To achieve good performance for LiFePO4-based batteries operated at a wide temperature range,mixed salts of LiBF4 LiBOB(lithium bis(oxalato)borate) and LiTFSI(lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide)-LiBOB were investigated as alternative lithium salts to LiPF6 in non-aqueous electrolytes.LiFePO4/Li half cells using LiPF6,LiBF4-LiBOB and LiTFSI-LiBOB slats as lithium salts were investigated by galvanostatic cycling,cyclic voltammetry,thermogravimetric analysis.The results show that LiBF4-LiBOB and LiTFSI-LiBOB mixed salts are much more thermally stable than LiPF6.Corrosion of Al foil in the LiTFSI-based electrolytes can be suppressed successfully by the addition of LiBOB as a co-salt.The electrochemical performance of LiBF4-LiBOB and LiTFSI-LiBOB mixed salts based cells are both better than that of LiPF6-based cell.LiTFSI-LiBOB mixed salt based electrolyte is considered to be a very promising electrolyte candidate for Li-ion batteries that will be used in wide-temperature applications. 展开更多

Calcium phosphate-based materials(CaP)have been widely used as bone graft substitutes with a decent osseointegration.However,the mechanism whereby cells function and repair the bone defect in CaP micro-environment is still elusive.The aim of this study is to find the mechanism how osteoclast behaviors mediate bone healing with CaP scaffolds.Recent reports show that behaviors of osteoclast are closely related with osteogenesis,thus we make a hypothesis that active osteoclast behaviors induced by CaP facilitate bone healing.Here,we found a new mechanism that CaP can regulate osteoclast-mediated osseointegration.Calcium phosphate cement(CPC)is selected as a representative CaP.We demonstrate that the osteoclast-mediated osseointegration can be strongly modulated by the stimulation with CaP.An appropriate Ca/P ratio in CaP can effectively promote the RANKL-RANK binding and evoke more activated NF-κB signaling transduction,which results in vigorous osteoclast differentiation.We observe significant improvement of bone healing in vivo,owing to the active coupling effect of osteoclasts.What is more noteworthy is that the phosphate ions released from CaP can be a pivotal role regulating osteoclast activity by changing Ca/P ratio readily in materials.These studies suggest the potential of harnessing osteoclast-mediated osteogenesis in order to develop a materials-manipulated approach for improving osseointegration. 展开更多

Geopolymers,such as phosphate-based geopolymer,are promising materials that have drawn extensive attentions as wave-transparent candidates with low dielectric loss factor.In this paper,multilayer SiO2fibers are introduced into phosphate-based geopolymer matrix to prepare composites.Crack generation and fracture behaviors during the three-point bending tests in as-prepared SiO2f/phosphate geopolymer composites are clarified by in situ observation Before high-temperature treatment,composite with 17 vol%fiber content exhibits the best mechanical properties.A decreasing mechanical strength is observed after being treated at higher temperature,which is attributed to the stronger interface binging between fibers and phosphatebased geopolymer matrix.Most importantly,the presence of SiO2fibers can strengthen mechanical properties of phosphate-based geopolymer matrix but shows negligible impact on its dielectric properties,achieving dielectric loss factor as low as 3.53910-3after being treated at 700°C. 展开更多
