Plane wave shot migration is another method to perform exact wave equation prestack imaging with high computational efficiency and without the migration aperture problem. Moreover, wavefield energy can be compensated at the target zone by controlled illumination. In this paper, plane wave shot PSDM was implemented by the control of the plane down-going wavefield and selection of number and range of the raypaths in order to optimize the imaging effect. In addition, controlled illumination techniques are applied to enhance the imaging precision of interesting areas at different depths. Numerical calculation indicates that plane wave shot imaging is a rapid and efficient method with less computational cost and easy parallel computation compared to the single-square-root operator imaging for common shot gathers and double- square-root operator imaging for common midpoint gathers.展开更多

In this method, a low impedance medium is introduced to replace the free stress boundary, which largely reduces the computational complexity. First, the layered half-space is discretized on the basis of the propagation characteristic of elastic wave according to the Snell law. Then, the finite element method with lumped mass and the central difference method are incorporated to establish 2D wave motion equations, which can be transformed into 1D equations by discretization principle and explicit finite element method. By solving the 1D equations, the displacements of nodes in any vertical line can be obtained, and the wave motions in layered half-space are finally determined based on the characteristic of traveling wave. Both the theoretical analysis and the numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method has high accuracy and good stability.展开更多

The scattering problem can be decomposed into two problems: one is the reflection and refraction problem of general SH plane waves at perfect interface (with no crack); another is the scattering problem due to the existence of crack. For the first problem, the viscoelastic wave equation, displacement and stress continuity conditions across the interface are used to obtain the shear stress distribution at the interface. For the second problem, the integral transformation method is used to reduce the scattering problem into dual integral equations. Then, the dual integral equations are transformed into the Cauchy singular integral equation of first kind by introduction of the crack dislocation density function. Finally, the singular integral equation is solved by Kurtz's piecewise continuous function method. As a consequence, the crack opening displacement and dynamic stress intensity factor are obtained. At the end of the paper, a numerical example is given. The effects of incident angle, incident frequency and viscoelastic material parameters are analyzed. It is found that there is a frequency region for viscoelastic material within which the viscoelastic effects cannot be ignored.展开更多

When filling ratio is fixed, the bandwidth of the first band gap consistently increases with dielectric constant ratio. However, no similar trend is observed in the second and the third band gaps. The expressions of the energy flux distributions of the TE term, the TM term and the diffracted plane wave are also presented. The ratios of the power of the TE and TM terms to that of the diffracted plane wave are examined in the far-field. In addition, the far-field divergence angles of the TE term, the TM term and the diffracted plane wave, which are related to the energy flux distribution, are investigated. The different energy flux distributions of the TE and TM terms result in the discrepancy of their divergence angles. The influences of the linearly polarized angle and the radius of the circular aperture on the far-field divergence angles of the TE term, the TM term and the diffracted plane wave are discussed in detail. This research may promote the recognition of the optical propagation through a circular aperture.展开更多

The populating expressions are provided for the eigenvalue matrix system that can be directly solved for the angular frequencies and field profiles when bianisotropy is included. To demonstrate the computation process and expected state diagrams and field profiles, numerical computation examples are provided for a bianisotropic Bragg Array with central defect. It is shown that the location of the magnetoelectric tensor elements has a significant effect on the eigenstates of an equivalent isotropic (anisotropic) structure. One form of the magnetoelectric tensor (diagonal elements only) leads to the observation of merging states and the formation of exceptional points. The numerical approach presented can be implemented as an add-on to the familiar plane wave numerical technique.展开更多

The appropriate solutions satisfy the required boundary conditions at the stress-free surface to obtain the expressions of the reflection coefficients of reflected quasi-P (qP) and quasi-SV (qSV) waves in closed form for the incidence of qP and qSV waves. A particular model is chosen for numerical computation of these reflection coefficients for a certain range of the angle of incidence. The numerical values of these reflection coefficients are shown graphically against the angle of incidence for different values of initial stress parameter. 文摘For the last few decades, the parameter estimation of electromagnetic plane waves i.e.,far field sources, impinging on antenna array geometries has attracted a lot of researchers due to their use in radar, sonar and under water acoustic environments. In this work, nature inspired heuristics based on the flower pollination algorithm(FPA)is designed for the estimation problem of amplitude and direction of arrival of far field sources impinging on uniform linear array(ULA).Using the approximation in mean squared error sense,a fitness function of the problem is developed and the strength of the FPA is utilized for optimization of the cost function representing scenarios for various number of sources non-coherent located in the far field. The worth of the proposed FPA based nature inspired computing heuristic is established through assessment studies on fitness, histograms, cumulative distribution function and box plots analysis. The other worthy perks of the proposed scheme include simplicity of concept, ease in the implementation, extendibility and wide range of applicability to solve complex optimization problems. These salient features make the proposed approach as an attractive alternative to be exploited for solving different parameter estimation problems arising in nonlinear systems, power signal modelling, image processing and fault diagnosis.
文摘We construct the two-flux colliding plane wave solutions in higher-dimensional gravity theory with dilaton, and two complementary fluxes. Two kinds of solutions have been obtained: Bell-Szekeres (BS) type and homogeneous type. After imposing the junction condition, we find that only the BS type solution is physically well-defined. Furthermore, we show that the future curvature singularity is always developed for our solutions.
文摘The plane wave numerical technique is recast from Ampere’s and Faraday’s laws for materials that are characterized with a bianisotropic form of the constitutive relations. The numerical approach presented can be implemented as an add-on to the familiar plane wave numerical technique.

文摘Plane wave generators(PWGs) are used to accelerate flyer plates to high velocities with their generated plane waves, which are widely used in the test of dynamic properties of materials. The traditional PWG is composed of two explosives with different detonation velocities. It is difficult to implement the related fabrication processes and control the generated waves due to its complicated structures.A simple plane wave generator is presented in this paper, which is composed of two identical cylindrical high explosive(HE) charges and an air-metal barrier.A theoretical model was established based on two different paths of the propagation of detonation waves, based on which the size of air-metal barrier was calculated for a given charge. The corresponding numerical simulations were also carried out by AUTODYN-2D based on the calculated results, which were used to compare with the theoretical calculations.A detonation wave with a flatness of 0.039 μs within the range of 70-percent diameter of the main charge was obtained through the simulations.
文摘The governing equations of a transversely isotropic dissipative medium are solved analytically to obtain the speeds of plane waves. The impact of initial stress parameter on the reflection coefficients is observed significantly.
