N,N-Dimethylacetamide (DMAc) is a widely used organic solvent in modern chemical industry with low to moderate hepatotoxicity to occupational health of employees. But so far, there are fewer and less conclusive data... N,N-Dimethylacetamide (DMAc) is a widely used organic solvent in modern chemical industry with low to moderate hepatotoxicity to occupational health of employees. But so far, there are fewer and less conclusive data concerning its pathogenic mechanism in detail. In current study, the toxicity of DMAc was firstly investigated on human normal hepatocytes (LO-2), using a series of molecular biology measurements to ananlyze the effect and mechanism of DMAc-induced hepatic cell injury and explore effective prophylactic measures. We found that DMAc triggered LO-2 apoptosis in a obviously dose-dependent manner, caused by increased ROS generation and activation of Bcl-2 pathway. Significantly, glutathione (GSH) rather than vitamin C (Vit C) could partially inhibit DMAc-induced apoptosis thus showing potential as a effective precaution for workers. 展开更多

Melanins are widely used in medicine, pharmacology and cosmetics. Melanins are widely used in medicine, pharmacology and cosmetics. Different technologies have been used to obtain melanin including: chemical synthesis based on oxidation of tyrosine and its derivatives; extraction from animal materials; alkaline extraction from plant material; and microbiological synthesis. A few number of works have been published that were focused on purification of water insoluble 3,4-dihy- droxy-phenylalanine-melanins (Kukulianskaia et al., 2002). The majority of synthetic and natural melanins are insoluble in wa- ter that significantly complicates preparation of pharmacolog- ical and cosmetic preparations. Obtaining of low-cost soluble biotechnological melanin can speed up application of melanin in medicine and other fields. For the first time, melanin-syn-thesizing strain with high level of pigment synthesis - Bacillus thuringiensis was obtained. The ecologically safe technology of biosynthesis, isolation and purification of the bacterial melanin has been elaborated. 展开更多

Capsule polymer flooding for enhanced oil recovery

To solve the problems of shear degradation and injection difficulties in conventional polymer flooding,the capsule polymer flooding for enhanced oil recovery(EOR)was proposed.The flow and oil displacement mechanisms of this technique were analyzed using multi-scale flow experiments and simulation technology.It is found that the capsule polymer flooding has the advantages of easy injection,shear resistance,controllable release in reservoir,and low adsorption retention,and it is highly capable of long-distance migration to enable viscosity increase in deep reservoirs.The higher degree of viscosity increase by capsule polymer,the stronger the ability to suppress viscous fingering,resulting in a more uniform polymer front and a larger swept range.The release performance of capsule polymer is mainly sensitive to temperature.Higher temperatures result in faster viscosity increase by capsule polymer solution.The salinity has little impact on the rate of viscosity increase.The capsule polymer flooding is suitable for high-water-cut reservoirs for which conventional polymer flooding techniques are less effective,offshore reservoirs by polymer flooding in largely spaced wells,and medium to low permeability reservoirs where conventional polymers cannot be injected efficiently.Capsule polymer flooding should be customized specifically,with the capsule particle size and release time to be determined depending on target reservoir conditions to achieve the best displacement effect. 展开更多

In this paper, the fixed-time event-triggered obstacle avoidance consensus control for a multi-AUV time-varying formation system in a 3D environment is presented by using an improved artificial potential field and leader-follower strategy(IAPF-LF). Firstly, the proposed fixed-time control can achieve the desired multi-AUV formation within a fixed settling time in any initial system state. Secondly, an event-triggered communication strategy is developed to govern the communication among AUVs, and the communication energy consumption can be decremented. The time-varying formation obstacle avoidance control algorithm based on IAPF-LF is designed to avoid static and dynamic obstacles, the desired formation is maintained in the presence of external disturbances, and there is no Zeno behavior under the fixed-time event-triggered consensus control strategy.The stability of the system is proved by the Lyapunov function and inequality scaling. Finally, simulation examples and water pool experiments are reported to verify the performance of the proposed theoretical algorithms. 展开更多
