A Novel Design of a Pre-separation Panel Structure to Protect Against the Impact of an Explosion in an Aircraft Plenum Chamber

To reduce the damage of the pressurizing panel structure of a fuselage caused by an explosion at the“least risk bomb location”in an aircraft structure,a new pre-separation panel structure was designed to resist blast loading.First,the dynamic strain response and morphology of impact damage of the new pre-separation panel were measured in an impact damage test.Second,the commercial software LS-DYNA was used to calculate the propagation of the blast shock wave,and the results were compared with empirical equations to verify the rationality of the numerical calculation method.Finally,the fluid–structure coupling method was used to calculate the damage process of the pre-separation panel structure under the impact of an explosion wave and an impact block.The calculated results were in good agreement with the test results,which showed the rationality of the calculation method and the model.The residual strength of the damaged pre-separation panel was significantly higher than that of the original damaged panel.The results show that the new pre-separation panel structure is reasonable and has certain significance for guiding the design of plenum chambers with strong resistance to implosion for aircraft fuselages. 展开更多

The plenum chamber of a heat setting machine is a key structure for distributing hot air to different air channels.Its outlet velocity uniformity directly determines the heating uniformity of textiles,significantly affecting the heat setting performance.In a traditional heat setting machine,the outlet airflow maldistribution of the plenum chamber still exists.In this study,a novel plenum chamber with an airfoil baffle was established to improve the uniformity of the velocity distribution at the outlet in a heat setting machine.The structural influence of the plenum chamber on the velocity distribution was investigated using a computational fluid dynamics program.It was found that a chamber with a smaller outlet partition thickness had a better outlet velocity uniformity.The structural optimization of the plenum chamber was conducted using the particle swarm optimization algorithm.The outlet partition thickness,the transverse distance and the longitudinal distance of the optimized plenum chamber were 20,686.2 and 274.6 mm,respectively.Experiments were carried out.The experimental and simulated results showed that the optimized plenum chamber with an airfoil baffle could improve the outlet velocity uniformity.The air outlet velocity uniformity index of the optimized plenum chamber with an airfoil baffle was 4.75%higher than that of the plenum chamber without an airfoil baffle and 5.98%higher than that of the conventional chamber with a square baffle in a commercial heat setting machine. 展开更多

Using this model, it was mainly clear that in the 40% rated operational conditions, the shape of the FHs on the inner barrel did not change largely to the upper plenum thermal-hydraulics. The effect of the FHs on the honeycomb structure in the upper structure was also investigated in these calculations. 计算流体力学(CFD)程序基于三维Navier-Stokes(N-S)方程组,可实现三维尺度的模拟。但CFD模拟通常需要较长的计算时间,难以实现快速计算,限制了其应用场景。本文采用本征正交分解(POD)方法和稀疏网格理论,构建了二维压力容器下腔室稳态... 计算流体力学(CFD)程序基于三维Navier-Stokes(N-S)方程组,可实现三维尺度的模拟。但CFD模拟通常需要较长的计算时间,难以实现快速计算,限制了其应用场景。本文采用本征正交分解(POD)方法和稀疏网格理论,构建了二维压力容器下腔室稳态流场的非侵入式降阶模型。降阶模型的输入为下腔室两个入口的冷却剂质量流量,输出为下腔室速度场分布。基于稀疏网格理论,通过运行全阶CFD下腔室模型生成快照矩阵,并拟合POD系数与降阶模型输入参数之间的映射关系。在测试集上对构建的降阶模型进行测试,结果表明:所构建的降阶模型可以快速得到不同入口流量下的流场分布数据,且精度满足仿真要求。由于降阶模型仅涉及矩阵代数运算,其计算速度远高于全阶CFD模型,拓宽了CFD的应用范围,有望应用于多尺度耦合、数字孪生等对计算速度要求较高的场景。 展开更多

The numerical model of the inlet plenum was constructed through grid dependency test, calculation domain tests, and turbulence model and numerical scheme selections. Shear stress transport turbulence model was used for analysis of turbulence. Non-uniformity of the flow in zigzag flow channels was evaluated for the reference case. Parametric studies have been performed with the angle of the inlet plenum wall, radius of curvature of the inlet plenum wall, and width of the inlet pipes. The effects of these parameters on the flow uniformity and friction performance were evaluated. 展开更多

为实现压水堆上腔室与热段温度分布的在线监测,提出了一种结合计算流体动力学(CFD)与非侵入式降阶方法的数字孪生模型。该方法以CFD数值解为样本,通过傅里叶变换提取全空间温度场的均值、振幅及重心频率3种瞬态特征,利用本征正交分解提... 为实现压水堆上腔室与热段温度分布的在线监测,提出了一种结合计算流体动力学(CFD)与非侵入式降阶方法的数字孪生模型。该方法以CFD数值解为样本,通过傅里叶变换提取全空间温度场的均值、振幅及重心频率3种瞬态特征,利用本征正交分解提取降阶基底,并采用高斯过程回归响应降阶系数,搭建非侵入式降阶模型。结果表明,与全阶模型相比,降阶模型计算速度提升超过4个数量级,最大相对误差不超过22.05%。反演得到的热段截面冷却剂平均温度与CFD计算结果偏差小于0.05 K,显著优于基于测点平均的误差水平。该模型在保证计算精度的同时,有效满足了数字孪生对实时计算的需求,为反应堆的安全运行监测提供了有力支持。 展开更多

A comparative computational fluid dynamics(CFD)study was conducted on the three different types of pressurized water reactor(PWR)upper plenum,named TYPE 1(support columns(SCs)and control rod guide tubes(CRGTs)with two large windows),TYPE 2(SCs and CRGTs without windows),and TYPE 3(two parallel perforated barrel shells and CRGTs).First,three types of upper plenum geometry information were collected,simplified,and adopted into the BORA facility,which is a 1/5 scale system of the four-loop PWR reactor.Then,the geometry,including the upper half core,upper plenum region,and hot legs,was built using the Salome platform.After that,an unsteady calculation to simulate the reactor balance operation at hot full power scenario was performed.Finally,the differences of flowrate distribution at the core outlet and temperature distribution and transverse velocity inside the hot legs with different upper plenum internals were compared.The results suggest that TYPE 1 upper plenum internals cause the largest flowrate difference at the core outlet while TYPE 3 leads to the most even distributed flowrate.The distribution and evolution pattern of the tangential velocity inside hot legs is highly dependent on the upper plenum internals.Two counter-rotating swirls exist inside the TYPE 1 hot leg and only one swirl revolving around the hog leg axis exist inside the TYPE 2 hot leg.For TYPE 3,two swirls like that of TYPE 1 rotating around the hot leg axis significantly increase the temperature homogenization speed.This research provides meaningful guidelines for the future optimization and design of advanced PWR upper plenum internal structures. 展开更多

Most hydrodynamic fluidized bed models, including CFD codes, neglect any effects of the plenum chamber volume. Experiments were performed in a 0.13 m ID fluidization column to determine plenum chamber volume effects on fluidized bed hydrodynamics for FCC and glass particles. Two low-pressure-drop distributors were used, one with a single orifice, and the other with 33 orifices and the same total open area as the single orifice. The results show two peaks in the frequency spectra for the single-orifice distributor, one representing bubble eruption at the bed surface and the other of higher frequency corresponding to the bubbling frequency at the distributor. The latter decreased slightly with increasing plenum volume and with increasing bed depth. For the multi-orifice distributor, broad frequency spectra from pressure measurements became narrower and moved towards higher frequency with decreasing plenum volume. 展开更多

在数据中心能耗挑战日益严峻的背景下,优化空调系统对降本增效与实现“双碳”目标至关重要。本文以某通信枢纽楼数据中心为例,针对其原有空调系统存在的局部热点突出、冷热气流混合严重等问题,提出了针对静压箱上送风的气流组织优化方... 在数据中心能耗挑战日益严峻的背景下,优化空调系统对降本增效与实现“双碳”目标至关重要。本文以某通信枢纽楼数据中心为例,针对其原有空调系统存在的局部热点突出、冷热气流混合严重等问题,提出了针对静压箱上送风的气流组织优化方案。通过Airpak软件建立三维计算流体动力学(CFD)模型,对比分析了改造前后的温度场、速度场及机柜冷却效果。模拟结果表明,改造后机房温度均匀性显著改善,机柜表面平均温度由31.5℃降至25.4℃,高温区域面积减少82%,冷量利用率提升35%。研究揭示了静压箱送风模式有效抑制了冷热气流掺混、优化了回风路径,验证了该方案在无架空地板结构机房中的工程可行性,为同类数据中心节能改造提供了有效的理论与实践参考。 展开更多

为探究华龙一号反应堆压力容器(RPV)顶盖腔室区域的流动特征,为在役CPR1000压水堆核电厂的热套管磨损问题和华龙一号顶盖腔室结构的优化改进提供支撑。本文采用计算流体动力学(CFD)方法对顶盖腔室区域进行数值模拟,同时开展顶盖腔室模... 为探究华龙一号反应堆压力容器(RPV)顶盖腔室区域的流动特征,为在役CPR1000压水堆核电厂的热套管磨损问题和华龙一号顶盖腔室结构的优化改进提供支撑。本文采用计算流体动力学(CFD)方法对顶盖腔室区域进行数值模拟,同时开展顶盖腔室模型水力模拟试验,获得顶盖腔室内流场分布及关键区域的水力特性参数。理论分析及试验结果表明:顶盖腔室关键区域的CFD结果和试验测得的横向流速偏差值在10%以内;正常工况下,顶盖腔室内整体流速较低,在顶盖喷嘴与内壁面附近流速较高;顶盖腔室内流体全部通过控制棒导向筒(CRGT)顶部流水孔进入上腔室,上腔室流体不会反向流入顶盖腔室,验证了华龙一号“冷顶盖”设计的有效性;顶盖腔室中心区域的热套管喇叭口附近存在漩涡且流速较外围区域更高,导致热套管承受的流体冲击更剧烈、磨损更严重。 展开更多
