Metaverse is a new emerging concept building up a virtual environment for the user using Virtual Reality(VR)and blockchain technology but introduces privacy risks.Now,a series of challenges arise in Metaverse security...Metaverse is a new emerging concept building up a virtual environment for the user using Virtual Reality(VR)and blockchain technology but introduces privacy risks.Now,a series of challenges arise in Metaverse security,including massive data traffic breaches,large-scale user tracking,analysis activities,unreliable Artificial Intelligence(AI)analysis results,and social engineering security for people.In this work,we concentrate on Decentraland and Sandbox,two well-known Metaverse applications in Web 3.0.Our experiments analyze,for the first time,the personal privacy data exposed by Metaverse applications and services from a combined perspective of network traffic and privacy policy.We develop a lightweight traffic processing approach suitable for the Web 3.0 environment,which does not rely on complex decryption or reverse engineering techniques.We propose a smart contract interaction traffic analysis method capable of retrieving user interactions with Metaverse applications and blockchain smart contracts.This method provides a new approach to de-anonymizing users'identities through Metaverse applications.Our system,METAseen,analyzes and compares network traffic with the privacy policies of Metaverse applications to identify controversial data collection practices.The consistency check experiment reveals that the data types exposed by Metaverse applications include Personal Identifiable Information(PII),device information,and Metaverse-related data.By comparing the data flows observed in the network traffic with assertions made in the privacy regulations of the Metaverse service provider,we discovered that far more than 49%of the Metaverse data flows needed to be disclosed appropriately.展开更多

Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption(CP-ABE)enables fine-grained access control on ciphertexts,making it a promising approach for managing data stored in the cloud-enabled Internet of Things.But existing schem...Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption(CP-ABE)enables fine-grained access control on ciphertexts,making it a promising approach for managing data stored in the cloud-enabled Internet of Things.But existing schemes often suffer from privacy breaches due to explicit attachment of access policies or partial hiding of critical attribute content.Additionally,resource-constrained IoT devices,especially those adopting wireless communication,frequently encounter affordability issues regarding decryption costs.In this paper,we propose an efficient and fine-grained access control scheme with fully hidden policies(named FHAC).FHAC conceals all attributes in the policy and utilizes bloom filters to efficiently locate them.A test phase before decryption is applied to assist authorized users in finding matches between their attributes and the access policy.Dictionary attacks are thwarted by providing unauthorized users with invalid values.The heavy computational overhead of both the test phase and most of the decryption phase is outsourced to two cloud servers.Additionally,users can verify the correctness of multiple outsourced decryption results simultaneously.Security analysis and performance comparisons demonstrate FHAC's effectiveness in protecting policy privacy and achieving efficient decryption.展开更多

The increasingly severe aging problem in economically developed regions has created a pressing need for effective smart elderly care policies.This study takes Fujian Province as a case to systematically explore the ch...The increasingly severe aging problem in economically developed regions has created a pressing need for effective smart elderly care policies.This study takes Fujian Province as a case to systematically explore the characteristics and development trends of regional smart elderly care policies based on data-driven analysis,aiming to provide a rational and replicable framework for policy optimization in other regions.Using 59 policy documents from Fujian Province and its prefecture-level cities as the data source,this research employs quantitative methods combined with policy text mining techniques to examine the temporal distribution,content features,and keyword themes of these policies.The analysis reveals three core focus areas:the development and application of intelligent elderly care technologies,the construction and improvement of integrated healthcare and elderly care systems,and the enhancement of public elderly care services.This data-driven approach not only identifies key policy priorities and practical directions in Fujian Province but also offers a scientific tool for policy formulation and evaluation in similar contexts.While the study provides a systematic analysis framework based on empirical data,its findings are limited to Fujian Province and require further validation for broader applicability.Future research could extend to other regions and incorporate evaluations of policy implementation outcomes to refine the data-driven policy analysis system.展开更多
Under the dual drivers of global climate governance and carbon neutrality goals,agricultural carbon emission reduction has become a pivotal component of regional green transformation.This study focuses on Guangdong,a ...Under the dual drivers of global climate governance and carbon neutrality goals,agricultural carbon emission reduction has become a pivotal component of regional green transformation.This study focuses on Guangdong,a major province,employing the LMDI decomposition mode to systematically analyze the driving mechanis of agricultural carbon emissions.It reveals that the low ecological compensation standard,industrial path dependence,and high-carbon energy lock-in consti-tute core constraints.The research finds that the absence of ecological compensation standards and the structural imbalance of traditional subsidy policies induce diminishing marginal benefits in carbon reduction due to structural imbalances,while persistent funding shortages in low-carbon technology R&D further weaken emission reduction efficacy,exacerbating compatibility contradictions between emission policies and production practices.Through the comparison of domestic and foreign experiences,it is found that under the global wave of low-carbon transformation in agriculture,the ecological compensation optimization layer should establish a calculation system for the carbon sink value of cultivated land and differentiated compensation standards;the fiscal and taxation policy coordination layer should implement a tiered carbon tax on agricultural inputs and carbon sink pledge financing incentives.Constructing a fiscal expenditure and fiscal and taxation coordination mechanism that suits regional characteristics is the key path to resolving the contradiction between the technical economy and ecological sustainability of emission reduction.展开更多

Purpose:Policies have often,albeit inadvertently,overlooked certain scientific insights,especially in the handling of complex events.This study aims to systematically uncover and evaluate pivotal scientific insights t...Purpose:Policies have often,albeit inadvertently,overlooked certain scientific insights,especially in the handling of complex events.This study aims to systematically uncover and evaluate pivotal scientific insights that have been underrepresented in policy documents by leveraging extensive datasets from policy texts and scholarly publications.Design/methodology/approach:This article introduces a research framework aimed at excavating scientific insights that have been overlooked by policy,encompassing four integral parts:data acquisition and preprocessing,the identification of overlooked content through thematic analysis,the discovery of overlooked content via keyword analysis,and a comprehensive analysis and discussion of the overlooked content.Leveraging this framework,the research conducts an in-depth exploration of the scientific content overlooked by policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.Findings:During the COVID-19 pandemic,scientific information in four domains was overlooked by policy:psychological state of the populace,environmental issues,the role of computer technology,and public relations.These findings indicate a systematic underrepresentation of important scientific insights in policy.Research limitations:This study is subject to two key limitations.Firstly,the text analysis method—relying on pre-extracted keywords and thematic structures—may not fully capture the nuanced context and complexity of scientific insights in policy documents.Secondly,the focus on a limited set of case studies restricts the broader applicability of the conclusions across diverse situations.Practical implications:The study introduces a quantitative framework using text analysis to identify overlooked scientific content in policy,bridging the gap between science and policy.It also highlights overlooked scientific information during COVID-19,promoting more evidence-based and robust policies through improved science-policy integration.Originality/value:This paper provides new ideas and methods for excavating scientific information that has been overlooked by policy,further deepens the understanding of the interaction between policy and science during the COVID-19 period,and lays the foundation for the more rational use of scientific information in policy-making.展开更多
Recently,lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),due to their superior performance,have been vastly applied in electronic,auto,and other industries,resulting in the generation of an increasing amount of spent LIBs.What’s worse,L...Recently,lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),due to their superior performance,have been vastly applied in electronic,auto,and other industries,resulting in the generation of an increasing amount of spent LIBs.What’s worse,LIBs contained potentially toxic substances,including heavy metals,toxic and flammable electrolyte containing LiBF_(4),LiClO_(4),and LiPF_(6).Conventional disposal of spent LIBs via landfill or incineration exerts tremendous pressure on the environment.It was necessary to adopt efficient,low-cost,and environmentally friendly approaches to valorizing spent LIBs,which could not only alleviate the shortage of rare resources by recycling valuable ele-ments such as Cu,Li,Mn,Ni,Co,and Al,but also eliminate the pollution of harmful components in batteries and realize the recycling and sustainable industry related to consumer electronics and electric vehicles(EVs).Given this,this paper summarized the recycling technologies of spent LIBs,including pyrometallurgy(melting reduction and roasting methods)and hydrometallurgy(leaching,precipitation,extraction,ion-exchange,elec-trochemical,sol-gel methods),and electrolyte recycling(organic solvent extraction and supercritical extraction methods).Pyrometallurgy technologies had relatively decent metal recovery rates but were associated with high energy consumption and atmospheric emission issues.Hydrometallurgical technologies were more environ-mentally friendly and efficient in recovering spent LIBs,although disposing of the wastewater generated from the process remained a challenge.In addition,the different industrial processes and various countries’related policies of recycling spent LIBs were investigated.In the end,the outlooks and future directions of recycling spent LIBs were proposed.展开更多

With the increasing severity of urban traffic congestion and environmental pollution issues,Mobility-as-a-Service(MaaS)has garnered increasing attention as an emerging mode of transportation.Thus,how to motivate users...With the increasing severity of urban traffic congestion and environmental pollution issues,Mobility-as-a-Service(MaaS)has garnered increasing attention as an emerging mode of transportation.Thus,how to motivate users to participate in MaaS has become an important research issue.This study first classified the incentive policies into four aspects:financial incentive policy,non-financial incentive policy,information policy,and convenience policy.Then,through online questionnaires and field interviews,456 sets of data were collected in Beijing,and the data were analyzed by the structural equation model and latent class model.The results show that the four incentive policies are positively correlated with users'participation in MaaS,among which financial incentive policy and information policy have the greatest impact,that is,they can better encourage users by increasing direct financial subsidies and broadening the information about MaaS.In addition,Latent Class Analysis was performed to class different users and it was found that the personal characteristics of users had some influence on willingness to participate in MaaS.Therefore,incentive policies should be designed to consider the needs and characteristics of different user groups to improve their willingness to participate in MaaS.The results can provide theoretical suggestions for the government to promote the widespread application of MaaS in urban transportation.展开更多

The multi-disciplinary data and information available at a community level comprise the foundation of natural hazard resilience modeling.These data enable and inform mitigation and recovery planning decisions prior to...The multi-disciplinary data and information available at a community level comprise the foundation of natural hazard resilience modeling.These data enable and inform mitigation and recovery planning decisions prior to and following damaging events such as earthquakes.This paper presents a multi-disciplinary seismic resilience mod-eling methodology to assess the vulnerability of the built environment and economic systems.This methodology can assist decision-makers with developing effective mitigation policies to improve the seismic resilience of com-munities.Two complementary modeling strategies are designed to examine the impacts of scenario earthquakes from a combined engineering and economic perspective.The engineering model is developed using a probabilis-tic fragility-based modeling approach and is analyzed using Monte Carlo(MC)simulations subject to seismic multi-hazard,including simulated ground shaking and resulting liquefaction of the soil,to quantify the physical damage to buildings and electric power substations(EPS).The outcome of the analysis is subsequently used as input to repair and recovery models to quantify repair cost and recovery time metrics for buildings and as input to functionality models to estimate the functionality of individual buildings and substations by accounting for their interdependency.The economic model consists of a spatial computable general equilibrium(SCGE)model that aggregates commercial buildings into sectors for retail,manufacturing,services,etc.,and aggregates residential buildings into a wide range of household groups.The SCGE model employs building functionality estimates to quantify the economic losses.The outcomes of this integrated modeling consist of engineering and economic impact metrics,which are used to investigate mitigation actions to help inform a community on approaches to achieve its resilience goals.An illustrative case study of Salt Lake County(SLC),Utah,developed through an extensive collaborative partnership and engagement with SLC officials,is presented.The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology in quantifying the loss and functional recovery of infrastructure systems,the impacts on capital stock,employment,and household income and the effect of various mitigation strategies in reducing the losses and functional recovery time subject to earthquakes with varying intensities.展开更多
In response to the challenges of generating Attribute-Based Access Control(ABAC)policies,this paper proposes a deep learning-based method to automatically generate ABAC policies from natural language documents.This me...In response to the challenges of generating Attribute-Based Access Control(ABAC)policies,this paper proposes a deep learning-based method to automatically generate ABAC policies from natural language documents.This method is aimed at organizations such as companies and schools that are transitioning from traditional access control models to the ABAC model.The manual retrieval and analysis involved in this transition are inefficient,prone to errors,and costly.Most organizations have high-level specifications defined for security policies that include a set of access control policies,which often exist in the form of natural language documents.Utilizing this rich source of information,our method effectively identifies and extracts the necessary attributes and rules for access control from natural language documents,thereby constructing and optimizing access control policies.This work transforms the problem of policy automation generation into two tasks:extraction of access control statements andmining of access control attributes.First,the Chat General Language Model(ChatGLM)isemployed to extract access control-related statements from a wide range of natural language documents by constructing unique prompts and leveraging the model’s In-Context Learning to contextualize the statements.Then,the Iterated Dilated-Convolutions-Conditional Random Field(ID-CNN-CRF)model is used to annotate access control attributes within these extracted statements,including subject attributes,object attributes,and action attributes,thus reassembling new access control policies.Experimental results show that our method,compared to baseline methods,achieved the highest F1 score of 0.961,confirming the model’s effectiveness and accuracy.展开更多

文摘Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption(CP-ABE)enables fine-grained access control on ciphertexts,making it a promising approach for managing data stored in the cloud-enabled Internet of Things.But existing schemes often suffer from privacy breaches due to explicit attachment of access policies or partial hiding of critical attribute content.Additionally,resource-constrained IoT devices,especially those adopting wireless communication,frequently encounter affordability issues regarding decryption costs.In this paper,we propose an efficient and fine-grained access control scheme with fully hidden policies(named FHAC).FHAC conceals all attributes in the policy and utilizes bloom filters to efficiently locate them.A test phase before decryption is applied to assist authorized users in finding matches between their attributes and the access policy.Dictionary attacks are thwarted by providing unauthorized users with invalid values.The heavy computational overhead of both the test phase and most of the decryption phase is outsourced to two cloud servers.Additionally,users can verify the correctness of multiple outsourced decryption results simultaneously.Security analysis and performance comparisons demonstrate FHAC's effectiveness in protecting policy privacy and achieving efficient decryption.

文摘The increasingly severe aging problem in economically developed regions has created a pressing need for effective smart elderly care policies.This study takes Fujian Province as a case to systematically explore the characteristics and development trends of regional smart elderly care policies based on data-driven analysis,aiming to provide a rational and replicable framework for policy optimization in other regions.Using 59 policy documents from Fujian Province and its prefecture-level cities as the data source,this research employs quantitative methods combined with policy text mining techniques to examine the temporal distribution,content features,and keyword themes of these policies.The analysis reveals three core focus areas:the development and application of intelligent elderly care technologies,the construction and improvement of integrated healthcare and elderly care systems,and the enhancement of public elderly care services.This data-driven approach not only identifies key policy priorities and practical directions in Fujian Province but also offers a scientific tool for policy formulation and evaluation in similar contexts.While the study provides a systematic analysis framework based on empirical data,its findings are limited to Fujian Province and require further validation for broader applicability.Future research could extend to other regions and incorporate evaluations of policy implementation outcomes to refine the data-driven policy analysis system.

文摘Under the dual drivers of global climate governance and carbon neutrality goals,agricultural carbon emission reduction has become a pivotal component of regional green transformation.This study focuses on Guangdong,a major province,employing the LMDI decomposition mode to systematically analyze the driving mechanis of agricultural carbon emissions.It reveals that the low ecological compensation standard,industrial path dependence,and high-carbon energy lock-in consti-tute core constraints.The research finds that the absence of ecological compensation standards and the structural imbalance of traditional subsidy policies induce diminishing marginal benefits in carbon reduction due to structural imbalances,while persistent funding shortages in low-carbon technology R&D further weaken emission reduction efficacy,exacerbating compatibility contradictions between emission policies and production practices.Through the comparison of domestic and foreign experiences,it is found that under the global wave of low-carbon transformation in agriculture,the ecological compensation optimization layer should establish a calculation system for the carbon sink value of cultivated land and differentiated compensation standards;the fiscal and taxation policy coordination layer should implement a tiered carbon tax on agricultural inputs and carbon sink pledge financing incentives.Constructing a fiscal expenditure and fiscal and taxation coordination mechanism that suits regional characteristics is the key path to resolving the contradiction between the technical economy and ecological sustainability of emission reduction.

文摘Purpose:Policies have often,albeit inadvertently,overlooked certain scientific insights,especially in the handling of complex events.This study aims to systematically uncover and evaluate pivotal scientific insights that have been underrepresented in policy documents by leveraging extensive datasets from policy texts and scholarly publications.Design/methodology/approach:This article introduces a research framework aimed at excavating scientific insights that have been overlooked by policy,encompassing four integral parts:data acquisition and preprocessing,the identification of overlooked content through thematic analysis,the discovery of overlooked content via keyword analysis,and a comprehensive analysis and discussion of the overlooked content.Leveraging this framework,the research conducts an in-depth exploration of the scientific content overlooked by policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.Findings:During the COVID-19 pandemic,scientific information in four domains was overlooked by policy:psychological state of the populace,environmental issues,the role of computer technology,and public relations.These findings indicate a systematic underrepresentation of important scientific insights in policy.Research limitations:This study is subject to two key limitations.Firstly,the text analysis method—relying on pre-extracted keywords and thematic structures—may not fully capture the nuanced context and complexity of scientific insights in policy documents.Secondly,the focus on a limited set of case studies restricts the broader applicability of the conclusions across diverse situations.Practical implications:The study introduces a quantitative framework using text analysis to identify overlooked scientific content in policy,bridging the gap between science and policy.It also highlights overlooked scientific information during COVID-19,promoting more evidence-based and robust policies through improved science-policy integration.Originality/value:This paper provides new ideas and methods for excavating scientific information that has been overlooked by policy,further deepens the understanding of the interaction between policy and science during the COVID-19 period,and lays the foundation for the more rational use of scientific information in policy-making.
文摘Recently,lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),due to their superior performance,have been vastly applied in electronic,auto,and other industries,resulting in the generation of an increasing amount of spent LIBs.What’s worse,LIBs contained potentially toxic substances,including heavy metals,toxic and flammable electrolyte containing LiBF_(4),LiClO_(4),and LiPF_(6).Conventional disposal of spent LIBs via landfill or incineration exerts tremendous pressure on the environment.It was necessary to adopt efficient,low-cost,and environmentally friendly approaches to valorizing spent LIBs,which could not only alleviate the shortage of rare resources by recycling valuable ele-ments such as Cu,Li,Mn,Ni,Co,and Al,but also eliminate the pollution of harmful components in batteries and realize the recycling and sustainable industry related to consumer electronics and electric vehicles(EVs).Given this,this paper summarized the recycling technologies of spent LIBs,including pyrometallurgy(melting reduction and roasting methods)and hydrometallurgy(leaching,precipitation,extraction,ion-exchange,elec-trochemical,sol-gel methods),and electrolyte recycling(organic solvent extraction and supercritical extraction methods).Pyrometallurgy technologies had relatively decent metal recovery rates but were associated with high energy consumption and atmospheric emission issues.Hydrometallurgical technologies were more environ-mentally friendly and efficient in recovering spent LIBs,although disposing of the wastewater generated from the process remained a challenge.In addition,the different industrial processes and various countries’related policies of recycling spent LIBs were investigated.In the end,the outlooks and future directions of recycling spent LIBs were proposed.
文摘This paper discusses collaborative planning principles as a means to improve water supply systems in the case of Delhi,India,through primary and secondary data analysis.The theory of collaborative planning is a well-established concept applied to obtain effective policies in planning through the collaboration of actors in a shared space.We use this framework to discuss strengths,weaknesses,and scope for collaboration in the current urban development plan formulation process of the city.Some of the principles of collaborative planning we use include communication,collective decision-making processes,and network power in a shared institutional environment.Ourfindings indicate a lack of considera-tion of water policies in the urban development plans.This underlines a major gap in the current process of plan formulation and provides evidence that the absence of collaboration between institutions in both sectors contributes to poor water supply for the population in Delhi.At the same time,it emphasizes the importance of collaborative practices between urban development and water institutions for better planning of water service provision in Indian cities.

文摘With the increasing severity of urban traffic congestion and environmental pollution issues,Mobility-as-a-Service(MaaS)has garnered increasing attention as an emerging mode of transportation.Thus,how to motivate users to participate in MaaS has become an important research issue.This study first classified the incentive policies into four aspects:financial incentive policy,non-financial incentive policy,information policy,and convenience policy.Then,through online questionnaires and field interviews,456 sets of data were collected in Beijing,and the data were analyzed by the structural equation model and latent class model.The results show that the four incentive policies are positively correlated with users'participation in MaaS,among which financial incentive policy and information policy have the greatest impact,that is,they can better encourage users by increasing direct financial subsidies and broadening the information about MaaS.In addition,Latent Class Analysis was performed to class different users and it was found that the personal characteristics of users had some influence on willingness to participate in MaaS.Therefore,incentive policies should be designed to consider the needs and characteristics of different user groups to improve their willingness to participate in MaaS.The results can provide theoretical suggestions for the government to promote the widespread application of MaaS in urban transportation.

文摘The multi-disciplinary data and information available at a community level comprise the foundation of natural hazard resilience modeling.These data enable and inform mitigation and recovery planning decisions prior to and following damaging events such as earthquakes.This paper presents a multi-disciplinary seismic resilience mod-eling methodology to assess the vulnerability of the built environment and economic systems.This methodology can assist decision-makers with developing effective mitigation policies to improve the seismic resilience of com-munities.Two complementary modeling strategies are designed to examine the impacts of scenario earthquakes from a combined engineering and economic perspective.The engineering model is developed using a probabilis-tic fragility-based modeling approach and is analyzed using Monte Carlo(MC)simulations subject to seismic multi-hazard,including simulated ground shaking and resulting liquefaction of the soil,to quantify the physical damage to buildings and electric power substations(EPS).The outcome of the analysis is subsequently used as input to repair and recovery models to quantify repair cost and recovery time metrics for buildings and as input to functionality models to estimate the functionality of individual buildings and substations by accounting for their interdependency.The economic model consists of a spatial computable general equilibrium(SCGE)model that aggregates commercial buildings into sectors for retail,manufacturing,services,etc.,and aggregates residential buildings into a wide range of household groups.The SCGE model employs building functionality estimates to quantify the economic losses.The outcomes of this integrated modeling consist of engineering and economic impact metrics,which are used to investigate mitigation actions to help inform a community on approaches to achieve its resilience goals.An illustrative case study of Salt Lake County(SLC),Utah,developed through an extensive collaborative partnership and engagement with SLC officials,is presented.The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology in quantifying the loss and functional recovery of infrastructure systems,the impacts on capital stock,employment,and household income and the effect of various mitigation strategies in reducing the losses and functional recovery time subject to earthquakes with varying intensities.

文摘In response to the challenges of generating Attribute-Based Access Control(ABAC)policies,this paper proposes a deep learning-based method to automatically generate ABAC policies from natural language documents.This method is aimed at organizations such as companies and schools that are transitioning from traditional access control models to the ABAC model.The manual retrieval and analysis involved in this transition are inefficient,prone to errors,and costly.Most organizations have high-level specifications defined for security policies that include a set of access control policies,which often exist in the form of natural language documents.Utilizing this rich source of information,our method effectively identifies and extracts the necessary attributes and rules for access control from natural language documents,thereby constructing and optimizing access control policies.This work transforms the problem of policy automation generation into two tasks:extraction of access control statements andmining of access control attributes.First,the Chat General Language Model(ChatGLM)isemployed to extract access control-related statements from a wide range of natural language documents by constructing unique prompts and leveraging the model’s In-Context Learning to contextualize the statements.Then,the Iterated Dilated-Convolutions-Conditional Random Field(ID-CNN-CRF)model is used to annotate access control attributes within these extracted statements,including subject attributes,object attributes,and action attributes,thus reassembling new access control policies.Experimental results show that our method,compared to baseline methods,achieved the highest F1 score of 0.961,confirming the model’s effectiveness and accuracy.
文摘Since the 21 st century, both Chinese Mainland and the United States have formulated foreign language education policiesbased on their national needs. This paper makes a comparative study of the value orientations of foreign language education poli-cies in Chinese Mainland and the United States in the 21 st century and finds that both China and the United States have regardedtheir national interests as the essential value orientation of their foreign language education policies. To be specific,the core valueorientation of foreign language education policies in China is to enhance its cultural soft power.In contrast,the core value orienta-tion of foreign language education policies in the United States is to safeguard its national security. Through the comparison of thedifferent value orientations of foreign language education policies of the two countries, the paper provides some reference for the for-eign language education policy-making in Chinese Mainland.
文摘China to Maintain Supportive Monetary Policy in 2025 China’s central bank will maintain a supportive monetary policy stance and policy orientation in 2025,its governor said.The People’s Bank of China(PBOC)will utilize a variety of monetary policy tools and increase countercyclical regulation to maintain reasonable and ample liquidity,and to reduce the overall financing costs for enterprises and residents,PBOC governor Pan Gongsheng said while addressing a conference.Efforts will be made to effectively leverage structural monetary policy tools to promote the stable development of the real estate market and capital market,Pan said.The PBOC announced that starting from January 2025,a new statistical caliber of M1 money supply will be implemented,which will include personal demand deposits and non-bank payment institutions’customer reserves.The central bank will enhance its monitoring of the money supply at various levels and social liquidity,Pan noted.
