In order to improve the control performance of three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)system,an active disturbance rejection finite control set-mode predictive control(FCS-MPC)strategy based on improved extended state observer(ESO)is proposed in this paper.ESO is designed based on the arc-hyperbolic sine function to obtain estimations of rotating speed and back electromotive force(EMF)term of motor speed.Active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)is applied as speed controller.The proposed FCS-MPC strategy aims to reduce the electromagnetic torque ripple and the complexity and calculation of the algorithm.Compared with the FCS-MPC strategy based on PI controller,the constructed control strategy can guarantee the reliable and stable operation of PMSM system,and has good speed tracking,anti-interference ability and robustness. 展开更多

This article investigates the anti-disturbance and stabilization problems for the nonlinear uncertain permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)with stator voltage saturation and unknown load.A smooth switching mechanism is presented to structure the adaptive integral terminal sliding mode control(SMC)strategy.The control design consists of compensation control and nominal control,which improves the rapidity and accuracy of trajectory tracking.The smooth saturation model based on the error function is applied to approximate the voltage saturation phenomenon.Additionally,to deal with the adverse effects of various unknown disturbances,including model parameter uncertainties and unknown external load disturbances,an improved disturbance observer(DO)is proposed.This observer effectively suppresses the fluctuations caused by fixed gain during the starting period of the system.Finally,the experimental results under different conditions show that the proposed strategy has good tracking and disturbance suppression performances. 展开更多

Active damping(AD)strategy is an economical and efficient method to solve the resonant problem of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)drive system with inductor-capacitor(LC)sine wave filter.In this article,the AD methods used in PMSM drive system are classified as inherent damping(ID),state variable feedback,and digital filter.Based on this,the purpose of this article is to provide an overview and analysis of the AD methods on PMSM drive system in recent years,and to comprehensively review,compare,and summarize the stability,dynamic performance,robustness,and algorithm complexity.Furthermore,a new expansion of AD method based on capacitor current feedback with high-pass filter(HPF-CCF)is studied to ensure the effectiveness when the resonant frequency is around sixth of the sampling frequency.The simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of theoretical analysis. 展开更多

一种模糊PI控制器参数IPSO寻优的PMSM控制方法研究

针对传统模糊PI控制器控制参数固定不变而造成控制性能较差以及系统自适应能力下降的问题,提出了一种基于改进粒子群的模糊PI控制器参数寻优方法;使用模糊控制器改善PI的参数,随后应用引入Arctan函数自适应惯性权重来优化粒子群算法的... 针对传统模糊PI控制器控制参数固定不变而造成控制性能较差以及系统自适应能力下降的问题,提出了一种基于改进粒子群的模糊PI控制器参数寻优方法;使用模糊控制器改善PI的参数,随后应用引入Arctan函数自适应惯性权重来优化粒子群算法的全局特性,进而寻找到模糊控制中量化因子和比例因子的最优值,以使系统达到更好的控制效果;在Matlab/Simulink下搭建PMSM矢量控制调速仿真模型,通过3种工况验证所提控制方法的有效性;仿真结果表明,基于改进粒子群算法寻优的模糊PI控制方法与传统模糊PI控制和标准粒子群模糊PI控制相比,无负载以1000 r/min启动,0.04 s转速降为800 r/min时其调节时间、超调量、稳态误差分别下降52.1%,98.9%,82.2%和13.9%,76.9%,12.5%;无负载启动,0.04 s添加10 N·m的负载转矩时其调节时间、超调量、稳态误差分别下降了60.4%,59.9%,33.8%和40.2%,57.3%,27.2%,以12 N·m的负载启动,0.04 s负载转矩突变为0 N·m时其调节时间、超调量、稳态误差分别下降了47.7%,93.5%,82.7%和11.6%,85.3%,43.2%;该方法提高了永磁同步电机控制系统的动态响应速度,减少了超调和波动,使系统达到更好的控制效果。 展开更多

高功率密度、高效率是地铁牵引永磁同步电机(PMSM)的重要研究方向,而实现这一目标的关键在于提升电流环控制性能。然而,在低载波比控制条件下,d轴与q轴电流的耦合效应随载波比降低而增强,且数字控制延迟会进一步放大耦合现象,导致电流... 高功率密度、高效率是地铁牵引永磁同步电机(PMSM)的重要研究方向,而实现这一目标的关键在于提升电流环控制性能。然而,在低载波比控制条件下,d轴与q轴电流的耦合效应随载波比降低而增强,且数字控制延迟会进一步放大耦合现象,导致电流调节器动态响应速度和鲁棒性下降。为解决此问题,文章基于内模控制原理,设计了具有数字控制延时补偿功能的内模解耦控制器,实现了d-q轴电流的精确解耦,优化了电流调节器的动态性能并增强了系统鲁棒性。通过仿真分析与在西安地铁1号线永磁牵引试验平台上的试验验证表明,相比PI电流调节器,内模电流控制器具有更强的鲁棒性和更快的动态响应,且转矩误差更小,满足误差不大于3%的指标要求。 展开更多

Non-Singular Fast Terminal Sliding Mode Control of PMSM Based on Disturbance Observer

In permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)control,the jitter problem affects the system performance,so a novel reaching lawis proposed to construct a non-singular fast terminal slidingmode controller(NFTSMC)to reduce the jitter.To enhance the immunity of the system,a disturbance observer is designed to observe and compensate for the disturbance to the sliding mode controller.In addition,considering that the controller parameters are difficult to adjust,and the traditional zebra optimization algorithm(ZOA)is prone to converge prematurely and fall into local optimum when solving the optimal solution,the improved zebra optimization algorithm(IZOA)is proposed,and the ability of the IZOA in practical applications is verified by using international standard test functions.To verify the performance of IZOA,firstly,the adjustment time of IZOA is reduced by 71.67%compared with ZOA through the step response,and secondly,the tracking error of IZOA is reduced by 51.52%compared with ZOA through the sinusoidal signal following.To verify the performance of the designed controller based on disturbance observer,the designed controller reduces the speed overshoot from 2.5%to 0.63%compared with the traditional NFTSMC in the speed mutation experiment,which is a performance improvement of 70.8%,and the designed controller outperforms the traditional NFTSMC in the load mutation experiment,which is a performance improvement of 60.0%in the case of sudden load addition,and a performance improvement of 90.0%in the case of load release,which verifies that the designed controller outperforms the traditional NFTSMC. 展开更多

This article investigates the radial electromagnetic force,vibration,and noise phenomenon in a low-speed,hightorque density spoke-type permanent magnet synchronous machine(ST-PMSM)designed with assisted poles having symmetric and asymmetric topologies.Firstly,an analytical expression for the machine radial electromagnetic force(REMF)is derived to quickly estimate the REMF characteristics for the ST-PMSM with assisted poles having symmetric and asymmetric topologies.The 2D-Fourier decomposition method is applied to investigate the radial electromagnetic force harmonics(REMFHs).Secondly,Finite element(FE)models are designed for the machine structural analysis.Subsequently,the FE models and modal analysis are explored for different design cases of the analyzed machine.Lastly,vibration and noise behavior are investigated using an FE approach for the machine designs under symmetric and asymmetric assisted poles topologies.The findings indicate an increase in the richness of REMFHs,alongside a decrease in both the fundamental frequency and the lowest non-zero order of REMF,attributed to the presence of asymmetric assisted poles.Consequently,it is investigated that while considering the vibration and noise response in STPMSMs designed with asymmetric assisted poles topologies,it is essential to thoroughly account for induced non-zero low-order harmonics and their optimization for better vibration and noise performance. 展开更多

For permanent magnet synchronous machines(PMSMs),accurate inductance is critical for control design and condition monitoring.Owing to magnetic saturation,existing methods require nonlinear saturation model and measurements from multiple load/current conditions,and the estimation is relying on the accuracy of saturation model and other machine parameters in the model.Speed harmonic produced by harmonic currents is inductance-dependent,and thus this paper explores the use of magnitude and phase angle of the speed harmonic for accurate inductance estimation.Two estimation models are built based on either the magnitude or phase angle,and the inductances can be from d-axis voltage and the magnitude or phase angle,in which the filter influence in harmonic extraction is considered to ensure the estimation performance.The inductances can be estimated from the measurements under one load condition,which is free of saturation model.Moreover,the inductance estimation is robust to the change of other machine parameters.The proposed approach can effectively improve estimation accuracy especially under the condition with low current magnitude.Experiments and comparisons are conducted on a test PMSM to validate the proposed approach. 展开更多

For the traditional methods of rotor position estimation for permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM),the phase shift caused by the introduction of filter will affect the accuracy of rotor position estimation to some extent.This paper presents an improved rotor position estimation method for high frequency square wave signal injection without filter.Firstly,the traditional method injects high-frequency pulse vibration signals into the estimated shafting,and the proposed method injects high-frequency square wave signals into the estimated shafting to avoid the introduction of filters in the process of extracting rotor position information.Then,the rotor position signal is decoupled in the stationary shafting,and the rotor position error after demodulation is processed by PLL.The system realized the signal processing of rotor position without filter,which improved the convergence speed and estimation precision of rotor position and the dynamic response performance of the system.The simulation results showed that the proposed method had fast convergence speed and small phase delay,and better improved the precision of rotor position detection. 展开更多

Numerous uncertainties in practical production and operation can seriously affect the drive performance of permanent magnet synchronous machines(PMSMs).Various robust control methods have been developed to mitigate or eliminate the effects of these uncertainties.However,the robustness to uncertainties of electrical drive systems has not been clearly defined.No systemic procedures have been proposed to evaluate a control system's robustness(how robust it is).This paper proposes a systemic method for evaluating control systems'robustness to uncertainties.The concept and fundamental theory of robust control are illustrated by considering a simple uncertain feedback control system.The effects of uncertainties on the control performance and stability are analyzed and discussed.The concept of design for six-sigma(a robust design method)is employed to numerically evaluate the robustness levels of control systems.To show the effectiveness of the proposed robustness evaluation method,case studies are conducted for second-order systems,DC motor drive systems,and PMSM drive systems.Besides the conventional predictive control of PMSM drive,three different robust predictive control methods are evaluated in terms of two different parametric uncertainty ranges and three application requirements against parametric uncertainties. 展开更多

Permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)is widely used in alternating current servo systems as it provides high eficiency,high power density,and a wide speed regulation range.The servo system is placing higher demands on its control performance.The model predictive control(MPC)algorithm is emerging as a potential high-performance motor control algorithm due to its capability of handling multiple-input and multipleoutput variables and imposed constraints.For the MPC used in the PMSM control process,there is a nonlinear disturbance caused by the change of electromagnetic parameters or load disturbance that may lead to a mismatch between the nominal model and the controlled object,which causes the prediction error and thus affects the dynamic stability of the control system.This paper proposes a data-driven MPC strategy in which the historical data in an appropriate range are utilized to eliminate the impact of parameter mismatch and further improve the control performance.The stability of the proposed algorithm is proved as the simulation demonstrates the feasibility.Compared with the classical MPC strategy,the superiority of the algorithm has also been verified. 展开更多
