The rapid development of the social economy strongly promotes the urbanization and motorization.Meanwhile,parking problems become serious due to the long-term imbalance between parking demands and facility constructions.Thus there is an increasing urgency in finding solutions for parking problems.Based on the methodology framework of geographic information system(GIS),the metropolis parking problems are discussed in this paper.The characteristics of parking demand and the reasons for parking problems are investigated in detail.Then,the basic parking principle and strategies for solving parking problems are suggested with the example of Beijing.The results are hoped to improve the parking environment in metropolis. 展开更多

About the Optimized Design of the Parking Space on the Campus of a College

In recent years, with the large increase in the number of motor vehicles in colleges and universities and the lag in campus planning, the relative shortage of parking spaces on campus has become increasingly serious. Taking Baoding College as an example, this article analyzes the current situation of static traffic on campus and finds out the problem of parking on campus through questionnaire surveys and field surveys. Analyze the growth trend of the number of motor vehicles based on the data, use the GM (1, 1) model and the linear fitting model to predict the number of motor vehicles in the future, and determine the size and layout of the parking lot based on the campus size, functional zoning, and road layout. The big campus-based parking system planning method based on big data can effectively solve the problems of small sample data, low accuracy, and poor timeliness of traditional methods, which improves the practicability and scientificity of planning results. 展开更多

A Human‑Like Parking Trajectory Planning Approach for Autonomous Vehicle Load Tasks in Mining Site

In the context of autonomous driving systems at mining sites,the planning of parking trajectories is crucial for ensuring the efficiency of loading tasks.Most studies predominantly employ the shortest path rule to determine the resulting trajectory.Different mining areas may have distinct requirements such as control maneuverability,travel distance,and interaction with other trucks.Existing planners have notable limitations as they require considerable manual effort to design an evaluation function that selects the optimal parking trajectory considering multiple factors.To address the limitations,this study proposes a novel approach for generating human-like,personalized parking trajectories.Specifically,the human-like planner transforms the continuous parking behavior observed in human drivers into a discrete set of maneuvers,deriving an internal evaluation function for parking behavior based on real-world human driving data.Building on this,an efficient parking trajectory is developed using bi-directional heuristic search to address queued loading in narrow areas.Extensive experiments conducted in real mining site environments demonstrate that the human-like parking trajectory planner closely mimics human drivers,reducing waiting time by 30%compared to traditional methods.Moreover,the proposed planner has been successfully applied in practical autonomous driving operations at mining sites.The source code implementation will be released as open-source:https://github.com/AMTbu aa/Human-like-parki ng-traje ctory-plann ing. 展开更多

The aim of this paper is to clarify the pattern and process of changes of landscape in riverside open spaces in urbanized area.The area between the old banks of the Furukawa River in Hiroshima City was examined in this research.The land use maps of the study area were drawn at seven different times were analyzed,and the number,sizes and perimeters of all patches of all land use types were measured.In these areas,temporal patterns of land use change over the past 30 years were divided to three stages:19661976,19761988 and 19881997.As a result of human disturbance,the riparian forest patches in urbanized areas have decreased in average size and have also become longer and narrower. 展开更多

Seasonal Variation in Air Temperature and Relative Humidity on Building Areas and in Green Spaces in Beijing, China 被引量:10

The cooling and humidifying effects of urban parks are an essential component of city ecosystems in terms of regulating microclimates or mitigating urban heat islands(UHIs).Air temperature and relative humidity are two main factors of thermal environmental comfort and have a critical impact on the urban environmental quality of human settlements.We measured the 2-m height air temperature and relative humidity at the Beijing Olympic Park and a nearby building roof for more than 1 year to elucidate seasonal variations in air temperature and relative humidity,as well as to investigate the outdoor thermal comfort.The results showed that the lawn of the park could,on average,reduce the air temperature by(0.80±0.19)℃,and increase the relative humidity by(5.24±2.91)% relative to the values measured at the building roof during daytime.During the nighttime,the lawn of the park reduced the air temperature by(2.64±0.64)℃ and increased the relative humidity by(10.77±5.20)%.The park was cooler and more humid than surrounding building area,especially in night period(more pronounced cooling with 1.84℃).Additionally,the lawn of the park could improve outdoor thermal comfort through its cooling and humidifying effects.The level of thermal comfort in the park was higher than that around the building roof for a total of 11 days annually in which it was above one or more thermal comfort levels(average reduced human comfort index of 0.92)except during the winter. 展开更多
