The classification of Chinese traditional settlements(CTSs)is extremely important for their differentiated development and protection.The innovative double-branch classification model developed in this study comprehen...The classification of Chinese traditional settlements(CTSs)is extremely important for their differentiated development and protection.The innovative double-branch classification model developed in this study comprehensively utilized the features of remote sensing(RS)images and building facade pictures(BFPs).This approach was able to overcome the limitations of previous methods that used only building facade images to classify settlements.First,the features of the roofs and walls were extracted using a double-branch structure,which consisted of an RS image branch and BFP branch.Then,a feature fusion module was designed to fuse the features of the roofs and walls.The precision,recall,and F1-score of the proposed model were improved by more than 4%compared with the classification model using only RS images or BFPs.The same three indexes of the proposed model were improved by more than 2%compared with other deep learning models.The results demonstrated that the proposed model performed well in the classification of architectural styles in CTSs.展开更多

Many researchers have studied the detection of real pornographic pictures, but there are few studies on those that are artificial. In this work, we studied how to detect artificial pornographic pictures, especially when they are on social networks. The whole detection process can be divided into two stages： feature selection and picture detection. In the feature selection stage, seven types of features that favour picture detection were selected. In the picture detection stage, three steps were included. 1） In order to alleviate the imbalance in the number of artificial pornographic pictures and normal ones, the training dataset of artificial pornographic pictures was expanded. Therefore, the features which were extracted from the training dataset can also be expanded too. 2） In order to reduce the time of feature extraction, a fast method which extracted features based on the proportionally scaled picture rather than the original one was proposed. 3） Three tree models were compared and a gradient boost decision tree （GBDT） was selected for the final picture detection. Three sets of experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve better recognition precision and drastically reduce the time cost of the method.展开更多

This scheme reduces the amount of the candidate modes to generate a dynamic list for the current encoding macroblock according to the statistical information derived from the co-located reference macroblocks in different temporal levels. The experimental results show that this fast algorithm reduces approximately 31% encoding time on average with the negligible loss of encoding performance.展开更多

This study explored the possibility of using event-related potentials （ERP） for the measurement of picture-recognition memory and examined its correlation with the Chinese Wechsler Memory Scale-revised （WMS-RC） in...This study explored the possibility of using event-related potentials （ERP） for the measurement of picture-recognition memory and examined its correlation with the Chinese Wechsler Memory Scale-revised （WMS-RC） in patients with memory disorder caused by severe traumatic brain injury （sTBI）. The subjects included 20 sTBI patients with memory disorder and 22 healthy individuals. Memory function was measured by using WMS-RC. Behavioral and ERP responses were recorded on-line during performance on a battery of picture recognition and the responses were analyzed off-line for recognition memory effects. Mean memory quotient （MQ） of patients with sTBI was significantly lower than that of the control group. Mean reaction time （RT） was significantly longer and the mean correctness rate （CR） of picture recognition was significantly lower in sTBI group than that of the controls. In controls, the main components of average ERP of picture recognition includes two positive-going waves, designated as P170 and P500, that appear 170 ms and 500 ms after stimulation when the subject could later successfully recall and recognize the pictures. P500 amplitude of target stimulus was significantly higher than that of non-target stimulus. Compared to controls, P500 responses of sTBI group were significantly delayed in latency （P〈0.001） and lower in amplitude （P〈0.001）. P500 latency showed significant negative correlation with MQ and the scores of ＂addition＂, ＂visual recognition＂, ＂picture recall＂, ＂visual reproduction＂ and ＂tactile memory＂ in WMS-RC. ERP of picture recognition provides a neurophysiological approach to directly assess memory impairment, and P500 may serve as a helpful index for memory disorder caused by sTBI in forensic practice.展开更多
