Equation of Motion of a Spinning Test Particle in Gravitational Field

Based on the coupfing between the spin of a particle and gravitoelectromagnetic field, the equation of motion of a spinning test particle in gravitational field is deduced. From this equation of motion, it is found that the motion of a spinning particle deviates from the geodesic trajectory, and this deviation originates from the coupling between the spin of the particle and gravitoelectromagnetic field, which is also the origin of Lense-Thirring effects. In post-Newtonian approximations, this equation gives the same results as those of Mathisson-Papapetrou equation. Effect of the deviation of geodesic trajectory is detectable. 展开更多

This paper shows: in Spin Topological Space, STS [1], the third component of zero spin particle possesses non-zero eigenvalues besides original zero value, this leads to a miraculous spin interaction phenomenon between zero spin particle and other spin particles. In STS, zero spin particle could "dissolve other spin particles", degrade the values of their Casimir operator, and decay these spin particles into other forms of spin particle. 展开更多

For a long time, it has been generally believed that spin-spin interactions can only exist in a theory where Lorentz symmetry is gauged, and a theory with spin-spin interactions is not perturbatively renormalizable. B... For a long time, it has been generally believed that spin-spin interactions can only exist in a theory where Lorentz symmetry is gauged, and a theory with spin-spin interactions is not perturbatively renormalizable. But this is not true. By studying the motion of a spinning particle in gravitational field, it is found that there exist spin-spin interactions in gauge theory of gravity. Its mechanism is that a spinning particle will generate gravitomagnetic field in space-time, and this gravitomagnetic field will interact with the spin of another particle, which will cause spin-spin interactions. So, spin-spin interactions are transmitted by gravitational field. The form of spin-spin interactions in post Newtonian approximations is deduced. This result can also be deduced from the Papapetrou equation. This kind of interaction will not affect the renormalizability of the theory. The spin-spin interactions will violate the weak equivalence principle, and the violation effects are detectable. An experiment is proposed to detect the effects of the violation of the weak equivalence principle. 展开更多

In this paper the generalized equations for spinning space are investigated and the constants of motion are derived in terms of the solutions of these equations. We study the geodesic motion of the pseudo-classical spinning particles in the spacetime produced by an idealized cosmic string and the non-extreme stationary axisymmetric black hole spacetime. The bound state orbits in a plane are discussed. We also show, for a conical spacetime and the Kerr spacetime, that the geodesic motion of spinning particles is different. 展开更多

Wearable electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding devices are highly demanded to reduce the endlessly emerging EM pollution.Undesired durability and limited scale-up production capacity are the main obstacles to hinder the industrialized application of flexible EMI wearables.Here,a scalable Fe_(3)O_(4)/polypyrrole(PPy)embedded cotton/polypropylene(FP@CP)fabric is introduced for EMI shielding and Joule heating,which is achieved by a unique particle flow spinning method.This method can continually manufacture functional yarns in large quantities,followed by weaving into fabrics.The core-sheath yarn structure can highly embed Fe_(3)O_(4)/PPy shielding layer by polypropylene(PP)strips,which protects internal functional components from leakage or damage by the environment.Consequently,the obtained fabrics present greater durability(50 washing and 465 abrasion cycles)in comparison with most reported EMI devices.The EMI shielding mechanism was investigated through both experimental and simulation methods.It suggests that the combination of EMI reflection and absorption modes synergistically contributes to enhancing the EMI shielding property of obtained fabrics,reaching a maximum total shielding effectiveness(SET)of 47 dB.Besides,the composite fabric achieves a high Joule heating temperature to 105℃at 3 V within 10 s due to its efficient electric-thermal property.This work paves a cost-effective way to realize scale-up manufacturing of versatile EM protection textiles to be applied in daily,military and aerospace fields. 展开更多

Owing to the ubiquity and easy-to-shape property of optical intensity,the intensity gradient force of light has been most spectacularly exploited in optical manipulation.Manifesting the intensity gradient as an optical torque to spin particles is of great fascination on both fundamental and practical sides but remains elusive.Here,we theoretically predict the existence of the optical intensity-gradient torque in the interaction of light with chiral particles.Such a new type of torque derives from the interplay between chirality-induced multipoles,which switches its direction for particles with opposite chirality.We show that this torque can be directly detected by a simple standing wave field,created with the interference of two counterpropagating plane-like waves.Our work offers a unique route to achieve rotational control of matter by tailoring the field intensity of Maxwell waves,demonstrated through three-dimensional spinning of a trapped chiral particle.It also establishes a framework that maps a remarkable connection between the optical forces and torques,across chiral to non-chiral. 展开更多
