First, a comprehensive dynamical model of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) in d-q frame and its space-state equation are established. The slide model control method is used to estimate the electromotive force of PMSM under static frame, while the position of rotor and its actual speed are estimated by using phase loop lock(PLL) method. Next, using Lyapunov stability theorem, the asymptotical stability condition of the slide model observer is presented. Furthermore, based on the backstepping control theory, the PMSM rotor speed and current tracking backstepping controllers are designed, because such controllers display excellent speed tracking and anti-disturbance performance. Finally, Matlab simulation results show that the slide model observer can not only estimate the rotor position and speed of the PMSM accurately, but also ensure the asymptotical stability of the system and effective adjustment of rotor speed and current.展开更多

Issues such as learning speed, stability, and weight convergence remain as areas of research and comparison of many training algorithms. The application of neural networks to control interior permanent magnet synchronous motor using direct torque control (DTC) is discussed. A neural network is used to emulate the state selector of the DTC. The neural networks used are the back-propagation and radial basis function. To reduce the training patterns and increase the execution speed of the training process, the inputs of switching table are converted to digital signals, i.e., one bit represent the flux error, one bit the torque error, and three bits the region of stator flux. The proposed estimators only need online measurement of currents, voltages, and rotor speed to effectively estimate stator resistance, inductance, and rotor flux-linkage simultaneously. The performance of the estimators is compared and verified through simulations and experiments, which show that the two estimators are simple, have good robustness against parameter variation, and are accurate in parameter tracking. However, the estimator based on the Popov stability criterion, which can overcome parameter variation in a practical system, is superior in terms of response speed and convergence speed since there are both proportional and integral units in the estimator, in contrast to only one integral unit in the estimator based on the Lyapunov stability theorem. In this strategy, first, the rotor speed is set at an optimal point for different wind speeds. As a result of which, the tip speed ratio reaches an optimal point, mechanical power coefficient is maximized, and wind turbine produces its maximum power and mechanical torque. Then, the maximum mechanical torque is tracked using electromechanical torque. In this technique, tracking error integral of maximum mechanical torque, the error, and the derivative of error are used as state variables. During changes in wind speed, sliding mode control is designed to absorb the maximum energy from the wind and minimize the response time of maximum power point tracking(MPPT). In this method, the actual control input signal is formed from a second order integral operation of the original sliding mode control input signal. The result of the second order integral in this model includes control signal integrity, full chattering attenuation, and prevention from large fluctuations in the power generator output. The simulation results, calculated by using MATLAB/m-file software, have shown the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy for wind energy systems based on the permanent magnet synchronous generator(PMSG).展开更多

文摘Cogging torque and electromagnetic vibration are two important factors for evaluating permanent magnet synchronous machine(PMSM)and are key issues that must be considered and resolved in the design and manufacture of high-performance PMSM for electric vehicles.A fast and accurate magnetic field calculation model for interior permanent magnet synchronous machine(IPMSM)is proposed in this article.Based on the traditional magnetic potential permeance method, the stator cogging effect and complex boundary conditions of the IPMSM can be fully considered in this model,so as to realize the rapid calculation of equivalent magnetomotive force(MMF),air gap permeance, and other key electromagnetic properties. In this article,a 6-pole 36-slot IPMSM is taken as an example to establish its equivalent solution model, thereby the cogging torque is accurately calculated. And the validity of this model is verified by a variety of different magnetic pole structures, pole slot combinations machines, and prototype experiments. In addition, the improvement measure of the machine with different combination of pole arc coefficient is also studied based on this model.Cogging torque and electromagnetic vibration can be effectively weakened.Combined with the finite element model and multi-physics coupling model, the electromagnetic characteristics and vibration performance of this machine are comprehensively compared and analyzed. The analysis results have well verified its effectiveness. It can be extended to other structures or types of PMSM and has very important practical value and research significance.
文摘The present study was carried out in order to track the maximum power point in a variable speed turbine by minimizing electromechanical torque changes using a sliding mode control strategy. The simulation results, calculated by using MATLAB/m-file software, have shown the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy for wind energy systems based on the permanent magnet synchronous generator(PMSG).

文摘Due to high power density, high efficiency, and accurate control performance, permanent magnet synchronous motors(PMSMs)have been widely adopted in equipment manufacturing and energy transformation fields. To expand the speed range under finite DC-bus voltage, extensive research on field weakening(FW)control strategies has been conducted. This paper summarizes the major FW control strategies of PMSMs,which are categorized into calculation-based methods, voltage closed-loop control methods, and model predictive control related methods. The existing strategies are analyzed and compared according to performance, robustness, and execution difficulty, which can facilitate the implementation of FW control.
文摘This paper presents an analytical method to design the high-efficiency surface permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM)or generator(SPMSG).The air-gap and permanent magnet size can be approximately determined based on our mathematics model, which is the most important part of SPMSM design. From our method,we can know that motor’s power out torque is related to the torque angle that we selected in our design and it affects the air-gap and permanent magnet size.If we choose a low torque angle, the motor or generator’s overload power handing capability will increase. The embrace value has a vital place in designing a motor or generator due to its effects on air gap flux density, cogging torque, efficiency and so on.In order to avoid the knee effect, the working point of the permanent magnet we selected in the design should be bigger than 0.5.The developed 36 slots,4 poles, surface mound permanent generator is proposed. The corresponding finite element analysis(FEA)model is built based on our design method.Structure optimization includes stator and rotor structure size, permanent magnet size, magnetic bridge and air gap length which are analyzed and simulated by ANSYS Maxwell 2D FEA.Thermal analysis is conducted, and the housing of the alternator is designed. The alternator prototype is fabricated and tested based on our design.

文摘The researches on the heat generation and dissipa-tion of the permanent magnet synchronous machines(PMSMs)are integrated problems involving multidisciplinary studies of electromagnetism, thermomechanics, and computational fluid dynamics. The governing equations of the multi-physical prob-lems are coupled and hard to be solved and illustrated. The high accuracy mathematical model in the algebraically integral con-servative forms of the coupled fields is established and computed in this paper. And the equation coupling with the fluid flow and the temperature variation is modified to improve the positive definiteness and the symmetry of the global stiffness matrix. The computational burden is thus reduced by the model modification.A 20kW 4500rpm permanent magnet synchronous machine(PMSM)is taken as the prototype, and the calculation results are validated by experimental ones.
