文摘With breakthroughs in data processing and pattern recognition through deep learning technologies, the use of advanced algorithmic models for analyzing and interpreting soil spectral information has provided an efficient and economical method for soil quality assessment. However, traditional single-output networks exhibit limitations in the prediction process, particularly in their inability to fully utilize the correlations among various elements. As a result,single-output networks tend to be optimized for a single task, neglecting the interrelationships among different soil elements, which limits prediction accuracy and model generalizability. To overcome this limitation,in this study,a multi-task learning architecture with a progressive extraction network was implemented for the simultaneous prediction of multiple indicators in soil, including nitrogen(N),organic carbon(OC),calcium carbonate(CaCO 3),cation exchange capacity(CEC),and pH.Furthermore, while incorporating the Pearson correlation coefficient, convolutional neural networks, long short-term memory networks and attention mechanisms were combined to extract local abstract features from the original spectra, thereby further improving the model. This architecture is referred to as the Relevance-sharing Progressive Layered Extraction Network. The model employs an adaptive joint loss optimization method to update the weights of individual task losses in the multi-task learning training process.

文摘Microcrack growth during progressive compressive failure in brittle rocks strongly influences the safety of deep underground engineering. The external shear stressτxy on brittle rocks greatly affects microcrack growth and progressive failure. However, the theoretical mechanism of the growth direction evolution of the newly generated wing crack during progressive failure has rarely been studied.A novel analytical method is proposed to evaluate the shear stress effect on the progressive compressive failure and microcrack growth direction in brittle rocks. This model consists of the wing crack growth model under the principal compressive stresses, the direction correlation of the general stress, the principal stress and the initial microcrack inclination, and the relationship between the wing crack length and strain. The shear stress effect on the relationship between y-direction stress and wing crack growth and the relationship between y-direction stress and y-direction strain are analyzed. The shear stress effect on the wing crack growth direction during the progressive compressive failure is determined. The initial crack angle effect on the y-direction peak stress and the wing crack growth direction during the progressive compressive failure considering shear stress is also discussed.A crucial conclusion is that the direction of wing crack growth has a U-shaped variation with the growth of the wing crack. The rationality of the analytical results is verified by an experiment and from numerical results. The study results provide theoretical support for the evaluation of the safety and stability of surrounding rocks in deep underground engineering.

文摘BACKGROUND Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis type 1(PFIC-1)is a genetic cholestatic disease causing end-stage liver disease, which needs liver transplantation(LT).Simultaneous biliary diversion(BD)was recommended to prevent allograft steatosis after transplantation, while increasing the risk of infection. Here,an attempt was made to perform BD using appendix to prevent bacterial translocation after LT.CASE SUMMARY An 11-month-old boy diagnosed with PFIC-1 received ABO compatible living donor LT due to refractory jaundice and pruritus. His mother donated her left lateral segment with a graft-to-recipient weight ratio of 2.9%.Internal BD was constructed during LT using the appendix by connecting its proximal end with the intrahepatic biliary duct and the distal end with colon.Biliary leakage was suspected on the 5th day after transplantation and exploratory laparotomy indicated biliary leakage at the cutting surface of liver. The liver function returned to normal on the 9th day post-operation and maintained normal during the 15-month follow-up.Cholangiography at 10 months after transplantation confirmed the direct secretion of bile into colon.Computerized tomography scan(4 months and 10 months)and liver biopsy(10 months)indicated no steatosis in the allograft. No complaint of recurrent diarrhea, infection or growth retardation was reported during follow-up.CONCLUSION Internal BD using appendix during LT is effective in preventing allograft steatosis and post-transplant infection in PFIC-1 recipients.
文摘Deep learning-based Joint Source-Channel Coding(JSCC)is a crucial component in semantic communication, and recent research has made significant progress in adapting to different channels. In this paper,we propose a multi-stage progressive technique called Deep learning based Progressive Joint Source-Channel Coding(DP-JSCC).This approach partitions the source into multiple stages and transmits the signals continuously. The receiver gradually enhances the quality of image reconstruction by progressively receiving the signals, offering greater flexibility compared to existing dynamic rate transmission methods. The model adopts a lightweight architectural design, where we introduce an efficient module called the Inverted Shuffle Attention Bottleneck(ISAB)and incorporate self-attention mechanisms in the encoding and decoding process to capture signal correlations and establish long-range dependencies.Additionally,we introduce the Progressive Focus Weight Allocation(PFWA)method to improve the image reconstruction capability in progressive transmission tasks. These design enhance the expressive capacity of the model.Simulation results demonstrate that DP-JSCC can flexibly adjust the transmission rate according to requirements without the need for retraining or deployment, enabling continuous optimization of signals at different rates.Furthermore, compared to stateof-the-art JSCC methods,DP-JSCC exhibits advantages in terms of computational complexity, parameter count, and reconstruction performance.
文摘Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis(PFIC)is a group of rare, inherited cholestatic liver disorders presenting in infants and children and are associated with impaired bile flow(i.e.,cholestasis),pruritus and progressive liver disease.Historically there has been no effective or approved pharmacologic treatments for these disorders and standard medical treatment has only been supportive. The impaired bile flow within the liver, leads to accumulation in the liver and inflammation.Historically there has been no effective or approved pharmacologic treatments for these disorders and standard medical treatment has only been supportive.A potential for reducing pathologic bile accumulation in the liver is surgical biliary diversion, with an aim to interrupt the enterohepatic circulation. These procedures have demonstrated a positive effect in PFIC by normalizing serum bile acids, reducing pruritus and liver injury and improving the patient quality of life.Nonsurgical approach to interrupting the enterohepatic circulation is inhibition of the ileal bile acid transporter(IBAT).IBAT inhibition has demonstrated efficacy in reducing serum bile acids and pruritus. We aim to present the 13 types of PFIC and the current evidence on the use of IBAT inhibitors in treating children with PFIC.

文摘patients with PPF.TCM treatments are typically diverse and individualized, requiring urgent development of efficient and precise design strategies to identify effective treatment options. We designed an innovative Bayesian adaptive two-stage trial, hoping to provide new ideas for the rapid evaluation of the effectiveness of TCM in PPF.An open-label,two-stage,adaptive Bayesian randomized controlled trial will be conducted in China.Based on Bayesian methods, the trial will employ response-adaptive randomization to allocate patients to study groups based on data collected over the course of the trial. The adaptive Bayesian trial design will employ a Bayesian hierarchical model with“stopping”and“continuation”criteria once a predetermined posterior probability of superiority or futility and a decision threshold are reached. The trial can be implemented more efficiently by sharing the master protocol and organizational management mechanisms of the sub-trial we have implemented. The primary patient-reported outcome is a change in the Leicester Cough Questionnaire score, reflecting an improvement in cough-specific quality of life. The adaptive Bayesian trial design may be a promising method to facilitate the rapid clinical evaluation of TCM effectiveness for PPF,and will provide an example for how to evaluate TCM effectiveness in rare and refractory diseases. However, due to the complexity of the trial implementation, sufficient simulation analysis by professional statistical analysts is required to construct a Bayesian response-adaptive randomization procedure for timely response. Moreover, detailed standard operating procedures need to be developed to ensure the feasibility of the trial implementation.

文摘Landslides triggered by high gas pressure represent a distinct geotechnical hazard, especially in scenarios without significant rainfall.Recent studies have revealed that high-pressure gas accumulation within slopes can be a dominant trigger for large-scale failures although the processes behind this remain not well understood. This study examines how unsaturated soil slopes fail under high gas pressure using a combination of laboratory experiments and numerical simulations.A key discovery is that gas pressure changes slope stability by redistributing pore fluids and altering effective stress, with distinct depthdependent effects. Moreover,a novel concept of critical stable gas pressure(P_(ac))is proposed as a practical threshold for stability assessment, which is depthdependent, with extreme values at shallow and intermediate depths, reflecting the interplay between gas diffusion and overburden resistance. This study advances the mechanistic understanding of gasinduced slope instability and offers actionable benchmarks for managing related risks in engineering projects including waste landfill management and shale gas operations.

文摘Underwater target detection in forward-looking sonar(FLS)images is a challenging but promising endeavor. The existing neural-based methods yield notable progress but there remains room for improvement due to overlooking the unique characteristics of underwater environments.Considering the problems of low imaging resolution, complex background environment, and large changes in target imaging of underwater sonar images, this paper specifically designs a sonar images target detection Network based on Progressive sensitivity capture, named ProNet.It progressively captures the sensitive regions in the current image where potential effective targets may exist.Guided by this basic idea, the primary technical innovation of this paper is the introduction of a foundational module structure for constructing a sonar target detection backbone network. This structure employs a multi-subspace mixed convolution module that initially maps sonar images into different subspaces and extracts local contextual features using varying convolutional receptive fields within these heterogeneous subspaces.Subsequently,a Scale-aware aggregation module effectively aggregates the heterogeneous features extracted from different subspaces. Finally, the multi-scale attention structure further enhances the relational perception of the aggregated features. We evaluated ProNet on three FLS datasets of varying scenes, and experimental results indicate that ProNet outperforms the current state-of-the-art sonar image and general target detectors.
