In this review, we sum- marize the major statistical results that have been revealed mainly by radial velocity and transiting observations, and try to interpret them within the scope of the classical core-accretion scenario of planet formation, especially in the formation of different orbital architectures for planetary systems around main sequence stars. Based on the different possible formation routes for different planet systems, we tentatively classify them into three major catalogs: hot Jupiter systems, standard systems and distant giant planet systems. The standard systems can be further categorized into three sub-types under different circumstances: solar-like systems, hot Super-Earth systems, and sub- giant planet systems. We also review the theory of planet detection and formation in binary systems as well as planets in star clusters.展开更多

In this system, all semimajor axes are less than 0.7 au. The modeling of planetary motion is performed using the averaged semi-analytical motion theory of the second order in planetary masses, which the authors construct. Unknown and known with errors orbital elements vary in allowable limits to obtain a set of initial conditions. Each of these initial conditions is applied for the modeling of planetary motion. The assumption about the stability of observed planetary systems allows to eliminate the initial conditions leading to excessive growth of the orbital eccentricities and inclinations and to identify those under which these orbital elements conserve moderate values over the whole modeling interval. Thus, it becomes possible to limit the range of possible values of unknown orbital elements and determine their most probable values in terms of stability.展开更多

Specifically, for the simplified case of constant stratospheric N^(2), the refractive index square of planetary waves has a theoretical tendency to increase first and then decrease with an increased N^(2), whereas the group velocity weakens. Mechanistically, this behavior can be understood as an intensified suppression of vertical isentropic surface displacement caused by meridional heat transport of planetary waves under strong N^(2) conditions. Observational analysis corroborates this finding, demonstrating a reduction in the vertical-propagation velocity of waves with increased N^(2). A linear, quasi- geostrophic, mid-latitude beta-plane model with a constant background westerly wind and a prescribed N^(2) applicable to the stratosphere is used to obtain analytic solutions. In this model, the planetary waves are initiated by steady energy influx from the lower boundary. The analysis indicates that under strong N^(2) conditions, the amplitude of planetary waves can be sufficiently increased by the effective energy convergence due to the slowing vertical energy transfer, resulting in a streamfunction response in this model that contains more energy. For N^(2) with a quasi-linear vertical variation, the results bear a resemblance to the constant case, except that the wave amplitude and oscillating frequency show some vertical variations.展开更多

The results of orbital evolution show that tidal decay and circularization may play a significant role in shaping their final orbits, which is related to the initial orbital data in the simulations. For GJ 1214 system, different cases of initial eccentricity are also considered as only an upper limit of its eccentricity (0.27) is shown, and the outcome suggests a possible maximum initial eccentricity (0.4) in the adopted dynamical model. Moreover, additional runs with alternative values of dissipation factor Q'I are carried out to explore tidal evolution for GJ 1214b, and these results further indicate that the real Q'1 of GJ 1214b may be much larger than its typical value, which may reasonably suggest that GJ 1214b bears a present-day larger eccentricity, undergoing tidal circularization at a slow rate. For the CoRoT-7 system, tidal forces make two planets migrating towards their host star as well as producing tidal circularization, and in this process tidal effects and mutual gravitational interactions are coupled with each other. Various scenarios of the initial eccentricity of the outer planet have also been done to investigate final planetary configuration. Tidal decay arising from stellar tides may still work for each system as the eccentricity decreases to zero, and this is in association with the remaining lifetime of each planet used to predict its future.展开更多

文摘The planetary theory in the Great Expansion System(Dayan li大衍历,727 CE)is investigated, with a detailed example of Mars.In ancient Chinese astrology, the position of one planet and the relative positions of different planets had important astrological significance. Thus, planetary theory is an important part of Chinese mathematical astronomy. The Great Expansion System, which was compiled by Yixing一行of the Tang唐dynasty(618–907 CE),provided many innovations in planetary theory.Based on the extant Treatises on Mathematical Harmonics and Astronomy(Lüli zhi律历志)in Chinese official histories, the Great Expansion System was the first Chinese astronomical system to include tables of the planetary equation of center and procedures for correcting the influence of the planetary equation of center on the position of a planet. It was also the first Chinese system to design a table of the planetary phases of motion for calculating the mean position of a planet, which was the basis for calculating the true position of the planet. In addition,Yixing proposed the concept of the precession of planetary perihelion and gave the values of the precession of planetary perihelion for the first time in ancient China. The innovations of the Great Expansion System regarding planetary theory established its important position in the history of Chinese astronomical systems.Mars is taken as a case study to investigate the planetary theory in the Great Expansion System, including the astronomical constants related to Mars, two important astronomical tables, namely the table of the equation of center and the table of the phase motion of Mars in one synodic period, and the procedures for calculating the position of Mars on any given day using the planetary and solar equations of center. Two questions are addressed.First, how did Yixing correct the influence of the equation of center of Mars on the time of mean conjunction and the mean position of Mars?Second, how did Yixing calculate the true position of Mars on any given day?The original text of the Great Expansion System is analyzed to show how Yixing developed the planetary theory in the Sui and early Tang periods and constructed a complete method for predicting the true positions of planets using the planetary and solar equations of center.

文摘We perform numerical simulations to investigate tidal evolution of two single-planet systems, that is, WASP-50 and GJ 1214 and a two-planet system CoRoT-7. Tidal decay arising from stellar tides may still work for each system as the eccentricity decreases to zero, and this is in association with the remaining lifetime of each planet used to predict its future.

文摘Planet pin position errors significantly affect the mechanical behavior of planetary transmissions at both the power-sharing level and the gear tooth meshing level, and its tolerance properties are one of the key design elements that determine the fatigue reliability of large aviation planetary systems. The dangerous stress response of planetary systems with error excitation is analyzed according to the hybrid finite element method, and the weakening mechanism of large-size carrier flexibility to this error excitation is also analyzed. In the simulation and analysis process, the Monte Carlo method was combined to take into account the randomness of planet pin position errors and the coupling mechanism among the error individuals, which provides effective load input information for the fatigue reliability evaluation model of planetary systems. In addition,a simulation test of gear teeth bending fatigue intensity was conducted using a power flow enclosed gear rotational tester, providing the corresponding intensity input information for the reliability model. Finally, under the framework of stress-intensity interference theory, the computational logic of total formula is extended to establish a fatigue reliability evaluation model of planetary systems that can simultaneously consider the failure correlation and load bearing time-sequence properties of potential failure units, and the mathematical mapping of planet pin positional tolerance to planetary systems fatigue reliability was developed based on this model.Accordingly, the upper limit of planet pin positional tolerance zone can be determined at the early design stage according to the specific reliability index requirements, thus maximizing the balance between reliability and economy.

文摘Nonlinear dynamic analysis was performed on a planetary gear transmission system with meshing beyond the pitch point. The parameters of the planetary gear system were optimized, and a two-dimensional nonlinear dynamic model was established using the lumped-mass method.Time-varying meshing stiffness was calculated by the energy method. The model consumes the backlash, bearing clearance,time-varying meshing stiffness,time-varying bearing stiffness, and time-varying friction coefficient. The time-varying bearing stiffness was calculated according to the Hertz contact theory. The load distribution among the gears was computed, and the time-varying friction coefficient was calculated according to elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL)theory. The dynamical equations were solved via numerical integration. The global bifurcation characteristics caused by the input speed, backlash, bearing clearance, and damping were analyzed. The system was in a chaotic state at natural frequencies or frequency multiplication. The system transitioned from a single-period state to a chaotic state with the increase of the backlash. The bearing clearance of the sun gear had little influence on the bifurcation characteristics. The amplitude was restrained in the chaotic state as the damping ratio increased.

文摘Considering the effect of planet's number on the dynamic characteristics of the planetary gear system, a translationtorsion lumped-parameter model of 2K-H spur planetary gear system was established. Through the analysis of numerical solution, the results show that 1) When the planet's number is more than 3, the order of the natural frequency will become the same; 2) When the planet's number increases, the natural frequencies of planet mode remain invariant, but when it comes to rotational mode and translational mode, the higher order natural frequencies increase and the lower order natural frequencies decrease; 3) The planet's number has a great impact on the higher order natural frequencies and a little impact on the lower order natural frequencies; and 4) To avoid the resonance, we can appropriately increase or decrease the number of the planet.

文摘Few studies were focused on the load-sharing characteristics of double-row planetary gear(DRPG)systems with bearings.Meanwhile, the supported bearing has an important influence on the transmission characteristics of the entire system. To overcome this problem,a multi-body dynamic(MBD)model of the DRPG system fully considering the influences of bearing parameters is established.Dynamic loads among contacting gear pairs have been obtained to calculate the load-sharing coefficient(LSC)of the system. The LSC of each gear tooth pair has been compared to study the effect of the supported bearing clearance on the load-sharing characteristics. These methods are based on Hertz contact theory. The liner stiffness and damping are used in the model. The results show that the supported bearing clearance has a greatly effect on the LSC of the DRPG system.Choosing appropriate clearance parameters of supported bearing can help suppress the uneven load distribution of the DRPG system. The results can provide some guidance to find new method to study the LSC and increase the service life of planetary gear systems.
