The exponential growth in the scale of power systems has led to a significant increase in the complexity of dispatch problem resolution,particularly within multi-area interconnected power grids.This complexity necessi...The exponential growth in the scale of power systems has led to a significant increase in the complexity of dispatch problem resolution,particularly within multi-area interconnected power grids.This complexity necessitates the employment of distributed solution methodologies,which are not only essential but also highly desirable.In the realm of computational modelling,the multi-area economic dispatch problem(MAED)can be formulated as a linearly constrained separable convex optimization problem.The proximal point algorithm(PPA)is particularly adept at addressing such mathematical constructs effectively.This study introduces parallel(PPPA)and serial(SPPA)variants of the PPA as distributed algorithms,specifically designed for the computational modelling of the MAED.The PPA introduces a quadratic term into the objective function,which,while potentially complicating the iterative updates of the algorithm,serves to dampen oscillations near the optimal solution,thereby enhancing the convergence characteristics.Furthermore,the convergence efficiency of the PPA is significantly influenced by the parameter c.To address this parameter sensitivity,this research draws on trend theory from stock market analysis to propose trend theory-driven distributed PPPA and SPPA,thereby enhancing the robustness of the computational models.The computational models proposed in this study are anticipated to exhibit superior performance in terms of convergence behaviour,stability,and robustness with respect to parameter selection,potentially outperforming existing methods such as the alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM)and Auxiliary Problem Principle(APP)in the computational simulation of power system dispatch problems.The simulation results demonstrate that the trend theory-based PPPA,SPPA,ADMM and APP exhibit significant robustness to the initial value of parameter c,and show superior convergence characteristics compared to the residual balancing ADMM.展开更多

This simulation study assesses the performance...The Negative Binomial Multiple Change Point Algorithm is a hybrid change detection and estimation approach that works well for overdispersed and equidispersed count data. This simulation study assesses the performance of the NBMCPA under varying sample sizes and locations of true change points. Various performance metrics are calculated based on the change point estimates and used to assess how well the model correctly identifies change points. Errors in estimation of change points are obtained as absolute deviations of known change points from the change points estimated under the algorithm. Algorithm robustness is evaluated through error analysis and visualization techniques including kernel density estimation and computation of metrics such as change point location accuracy, precision, sensitivity and false positive rate. The results show that the model consistently detects change points that are present and does not erroneously detect changes where there are none. Change point location accuracy and precision of the NBMCPA increases with sample size, with best results for medium and large samples. Further model accuracy and precision are highest for changes located in the middle of the dataset compared to changes located in the periphery.展开更多

BACKGROUND Non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)poses a significant challenge in diabetes management due to its microvascular changes in the retina.Laser photocoagulation,a conventional therapy,aims to mitigate...BACKGROUND Non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)poses a significant challenge in diabetes management due to its microvascular changes in the retina.Laser photocoagulation,a conventional therapy,aims to mitigate the risk of progressing to proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).AIM To compare the efficacy and safety of multi-spot vs single-spot scanning panretinal laser photocoagulation in NPDR patients.METHODS Forty-nine NPDR patients(86 eyes)treated between September 2020 and July 2022 were included.They were randomly allocated into single-spot(n=23,40 eyes)and multi-spot(n=26,46 eyes)groups.Treatment outcomes,including bestcorrected visual acuity(BCVA),central macular thickness(CMT),and mean threshold sensitivity,were assessed at predetermined intervals over 12 months.Adverse reactions were also recorded.RESULTS Energy levels did not significantly differ between groups(P>0.05),but the multi-spot group exhibited lower energy density(P<0.05).BCVA and CMT improvements were noted in the multi-spot group at one-month posttreatment(P<0.05).Adverse reaction incidence was similar between groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION While energy intensity and safety were comparable between modalities,multi-spot scanning demonstrated lower energy density and showed superior short-term improvements in BCVA and CMT for NPDR patients,with reduced laser-induced damage.展开更多

They are both prediction- correction methods which use the same inexactness restriction; the only difference is that they use different search directions in the correction steps. This paper also chooses an optimal step size in the two versions of the APPA to improve the profit at each iteration. Analysis also shows that the two APPAs are globally convergent under appropriate assumptions, and we can expect algorithm 2 to get more progress in every iteration than algorithm 1. Thes...A space-borne synthetic aperture radar (SAR), a high frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR), and a ship automatic identification system (AIS) are the main remote sensors for vessel monitoring in a wide range. These three sensors have their own advantages and weaknesses, and they can complement each other in some situations. So it would improve the capability of vessel target detection to use multiple sensors including SAR, HFSWR, and A/S to identify non-cooperative vessel targets from the fusion results. During the fusion process of multiple sensors' detection results, point association is one of the key steps, and it can affect the accuracy of the data fusion and the efficiency of a non-cooperative target's recognition. This study investigated the point association analyses of vessel target detection under different conditions: space- borne SAR paired with AIS, as well as HFSWR, paired with AIS, and the characteristics of the SAR and the HFSWR and their capability of vessel target detection. Then a point association method of multiple sensors was proposed. Finally, the thresholds selection of key parameters in the points association (including range threshold, radial velocity threshold, and azimuth threshold) were investigated, and their influences on final association results were analyzed.展开更多

Because of its inconvenient application and toxic components (Cinnabaris andRealgar), we used transdermal enhancers to deliverAngong Niuhuang pill by modern technology, which expanded the safe dose range and clinical indications. In this study, Angong Niuhuang stickers administered at different point application doses (1.35, 2.7, and 5.4 g/kg) were administered to theDazhui (DU14), Qihai(RN6) andMingmen (DU4) of rats with chronic cerebral ischemia, for 4 weeks. The Morris water maze was used to determine the learning and memory ability of rats. Hematoxylin-eosin staining and Nissl staining were used to observe neuronal damage of the cortex and hippocampal CA1 region in rats with chronic cerebral ischemia. The middle- and high-dose point application ofAngong Niuhuangstickers attenuated neuronal damage in the cortex and hippocampal CA1 region, and improved the memory of rats with chronic cerebral ischemia with an efifcacy similar to interventions by electroacupuncture at Dazhui (DU14),Qihai (RN6) andMingmen (DU4). Our experimental ifndings indicate that point application withAngong Niuhuang stickers can improve cognitive function after chronic cerebral ischemia in rats and is neuroprotective with an equivalent efifcacy to acupuncture.展开更多

Then we applied transdermal enhancers to Angong Niuhuang stickers by modern technology. The Angong Niuhuang sticker includes extracts from curcuma, berberine hydrochloride, baicalin, geniposide, borneol, and musk. Angong Niuhuang stickers at different point application doses (1.35, 2.7, and 5.4 g/kg) were administered to Dazhui (DU14), Qihai (RN6) and Mingmen (DU4). Rats in the different dose point application and acupuncture groups were continuously administered for 7 days. Then a middle cerebral artery occlusion model was prepared for simulating human cerebral ischemia. Twelve hours later, expressions of Bcl-2, Bax and p53 protein in hippocampal CA1 were detected with immunohistochemistry. The expression level of Bcl-2, an anti-apoptotic protein, significantly increased in the high-, medium- and low-dose point application groups and the acupuncture group, while the expression of the pro-apoptotic proteins, Bax and p53, significantly decreased compared with the middle cerebral artery occlusion rats; and the Bcl-2/Bax ratio was significantly increased. The difference was noticeable for the high-dose point application group, which showed statistical difference compared with the low-dose point application group and the acupuncture group. Our experimental findings indicate that point application with Angong Niuhuang stickers promotes the expression of Bcl-2, and inhibits the expressions of Bax and p53 in the hippocampal CA1 area of rats after focal cerebral ischemia. Thus, point application of Angong Niuhang stickers protects brain tissues from cerebral ischemia.展开更多

The relationships among the impact angle, the tip angle of pick and the kinematics parameters of the pick were built, too. Moreover, the mechanic models of the maximum clearance angle and the wearing angle of the pick were set up. To research the relationships of the installing angles and the change law of the wearing angle along with the kinematics parameters, the simulation was done. In order to verify the correctness of the models, the cutting experiments were done by employing two picks with different pick tip angles. The results indicate that, the cutting force is the smallest when the direction of the resultant force of pick follows its axis, and the relationship derived among the installing angles should be satisfied. In addition, to decrease the cutting force and the wearing of the pick, the tip angle of pick should not be larger than the half of the difference between the minimum wearing angle and the impact angle of the pick, and the clearance angle must not be less than zero.展开更多
OBJECTIVE:To optimise point application therapy for the treatment of asthma.METHODS:A total of 456 patients with asthma were randomly divided into treatment groups 1,2,and 3,with 152 patients each.The Dazhui(GV14),Fei...OBJECTIVE:To optimise point application therapy for the treatment of asthma.METHODS:A total of 456 patients with asthma were randomly divided into treatment groups 1,2,and 3,with 152 patients each.The Dazhui(GV14),Feishu(BL13),Xinshu(BL15),Geshu(BL17),Pishu(BL20),Shenshu(BL23),and Guanyuan(CV4)acupoints were selected for treatment groups 1 and 2,with 2 and 4 h of application,respectively.The Feishu(BL13),Xinshu(BL15),and Geshu(BL17)acupoints were selected in group 3,with 2 h of application.All patients underwent application of the“prevention of disease”plaster during the dog days of summer(approximately July and August each year)between 2015 and 2019.RESULTS:The analysis showed that the numbers of asthma attacks and total serum immunoglobulin E(IgE)levels of the three groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment.In addition,the reductions in treatment groups 1 and 2 were more significant than those in group 3.The total treatment efficacy rates and post-treatment quality of life scores of the patients in treatment groups 1 and 2 were significantly higher than those in group 3.CONCLUSIONS:Point application therapy can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with asthma,reduce the number of attacks,improve the quality of life,and decrease the total serum IgE level.The choice of acupuncture points,but not the length of the application time,influenced the therapeutic effect of point application therapy in asthma.展开更多

Owing to the great influence of controller parameters upon the absorbed power, the optimization of these parameters is carried out for the first time by a firefly algorithm(FA). Error, the difference between output velocity of buoy and input wave speed which leads to power maximization in the optimized MPC is compared with the classical MPC. Simulation results indicate that given the high accuracy and acceptable speed of the algorithm, it can adjust the parameters of the controller to the point where system error decreased effectively and the absorbed energy increased about 4 MW.展开更多

Since solving the sub-problem exactly in each iteration is costly or sometimes impossible, various approx...Proximal point algorithms (PPA) are attractive methods for solving monotone variational inequalities (MVI). Since solving the sub-problem exactly in each iteration is costly or sometimes impossible, various approximate versions ofPPA (APPA) are developed for practical applications. In this paper, we compare two APPA methods, both of which can be viewed as prediction-correction methods. The only difference is that they use different search directions in the correction-step. By extending the general forward-backward splitting methods, we obtain Algorithm Ⅰ; in the same way, Algorithm Ⅱ is proposed by spreading the general extra-gradient methods. Our analysis explains theoretically why Algorithm Ⅱ usually outperforms Algorithm Ⅰ. For computation practice, we consider a class of MVI with a special structure, and choose the extending Algorithm Ⅱ to implement, which is inspired by the idea of Gauss-Seidel iteration method making full use of information about the latest iteration. And in particular, self-adaptive techniques are adopted to adjust relevant parameters for faster convergence. Finally, some numerical experiments are reported on the separated MVI. Numerical results showed that the extending Algorithm II is feasible and easy to implement with relatively low computation load.展开更多

文摘The inhomogeneous sound speed in seawater causes refraction of sound waves,and the elimination of the refraction effect is essential to the accuracy of underwater acoustic positioning.The raytracing method is an indispensable tool for effectively handling problems.However,this method has a conflict between localization accuracy and computational quantity.The equivalent sound speed profile(ESSP)method uses a simple sound speed profile(SSP)instead of the actual complex SSP,which can improve positioning precision but with residual error.The residual error is especially non-negligible in deep water and at large beam incidence angles.By analyzing the residual error of the ESSP method through a simulation,an empirical formula of error is presented.The data collected in the sailing circle mode(large incidence angle)of the South China Sea are used for verification.The experiments show that compared to the ESSP method,the improved algorithm has higher positioning precision and is more efficient than the ray-tracing method.
文摘BACKGROUND Non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)poses a significant challenge in diabetes management due to its microvascular changes in the retina.Laser photocoagulation,a conventional therapy,aims to mitigate the risk of progressing to proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).AIM To compare the efficacy and safety of multi-spot vs single-spot scanning panretinal laser photocoagulation in NPDR patients.METHODS Forty-nine NPDR patients(86 eyes)treated between September 2020 and July 2022 were included.They were randomly allocated into single-spot(n=23,40 eyes)and multi-spot(n=26,46 eyes)groups.Treatment outcomes,including bestcorrected visual acuity(BCVA),central macular thickness(CMT),and mean threshold sensitivity,were assessed at predetermined intervals over 12 months.Adverse reactions were also recorded.RESULTS Energy levels did not significantly differ between groups(P>0.05),but the multi-spot group exhibited lower energy density(P<0.05).BCVA and CMT improvements were noted in the multi-spot group at one-month posttreatment(P<0.05).Adverse reaction incidence was similar between groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION While energy intensity and safety were comparable between modalities,multi-spot scanning demonstrated lower energy density and showed superior short-term improvements in BCVA and CMT for NPDR patients,with reduced laser-induced damage.
文摘Trigger point(TrP) acupuncture(dry needling),the use of solid filiform needles at TrPs,has been developed from a comprehensive integration and adaptation of traditional acupuncture using current understandings of TrPs.During the past twenty years,the concept and technique continues to evolve,with a potential to expand to other conditions beyond myofascial pain syndromes that can be managed via stimulating TrPs.In this article,we compared TrP acupuncture and traditional acupuncture from the following aspects:points of needle insertion,needles and needling techniques,and therapeutic indications.Traditional acupuncture encompasses an abundance of methods and techniques in acupuncture practices and has been widely used and studied for a variety of disorders.With unique specific characteristics,TrP acupuncture further develops traditional acupuncture theories,especially the concepts of Ashi point.The location of TrPs,their distribution pattern and pain indication are similar to those of traditional acupoints;the selection of needles,depth of needle insertion,and manipulation techniques are part of traditional acupuncture.TrP acupuncture is thus an integral part of traditional acupuncture.
文摘A cross point assignment algorithm is proposed under consideration of very long nets (LCPA).It is to consider not only the cost of connection between cross points and pins and the exclusive cost among cross points on the boundary of a global routing cell,but also the cost of displacement among cross points of the same net.The experiment results show that the quality and speed in the following detailed routing are improved obviously,especially for very long nets.
文摘This paper proposes two kinds of approximate proximal point algorithms (APPA) for monotone variational inequalities, both of which can be viewed as two extended versions of Solodov and Svaiter's APPA in the paper "Error bounds for proximal point subproblems and associated inexact proximal point algorithms" published in 2000. They are both prediction- correction methods which use the same inexactness restriction; the only difference is that they use different search directions in the correction steps. This paper also chooses an optimal step size in the two versions of the APPA to improve the profit at each iteration. Analysis also shows that the two APPAs are globally convergent under appropriate assumptions, and we can expect algorithm 2 to get more progress in every iteration than algorithm 1. Numerical experiments indicate that algorithm 2 is more efficient than algorithm 1 with the same correction step size,
文摘An algorithm to resolve the coupling effect problem is proposed during the cross point assignment (CPA) stage.In the algorithm,the priority queue concept and the rip-up and reroute strategy are combined to control crosstalk noise caused by interconnect coupling capacitance.First,the nets are arranged into different priority queues according to their weighted sum of their length and criticality.Then,the CPA problem for one queue of nets is translated into a linear assignment problem.After the assignment of one queue of nets,a post-CPA checking routine is performed to check and rip up the net pairs which violate the crosstalk noise constraint and then push them into the next queue to be reassigned.The algorithm is tested by a set of bench mark examples,and the experimental results are promising...

文摘A space-borne synthetic aperture radar (SAR), a high frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR), and a ship automatic identification system (AIS) are the main remote sensors for vessel monitoring in a wide range. These three sensors have their own advantages and weaknesses, and they can complement each other in some situations. So it would improve the capability of vessel target detection to use multiple sensors including SAR, HFSWR, and A/S to identify non-cooperative vessel targets from the fusion results. During the fusion process of multiple sensors' detection results, point association is one of the key steps, and it can affect the accuracy of the data fusion and the efficiency of a non-cooperative target's recognition. This study investigated the point association analyses of vessel target detection under different conditions: space- borne SAR paired with AIS, as well as HFSWR, paired with AIS, and the characteristics of the SAR and the HFSWR and their capability of vessel target detection. Then a point association method of multiple sensors was proposed. Finally, the thresholds selection of key parameters in the points association (including range threshold, radial velocity threshold, and azimuth threshold) were investigated, and their influences on final association results were analyzed.

文摘Angong Niuhuang pill, a Chinese materia medica preparation, can improve neurological func-tions after acute ischemic stroke. Because of its inconvenient application and toxic components (Cinnabaris andRealgar), we used transdermal enhancers to deliverAngong Niuhuang pill by modern technology, which expanded the safe dose range and clinical indications. In this study, Angong Niuhuang stickers administered at different point application doses (1.35, 2.7, and 5.4 g/kg) were administered to theDazhui (DU14), Qihai(RN6) andMingmen (DU4) of rats with chronic cerebral ischemia, for 4 weeks. The Morris water maze was used to determine the learning and memory ability of rats. Hematoxylin-eosin staining and Nissl staining were used to observe neuronal damage of the cortex and hippocampal CA1 region in rats with chronic cerebral ischemia. The middle- and high-dose point application ofAngong Niuhuangstickers attenuated neuronal damage in the cortex and hippocampal CA1 region, and improved the memory of rats with chronic cerebral ischemia with an efifcacy similar to interventions by electroacupuncture at Dazhui (DU14),Qihai (RN6) andMingmen (DU4). Our experimental ifndings indicate that point application withAngong Niuhuang stickers can improve cognitive function after chronic cerebral ischemia in rats and is neuroprotective with an equivalent efifcacy to acupuncture.

文摘In this study, we extracted and purified components in the Angong Niuhuang pill. Then we applied transdermal enhancers to Angong Niuhuang stickers by modern technology. The Angong Niuhuang sticker includes extracts from curcuma, berberine hydrochloride, baicalin, geniposide, borneol, and musk. Angong Niuhuang stickers at different point application doses (1.35, 2.7, and 5.4 g/kg) were administered to Dazhui (DU14), Qihai (RN6) and Mingmen (DU4). Rats in the different dose point application and acupuncture groups were continuously administered for 7 days. Then a middle cerebral artery occlusion model was prepared for simulating human cerebral ischemia. Twelve hours later, expressions of Bcl-2, Bax and p53 protein in hippocampal CA1 were detected with immunohistochemistry. The expression level of Bcl-2, an anti-apoptotic protein, significantly increased in the high-, medium- and low-dose point application groups and the acupuncture group, while the expression of the pro-apoptotic proteins, Bax and p53, significantly decreased compared with the middle cerebral artery occlusion rats; and the Bcl-2/Bax ratio was significantly increased. The difference was noticeable for the high-dose point application group, which showed statistical difference compared with the low-dose point application group and the acupuncture group. Our experimental findings indicate that point application with Angong Niuhuang stickers promotes the expression of Bcl-2, and inhibits the expressions of Bax and p53 in the hippocampal CA1 area of rats after focal cerebral ischemia. Thus, point application of Angong Niuhang stickers protects brain tissues from cerebral ischemia.

文摘In order to obtain the determining method of the installing angle and decrease the performance indices (cutting force and wearing rate) of the pick, the relationships among the installing angles (impact angle, inclination angle and the skew angle) were studied, and the static model of installing angles of the pick was built. The relationships among the impact angle, the tip angle of pick and the kinematics parameters of the pick were built, too. Moreover, the mechanic models of the maximum clearance angle and the wearing angle of the pick were set up. To research the relationships of the installing angles and the change law of the wearing angle along with the kinematics parameters, the simulation was done. In order to verify the correctness of the models, the cutting experiments were done by employing two picks with different pick tip angles. The results indicate that, the cutting force is the smallest when the direction of the resultant force of pick follows its axis, and the relationship derived among the installing angles should be satisfied. In addition, to decrease the cutting force and the wearing of the pick, the tip angle of pick should not be larger than the half of the difference between the minimum wearing angle and the impact angle of the pick, and the clearance angle must not be less than zero.

文摘OBJECTIVE:To optimise point application therapy for the treatment of asthma.METHODS:A total of 456 patients with asthma were randomly divided into treatment groups 1,2,and 3,with 152 patients each.The Dazhui(GV14),Feishu(BL13),Xinshu(BL15),Geshu(BL17),Pishu(BL20),Shenshu(BL23),and Guanyuan(CV4)acupoints were selected for treatment groups 1 and 2,with 2 and 4 h of application,respectively.The Feishu(BL13),Xinshu(BL15),and Geshu(BL17)acupoints were selected in group 3,with 2 h of application.All patients underwent application of the“prevention of disease”plaster during the dog days of summer(approximately July and August each year)between 2015 and 2019.RESULTS:The analysis showed that the numbers of asthma attacks and total serum immunoglobulin E(IgE)levels of the three groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment.In addition,the reductions in treatment groups 1 and 2 were more significant than those in group 3.The total treatment efficacy rates and post-treatment quality of life scores of the patients in treatment groups 1 and 2 were significantly higher than those in group 3.CONCLUSIONS:Point application therapy can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with asthma,reduce the number of attacks,improve the quality of life,and decrease the total serum IgE level.The choice of acupuncture points,but not the length of the application time,influenced the therapeutic effect of point application therapy in asthma.
文摘Mehrotra's recent suggestion of a predictor corrector variant of primal dual interior point method for linear programming is currently the interior point method of choice for linear programming. In this work the authors give a predictor corrector interior point algorithm for monotone variational inequality problems. The algorithm was proved to be equivalent to a level 1 perturbed composite Newton method. Computations in the algorithm do not require the initial iteration to be feasible. Numerical results of experiments are presented.
文摘This paper presents an extended model predictive controller for maximizing the absorbed power of a point absorber wave energy converter. Owing to the great influence of controller parameters upon the absorbed power, the optimization of these parameters is carried out for the first time by a firefly algorithm(FA). Error, the difference between output velocity of buoy and input wave speed which leads to power maximization in the optimized MPC is compared with the classical MPC. Simulation results indicate that given the high accuracy and acceptable speed of the algorithm, it can adjust the parameters of the controller to the point where system error decreased effectively and the absorbed energy increased about 4 MW.

文摘Proximal point algorithms (PPA) are attractive methods for solving monotone variational inequalities (MVI). Since solving the sub-problem exactly in each iteration is costly or sometimes impossible, various approximate versions ofPPA (APPA) are developed for practical applications. In this paper, we compare two APPA methods, both of which can be viewed as prediction-correction methods. The only difference is that they use different search directions in the correction-step. By extending the general forward-backward splitting methods, we obtain Algorithm Ⅰ; in the same way, Algorithm Ⅱ is proposed by spreading the general extra-gradient methods. Our analysis explains theoretically why Algorithm Ⅱ usually outperforms Algorithm Ⅰ. For computation practice, we consider a class of MVI with a special structure, and choose the extending Algorithm Ⅱ to implement, which is inspired by the idea of Gauss-Seidel iteration method making full use of information about the latest iteration. And in particular, self-adaptive techniques are adopted to adjust relevant parameters for faster convergence. Finally, some numerical experiments are reported on the separated MVI. Numerical results showed that the extending Algorithm II is feasible and easy to implement with relatively low computation load.
文摘In this paper, a class of generalized strongly nonlinear quasivariational inclusions are studied. By using the properties of the resolvent operator associated with a maximal monotone; mapping in Hilbert space, an existence theorem of solutions for generalized strongly nonlinear quasivariational inclusion is established and a new proximal point algorithm with errors is suggested for finding approximate solutions which strongly converge to the exact solution of the generalized strongly, nonlinear quasivariational inclusion. As special cases, some known results in this field are also discussed.
