A study was initiated in Wolong Nature Reserve, Sichuan Province, China to elucidate the soil quality changes of natural secondary succession, forest planting and agricultural practices after deforestation in the humid mountainous region. The soil qualities of six land use types (natural forestland, grassland, shrub land, secondary forestland, cultivated land and reforested land) were compared using two quantitative methods: the integrated soil quality index(QI) and soil deterioration index(DI). The QI values of natural forestland, grassland, shrub land, secondary forestland, cultivated land, reforested land were 0.8039, 0.3277, 0.9127, 0.6881, 0.0285 and 0.3183, respectively. The DI values were 0%, -14%, 12%, 1%, -26% and -18% respectively. Both indexes suggested that shrub land can restore soil properties. To compare the two methods more directly, a deduced index QI′ based on QI value was developed. The results showed that DI and QI′had a very high linear correlation coefficient (r=0.9775) despite the values were different. Both methods were efficient in evaluating the soil quality levels and DI was a more simple way in soil quality assessment, while QI could show more ecological meanings.展开更多

The types and structures of inorganic pores are key factors in evaluations of the reservoir space and distribution characteristics of shale oil and gas.However,quantitative identification methods for pores of differen...The types and structures of inorganic pores are key factors in evaluations of the reservoir space and distribution characteristics of shale oil and gas.However,quantitative identification methods for pores of different inorganic components have not yet been fully developed.For this reason,a quantitative characterization method of inorganic pores using pixel information was proposed in this study.A machine learning algorithm was used to assist the field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)image processing of shale to realize the accurate identification and quantitative characterization of inorganic pores on the surface of high-precision images of shale with a small view.Moreover,large-view image splicing technology,combined with quantitative evaluation of minerals by scanning electron microscopy(QEMSCAN)image joint characterization technology,was used to accurately analyze the distribution characteristics of inorganic pores under different mineral components.The quantitative methods of pore characteristics of different inorganic components under the pixel information of shale were studied.The results showed that(1)the Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis(WEKA)machine learning model can effectively identify and extract shale mineral components and inorganic pore distribution,and the large-view FE-SEM images are representative of samples at the 200μm×200μm view scale,meeting statistical requirements and eliminating the influence of heterogeneity;(2)the pores developed by different mineral components of shale had obvious differences,indicating that the development of inorganic pores is highly correlated with the properties of shale minerals themselves;and(3)the pore-forming ability of different mineral components is calculated by the quantitative method of single component pore-forming coefficient.Chlorite showed the highest pore-forming ability,followed by(in descending order)illite,pyrite,calcite,dolomite,albite,orthoclase,quartz,and apatite.This study contributes to advancing our understanding of inorganic pore characteristics in shale.展开更多
Four key stress thresholds exist in the compression process of rocks,i.e.,crack closure stress(σ_(cc)),crack initiation stress(σ_(ci)),crack damage stress(σ_(cd))and compressive strength(σ_(c)).The quantitative id...Four key stress thresholds exist in the compression process of rocks,i.e.,crack closure stress(σ_(cc)),crack initiation stress(σ_(ci)),crack damage stress(σ_(cd))and compressive strength(σ_(c)).The quantitative identifications of the first three stress thresholds are of great significance for characterizing the microcrack growth and damage evolution of rocks under compression.In this paper,a new method based on damage constitutive model is proposed to quantitatively measure the stress thresholds of rocks.Firstly,two different damage constitutive models were constructed based on acoustic emission(AE)counts and Weibull distribution function considering the compaction stages of the rock and the bearing capacity of the damage element.Then,the accumulative AE counts method(ACLM),AE count rate method(CRM)and constitutive model method(CMM)were introduced to determine the stress thresholds of rocks.Finally,the stress thresholds of 9 different rocks were identified by ACLM,CRM,and CMM.The results show that the theoretical stress−strain curves obtained from the two damage constitutive models are in good agreement with that of the experimental data,and the differences between the two damage constitutive models mainly come from the evolutionary differences of the damage variables.The results of the stress thresholds identified by the CMM are in good agreement with those identified by the AE methods,i.e.,ACLM and CRM.Therefore,the proposed CMM can be used to determine the stress thresholds of rocks.展开更多
Purpose:This article reviews the development of quantitative methods in educational research in China since 1978.Design/Approach/Methods:For this summary and literature review,we used data from the China National Know...Purpose:This article reviews the development of quantitative methods in educational research in China since 1978.Design/Approach/Methods:For this summary and literature review,we used data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),relevant books,and research output from the Graduate School of Education,Peking University.Findings:We divided the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research into four stages:the Startup Stage(1978–1988),the Gradual Application Stage(1989–1998),the Growth Spurt Stage(1999–2008),and the Integrated and Diverse Development Stage(2009–2018).Overall,the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research shows sustained innovation in numerous aspects,including research methods,data sources,utilization of advancements in computing technology and statistical software,and research topics.However,despite the relatively advanced state of quantitative methods,education measurement and evaluation require further attention.The questionnaire and experimental research data currently available indicate the need to improve the mining and utilization of big data.Moreover,while Chinese educational researchers have demonstrated their proficiency in using quantitative research methods,improvements remain to be made with respect to collaboration and sharing.Originality/Value:This article is the first to analyze systemically the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research.It provides an original summary of the development and characteristics of quantitative methods in educational research in China.展开更多

In this review, we focus on the progress during the last decade in this exciting field. Here we at first introduce briefly genome organization at chromosome, domain and sub-domain level, respectively; then we provide a short introduction to various super-resolution microscopy techniques which can be employed to detect gcnome 3D structure. We also reviewed the progress of quantitative and visualization tools to evaluate and visualize chromatin interactions in 3D genome derived from Hi-C data. We end up with the discussion that imaging methods and 3C-based molecular methods are not mutually exclusive -- actually they arc complemental to each other and can be combined together to study 3D genome organization.展开更多

Based on the probability statistics method and the shape pattern recognition method, the shape evaluation model of cold-rolled strip was established to evaluate real-time shape of the online strip. The model was embedded in the shape control system, and the online strip shape state was real-time observed whether to meet the technical indicators, so the shape level could be identified and evaluated. Based on the shape evaluation indicators, the shape component could be well controlled to improve the shape hit rate and the control stability, so that the rolled strip shape could meet the technical requirements. At a 1050 cold strip mill, the shape data of the scene typical specifications strip were online collected and real-time evaluated, and the hit of macro shape in less than 8 I was 68.44%, indicating that the mill shape control had considerable room for improvement, as well as the evaluation method was feasible and practical for quantitative evaluation of the strip shape. So the new evaluation model has important guiding significance to increase value-added and reduce product quality objection.展开更多

The crac...A real-time quantitative optical method to characterize crack propagation in colloidal photonic crystal film(CPCF)is developed based on particle deformation models and previous real-time crack observations. The crack propagation process and temperature dependence of the crack propagation rate in CPCF are investigated. By this method, the crack propagation rate is found to slow down gradually to zero when cracks become more numerous and dense. Meanwhile, with the temperature increasing, the crack propagation rate constant decreases. The negative temperature dependence of the crack propagation rate is due to the increase of van der Waals attraction, which finally results in the decrease of resultant force. The findings provide new insight into the crack propagation process in CPCF.展开更多

Meanwhile,the method is evaluated by several methodological indicators such as specificity,sensitivity,accuracy and uncertainty of measurement. The results show that the method has strong specificity in analysis of genetically modified maize MON88017. The mean value(1. 54%) repeatedly measured for 29 times with the relative deviation of 2. 7% was close to the real value(1. 50%) and the variation coefficient of the measured value was 0. 1. The tested recovery rate is 100% and the uncertainty of measurement is 0. 096. 5 copies of the MON88017 molecular fragment can be detected at 97. 5% confidence level. Consequently,the quantitative detection method established in this paper for the GM maize MON88017 has fairly high specificity,accuracy and sensitivity and this technology established in this paper can provide good technical support for the safety supervision of genetically modified organisms in China.展开更多

The main reason is that the technical problems related to the internal standard and the selection of quantitative peaks are not well solved, and the accuracy and precision of the results are not satisfactory. This study employed the concept of mass absorption coefficient based on the internal standard method, and the full spectrum fitting and quantitative methods were used to solve the above technical problems. The sample was blended. the internal standard substance of zinc oxide was fully ground, and tablets were prepared by positive pressure method. Under certain instrumental conditions, the PXRD pattern was obtained by scanning. The percentage of gypsum fibrosum in Xiaokening tablet was obtained by quantitative analysis of full spectrum fitting internal standard by TOPAS software. The method was investigated by methodology. At the same time, the method was compared by ion chromatography, and SPSS software was used to make a significant t test on the results of the two methods. After the investigation, the average standard recovery rate of CaSO4-2H2O was 99.06%(RSD = 3.02%);and the recovery rate for simulated samples was 96.7%. The method had good specificity. After statistical analysis, there was no significant difference between the new PXRD method and the traditional method of ion chromatography.展开更多

A simple linear quantitative fingerprint method(SLQFM)coupled with multi-ingredient simultaneous determination was developed to evaluate the quality consistency of the tested samples qualitatively and quantitatively. Additionally, the component–activity relationship between chromatographic fingerprints and total radical-scavenging capacity in vitro(as assessed using the 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) assay) was investigated by partial least squares regression(PLSR) analysis to predict the antioxidant capacity of new samples from the chromatographic fingerprints and identify the main active constituents that can be used as the target markers for the quality control of SHT. In conclusion, the strategy developed in the present study was effective and reliable, which can be employed for holistic evaluation and accurate discrimination for the quality consistency of SHT preparations and other traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and herbal preparations as well.展开更多
Artificial immune detection can be used to detect network intrusions in an adaptive approach and proper matching methods can improve the accuracy of immune detection methods.This paper proposes an artificial immune de...Artificial immune detection can be used to detect network intrusions in an adaptive approach and proper matching methods can improve the accuracy of immune detection methods.This paper proposes an artificial immune detection model for network intrusion data based on a quantitative matching method.The proposed model defines the detection process by using network data and decimal values to express features and artificial immune mechanisms are simulated to define immune elements.Then,to improve the accuracy of similarity calculation,a quantitative matching method is proposed.The model uses mathematical methods to train and evolve immune elements,increasing the diversity of immune recognition and allowing for the successful detection of unknown intrusions.The proposed model’s objective is to accurately identify known intrusions and expand the identification of unknown intrusions through signature detection and immune detection,overcoming the disadvantages of traditional methods.The experiment results show that the proposed model can detect intrusions effectively.It has a detection rate of more than 99.6%on average and a false alarm rate of 0.0264%.It outperforms existing immune intrusion detection methods in terms of comprehensive detection performance.展开更多
Objective:To compare the effects of clinical application of chemiluminescence and real-time,fluorescence-based quantitative PCR in the detection Epstein-Barr virus(EBV).Methods:The data of chemiluminescence and real-t...Objective:To compare the effects of clinical application of chemiluminescence and real-time,fluorescence-based quantitative PCR in the detection Epstein-Barr virus(EBV).Methods:The data of chemiluminescence and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR.fromipaEsfwo were suspected of being infectea w1tn rito1 roro January 2016 to January 2019 in our hospital were analyzed.The specific stage of EBV infection was analyzed,and the differences in results of the two detection methods were compared.Results:Chemiluminescence method was used to detect EBV infection during the active phase.The sensitivity of the chemiluminescence method was 76.7%(56/73)and the real-time quantitative PCRmethod was 90.4%(66/73).There was a statistical difference between the two detection methods(P<0.05).Conclusion:There was no statistical difference in positive predictive values between the chemiluminescence method and the real-time,fluorescence-based quantitative PCR method in the detection of EBV infection,but the sensitivity of chemiluminescence method is slightly lower than the real-time quantitative PCRmethod.It is noteworthy that chemiluminescence method is convenient and fast while the real-time,fluorescence-based quantitative PCR method is more accurate,which can provide a more accurate reference for clinical treatment.展开更多

文摘Four key stress thresholds exist in the compression process of rocks,i.e.,crack closure stress(σ_(cc)),crack initiation stress(σ_(ci)),crack damage stress(σ_(cd))and compressive strength(σ_(c)).The quantitative identifications of the first three stress thresholds are of great significance for characterizing the microcrack growth and damage evolution of rocks under compression.In this paper,a new method based on damage constitutive model is proposed to quantitatively measure the stress thresholds of rocks.Firstly,two different damage constitutive models were constructed based on acoustic emission(AE)counts and Weibull distribution function considering the compaction stages of the rock and the bearing capacity of the damage element.Then,the accumulative AE counts method(ACLM),AE count rate method(CRM)and constitutive model method(CMM)were introduced to determine the stress thresholds of rocks.Finally,the stress thresholds of 9 different rocks were identified by ACLM,CRM,and CMM.The results show that the theoretical stress−strain curves obtained from the two damage constitutive models are in good agreement with that of the experimental data,and the differences between the two damage constitutive models mainly come from the evolutionary differences of the damage variables.The results of the stress thresholds identified by the CMM are in good agreement with those identified by the AE methods,i.e.,ACLM and CRM.Therefore,the proposed CMM can be used to determine the stress thresholds of rocks.
文摘Purpose:This article reviews the development of quantitative methods in educational research in China since 1978.Design/Approach/Methods:For this summary and literature review,we used data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),relevant books,and research output from the Graduate School of Education,Peking University.Findings:We divided the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research into four stages:the Startup Stage(1978–1988),the Gradual Application Stage(1989–1998),the Growth Spurt Stage(1999–2008),and the Integrated and Diverse Development Stage(2009–2018).Overall,the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research shows sustained innovation in numerous aspects,including research methods,data sources,utilization of advancements in computing technology and statistical software,and research topics.However,despite the relatively advanced state of quantitative methods,education measurement and evaluation require further attention.The questionnaire and experimental research data currently available indicate the need to improve the mining and utilization of big data.Moreover,while Chinese educational researchers have demonstrated their proficiency in using quantitative research methods,improvements remain to be made with respect to collaboration and sharing.Originality/Value:This article is the first to analyze systemically the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research.It provides an original summary of the development and characteristics of quantitative methods in educational research in China.

文摘The recent advances in chromosome configuration capture (3C)-based series molecular methods and optical super- resolution (SR) techniques offer powerful tools to investigate three dimensional (3D) genomic structure in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell nucleus. In this review, we focus on the progress during the last decade in this exciting field. Here we at first introduce briefly genome organization at chromosome, domain and sub-domain level, respectively; then we provide a short introduction to various super-resolution microscopy techniques which can be employed to detect gcnome 3D structure. We also reviewed the progress of quantitative and visualization tools to evaluate and visualize chromatin interactions in 3D genome derived from Hi-C data. We end up with the discussion that imaging methods and 3C-based molecular methods are not mutually exclusive -- actually they arc complemental to each other and can be combined together to study 3D genome organization.

文摘The research on tectonization intensity plays an important role in the analyses of basin evolution and hydrocarbon accumulation. At present, methods in this field are almost qualitative, and the quantitative one is still rarely reported. In this study, a quantitative research method for tectonization intensity is proposed. The research result on Tahe-Lunnan oilfield shows that this method can not only quantitatively express the tectonization intensity, but also qualitatively reflect the macroscopic deform property and the evolution history of strata. Therefore, it is an effective method for analyzing the characteristics of tectonization. In addition, the realization of the method also can provide qualitative information for studying the influence and control of tectonization on hydrocarbon accumulation.

文摘Quantitative level evaluation of cold-rolled strip was significant for the shape control and the product structure optimization. Based on the probability statistics method and the shape pattern recognition method, the shape evaluation model of cold-rolled strip was established to evaluate real-time shape of the online strip. The model was embedded in the shape control system, and the online strip shape state was real-time observed whether to meet the technical indicators, so the shape level could be identified and evaluated. Based on the shape evaluation indicators, the shape component could be well controlled to improve the shape hit rate and the control stability, so that the rolled strip shape could meet the technical requirements. At a 1050 cold strip mill, the shape data of the scene typical specifications strip were online collected and real-time evaluated, and the hit of macro shape in less than 8 I was 68.44%, indicating that the mill shape control had considerable room for improvement, as well as the evaluation method was feasible and practical for quantitative evaluation of the strip shape. So the new evaluation model has important guiding significance to increase value-added and reduce product quality objection.

文摘A real-time quantitative optical method to characterize crack propagation in colloidal photonic crystal film(CPCF)is developed based on particle deformation models and previous real-time crack observations. The crack propagation process and temperature dependence of the crack propagation rate in CPCF are investigated. By this method, the crack propagation rate is found to slow down gradually to zero when cracks become more numerous and dense. Meanwhile, with the temperature increasing, the crack propagation rate constant decreases. The negative temperature dependence of the crack propagation rate is due to the increase of van der Waals attraction, which finally results in the decrease of resultant force. The findings provide new insight into the crack propagation process in CPCF.

文摘In order to improve the standardized technical system of quantitative analyses for genetically modified organisms( GMOs) and protect China's bio-safety and reduce ecological risk,we establish a quantitative detection method for the genetically modified( GM) maize MON88017 using real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR. Meanwhile,the method is evaluated by several methodological indicators such as specificity,sensitivity,accuracy and uncertainty of measurement. The results show that the method has strong specificity in analysis of genetically modified maize MON88017. The mean value(1. 54%) repeatedly measured for 29 times with the relative deviation of 2. 7% was close to the real value(1. 50%) and the variation coefficient of the measured value was 0. 1. The tested recovery rate is 100% and the uncertainty of measurement is 0. 096. 5 copies of the MON88017 molecular fragment can be detected at 97. 5% confidence level. Consequently,the quantitative detection method established in this paper for the GM maize MON88017 has fairly high specificity,accuracy and sensitivity and this technology established in this paper can provide good technical support for the safety supervision of genetically modified organisms in China.
文摘pH-fixed titration method for the determination of weak acids and bases has been studied in this paper.It is not necessary to know the ionization constant of weak acid or base and the concentration of titrant. This method had been applied to determine phenol,4-aminoantipyrine and glycine,whose ionization constants range from 10^(-10)to 10^(-12).The results were satisfactory.
文摘In this paper,an approach is developed to optimize the quality of the training samples in the conventional Artificial Neural Network(ANN)by incorporating expert knowledge in the means of constructing expert-rule samples from rules in an expert system,and through training by using these samples,an ANN based on expert-knowledge is further developed.The method is introduced into the field of quantitative identification of potential seismic sources on the basis of the rules in an expert system.Then it is applied to the quantitative identification of the potential seismic sources in Beijing and its adjacent area.The result indicates that the expert rule based on ANN method can well incorporate and represent the expert knowledge in the rules in an expert system,and the quality of the samples and the efficiency of training and the accuracy of the result are optimized.
文摘The research on the application of X-ray diffraction in the quantitative analysis of Chinese medicines is rare. The main reason is that the technical problems related to the internal standard and the selection of quantitative peaks are not well solved, and the accuracy and precision of the results are not satisfactory. This study employed the concept of mass absorption coefficient based on the internal standard method, and the full spectrum fitting and quantitative methods were used to solve the above technical problems. The sample was blended. the internal standard substance of zinc oxide was fully ground, and tablets were prepared by positive pressure method. Under certain instrumental conditions, the PXRD pattern was obtained by scanning. The percentage of gypsum fibrosum in Xiaokening tablet was obtained by quantitative analysis of full spectrum fitting internal standard by TOPAS software. The method was investigated by methodology. At the same time, the method was compared by ion chromatography, and SPSS software was used to make a significant t test on the results of the two methods. After the investigation, the average standard recovery rate of CaSO4-2H2O was 99.06%(RSD = 3.02%);and the recovery rate for simulated samples was 96.7%. The method had good specificity. After statistical analysis, there was no significant difference between the new PXRD method and the traditional method of ion chromatography.
文摘Research topic of this paper is to discuss theory of Human Resources Management (HRM) and to discuss using of quantitative methods in HRM. Firstly, five variables establish HRM theory. They are HRM practices, positive organizational behaviors, individual performance, performance of business departments, and firm performance. Transactions among those variables enable Human Resources (HR) practitioners to apply HRM theory in their organizations. Secondly, this paper discusses use of quantitative methods in HRM. They are vector analysis and decision tree analysis. Those analyses enable HR practitioners to make effective HR decisions. Decision tree sets HR alternatives to efficiently implement HRM practices in organizations. Research question is how HR practitioners apply quantitative methods in department of HRM in firms. Finally this research comes out a conclusion that quantitative methods may be used in HRM.

文摘The present study was designed to establish a multi-wavelength quantitative fingerprinting method for San-Huang Tablets(SHT), a widely used and commercially available herbal preparation, where high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) with a diode array detector(DAD) was employed to obtain the fingerprint profiles. A simple linear quantitative fingerprint method(SLQFM)coupled with multi-ingredient simultaneous determination was developed to evaluate the quality consistency of the tested samples qualitatively and quantitatively. Additionally, the component–activity relationship between chromatographic fingerprints and total radical-scavenging capacity in vitro(as assessed using the 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) assay) was investigated by partial least squares regression(PLSR) analysis to predict the antioxidant capacity of new samples from the chromatographic fingerprints and identify the main active constituents that can be used as the target markers for the quality control of SHT. In conclusion, the strategy developed in the present study was effective and reliable, which can be employed for holistic evaluation and accurate discrimination for the quality consistency of SHT preparations and other traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and herbal preparations as well.

文摘Artificial immune detection can be used to detect network intrusions in an adaptive approach and proper matching methods can improve the accuracy of immune detection methods.This paper proposes an artificial immune detection model for network intrusion data based on a quantitative matching method.The proposed model defines the detection process by using network data and decimal values to express features and artificial immune mechanisms are simulated to define immune elements.Then,to improve the accuracy of similarity calculation,a quantitative matching method is proposed.The model uses mathematical methods to train and evolve immune elements,increasing the diversity of immune recognition and allowing for the successful detection of unknown intrusions.The proposed model’s objective is to accurately identify known intrusions and expand the identification of unknown intrusions through signature detection and immune detection,overcoming the disadvantages of traditional methods.The experiment results show that the proposed model can detect intrusions effectively.It has a detection rate of more than 99.6%on average and a false alarm rate of 0.0264%.It outperforms existing immune intrusion detection methods in terms of comprehensive detection performance.
文摘Objective:To compare the effects of clinical application of chemiluminescence and real-time,fluorescence-based quantitative PCR in the detection Epstein-Barr virus(EBV).Methods:The data of chemiluminescence and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR.fromipaEsfwo were suspected of being infectea w1tn rito1 roro January 2016 to January 2019 in our hospital were analyzed.The specific stage of EBV infection was analyzed,and the differences in results of the two detection methods were compared.Results:Chemiluminescence method was used to detect EBV infection during the active phase.The sensitivity of the chemiluminescence method was 76.7%(56/73)and the real-time quantitative PCRmethod was 90.4%(66/73).There was a statistical difference between the two detection methods(P<0.05).Conclusion:There was no statistical difference in positive predictive values between the chemiluminescence method and the real-time,fluorescence-based quantitative PCR method in the detection of EBV infection,but the sensitivity of chemiluminescence method is slightly lower than the real-time quantitative PCRmethod.It is noteworthy that chemiluminescence method is convenient and fast while the real-time,fluorescence-based quantitative PCR method is more accurate,which can provide a more accurate reference for clinical treatment.
文摘The sensory evaluation method was introduced so late in China, and a complete system of this method has not built yet in cosmetics industry. In this article, the application of the Quantitative Descriptive Analysis method in the evaluation of the sensory assessment items are studied. With the SPSS reliability analysis, it was found that the Quantitative Descriptive Analysis method is not suitable for some sensory assessment items.
