The lift coefficient (C_(L)), drag coefficient (C_(D)), and vortex shedding of the underwater manipulator in single-and dualarm forms were obtained. Results indicated that the maximum increase in the lift and drag coefficients subjected to the pulsation parameters was 24.45%and 28%, respectively, when the fluid flowed past a single arm. Compared with the single arm, the lift and drag coefficients of the arms were higher than those of the single arm when arm 2 was located upstream. Additionally, the pulsation frequency had no obvious effect on the manipulator, but the C_(L) and C_(D) of arm 2 showed an obvious increasing trend with an increase in pulsation amplitude. Meanwhile, when arm 2 was located downstream, the C_(L) and C_(D) of arm 2 were reduced by 16.38%and 1.15%, respectively, with an increase in the pulse frequency, and the maximum increase in the lift and dragcoefficients was 33.33%and 16.78%,respectively,with increasing pulsation amplitude. Moreover, the downstream wake morphology changed significantly, and a combined vortex phenomenon appeared. Finally, a theoretical basis for examining the hydrodynamic characteristics of marine engineering equipment was established to aid future marine resource exploitation.展开更多

The flow visualizations show that jetting is the flow regime for the submerged gas injection at a high speed in the parameter range under consideration. The obtained results indicate that high-speed gas jets in still water induce large pressure pulsations upstream of the nozzle exit and the presence of shock-cell structure in the over- and under-expanded jets leads to an increase in the intensity of the jet-induced hydrodynamic pressure.展开更多

However, experimental study on this problem is unacceptable for industrial applications due to unsustainable cost. A hybrid method that couples computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with computational aeroacoustic software is used to predict the flow-induced noise of pumps in order to minimize the noise of centrifugal pumps in actual projects. Under Langthjem's assumption that the blade surface pressure is the main flow-induced acoustic source in centrifugal pumps, the blade surface pressure pulsation is considered in terms of the acoustical sources and simulated using CFX software. The pressure pulsation and noise distribution in the near-cutoff region are examined for the blade-passing frequency (BPF) noise, and the sound pressure level (SPL) reached peaks near the cutoff that corresponded with the pressure pulsation in this region. An experiment is performed to validate this prediction. Four hydrophones are fixed to the inlet and outlet ports of the test pump to measure the flow-induced noise from the four-port model. The simulation results for the noise are analyzed and compared with the experimental results. The variation in the calculated noise with changes in the flow agreed well with the experimental results. When the flow rate was increased, the SPL first decreased and reached the minimum near the best efficient point (BEP); it then increased when the flow rate was further increased. The numerical and experimental results confirmed that the BPF noise generated by a blade-rotating dipole roughly reflects the acoustic features of centrifugal pumps. The noise simulation method in current study has a good feasibility and suitability, which could be adopted in engineering design to predict and optimize the hydroacoustic behavior of centrifugal pumps.展开更多

文摘This study systematically investigated the effects of different gas stove structures on flame combustion characteristics using spectral diagnostic techniques, aiming to provide optimized design guidelines for clean energy applications. To explore the combustion behaviors of various gas stove structures,UV cameras,high-speed cameras, and K-type thermocouples were employed to measure parameters such as flame OH radicals(OH*),flame morphology, pulsation frequency, flame temperature, and heat flux. The results demonstrate that flame stability was achieved at an inner/outer cover flow rate ratio of 0.5/4.0 L/min,beyond which further flow rate increases led to reduced combustion efficiency.Compared to covered stoves,top-uncovered stove exhibited 5.5%and 12.4%higher temperatures at the inner and outer covers, respectively, along with a 35%increase in heat flux.Comprehensive analysis revealed an approximately 20%enhancement in overall flame intensity. The experimental results show that top-uncovered gas stoves exhibit higher flame intensity, greater combustion efficiency, and overall higher stove efficiency. In contrast, covered gas stoves feature a more controllable and stable flame with a gentler temperature rise. This study underscores the importance of optimizing gas stove designs to enhance combustion efficiency and reduce emissions, contributing to the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources and promoting sustainable development.

文摘The present work deals with the numerical study of the two-phase flow pattern and heat transfer characteristics of single-loop pulsating heat pipes(PHPs)under three modified surfaces(superhydrophilic evaporation section paired with superhydrophilic, superhydrophobic, and hybrid condensation section). The Volume of Fluid(VOF)model was utilized to capture the phase-change process within the PHPs.The study also evaluated the influence of surface wettability on fluid patterns and thermo-dynamic heat transfer performance under various heat fluxes. The results indicated that the effective nucleation and detachment of droplets are critical factors influencing the thermal performance of the PHPs.The overall heat transfer performance of the superhydrophobic surface was significantly improved at low heat flux.Under medium to high heat flux, the superhydrophilic condensation section exhibits a strong oscillation effect and leads to the thickening of the liquid film.In addition, the hybrid surface possesses the heat transfer characteristics of both superhydrophilic and superhydrophobic walls. The hybrid condensation section exhibited the lowest thermal resistance by 0.45 K/W at the heat flux of 10731 W/m^(2).The thermal resistance is reduced by 13.1%and 5.4%,respectively,compared to the superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic conditions. The proposed surface-modification method for achieving highly efficient condensation heat transfer is helpful for the design and operation of device-cooling components.
文摘The arterial pulse tapping artifact, known as Aslanger’s sign,is an electrocardiographic artifact resulting from the transmission of arterial pulsation onto the limb electrodes of the standard 12-lead electrocardiograph(ECG)which are placed near the radial or posterior tibial arteries.[1-16]This electromechanical artifact is of cardiac origin and is synchronous with the cardiac cycle.[17]Nearly all reported cases of Aslanger’s sign exhibit an unusual waveform morphology in all 12 leads except one limb lead.[1-14,16]However,we previously reported a case of Aslanger’s sign that showed distorted waveforms from the ST to TP segments observed only in five limb leads among 12 leads.

文摘This study investigates the nonlinear dynamics of geometrically imperfect graphene platelet-reinforced metal foam(GPLRMF)fluid-conveying pipes under the 1:1 internal resonance condition. With simply supported boundary conditions, the system is subject to the combined external lateral loads and internal pulsating fluid excitations. The nonlinear dynamic model is established with the Euler-Lagrange equations and then systematically discretized via the Galerkin method. The multi-scale analysis reveals how material properties and geometric imperfections influence the internal resonance.Particular emphasis is placed on elucidating, through the modal energy analysis, the energy exchange mechanisms between the first two vibration modes.

文摘This study investigates the feasibility of a novel dual two-phase cooling system for thermal management in lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles(EVs).The proposed system aims to combine low-boiling dielectric fluid immersion cooling and pulsating heat pipes(PHPs),in order to leverage the advantages of both technologies for efficient heat dissipation in a completely passive configuration.Experimental evaluations conducted under different discharge conditions demonstrate that the systemeffectivelymaintains battery temperatureswithin the optimal range of 20–40℃,with enhanced temperature uniformity and stability. While the PHP exhibited minimal impact at low power, its role became critical under higher discharge rates, ensuring efficient vapor condensation and pressure stability. The results highlight the potential of this passive cooling system to improve battery performance and safety, supporting its application in EV battery thermal management.Future work aims to optimize design parameters and evaluate real battery modules under ultra-fast charging scenarios.

文摘The high turbulence of unstable combustion in the working process of liquid rocket engine will cause periodic pressure pulsation. Therefore,a pressure pulsation device that is easy to reuse, broadband, suited for poisonous media, and high pressure is designed and produced.Numerical and experimental studies show that the pulsator produces stable pressure waveforms at different flow rates, pressures, and frequencies, while the pressure waveform amplitude at the excitation frequency is larger. The pressure waveform amplitude increases exponentially with the flow rate and with smaller gaps and linear pressure increasing. The pressure waveform amplitude varies greatly at different frequencies along the pipeline. As the frequency increases, the pressure waveform amplitude of the excitation increases first and then decreases. The pressure waveform amplitude at low frequencies changes little along the pipeline. The pressure waveform amplitude at medium frequencies readily couples to the pipeline flow field and increases its value. The pressure waveform amplitude at high frequencies attenuates along the pipeline, where attenuation increases with frequency. The ability of the pulsator to provide stable excitation and high pressure is verified through normal and high pressure testsindifferentpipelinesystems.

文摘The present paper describes experimental investigation on the flow pattern and hydrodynamic effect of underwater gas jets from supersonic and sonic nozzles operated in correct- and imperfect expansion conditions. The flow visualizations show that jetting is the flow regime for the submerged gas injection at a high speed in the parameter range under consideration. The obtained results indicate that high-speed gas jets in still water induce large pressure pulsations upstream of the nozzle exit and the presence of shock-cell structure in the over- and under-expanded jets leads to an increase in the intensity of the jet-induced hydrodynamic pressure.

文摘With the increasing noise pollution, low noise optimization of centrifugal pimps has become a hot topic. The noise simulation method in current study has a good feasibility and suitability, which could be adopted in engineering design to predict and optimize the hydroacoustic behavior of centrifugal pumps.
