The Chinese government’s common prosperity policy has inspired a series of rural development initiatives aimed at reducing income disparities between urban and rural areas.Zhejiang Province was designated as the firs...The Chinese government’s common prosperity policy has inspired a series of rural development initiatives aimed at reducing income disparities between urban and rural areas.Zhejiang Province was designated as the first demonstration zone in China’s pursuit of common prosperity.To explore the demonstration effect of rural development on narrowing the income gap between urban and rural areas,this study adopts the Theil index to measure urban-rural income disparity levels and explores spatial evolution patterns of the income disparity in 52 counties of Zhejiang Province,China from 2011 to 2020.The spatial Durbin model is also used to investigate the impact of rural development on the urban-rural income disparity.The results show that:1)Urban-rural income disparities have gradually narrowed.Moreover,income disparities across the province are spatially clustered from north to south.Narrowing the gap between mountainous and non-mountainous counties is imperative for resolving these spatial imbalances in the short term.2)Rural development reduces urban-rural income disparity levels and generates economic and technological spillover effects,as evidenced by the phenomenon where development in one county leads to reduced income disparities in neighboring counties.3)The technological innovation enhances the co-development of rural industries through technological diffusion effects,further strengthening rural development.Finally,enhancing the ecological environment synergizes with rural development to reduce urban-rural income disparities.The research results provide policy implications for narrowing the urban-rural income disparity and promoting common prosperity.展开更多
The promotion of rural revitalization within the ecological conservation areas(“ECAs”) requires a careful balance between ecological protection and economic development and should be guided by the principle of ecolo...The promotion of rural revitalization within the ecological conservation areas(“ECAs”) requires a careful balance between ecological protection and economic development and should be guided by the principle of ecological priority. The cultivation of rural “Local Specialty Products”(“LSPs”) under a green-development framework aligns with the functional positioning of these areas, drives the revitalization of rural industries, and constitutes a fundamental strategy for addressing the unique challenges they face. Although ECAs possess inherent advantages in terms of developing LSPs, they are also confronted by multiple constraints. Accordingly, we propose development objectives that emphasize(a) driving rural industrial prosperity,(b) enhancing the appeal of agricultural heritage, and(c) ensuring inclusive prosperity in the farming communities. In selecting pathways for growth, priority should be given to improving the quality of products, fostering distinctiveness of the technologies, nurturing cultural identities, and upholding the principle of common prosperity. From a policy standpoint, the development of rural LSPs should be recognized as a key lever for advancing the comprehensiveness of rural revitalization in the ECAs. We recommend a set of supportive measures—namely, reinforcing the guidance for spatial planning, integrating the consolidation of factor inputs, and ensuring the robustness of organizational guarantees—to facilitate the high-quality development of LSPs in these areas.展开更多

Motor neuron diseases are sporadic or inherited fatal neurodegenerative conditions.They selectively affect the upper and/or lower motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord and feature a slow onset and a subacute cour...Motor neuron diseases are sporadic or inherited fatal neurodegenerative conditions.They selectively affect the upper and/or lower motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord and feature a slow onset and a subacute course contingent upon the site of damage.The main types include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,progressive muscular atrophy,primary lateral sclerosis,and progressive bulbar palsy,the pathological processes of which are largely identical,with the main disparity lying in the location of the lesions.Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is the representative condition in this group of diseases,while other types are its variants.Hence,this article mainly focuses on the advancements and challenges in drug research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis but also briefly addresses several other important degenerative motor neuron diseases.Although the precise pathogenesis remains elusive,recent advancements have shed light on various theories,including gene mutation,excitatory amino acid toxicity,autoimmunology,and neurotrophic factors.The US Food and Drug Administration has approved four drugs for use in delaying the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis:riluzole,edaravone,AMX0035,and tofersen,with the latter being the most recent to receive approval.However,following several phaseⅢtrials that failed to yield favorable outcomes,AMX0035 has been voluntarily withdrawn from both the US and Canadian markets.This article presents a comprehensive summary of drug trials primarily completed between January 1,2023,and June 30,2024,based on data sourced from clinicaltrials.gov.Among these trials,five are currently in phaseⅠ,seventeen are in phaseⅡ,and eleven are undergoing phaseⅢevaluation.Notably,24 clinical trials are now investigating potential disease-modifying therapy drugs,accounting for the majority of the drugs included in this review.Some promising drugs being investigated in preclinical studies,such as ATH-1105,are included in our analysis,and another review in frontiers in gene therapy and immunotherapy has demonstrated their therapeutic potential for motor neuron diseases.This article was written to be an overview of research trends and treatment prospects related to motor neuron disease drugs,with the aim of highlighting the latest potentialities for clinical therapy.展开更多

Through a mixed-methods approach incorporating surveys of 523 employees across 78 SMEs, qualitative interviews, and case studies, the research examines how psychological factors influence cybersecurity behaviors and policy effectiveness. Key findings reveal significant correlations between psychological factors and security outcomes, including the relationship between self-efficacy and policy compliance (r = 0.42, p β = 0.37, p < 0.001). The study identifies critical challenges in risk perception, policy complexity, and organizational culture affecting SME cybersecurity implementation. Results demonstrate that successful cybersecurity initiatives require the integration of psychological principles with technical solutions. The research provides a framework for developing human-centric security policies that address both behavioral and technical aspects of cybersecurity in resource-constrained environments.展开更多
The leucine-rich repeat(LRR)protein family is involved in a variety of fundamental metabolic and signaling processes in plants,including growth and defense responses.LRR proteins can be divided into two categories:tho...The leucine-rich repeat(LRR)protein family is involved in a variety of fundamental metabolic and signaling processes in plants,including growth and defense responses.LRR proteins can be divided into two categories:those containing LRR domains along with other structural elements,which are further subdivided into five groups,LRR receptor-like kinases,LRR receptor-like proteins,nucleotide-binding site LRR proteins,LRR-extensin proteins,and polygalacturonase-inhibiting proteins,and those containing only LRR domains.Functionally,various LRR proteins are primarily involved in plant development and responses to environmental stress.Notably,the LRR protein family plays a central role in signal transduction pathways related to stress adaptation.In this review,we classify and analyze the functions of LRR proteins in plants.While extensive research has been conducted on the roles of LRR proteins in disease resistance signaling,these proteins also play important roles in abiotic stress responses.This review highlights recent advances in understanding how LRR proteins mediate responses to biotic and abiotic stresses.Building upon these insights,further exploration of the roles of LRR proteins in abiotic stress resistance may aid efforts to develop rice varieties with enhanced stress and disease tolerance.展开更多

Cardiotoxicity is a critical issue in drug development that poses serious health risks,including potentially fatal arrhythmias.The human ether-à-go-go related gene(hERG)potassium channel,as one of the primary tar...Cardiotoxicity is a critical issue in drug development that poses serious health risks,including potentially fatal arrhythmias.The human ether-à-go-go related gene(hERG)potassium channel,as one of the primary targets of cardiotoxicity,has garnered widespread attention.Traditional cardiotoxicity testing methods are expensive and time-consuming,making computational virtual screening a suitable alternative.In this study,we employed machine learning techniques utilizing molecular fingerprints and descriptors to predict the cardiotoxicity of compounds,with the aim of improving prediction accuracy and efficiency.We used four types of molecular fingerprints and descriptors combined with machine learning and deep learning algorithms,including Gaussian naive Bayes(NB),random forest(RF),support vector machine(SVM),K-nearest neighbors(KNN),eXtreme gradient boosting(XGBoost),and Transformer models,to build predictive models.Our models demonstrated advanced predictive performance.The best machine learning model,XGBoost Morgan,achieved an accuracy(ACC)value of 0.84,and the deep learning model,Transformer_Morgan,achieved the best ACC value of 0.85,showing a high ability to distinguish between toxic and non-toxic compounds.On an external independent validation set,it achieved the best area under the curve(AUC)value of 0.93,surpassing ADMETlab3.0,Cardpred,and CardioDPi.In addition,we explored the integration of molecular descriptors and fingerprints to enhance model performance and found that ensemble methods,such as voting and stacking,provided slight improvements in model stability.Furthermore,the SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)explanations revealed the relationship between benzene rings,fluorine-containing groups,NH groups,oxygen in ether groups,and cardiotoxicity,highlighting the importance of these features.This study not only improved the predictive accuracy of cardiotoxicity models but also promoted a more reliable and scientifically interpretable method for drug safety assessment.Using computational methods,this study facilitates a more efficient drug development process,reduces costs,and improves the safety of new drug candidates,ultimately benefiting medical and public health.展开更多

文摘Motor neuron diseases are sporadic or inherited fatal neurodegenerative conditions.They selectively affect the upper and/or lower motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord and feature a slow onset and a subacute course contingent upon the site of damage.The main types include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,progressive muscular atrophy,primary lateral sclerosis,and progressive bulbar palsy,the pathological processes of which are largely identical,with the main disparity lying in the location of the lesions.Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is the representative condition in this group of diseases,while other types are its variants.Hence,this article mainly focuses on the advancements and challenges in drug research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis but also briefly addresses several other important degenerative motor neuron diseases.Although the precise pathogenesis remains elusive,recent advancements have shed light on various theories,including gene mutation,excitatory amino acid toxicity,autoimmunology,and neurotrophic factors.The US Food and Drug Administration has approved four drugs for use in delaying the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis:riluzole,edaravone,AMX0035,and tofersen,with the latter being the most recent to receive approval.However,following several phaseⅢtrials that failed to yield favorable outcomes,AMX0035 has been voluntarily withdrawn from both the US and Canadian markets.This article presents a comprehensive summary of drug trials primarily completed between January 1,2023,and June 30,2024,based on data sourced from clinicaltrials.gov.Among these trials,five are currently in phaseⅠ,seventeen are in phaseⅡ,and eleven are undergoing phaseⅢevaluation.Notably,24 clinical trials are now investigating potential disease-modifying therapy drugs,accounting for the majority of the drugs included in this review.Some promising drugs being investigated in preclinical studies,such as ATH-1105,are included in our analysis,and another review in frontiers in gene therapy and immunotherapy has demonstrated their therapeutic potential for motor neuron diseases.This article was written to be an overview of research trends and treatment prospects related to motor neuron disease drugs,with the aim of highlighting the latest potentialities for clinical therapy.
文摘This study investigates the critical intersection of cyberpsychology and cybersecurity policy development in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Through a mixed-methods approach incorporating surveys of 523 employees across 78 SMEs, qualitative interviews, and case studies, the research examines how psychological factors influence cybersecurity behaviors and policy effectiveness. Key findings reveal significant correlations between psychological factors and security outcomes, including the relationship between self-efficacy and policy compliance (r = 0.42, p β = 0.37, p < 0.001). The study identifies critical challenges in risk perception, policy complexity, and organizational culture affecting SME cybersecurity implementation. Results demonstrate that successful cybersecurity initiatives require the integration of psychological principles with technical solutions. The research provides a framework for developing human-centric security policies that address both behavioral and technical aspects of cybersecurity in resource-constrained environments.

文摘The leucine-rich repeat(LRR)protein family is involved in a variety of fundamental metabolic and signaling processes in plants,including growth and defense responses.LRR proteins can be divided into two categories:those containing LRR domains along with other structural elements,which are further subdivided into five groups,LRR receptor-like kinases,LRR receptor-like proteins,nucleotide-binding site LRR proteins,LRR-extensin proteins,and polygalacturonase-inhibiting proteins,and those containing only LRR domains.Functionally,various LRR proteins are primarily involved in plant development and responses to environmental stress.Notably,the LRR protein family plays a central role in signal transduction pathways related to stress adaptation.In this review,we classify and analyze the functions of LRR proteins in plants.While extensive research has been conducted on the roles of LRR proteins in disease resistance signaling,these proteins also play important roles in abiotic stress responses.This review highlights recent advances in understanding how LRR proteins mediate responses to biotic and abiotic stresses.Building upon these insights,further exploration of the roles of LRR proteins in abiotic stress resistance may aid efforts to develop rice varieties with enhanced stress and disease tolerance.

文摘River ethics,a significant advancement inspired by Chinese President XI Jinping's ecological civilization thought,embodies the philosophical essence of river governance and represents a legacy of innovation by generations of water resources professionals.Rooted in river ecology,it offers a framework for advancing modern water governance systems and capabilities.This paper examines eight dimensions of river ethics to provide actionable recommendations:enhancing knowledge systems on water,rivers,and lakes;addressing critical challenges in water governance to strengthen the foundational role of water authorities in ensuring water security,resource management,ecological sustainability and environmental protection;optimizing water project planning to mitigate ecological impacts;ensuring high standards in the lifecycle management of water projects;refining water diversion strategies for precise scheduling;utilizing ecosystem complexity for river and lake restoration;implementing tiered management of water-related disasters;and driving reforms to modernize water governance systems and mechanisms.

文摘Cardiotoxicity is a critical issue in drug development that poses serious health risks,including potentially fatal arrhythmias.The human ether-à-go-go related gene(hERG)potassium channel,as one of the primary targets of cardiotoxicity,has garnered widespread attention.Traditional cardiotoxicity testing methods are expensive and time-consuming,making computational virtual screening a suitable alternative.In this study,we employed machine learning techniques utilizing molecular fingerprints and descriptors to predict the cardiotoxicity of compounds,with the aim of improving prediction accuracy and efficiency.We used four types of molecular fingerprints and descriptors combined with machine learning and deep learning algorithms,including Gaussian naive Bayes(NB),random forest(RF),support vector machine(SVM),K-nearest neighbors(KNN),eXtreme gradient boosting(XGBoost),and Transformer models,to build predictive models.Our models demonstrated advanced predictive performance.The best machine learning model,XGBoost Morgan,achieved an accuracy(ACC)value of 0.84,and the deep learning model,Transformer_Morgan,achieved the best ACC value of 0.85,showing a high ability to distinguish between toxic and non-toxic compounds.On an external independent validation set,it achieved the best area under the curve(AUC)value of 0.93,surpassing ADMETlab3.0,Cardpred,and CardioDPi.In addition,we explored the integration of molecular descriptors and fingerprints to enhance model performance and found that ensemble methods,such as voting and stacking,provided slight improvements in model stability.Furthermore,the SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)explanations revealed the relationship between benzene rings,fluorine-containing groups,NH groups,oxygen in ether groups,and cardiotoxicity,highlighting the importance of these features.This study not only improved the predictive accuracy of cardiotoxicity models but also promoted a more reliable and scientifically interpretable method for drug safety assessment.Using computational methods,this study facilitates a more efficient drug development process,reduces costs,and improves the safety of new drug candidates,ultimately benefiting medical and public health.
文摘Purpose–This study summarizes the overall situation of the resources of the national science and technology innovation platform in the railway industry,including the distribution of platform types,supporting institutions,construction sites,professional fields,etc.,to provide a reference for the further improvement and optimization of the national science and technology innovation platform system in the railway industry.Design/methodology/approach–Through literature review,field investigation,expert consultation and other methods,this paper systematically investigates and analyzes the development status of the national science and technology innovation platform in the railway industry.Findings–Taking the national science and technology innovation platform of the railway industry as the research object,this paper investigates and analyzes the construction,development and distribution of the national science and technology innovation platform of railway industry over the years.And the National Engineering Research Center of High-speed Railway and Urban Rail Transit System Technology was taken as an example to introduce its operation effect.Originality/value–China Railway has made great development achievements,with the construction and development of national science and technology innovation platform in the railway industry.In recent years,a large number of national science and technology innovation platforms have been built in the railway industry,which play an important role in railway technological innovation,standard setting and commodification,and Railway Sciences provide strong support for railway technology development.

文摘This study proposes a framework for the concept of“new quality productive forces”in the ice and snow economy(ISE)as a strategic response to global climate change and the demands of technological and industrial transformation for high-quality development.These new quality productive forces in the ISE have developed alongside the zonal distribution of natural resources,strictly adhere to ecological principles,and integrate value transformation mechanisms specific to ice and snow resources.Their development is projected to generate multiple benefits across ecological,economic,and social dimensions.The new quality productive forces in the ISE are characterized by technology-driven resource development,synergistic integration across the entire ice and snow industry value chain,and a focus on high-quality,green growth.Grounded in geography and economics,the new quality productive forces in the ISE link scientific innovation,the reallocation of productive factors,and industrial upgrading within the context of resource constraints.Furthermore,they expand the growth potential of the ISE by fostering new production relations through digital,intelligent,and green integration,while advancing low-carbon,sustainable development under the guiding principle that“ice and snow landscapes are also mountains of gold and silver.”For China's ISE,these new quality productive forces emphasize rigorous resource protection,balanced human-environment relationships,a resilient integrated supply chain framework,and an efficient“dual circulation”economic model.Practical strategies include integrating production factors,optimizing spatial resource allocation,fostering industrial synergy,and adapting production relations,all aimed at advancing the sustainable and high-quality development of China's ISE.

文摘Investigation and analysis of the current status of farmers'livelihood capital and promptly discovering and solving problems in farmers'livelihood development are of great practical significance for optimizing farmers'livelihood strategies and enhancing farmers'livelihood sustainable development capability.Based on the framework of sustainable livelihood analysis,taking Yangshan County as an example,this paper uses field surveys,questionnaires and interviews to summarize and analyze the current status and characteristics and main problems of local farmers'livelihood capitals on the basis of the data of 628 farmer samples.It proposes countermeasures for future development of farmers'livelihoods.Implementing these strategies will be helpful for improving the livelihoods capital structure of farmers'and enhancing their sustainable development capability.

文摘The Chinese government promises to reach the carbon emission peak by 2030 and achieve the carbon neutrality by 2060.Renewable energy development is important for achieving this target.Local governments’behaviors and attitudes might be influenced by neighbors.Therefore,this study uses simultaneous autoregressive models(SAR)to examine the peer effects on renewable energy development across China’s provinces and explain the imbalanced renewable energy developments across regions in China.The results exemplified:①The peer effects exist in China and the endogenous interaction is the main cause.②The interaction between geographically adjacent provinces have greatest peer effects.③Both competition mechanism and learning mechanism induce the peer effects and the imbalanced development.This research introduces energy-related peer effects at the provincial level to reflect the preferences of governments and reveal the underlying mechanisms involved.It also provides suggestions to policy makers:①Select developed provinces as the frontrunner to promote the renewable energy development in neighboring areas.②Regional renewable energy development policies need to be considered.③Central government should consider adding“green growth indicators”into evaluation system to avoid the asymmetrical incentives policies between economic growth and environmental protection.

文摘Integrated urban-rural development is an inevitable choice for promoting Chinese modernization.High-quality integrated urban-rural development is essentially a practical response to the current multi-factor and multi-sectoral challenges in urban-rural relations,and plays an important role in implementing the new development philosophy,which promotes Chinese modernization.The theoretical logic supporting the function it plays in enabling Chinese modernization lies in the following aspects:it leverages the free flow of population and resources between urban and rural areas and thus facilitates the balanced development of China’s modernization;it advances the common prosperity of all people through its new type of urban-rural and industrial-agricultural relations;it fosters the coordinated development of the material and spiritual civilizations through the integration of urban and rural cultures;it promotes steering the modernization toward green development through the joint building and managing of the overall urban-rural ecosystem;and it drives modernization in a harmonious and stable direction through integrated urban-rural development.Currently,integrated urban-rural development still faces challenges such as restrictions on the two-way flow of factors,the low efficiency of industrial coordination and support,unequal access to public service facilities,and the insufficient use of land.Therefore,based on the strategic framework of urban-rural integrated development,it is necessary to continuously promote Chinese modernization through high-quality integrated urban-rural development from the perspectives of deepening institutional coordination,expanding the application of digital intelligence in urban and rural industries,optimizing public services,and improving land management.
