Understanding why elements are distributed in tree xylem in a particular way is a significant challenge in dendrochemistry.This study explored a hypothesis that metal elements in the xylem interact due to differences ...Understanding why elements are distributed in tree xylem in a particular way is a significant challenge in dendrochemistry.This study explored a hypothesis that metal elements in the xylem interact due to differences in physical properties such as ionic radius and ionization potential.Scots pine in an even-aged stand established during the early 1970s in eastern Siberia was the study species.Increment cores were taken from the north and south sides of trees and scanned with an X-ray fluorescent multi scanner.With the help of X-ray scanning,the following elements were analyzed:aluminum(Al),potassium(K),calcium(Ca),titanium(Ti),manganese(Mn),iron(Fe),copper(Cu),strontium(Sr)and zinc(Zn).Scanning data on the elements were split into early-wood and late-wood data for each year of growth.The following ratios were analyzed:Ca/Sr,Fe/Ca,Fe/Sr,Al/Cu,Al/Zn,Ti/Mn,and Mn/K.Among these,ones having a consistent pattern across tree rings,the ratios show a more or less dependable relationship:that an element shows a larger decrease(relative another element)that has a larger ionic radius and lower ionization potential.Hypothetically,this may be due to the advantage of an ion with smaller ionic radius and higher ionization potential under a deficit of accommodation centers in organic molecules.An experiment approach should be applied to clarify the relationships.展开更多

Purpose–The brake pipe system was an essential braking component of the railway freight trains,but the existing E-type sealing rings had problems such as insufficient low-temperature resistance,poor heat stability an...Purpose–The brake pipe system was an essential braking component of the railway freight trains,but the existing E-type sealing rings had problems such as insufficient low-temperature resistance,poor heat stability and short service life.To address these issues,low-phenyl silicone rubber was prepared and tested,and the finite element analysis and experimental studies on the sealing performance of its sealing rings were carried out.Design/methodology/approach–The low-temperature resistance and thermal stability of the prepared lowphenyl silicone rubber were studied using low-temperature tensile testing,differential scanning calorimetry,dynamic thermomechanical analysis and thermogravimetric analysis.The sealing performance of the lowphenyl silicone rubber sealing ring was studied by using finite element analysis software abaqus and experiments.Findings–The prepared low-phenyl silicone rubber sealing ring possessed excellent low-temperature resistance and thermal stability.According to the finite element analysis results,the finish of the flange sealing surface and groove outer edge should be ensured,and extrusion damage should be avoided.The sealing rings were more susceptible to damage in high compression ratio and/or low-temperature environments.When the sealing effect was ensured,a small compression ratio should be selected,and rubbers with hardness and elasticity less affected by temperature should be selected.The prepared low-phenyl silicone rubber sealing ring had zero leakage at both room temperature(RT)and�508C.Originality/value–The innovation of this study is that it provides valuable data and experience for the future development of the sealing rings used in the brake pipe flange joints of the railway freight cars in China.展开更多
The manufacturing processes of casing rings are prone to multi-type defects such as holes,cracks,and porosity,so ultrasonic testing is vital for the quality of aeroengine.Conventional ultrasonic testing requires manua...The manufacturing processes of casing rings are prone to multi-type defects such as holes,cracks,and porosity,so ultrasonic testing is vital for the quality of aeroengine.Conventional ultrasonic testing requires manual analysis,which is susceptible to human omission,inconsistent results,and time-consumption.In this paper,a method for automated detection of defects is proposed for the ultrasonic Total Focusing Method(TFM)inspection of casing rings based on deep learning.First,the original datasets of defect images are established,and the Mask R-CNN is used to increase the number of defects in a single image.Then,the YOLOX-S-improved lightweight model is proposed,and the feature extraction network is replaced by Faster Net to reduce redundant computations.The Super-Resolution Generative Adversarial Network(SRGAN)and Convolutional Block Attention Module(CBAM)are integrated to improve the identification precision.Finally,a new test dataset is created by ultrasonic TFM inspection of an aeroengine casing ring.The results show that the mean of Average Precision(m AP)of the YOLOX-S-improved model reaches 99.17%,and the corresponding speed reaches 77.6 FPS.This study indicates that the YOLOX-S-improved model performs better than conventional object detection models.And the generalization ability of the proposed model is verified by ultrasonic B-scan images.展开更多
The agitated thin-film evaporator(ATFE)plays a crucial role in evaporation and concentration processes.The design of the scraper for processing high-viscosity non-Newtonian fluids in the ATFE is complex.The intricate ...The agitated thin-film evaporator(ATFE)plays a crucial role in evaporation and concentration processes.The design of the scraper for processing high-viscosity non-Newtonian fluids in the ATFE is complex.The intricate scraping action of the scraper introduces gas into the liquid film,leading to the formation of a gas ring along the wall.This process subsequently reduces wall heat flow,thereby affecting heat transfer.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD)is used to simulate the flow field of the non-Newtonian fluid in the ATFE.The investigation focuses on understanding the mechanism behind the formation of gas rings in the liquid film and proposes methods to prevent their formation.The results demonstrate a transition of the gas from a gas ring suspended in the liquid to a gas ring attached to the wall after entering the liquid film.The scraping action around the circumference of the scraper helps to expel gas rings,indicating the necessity of adjusting the scraper arrangement and increasing the frequency of scraping to enhance gas ring expulsion.The spiral motion of the bow wave serves as the source of gas entry into the liquid film.Therefore,the rotation speed can appropriately increase to reduce the size of the bow wave,thereby inhibiting the formation of the gas ring from the source.This research investigates the mechanism of gas ring generation and expulsion,offering theoretical guidance for processing high-viscosity non-Newtonian materials in the flow field of the ATFE.展开更多
Manufacturers must identify and classify various defects in automotive sealing rings to ensure product quality.Deep learning algorithms show promise in this field,but challenges remain,especially in detecting small-sc...Manufacturers must identify and classify various defects in automotive sealing rings to ensure product quality.Deep learning algorithms show promise in this field,but challenges remain,especially in detecting small-scale defects under harsh industrial conditions with multimodal data.This paper proposes an enhanced version of You Only Look Once(YOLO)v8 for improved defect detection in automotive sealing rings.We introduce the Multi-scale Adaptive Feature Extraction(MAFE)module,which integrates Deformable ConvolutionalNetwork(DCN)and Spaceto-Depth(SPD)operations.This module effectively captures long-range dependencies,enhances spatial aggregation,and minimizes information loss of small objects during feature extraction.Furthermore,we introduce the Blur-Aware Wasserstein Distance(BAWD)loss function,which improves regression accuracy and detection capabilities for small object anchor boxes,particularly in scenarios involving defocus blur.Additionally,we have constructed a high-quality dataset of automotive sealing ring defects,providing a valuable resource for evaluating defect detection methods.Experimental results demonstrate our method’s high performance,achieving 98.30% precision,96.62% recall,and an inference speed of 20.3 ms.展开更多

Recently, JWST confirmed the existence of water around forming planets and showed that the magnetic field plays an important role in the formation of planets. It follows that Saturn’s visible dense rings could arise from the ice bodies of a protoplanetary cloud the radius of the Roche limit under the mutual action of a diamagnetic expulsion force created by Saturn’s magnetic field, together with the action of Saturn’s gravitational and centrifugal forces. As a result, the Kepler’s orbits of the ice bodies of the protoplanetary cloud move into the plane of Saturn’s equator and origin highly compressed stable system of the visible dense rings with separate individual ice bodies. With the same orientation of magnetic moment of ice bodies, their repulsion and separation occur due to their magnetization by Saturn’s magnetic field. Ice bodies are also attracted to each other due to their own gravity. At the balance of the both forces, the ice bodies remain at an equilibrium distance between them. This provides important evidence of the nature of J. C. Maxwell’s discovery in 1856 that the visible dense rings of Saturn are not continuous, but composed of individual bodies. This theory can provide an explanation of the origin of Saturn’s visible dense rings and their structure observed by Cassini probe in 2004-2017. It could also improve purely gravitational models of the origin of Saturn’s visible dense rings, which can only show how additional ice could penetrate the visible dense rings, and cannot explain convincingly their origin and structure.展开更多
Analyses of stable isotopes(C,O,H)in tree rings are increasingly important cross-disciplinary programs.The rapid development in this field documented in an increasing number of publications requires a comprehensive re...Analyses of stable isotopes(C,O,H)in tree rings are increasingly important cross-disciplinary programs.The rapid development in this field documented in an increasing number of publications requires a comprehensive review.This study includes a bibliometric analysis-based review to better understand research trends in tree ring stable isotope research.Overall,1475 publications were selected from the Web of Science Core Collection for 1974-2023.The findings are that:(1)numbers of annual publications and citations increased since 1974.From 1974 to 1980,there were around two relevant publications per year.However,from 2020 to 2022,this rose sharply to 109 publications per year.Likewise,average article citations were less than four per year before 1990,but were around four per article per year after 2000;(2)the major subjects using tree ring stable isotopes include forestry,geosciences,and environmental sciences,contributing to 42.5%of the total during 1974-2023;(3)the top three most productive institutions are the Chinese Academy of Sciences(423),the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest,Snow and Landscape Research(227),and the University of Arizona(204).These achievements result from strong collaborations;(4)review papers,for example,(Dawson et al.,Annu Rev Ecol Syst 33:507-559,2002)and(McCarroll and Loader,Quat Sci Rev 23:771-801,2004),are among the most cited,with more than 1000 citations;(5)tree ring stable isotope studies mainly focus on climatology and ecology,with atmospheric CO_(2) one of the most popular topics.Since 2010,precipitation and drought have received increasing attention.Based on this analysis,the research stages,key findings,debated issues,limitations and direc-tions for future research are summarized.This study serves as an important attempt to understand the progress on the use of stable isotopes in tree rings,providing scientific guid-ance for young researchers in this field.展开更多

文摘The manufacturing processes of casing rings are prone to multi-type defects such as holes,cracks,and porosity,so ultrasonic testing is vital for the quality of aeroengine.Conventional ultrasonic testing requires manual analysis,which is susceptible to human omission,inconsistent results,and time-consumption.In this paper,a method for automated detection of defects is proposed for the ultrasonic Total Focusing Method(TFM)inspection of casing rings based on deep learning.First,the original datasets of defect images are established,and the Mask R-CNN is used to increase the number of defects in a single image.Then,the YOLOX-S-improved lightweight model is proposed,and the feature extraction network is replaced by Faster Net to reduce redundant computations.The Super-Resolution Generative Adversarial Network(SRGAN)and Convolutional Block Attention Module(CBAM)are integrated to improve the identification precision.Finally,a new test dataset is created by ultrasonic TFM inspection of an aeroengine casing ring.The results show that the mean of Average Precision(m AP)of the YOLOX-S-improved model reaches 99.17%,and the corresponding speed reaches 77.6 FPS.This study indicates that the YOLOX-S-improved model performs better than conventional object detection models.And the generalization ability of the proposed model is verified by ultrasonic B-scan images.

文摘The agitated thin-film evaporator(ATFE)plays a crucial role in evaporation and concentration processes.The design of the scraper for processing high-viscosity non-Newtonian fluids in the ATFE is complex.The intricate scraping action of the scraper introduces gas into the liquid film,leading to the formation of a gas ring along the wall.This process subsequently reduces wall heat flow,thereby affecting heat transfer.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD)is used to simulate the flow field of the non-Newtonian fluid in the ATFE.The investigation focuses on understanding the mechanism behind the formation of gas rings in the liquid film and proposes methods to prevent their formation.The results demonstrate a transition of the gas from a gas ring suspended in the liquid to a gas ring attached to the wall after entering the liquid film.The scraping action around the circumference of the scraper helps to expel gas rings,indicating the necessity of adjusting the scraper arrangement and increasing the frequency of scraping to enhance gas ring expulsion.The spiral motion of the bow wave serves as the source of gas entry into the liquid film.Therefore,the rotation speed can appropriately increase to reduce the size of the bow wave,thereby inhibiting the formation of the gas ring from the source.This research investigates the mechanism of gas ring generation and expulsion,offering theoretical guidance for processing high-viscosity non-Newtonian materials in the flow field of the ATFE.
文摘Manufacturers must identify and classify various defects in automotive sealing rings to ensure product quality.Deep learning algorithms show promise in this field,but challenges remain,especially in detecting small-scale defects under harsh industrial conditions with multimodal data.This paper proposes an enhanced version of You Only Look Once(YOLO)v8 for improved defect detection in automotive sealing rings.We introduce the Multi-scale Adaptive Feature Extraction(MAFE)module,which integrates Deformable ConvolutionalNetwork(DCN)and Spaceto-Depth(SPD)operations.This module effectively captures long-range dependencies,enhances spatial aggregation,and minimizes information loss of small objects during feature extraction.Furthermore,we introduce the Blur-Aware Wasserstein Distance(BAWD)loss function,which improves regression accuracy and detection capabilities for small object anchor boxes,particularly in scenarios involving defocus blur.Additionally,we have constructed a high-quality dataset of automotive sealing ring defects,providing a valuable resource for evaluating defect detection methods.Experimental results demonstrate our method’s high performance,achieving 98.30% precision,96.62% recall,and an inference speed of 20.3 ms.

文摘In this paper,we first generalize the constant dimension and orbit codes over finite fields to the constant rank and orbit codes over finite chain rings.Then we provide a relationship between constant rank codes over finite chain rings and constant dimension codes over the residue fields.In particular,we prove that an orbit submodule code over a finite chain ring is a constant rank code.Finally,for special finite chain ring F_(q)+γF_(q),we define a Gray mapφfrom(F_(q)+γF_(q))^(n)to F^(2n)_(q),and by using cyclic codes over F_(q)+γF_(q),we obtain a method of constructing an optimum distance constant dimension code over F_(q).

Moreover, this paper proves that: a ring R is weak M-Armendariz if and only if for any n, the n-by-n upper triangular matrix ring Tn (R) over R is weak M- Armendariz; if I is a semicommutative ideal of ring R such that R/I is weak M-Armendariz, then R is weak M-Armendariz, where M is a strictly totally ordered monoid; if a ring R is semicommutative and M-Armendariz, then R is weak M × N- Armendariz, where N is a strictly totally ordered monoid; a finitely generated Abelian group G is torsion-free if and only if there exists a ring R such that R is weak G-Armendariz.

文摘In this paper,we mainly study the structure of bi-Jordan n-derivations in triangular rings under conditions of maximal quotient rings and faithful bimodules,respectively.It is shown that every bi-Jordan n-derivation can be decomposed into the sum of an inner biderivation and an extremal biderivation in two different conditions.As by-products,the structures of bi-Jordan n-derivation over upper triangular matrix rings and nest algebras are characterized,respectively,and generalize the known results.

文摘Cassini measurements suggest that ice bodies of Saturn’s visible dense rings have diamagnetic properties. Recently, JWST confirmed the existence of water around forming planets and showed that the magnetic field plays an important role in the formation of planets. It follows that Saturn’s visible dense rings could arise from the ice bodies of a protoplanetary cloud the radius of the Roche limit under the mutual action of a diamagnetic expulsion force created by Saturn’s magnetic field, together with the action of Saturn’s gravitational and centrifugal forces. As a result, the Kepler’s orbits of the ice bodies of the protoplanetary cloud move into the plane of Saturn’s equator and origin highly compressed stable system of the visible dense rings with separate individual ice bodies. With the same orientation of magnetic moment of ice bodies, their repulsion and separation occur due to their magnetization by Saturn’s magnetic field. Ice bodies are also attracted to each other due to their own gravity. At the balance of the both forces, the ice bodies remain at an equilibrium distance between them. This provides important evidence of the nature of J. C. Maxwell’s discovery in 1856 that the visible dense rings of Saturn are not continuous, but composed of individual bodies. This theory can provide an explanation of the origin of Saturn’s visible dense rings and their structure observed by Cassini probe in 2004-2017. It could also improve purely gravitational models of the origin of Saturn’s visible dense rings, which can only show how additional ice could penetrate the visible dense rings, and cannot explain convincingly their origin and structure.

文摘Analyses of stable isotopes(C,O,H)in tree rings are increasingly important cross-disciplinary programs.The rapid development in this field documented in an increasing number of publications requires a comprehensive review.This study includes a bibliometric analysis-based review to better understand research trends in tree ring stable isotope research.Overall,1475 publications were selected from the Web of Science Core Collection for 1974-2023.The findings are that:(1)numbers of annual publications and citations increased since 1974.From 1974 to 1980,there were around two relevant publications per year.However,from 2020 to 2022,this rose sharply to 109 publications per year.Likewise,average article citations were less than four per year before 1990,but were around four per article per year after 2000;(2)the major subjects using tree ring stable isotopes include forestry,geosciences,and environmental sciences,contributing to 42.5%of the total during 1974-2023;(3)the top three most productive institutions are the Chinese Academy of Sciences(423),the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest,Snow and Landscape Research(227),and the University of Arizona(204).These achievements result from strong collaborations;(4)review papers,for example,(Dawson et al.,Annu Rev Ecol Syst 33:507-559,2002)and(McCarroll and Loader,Quat Sci Rev 23:771-801,2004),are among the most cited,with more than 1000 citations;(5)tree ring stable isotope studies mainly focus on climatology and ecology,with atmospheric CO_(2) one of the most popular topics.Since 2010,precipitation and drought have received increasing attention.Based on this analysis,the research stages,key findings,debated issues,limitations and direc-tions for future research are summarized.This study serves as an important attempt to understand the progress on the use of stable isotopes in tree rings,providing scientific guid-ance for young researchers in this field.

文摘The seven-membered ring motifs are found in bioactive pharmaceuticals and a wide range of natural products,including alkaloids and terpenoids,which hold significant importance in synthetic chemistry and has garnered considerable attention from both academia and industry.Despite the challenges faced in the past decade,the total synthesis of natural products incorporating the non-aromatic cycloheptane skeletons remains a compelling pursuit.Recently,numerous elegant strategies for constructing the sevenmembered ring system have been successfully developed.This review focuses on the recent advancements in this field from 2017 to April 2023,highlighting key transformations utilized to construct the non-aromatic cycloheptane core structures and serves as a valuable guide for synthetic chemists engaged in the total synthesis of natural products containing seven-membered ring motifs.

Some properties and examples of weakly r-clean rings are given. Furthermore, we prove the weakly clean and weakly r-clean rings are equivalent for abelian rings.

文摘We study the nilpotent structure of generalized semicommutative rings.The new concept of nilpotentα-semicommutative rings is defined and studied.This class of rings is closely related to many well-known concepts including semicommutative rings,α-semicommutative rings and weakα-rigid rings.An example is given to show that a nilpotentα-semicommutative ring need not beα-semicommutative.Various properties of this class of rings are investigated.Many known results related to various semicommutative properties of rings are generalized and unified.
