,but the fuel pressure fluctuation at injector inlet is still not eliminated efficiently. In this paper,a new type of hydraulic filter consisting of a damping hole and a chamber is developed for elimination of fuel pressure fluctuation and multi-injection fuel mass deviation.Linear model of the improved high pressure common-rail system(HPCRS)including injector, the pipe connecting common-rail with injector and the hydraulic filter is built.Fuel pressure fluctuation at injector inlet,on which frequency domain analysis is conducted through fast Fourier transformation,is acquired at different target pressure and different damping hole diameter experimentally. The linear model is validated and can predict the natural frequencies of the system.Influence of damping hole diameter on fuel pressure fluctuation is analyzed qualitatively based on the linear model, and it can be inferred that an optimal diameter of the damping hole for elimination of fuel pressure fluctuation exists.Fuel pressure fluctuation and fuel mass deviation under different damping hole diameters are measured experimentally, and it is testified that the amplitude of both fuel pressure fluctuation and fuel mass deviation decreases first and then increases with the increasing of damping hole diameter. The amplitude of main injection fuel mass deviation can be reduced by 73%at most under pilot-main injection mode, and the amplitude of post injection fuel mass deviation can be reduced by 92%at most under main-post injection mode.Fuel mass of a single injection increases with the increasing of the damping hole diameter. The hydraulic filter proposed by this research can be potentially used to eliminate fuel pressure fluctuation at injector inlet and improve the stability of HPCRS fuel injection.

文摘Channel estimation is a well-known challenge for wireless orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)communication systems with massive antennas on high speed rails(HSRs).This paper investigates this problem and design two practicable uplink and downlink channel estimators for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)communication systems with massive antenna arrays at base station on HSRs.Specifically,we first use pilots to estimate the initial angle of arrival(AoA)and channel gain information of each uplink path through discrete Fourier transform(DFT),and then refine the estimates via the angle rotation technique and suggested pilot design.Based on the uplink angel estimation,we design a new downlink channel estimator for frequency division duplexing(FDD)systems.Additionally,we derive the Cramér-Rao lower bounds(CRLBs)of the AoA and channel gain estimates. Finally, numerical results are provided to corroborate our proposed studies.
