This paper discusses interpretivist constructivism and its value to qualitative nursing research. Methods: The paper synthesizes relevant literature on the importance of interpretivist constructivism in nursing research. It reviews the key elements of interpretivism, the principles of constructivism, the connection between the two approaches, the benefits and limitations of constructivism in nursing research, and the steps for conducting constructivist stroke nursing research. Results: Interpretivist constructivism emphasizes the importance of human experiences, interactions, and social contexts in knowledge development. It allows nurse researchers to adopt flexible, participant-driven approaches to explore and understand complex subjective human phenomena. This approach respects the unique perspectives and contexts of stakeholders, including patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and knowledge users. By following specific steps, constructivist researchers can improve the rigor, transparency, and validity of qualitative nursing research while reducing biases in interpreting the inherently subjective experiences of patients. Conclusion: A deeper understanding of the complexities of interpretivism and constructivism in qualitative research is essential. This paper provides a clear, comprehensive guide for effectively applying these approaches in qualitative nursing research.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal(GI)tumors are among the most prevalent malignancies, and surgical intervention remains a primary treatment modality. However, the complexity of GI surgery often leads to prolonged recovery and high postoperative complication rates, which threaten patient safety and functional outcomes.Enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)principles have been shown to improve perioperative outcomes through evidence-based,multidisciplinary care pathways.Despite its widespread adoption, there is a paucity of research focusing specifically on optimizing ERAS-guided nursing processes in the post-anesthesia care unit(PACU)and evaluating its impact on perioperative safety in patients undergoing GI tumor surgery. This study aimed to investigate whether an ERASbased PACU nursing protocol could enhance recovery, reduce complications, and improve patient safety in this surgical population.AIM To explore the impact of optimizing the recovery room nursing process based on ERAS on the perioperative safety of patients with GI tumors.METHODS A total of 260 patients with GI tumors who underwent elective surgeries under general anesthesia in our hospital from August 2023 to August 2025 and were then observed in the recovery unit(PACU)were selected. They were randomly divided into the observation group(the PACU nursing process was optimized based on ERAS)and the control group(the conventional PACU nursing process was adopted)by the random number grouping method, with 130 cases in each group. The time of gastric tube removal, urinary catheter removal, defecation time, hospital stay, time of leaving the room after tube removal, retention time in the recovery room, occurrence of complications, satisfaction and readmission rate were compared between the two groups after entering the room.Compare the occurrence of adverse events in the PACU nursing process between the two groups.RESULTS The time of gastric tube removal, urinary catheter removal, defecation time, hospital stay, retention time in the recovery room, total incidence of complications and readmission rate in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the satisfaction rate was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The occurrence of adverse events in the PACU nursing process in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Optimizing the PACU nursing process based on ERAS can effectively accelerate the recovery process of patients undergoing GI tumor surgery, reduce adverse events, improve nursing satisfaction, and at the same time, lower the incidence of adverse events in the PACU nursing process, providing a more refined management basis for clinical practice.
文摘Problem-oriented teaching is a widely used teaching method in the process of nursing teaching so far, which is of great significance to nursing teaching. In this paper, four kinds of nursing intervention models, family-centered nursing, evidence-based nursing, self-care and emotional nursing, were selected for classroom teaching in higher vocational colleges. The specific teaching significance of problem-oriented teaching in learning these four kinds of nursing intervention models was discussed respectively, so as to provide reference and guidance for clinical nursing. This article selected four common nursing interventions in clinical nursing: family-centered nursing and self-nursing, which are suitable for home relatives of discharged patients to take care of them or patients to take self-care after orthopedic replacement. Emotional nursing is suitable for psychological counseling of patients with benign and malignant tumors;Evidence-based nursing is suitable for clinical nursing intervention based on evidence, and is commonly used in TCM diagnosis and treatment.
文摘Objective:To explore the effects of problem-oriented nursing on self-efficacy and compliance behavior of patients undergoing coronary intervention. Methods:Seventy patients who underwent coronary intervention in a hospital from March 2024 to February 2025 were selected and divided into the control group(n=35)and the observation group(n=35)by using the randomized numeric table method. The control group implemented conventional clinical care, and the observation group was given problem-oriented nursing intervention on the basis of conventional care. The self-efficacy,negative psychological state, medical compliance behavior, and quality of life improvement of patients in the two groups were compared. Results:Before nursing intervention, the difference in the scores of patients’role function, symptom management, emotion management,nurse-patient communication and exchange and other dimensions between the control group and the observation group was not statistically significant(P>0.05).After nursing intervention, the scores of all indexes of the two groups were significantly higher, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before nursing intervention, the difference in the scores of patients’anxiety and depression status between the control group and the observation group was not statistical significance(P>0.05).However,after nursing intervention, the negative psychological state of the two groups improved significantly, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total excellent rate of patients’compliance behavior in the observation group was 97.14%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group, which was 74.29%,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The patients of the observation group had a higher psychological state, social function, physical condition, emotional condition and other dimension scores of patients in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The implementation of problem-oriented nursing care for patients undergoing coronary intervention can not only significantly improve their self-efficacy and enhance their compliance behavior, but also positively improve their negative emotions of anxiety and depression, and improve their quality of life.
文摘BACKGROUND Patients with depression following coronary heart disease often exhibit insufficient psychological resilience and self-care abilities;therefore, emphasis must be placed on nursing interventions.AIM To analyze the application value of problem-oriented education combined with nursing interventions based on the Snyder hope theory model in depressed patients after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).METHODS This study included 150 patients diagnosed with PCI postoperative depression because of coronary heart disease between February 2022 and February 2024.Participants were divided into two groups:A control group(n=75)receiving problem-oriented education and an observation group(n=75)receiving combined nursing interventions based on the Snyder hope theory model.Depression status, psychological resilience,self-care ability, and quality of life were compared between the two groups.RESULTS Before nursing interventions, there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).After the interventions, depression scores decreased while psychological resilience,self-care ability, and quality of life scores increased significantly in the observation group compared to that in the control group, with statistically significant differences noted(P<0.05).This combined approach can enhance psychological resilience, improve self-care abilities, and elevate the overall quality of life, warranting further promotion in clinical practice.CONCLUSION Combination of problem-oriented education and nursing interventions based on the Snyder hope theory model effectively alleviates depression in patients following PCI for coronary heart disease.

文摘Background: In response to the limitations of logical empiricism, interpretivism emerged as a philosophical approach for developing nursing knowledge. This paper provides a clear, comprehensive guide for effectively applying these approaches in qualitative nursing research.
