Methods: Perfluorodecalin (0.05 ml/each) was injected into the anterior chambers of eighteen rabbit eyes. Corneal morphology and endothelial cells were monitored clinically by slit-lamp biomicroscope and specular microscope for 26 weeks. Animals were sacrificed in 1 st, 2nd, 4th, 10th, 16th, 22nd, and 26th week after injection, respectively, and the corneas were examined under the light microscope. Results: Perfluorodecalin droplets looking like “ fish eggs ” were found at about 1/4-1/2 of the corneal height in the inferior anterior chamber. Corneal opacification on the area contacted with perfluorodecalin was observed in five eyes five weeks after injection, and all in the 22nd week. Mutton fat KPs in one eye were seen in the 6th week firstly, and in all eyes in the 7th week. Corneal pannus formation in one eye was present in the 4th week, two eyes in the 5th week and three eyes in the 6th week. Retrocorneal fibrous membrane in one eye was detected at the 6th week and 3 eyes at the 7th week respectively. After injection of perfluorodecalin, endothelial cell density was sighificantly decreased (2789 ± 192 vs. 2341 ± 658, P < O. O1 ) and corneal thickness was increased. Methods Thirteen cases of early retinal detachm...Objective To explore the methods of lens sparing (without lensectomy), non silicone oil tamponade and no scleral buckling for treatment of early giant retinal tears. Methods Thirteen cases of early retinal detachment of proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) grade C 2 D 1, with giant tear extending from 135°to 270° were chosen. Transscleral cryotherapy was first applied to treat each end of the giant tear up to the oral serrate. And then conventional three port pars plana vitrectomy was performed. Perfluorodecalin liquid was injected to manipulate the flap of the retinal tear. The flap with no cryotherapy before was treated with endolaser or cryotherapy under optimal visual condition, then air fluid was exchanged completely and C 3F 8 was injected properly.Results With a mean follow up of 8.2 months, the retina was reattached completely in 12 eyes. Success rate was 92.3%, and visual acuity improved. Most postoperative complications were slight. The retina failed to reattach only in 1 case with severe vitreous blood. Conclusions In treating early retinal giant tears without severe PVR, the lens sparing, non silicone oil tamponade and no scleral bucking are helpful to simplify operation and to improve the success rate of the retinal surgery and to yield satisfactory outcome of visual acuity. Besides, it can also avoid the initial side effects of silicone oil tamponade and diopter irregularity after lensectomy.展开更多
Perfluoronaphthenes,with inert chemical and biological properties and ability to dissolve large amounts of oxygen,have received the most attention in medical applications.However,the excessive anion contained may caus...Perfluoronaphthenes,with inert chemical and biological properties and ability to dissolve large amounts of oxygen,have received the most attention in medical applications.However,the excessive anion contained may cause some side effects.Herein,liquid-liquid extraction technique with shaking and ultrasonic extraction was used for the trace analysis of five anions(F^(-),Cl^(-),NO_(3)^(-),PO_(4)^(3-),SO_(4)^(2-))in perfluorodecalin using water as green extractant.The optimum pretreatment technology and ion chromatography detection conditions were established.Good linearity was observed in each concentration range,and the linear correlation coefficient(R^(2))was better than 0.997.The limits of detection(S/N=3)of five anions from perfluorodecalin were 3.2,5.5,14.2,23.2 and 29.5μg/L,respectively.The established method with high sensitivity and accuracy has been successfully appliedfor the determination of five anions in three perfluorodecalin products,which provides a basis for further development of green detection and quality standard formulation in perfluorodecalin and other fluorocarbon solvents.展开更多

The IR spectra of the resulting products showed that the same functional group, acyl...The chemical reduction and electro reduction behavior of perfluorodecalin have been investigated under the illumination of UV light. The IR spectra of the resulting products showed that the same functional group, acyl fluoride, could be formed in both reduction processes. The results of 19 F NMR and UV vis spectra revealed that there were other different functional groups formed in the two reduction processes. In the electro chemical reduction , conjunctive double bonds could be formed in the same and different carbon ring. In the chemical reduction, using Zn and Mg as reducing agents, aromatic structure was formed in the products.展开更多
