The position control model is deduced based on a single stand cold rolling mill, and the fuzzy controller for monitor AGC system is designed. The analysis of dynamic performance for traditional PID Smith prediction controller and fuzzy self-tuning PID Smith prediction controller is done by MAT- LAB toolbox. The simulation results show that fuzzy self-tuning PID Smith controller has stronger robustness, faster response and higher static accuracy than traditional PID Smith controller. 展开更多

The principle of the gas membrane separation process and the influence of the operation temperatures are analyzed. As the conventional PID controller is difficult to make the operation temperatures steady, a fuzzy self-tuning PID control algorithm is proposed. The application shows that the algorithm is effective, the operation temperatures of both stages can be controlled steadily, and the operation flexibility and adaptability of the hydrogen recovery unit are enhanced with safety. In this paper a trial has been made to design a simple self-tuning LabVIEW-based PID controller. The controller uses an open-loop relay test, calculates the tuned parameters in an open loop mode of operation before it updates controller parameters and runs the process as a closed-loop system. The controller reacts on a persistent offset error value as a result of load disturbance or a set point change. Practical results show that such a controller may be recommended to control a variety of industrial processes. A GUI was developed to facilitate control-mode selection, the setting of controller parameters, and the display of control system variables. GUI makes it possible to put the controller in manual or self-tuning mode. 展开更多

This paper illustrates the benefits of a self-tuning PID strategy applied to a proton exchange membrane fuel cell system. Controller parameters are updated on-line, at each sampling time, based on an instantaneous linearization of an artificial neural network model of the process and a General Minimum Variance control law. The self-tuning PID scheme allows managing nonlinear behaviors of the system while avoiding heavy computations. The applicability, efficiency and robustness of the proposed control strategy are experimentally confirmed using varying control scenarios. In this aim, the original built-in controller is overridden and the self-tuning PID controller is implemented externally and executed on-line. Experimental results show good performance in setpoint tracking accuracy and robustness against plant/model mismatch. The proposed strategy appears to be a promising alternative to heavy computation nonlinear control strategies and not optimal linear control strategies. 展开更多

Development of an Enhanced Self-Tuning RBF-PID Controller for Achieving Higher Energy-Efficient Process Control

Proportional, integral and derivative (PID) control strategy has been widely applied in heating systems in decades. To improve the accuracy and the robustness of PID control, self-tuning radial-basis-function neural network PID (RBF-PID) is developed and used. Even though being popular, during the control process both of PID and RBF-PID control strategy are inadequate in achieving simultaneous high energy-efficiency and good control accuracy. To address this problem, in this paper we develop and report an enhanced self-tuning radial-basis-function neural network PID (e-RBF-PID) controller. To identify the superiority of e-RBF-PID, following works are conducted and reported in this paper. Firstly, four controllers, i.e., on-off, PID, RBF-PID and e-RBF-PID are designed. Secondly, in order to test the performance of the e-RBF-PID controller, an experimental water heating system is constructed for being controlled. Finally, the energy consumption for the four controllers under the three control scenarios is investigated through experiments. The experimental results indicate that in the three scenarios, the developed e-RBF-PID controller outperforms on-off controller as having higher accuracy. Compared to the PID controller, the e-RBF-PID controller has higher speed in control, and the experimental results show that settling time savings is between 12.6% - 49.0%. Most importantly, less control energy consumption is obtained if using the e-RBF-PID controller. It is found that up to 28.5% energy consumption can be saved. Therefore, it is concluded that the proposed e-RBF-PID is capable of enhancing energy efficiency during control process. 展开更多

针对压电陶瓷作动器在进行信号跟踪时形成的迟滞环以及非线性现象,使用了高斯过程回归的数学方法进行建模,并采用共轭梯度法辨识模型超参数;将采集到的输入输出数据进行交换,代入到所建模型中进行训练得出其逆模型,逆模型在前馈回路中... 针对压电陶瓷作动器在进行信号跟踪时形成的迟滞环以及非线性现象,使用了高斯过程回归的数学方法进行建模,并采用共轭梯度法辨识模型超参数;将采集到的输入输出数据进行交换,代入到所建模型中进行训练得出其逆模型,逆模型在前馈回路中进行逆补偿控制,同时反馈回路引入PID控制进行参数调节,实时有效的跟踪压电陶瓷作动器的输出信号;最后搭建了相关的实验装置平台,对提出的压电陶瓷作动器高斯模型以及跟踪控制效果进行了仿真实验测试。实验结果表明,系统建模的相对误差均小于0.0219,同时跟踪10 Hz~100 Hz单一频率信号的相对误差值的大小均在5%以下,能够很好地达到实际静态建模的目的和要求。 展开更多

在煤矿综采工作面液压支架控制中,若仅依据单一俯仰角确定支架姿态,则会产生一定预估偏差。这种偏差会导致液压支架支护高度的控制值偏离期望值,进而对综采工作面的开采效率造成影响。为此,设计了一种煤矿综采工作面液压支架模糊PID自... 在煤矿综采工作面液压支架控制中,若仅依据单一俯仰角确定支架姿态,则会产生一定预估偏差。这种偏差会导致液压支架支护高度的控制值偏离期望值,进而对综采工作面的开采效率造成影响。为此,设计了一种煤矿综采工作面液压支架模糊PID自适应控制方法。首先,该方法先基于俯仰角、航向角及横滚角的数据,构建液压支架的三维矩阵模型,以实现对煤矿综采工作面液压支架姿态的精准预估;然后,通过建立液压支架的模糊控制逻辑,并依托模糊PID算法,构建液压支架姿态的自适应控制模型,最终实现液压支架的自适应控制功能。最终控制结果显示,液压支架支护高度控制在550~800 mm的范围内波动,与控制期望趋近于一致,控制效果良好,对于提升煤矿综采工作面的开采效率具有重要作用。 展开更多

针对水表检定装置的压力和流量相互深度耦合产生的复合控制问题,在分析压力和流量的耦合影响关系基础上,基于随机Bregman近端梯度下降法设计深度学习神经网络训练策略,提出了Bregman深度学习比例积分微分(PID)方法。该方法以变频器频率... 针对水表检定装置的压力和流量相互深度耦合产生的复合控制问题,在分析压力和流量的耦合影响关系基础上,基于随机Bregman近端梯度下降法设计深度学习神经网络训练策略,提出了Bregman深度学习比例积分微分(PID)方法。该方法以变频器频率作为压力控制量、调节阀开度作为流量主控量。通过试验验证了该方法的训练预测和控制特性。试验数据说明,当调节阀预测误差在-1%~+3%范围内波动,以及变频器预测误差在-0.3%~+0.4%范围内变化时,该方法控制效果良好。与传统方法相比,该方法控制中的流量和压力调节时间分别减少20%和13%左右。该方法能提高检定装置的工作效率及稳定性,具有较高的应用、推广价值。 展开更多

An approach for parameter estimation of proportional-integral-derivative(PID) control system using a new nonlinear programming(NLP) algorithm was proposed.SQP/IIPM algorithm is a sequential quadratic programming(SQP) based algorithm that derives its search directions by solving quadratic programming(QP) subproblems via an infeasible interior point method(IIPM) and evaluates step length adaptively via a simple line search and/or a quadratic search algorithm depending on the termination of the IIPM solver.The task of tuning PI/PID parameters for the first-and second-order systems was modeled as constrained NLP problem. SQP/IIPM algorithm was applied to determining the optimum parameters for the PI/PID control systems.To assess the performance of the proposed method,a Matlab simulation of PID controller tuning was conducted to compare the proposed SQP/IIPM algorithm with the gain and phase margin(GPM) method and Ziegler-Nichols(ZN) method.The results reveal that,for both step and impulse response tests,the PI/PID controller using SQP/IIPM optimization algorithm consistently reduce rise time,settling-time and remarkably lower overshoot compared to GPM and ZN methods,and the proposed method improves the robustness and effectiveness of numerical optimization of PID control systems. 展开更多

The aim of this paper is to employ fractional order proportional integral derivative(FO-PID)controller and integer order PID controller to control the position of the levitated object in a magnetic levitation system(MLS),which is inherently nonlinear and unstable system.The proposal is to deploy discrete optimal pole-zero approximation method for realization of digital fractional order controller.An approach of phase shaping by slope cancellation of asymptotic phase plots for zeros and poles within given bandwidth is explored.The controller parameters are tuned using dynamic particle swarm optimization(d PSO)technique.Effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by simulation and experimental results.The performance of realized digital FO-PID controller has been compared with that of the integer order PID controllers.It is observed that effort required in fractional order control is smaller as compared with its integer counterpart for obtaining the same system performance. 展开更多

A PID parameters tuning and optimization method for a turbine engine based on the simplex search method was proposed. Taking time delay of combustion and actuator into account, a simulation model of a PID control system for a turbine engine was developed. A performance index based on the integral of absolute error (IAE) was given as an objective function of optimization. In order to avoid the sensitivity that resulted from the initial values of the simplex search method, the traditional Ziegler-Nichols method was used to tune PID parameters to obtain the initial values at first, then the simplex search method was applied to optimize PID parameters for the turbine engine. Simulation results indicate that the simplex search method is a reasonable and effective method for PID controller parameters tuning and optimization. 展开更多

Further, a self-tuning weighted measurement fusion Kalman filter is presented, based on the Riccati equation. By the Dynamic Error System Analysis (DESA) method, it rigorously proved that the presented self-tuning weighted measurement fusion Kalman filter converges to the optimal weighted measurement fusion steady-state Kalman filter in a realization or with probability one, so that it has asymptotic global optimality. A simulation example for a target tracking system with 3-sensor shows that the presented self-tuning measurement fusion Kalman fuser converges to the optimal steady-state measurement fusion Kalman fuser. 展开更多

Quasi-PID control method that is able to effectively inhibit the inherent tracking error of PI control method is proposed on the basis of a rounded theoretical analysis of a model of switching power amplifiers (SPAs). To avoid the harmful impacts of the circuit parameter variations and the random disturbances on quasi-PID control method, a single neuron is introduced to endow it with self-adaptability. Quasi-PID control method and the single neuron combine with each other perfectly, and their formation is named as single-neuron adaptive quasi-PID control method. Simulation and experimental results show that single-neuron adaptive quasi-PID control method can accurately track both the predictable and the unpredictable waveforms. Quantitative analysis demonstrates that the accuracy of single-neuron adaptive quasi-PID control method is comparable to that of linear power amplifiers (LPAs) and so can fulfill the requirements of some high-accuracy applications, such as protective relay test. Such accuracy is very difficult to be achieved by many modern control methods for converter controls. Compared with other modern control methods, the programming realization of single-neuron adaptive quasi-PID control method is more suitable for real-time applications and realization on low-end microprocessors for its simple structure and lower computational complexity. 展开更多

为解决传统的单缸塔式起重机在顶升过程中抗干扰性差和安全性低的问题,因泵控系统能量效率高、压力损失低,更适合高精度同步控制,提出一种泵控分布式液压回路系统实现双液压缸的同步控制。该系统采用交叉耦合控制策略,并结合改进的BP-PI... 为解决传统的单缸塔式起重机在顶升过程中抗干扰性差和安全性低的问题,因泵控系统能量效率高、压力损失低,更适合高精度同步控制,提出一种泵控分布式液压回路系统实现双液压缸的同步控制。该系统采用交叉耦合控制策略,并结合改进的BP-PID控制方法,以提升同步精度和动态响应性能。将改进BP-PID与传统PID和模糊PID对比,通过AMESim/Simulink进行联合仿真分析。结果表明:相较于传统PID控制器,改进BP-PID达到稳态的时间缩短了49.88%,稳态误差降低了0.07 mm,增强了单缸系统的响应速度与鲁棒性;与模糊PID算法相比,改进BP-PID达到稳定时间缩短了49.18%,稳态误差降低了0.04 mm;双缸最大同步误差为1.49 mm,稳定后降至0.18 mm,有效提高了系统的抗干扰能力、鲁棒性和安全性。 展开更多

在电镀线镀槽液化学反应热效应干扰下,电镀线镀槽需要不断补偿散失热量或增加冷却负荷以维持槽液设定温度,难以在每个电镀反应周期内对温度变化进行稳定控制,导致温度控制偏差较大。为此,提出应用GPCPLC-PID的电镀线镀槽液温度抗干扰稳... 在电镀线镀槽液化学反应热效应干扰下,电镀线镀槽需要不断补偿散失热量或增加冷却负荷以维持槽液设定温度,难以在每个电镀反应周期内对温度变化进行稳定控制,导致温度控制偏差较大。为此,提出应用GPCPLC-PID的电镀线镀槽液温度抗干扰稳定控制方法。考虑电镀反应温度变化,基于灵敏度系数校准电镀线镀槽液温度传感数据,能够在温度干扰下捕捉温度变化;在PLC控制器上,运用广义预测控制方法(Generalized Predictive Control,GPC)预测镀槽在化学反应热效应干扰下补偿热量或增强冷却时的温度变化趋势,对温度控制律进行校正滚动抗干扰优化;将最优控制律输出的温度调整实时扰动偏差前馈值作为PID控制器的输入,通过前馈偏差补偿跟踪响应温度变化,实现电镀线镀槽液温度抗干扰稳定控制。实验结果表明,所提方法能够准确感知电镀线镀槽液温度,通过GPC预测电镀线镀槽液温度变化趋势,降低了电镀线镀槽液温度控制的偏差,增强了控制抗干扰能力,为电镀线镀槽液温度稳定控制提供了强大支撑。 展开更多
