Nowadays, the manufacturers of PLC develop there own network. PLC technique has two development trends. On one hand, PLC network system is not a self-contained closed system any longer and develops towards open system. Various PLC not only has distinctive PLC network systems and completes device control task, but also network with the superior computer management system to realize information exchange, which makes it become one part of information management system. On the other hand, the field-bus technique is widely applied. PLC is connected with the intelligent equipments installed on site such as intelligent instrument, sensor, intelligent solenoid valve, intelligent drive actuator by a transmission media ( such as twisted pair, coaxial cable and cable), and they transmit information mutually according to the same communication protocol, which can form a field industrial control network. Compared with single PLC remote network, the network not only has the advantages of flexible configurations, easy expansion, low cost and higher cost perfomaance, but also has opening significance.展开更多
This paper aims to reduce the communication cost of the distributed learning algorithm for stochastic configuration networks (SCNs), in which information exchange between the learning agents is conducted only at a tri...This paper aims to reduce the communication cost of the distributed learning algorithm for stochastic configuration networks (SCNs), in which information exchange between the learning agents is conducted only at a trigger time. For this purpose, we propose the communication-censored distributed learning algorithm for SCN, namely ADMMM-SCN-ET, by introducing the event-triggered communication mechanism to the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). To avoid unnecessary information transmissions, each learning agent is equipped with a trigger function. Only if the event-trigger error exceeds a specified threshold and meets the trigger condition, the agent will transmit the variable information to its neighbors and update its state in time. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce the communication cost for training decentralized SCNs and save communication resources.展开更多

Having analyzed the characteristics of impulsive disturbance in powerline and the collision mechanism between the disturbance and data frame, this letter gives the function of the network channel utilization with the length of data frame in MAC layer and the impulsive disturbance. Our stochastic process simulation shows that it is feasible to get the optimal length of data frame.展开更多
Most existing media access control(MAC) protocols in power line communication(PLC) networks just discard the colliding data packets when collision occurs.The collision deteriorates throughput and delay performance of ...Most existing media access control(MAC) protocols in power line communication(PLC) networks just discard the colliding data packets when collision occurs.The collision deteriorates throughput and delay performance of system under high traffic conditions.This article presents a novel media access scheme with fast collision resolution for in-home power line networks.It works by first recognizing the colliding stations through detecting the inserted unique ID sequence ahead of data packets,then the source nodes retransmitting their packets immediately after the collision slot.The proposed protocol maintains the benefits of ALOHA systems.It needs no scheduling overhead and is suitable for bursty sources,such as multimedia data packets.Computer simulations have demonstrated that this approach can achieve high throughput due to its ability of resolving collisions.展开更多

To solve this problem, an end-to-end transmission time for remaining path(TTRP) met...The topology of in-home power line communication(PLC) networks varies frequently, which makes traditional routing algorithms failure. To solve this problem, an end-to-end transmission time for remaining path(TTRP) metric-based opportunistic routing(TTRPOR) is proposed. Since a local broadcasting scheme is adopted, the algorithm can find the optimal path for forwarding packets in a dynamic PLC network. The closed-form of the outage probability for a PLC channel is derived to estimate the TTRP. It is proved that the average throughput can achieve maximum as the metric TTRP is utilized to sort candidate forwarding nodes.Numerical results show that the end-to-end throughput of networks with TTRPOR, outperforms that of the network adopting DSR and EXOR, especially for the case of varying-topology in-home PLC networks.展开更多
