DJ-1,also known as Parkinson’s disease protein 7(PARK7),is a multifunctional protein that plays an important role in oxidative stress regulation and neuroprotection.Previous studies have shown that DJ-1 affects early...DJ-1,also known as Parkinson’s disease protein 7(PARK7),is a multifunctional protein that plays an important role in oxidative stress regulation and neuroprotection.Previous studies have shown that DJ-1 affects early-onset Parkinson’s disease by regulating neuroinflammation,but its specific mechanism remains unclear.The study investigated the role of DJ-1 in mediating microglia-neuron communication to identify potential therapeutic targets for neuroinflammation in Parkinson’s disease.In this study,we observed a significant decrease in the levels of C-X3-C motif chemokine ligand 1(CX3CL1)in Park7 knockout mice and SH-SY5Y cells with Park7 knockdown.Protein microarray analysis and validation using GEO datasets confirmed that knockout of the Park7 gene led to downregulation of CX3CL1 and two other chemokines,namely monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 and interleukin-8.Further investigation revealed that Park7 deficiency reduced the processing of a disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 10(ADAM10)in the neuronal endoplasmic reticulum of both mice and SH-SY5Y cells,thereby decreasing CX3CL1 secretion.This subsequently led to abnormal microglial activation,with a shift toward the proinflammatory M1 phenotype,exacerbating neuroinflammatory responses.These effects were mitigated by exogenous CX3CL1 administration.Concurrently,exogenous CX3CL1 improved motor function in Parkinson’s disease model mice with the Park7 knockout,promoting survival of tyrosine hydroxylase-positive neurons in the substantia nigra and reducing Iba-1-positive microglial activation.These findings demonstrate that DJ-1 exerts neuroprotective effects on dopaminergic neurons by suppressing microglial activation through CX3CL1 regulation,suggesting that targeting the DJ-1/CX3CL1 axis may represent a novel therapeutic strategy for modulating neuroinflammation and protecting dopaminergic neurons.展开更多

Electrical parking lots(EPLs)play a vital role in the current energy system to achieve the decarbonization goal.This paper proposes a novel structure for integrating EPLs into a multi-carrier energy system(MCES)using ...Electrical parking lots(EPLs)play a vital role in the current energy system to achieve the decarbonization goal.This paper proposes a novel structure for integrating EPLs into a multi-carrier energy system(MCES)using a Stackelberg game theory approach.The bi-level optimization is used to model the Stackelberg game.Within this bi-level optimization model,the MCES operator minimizes the MCES cost by participating in the upstream energy market at the upper level,and the EPL operators maximize their profits by participating in the local energy market between the MCES operator and themselves at the lower level.At the upper level,the MCES operator faces uncertainties in the wind and PV systems.The bi-level multi-objective information gap decision theory(MO-IGDT)is employed to address uncertainties at the upper level of the Stackelberg game problem,resulting in a nested bi-level optimization model.The nested bi-level optimization problem is converted into a mixed-integer linear programming(MILP)optimization problem using Karush–Kuhn–Tucker(KKT)conditions.The main research assumptions pertain to EPLs’privacy and the KKT-based approach.The results demonstrate that increasing the incentive/penalty price for self-sufficiency programs from 0.0$/%to 0.2$/%,with a 50%self-sufficiency target,can reduce MCES operation costs by 10.19%.展开更多
With the development of smart cities and smart technologies,parks,as functional units of the city,are facing smart transformation.The development of smart parks can help address challenges of technology integration wi...With the development of smart cities and smart technologies,parks,as functional units of the city,are facing smart transformation.The development of smart parks can help address challenges of technology integration within urban spaces and serve as testbeds for exploring smart city planning and governance models.Information models facilitate the effective integration of technology into space.Building Information Modeling(BIM)and City Information Modeling(CIM)have been widely used in urban construction.However,the existing information models have limitations in the application of the park,so it is necessary to develop an information model suitable for the park.This paper first traces the evolution of park smart transformation,reviews the global landscape of smart park development,and identifies key trends and persistent challenges.Addressing the particularities of parks,the concept of Park Information Modeling(PIM)is proposed.PIM leverages smart technologies such as artificial intelligence,digital twins,and collaborative sensing to help form a‘space-technology-system’smart structure,enabling systematic management of diverse park spaces,addressing the deficiency in park-level information models,and aiming to achieve scale articulation between BIM and CIM.Finally,through a detailed top-level design application case study of the Nanjing Smart Education Park in China,this paper illustrates the translation process of the PIM concept into practice,showcasing its potential to provide smart management tools for park managers and enhance services for park stakeholders,although further empirical validation is required.展开更多
To adapt to the unique demand-supply features of accessory parking lots at passenger transport hubs,a mixed parking demand assignment method based on regression modeling is proposed.First,an optimal model aiming to mi...To adapt to the unique demand-supply features of accessory parking lots at passenger transport hubs,a mixed parking demand assignment method based on regression modeling is proposed.First,an optimal model aiming to minimize total time expenditure is constructed.It incorporates parking search time,walking time,and departure time,focusing on short-term parking features.Then,the information dimensions that the parking lot can obtain are evaluated,and three assignment strategies based on three types of regression models-linear regression(LR),extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost),and multilayer perceptron(MLP)-are proposed.A parking process simulation model is built using the traffic simulation package SUMO to facilitate data collection,model training,and case studies.Finally,the performance of the three strategies is com-pared,revealing that the XGBoost-based strategy performs the best in case parking lots,which reduces time expendi-ture by 29.3%and 37.2%,respectively,compared with the MLP-based strategy and LR-based strategy.This method offers diverse options for practical parking manage-ment.展开更多

This study aims to examine the factors influencing the use of public parks among the elderly in Bangkok,Thai-land,amidst shifting demographics.As of mid-2024,seniors aged 60 and older accounted for 20.70%of Thailand’...This study aims to examine the factors influencing the use of public parks among the elderly in Bangkok,Thai-land,amidst shifting demographics.As of mid-2024,seniors aged 60 and older accounted for 20.70%of Thailand’s total population.With an annual growth rate of 4.89%,the country is steadily advancing toward becoming a super-aged society.The elderly population increasingly seeks not only senior-friendly housing but also accessible and inclusive public parks or spaces.Parks play a vital role in promoting the health,well-being,and social engagement of elderly individuals.This research explores the relationship between public park use and various independent variables,including public use behavior characteristics and factors associated with the use of public spaces.These factors are categorized into ac-cessibility attributes,diversity attributes,seating arrangement attributes,temperature and weather attributes,aesthetic attributes,safety attributes,and social interaction attributes.Data were collected from 299 respondents,who were asked to rate 25 questions on a 5-point Likert scale,addressing aspects related to their preferences and choices for using public parks.A binary logistic regression analysis was employed to identify the factors impacting elderly individuals’use of public parks in Bangkok.The results indicate that public park use behavior characteristics,along with accessibility,diversity,seating arrangements,aesthetics,safety,and social interaction attributes,significantly influence the use of public parks by elderly individuals.These findings provide valuable insights for public policymakers and park designers,offering recommendations on how to design and develop public parks that better cater to the needs of Bangkok’s aging popu-lation.展开更多
The construction of“park cities”requires a systematic thinking to coordinate the networked development of park system and break through the limitation of emphasizing scale and grade and neglecting dynamic correlatio...The construction of“park cities”requires a systematic thinking to coordinate the networked development of park system and break through the limitation of emphasizing scale and grade and neglecting dynamic correlation in traditional planning.Taking Haidian District of Beijing as an example,the social network analysis method is introduced to construct the network model of park green spaces.Through indicators such as clustering coefficient,network density and node centrality,the characteristics of its spatial structure and hierarchical relationship are analyzed.It is found that the network integrity presents the characteristics of“highly local concentration and global fragmentation”,fragmented park green space network and missing spatial connection,isolated clusters and collaborative failure,as well as the spatial mismatch between population and resource supply and demand.Hierarchical issues include“structural imbalance and functional disorder”,disorder between network hierarchy and park level,misalignment of functional hierarchy leading to weakened network risk resistance capacity,and a relatively dense distribution of core nodes,etc.In response to the above problems,a multi-level spatial intervention strategy should be adopted to solve the overall problem of the network.Meanwhile,it is needed to clarify the positioning of a park itself and improve the hierarchical system,so as to construct a multi-level and multi-scale park green space network,contribute to the construction of a park city,and provide residents with more diverse activity venues.展开更多
This paper examines World Geopark in South Korea as a case study.It begins by outlining the geological and tectonic background of the Korean Peninsula,whose basement consists of Archean to Paleoproterozoic rocks.These...This paper examines World Geopark in South Korea as a case study.It begins by outlining the geological and tectonic background of the Korean Peninsula,whose basement consists of Archean to Paleoproterozoic rocks.These rocks form three continental blocks and constitute a rich geological foundation shaped by multi-stage evolution.The distribution and characteristics of global geoparks are then analyzed.As of 2025,South Korea is home to seven UNESCO Global Geoparks(designated between 2010 and 2025),which feature diverse landforms such as volcanic,sedimentary,and structural formations,with some sites also encompassing cultural relics.Finally,the study highlights that 25 of South Korea's national parks have not yet applied for geopark status and thus hold significant potential.Due to differing evaluation criteria between UNESCO Global Geoparks and South Korea's national parks,future applications involving multiple parks could expand the scale of geoparks,providing valuable insights for geoscience research and park development across East Asia.展开更多
