Methods: From August 2022 to April 2023, an investigation was conducted among urban and rural elderly individuals aged over 75 years in Tangshan City using the Activities of Daily Living Scale, the Revised Community Elderly Fall Risk Assessment Tool, and the Loneliness Scale. Results: The study included 750 urban and 740 rural elderly individuals aged over 75 years. Matrix analysis revealed a significant proportion of fall safety care needs across various daily life and spiritual care requirements. Multiple factor analysis indicated that advanced age, lower education levels, a greater number of chronic diseases, and lower levels of family and social support were associated with higher care demands among the elderly in both urban and rural areas. These differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The elderly in urban and rural areas demonstrate a high demand for fall safety care. Particular attention should be given to individuals with lower education levels, those who are widowed, those with multiple chronic diseases, and those with low levels of family and social support to better meet the diverse care needs of this population.展开更多

Comfort care plays an im- portant role in the postoperative management of a cardiac surgery patient. Methods A self-made General Com- fort Scale was used to evaluate the discomfort factors of 156 adult patients who underwent cardiac surgery in our department of Guangdong General Hospital from January to April 2014. All patients had open chest cardiac sur- gery under general anesthesia and cardiopulmonary bypass. The reasons for the discomfort were collected and the appropriate comfort cares were implemented. Results Our data showed that the main factors influencing the comfort of surgical patients included pain, thirst, hunger, nausea, vomit, abdominal distension, sleeping disorder, postural discomfort, surrounding and psychological causes etc. Among the 156 adult patients, 153 patients com- plained of thirst, 141 patients felt painful, 96 patients felt hungry, and 67 patients had sleeping disorders. These discomfort factors affected the treatment and rehabilitation of patients. Conclusions Basic and specific comfort and appropriate nursing cares should be carried out to alleviate the discomfort factors such as sleep disorder, pain and endotracheal intubation, which could protect patients' benefit and promote their rehabilitation.展开更多

Methods: 60 elderly patients with anorectal surgery admitted to our hospital in 2020 were randomly selected and evenly divided into the control group (conventional nursing method) and the observation group (comfortable nursing intervention), and the nursing effects of the two groups of patients were compared. Results: comfortable nursing intervention was applied to the elderly patients in anorectal surgery, which significantly improved their nursing satisfaction, the incidence of complications and the average hospitalization time, as compared with the conventional group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: comfortable nursing intervention can significantly improve the nursing safety and satisfaction of elderly patients undergoing anorectal surgery and assist in accelerating the rehabilitation progress.展开更多

Methodologies: the experimental samples of children with respiratory tract infection received from June 2019 to September 2020 were selected as research objects. The selective classification of computer system enables us to objectively group 120 children participating in the experiment. When the Group uses conventional nursing methods, it will provide comfortable nursing and compare the nursing results. Results: from the qualitative point of view, 95.0% (57/60) of the observation group took care of the sick children, while 85.0% (51/60) of the control group had statistical significance (P < 0.05). At the same time, in the investigation of the timing of stopping clinical symptoms, the results of this group for sick children are higher than those of the control group, and the difference is statistically significant in nature. Finally, the satisfaction of family members with children in this group was 96.7% (58/60), significantly higher than that of the control group of 83.3% (50/60), the difference was statistically significant. The bottom line: comfortable care improves the feasibility of clinical care, and also helps families understand the child's rehabilitation, treatment stage, and improve the sick relationship, thus building trust and value.展开更多
