Polymer acceptor configuration and aggregation behavior are critical in determining the photovoltaic performance of all-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs).Effectively manipulating polymer self-aggregation through structural design to optimize the blend morphology remains challenging.Herein,we present a simple yet effective design strategy to modulate the aggregation behavior of the Y-series-based polymer acceptor PY-V-γby introducing a pendant-fluorinated Y-series acceptor(Y2F-ET)into the main-conjugated backbone.Two random copolymer acceptors(PY-EY-5 and PY-EY-20)were synthesized with varying molar fractions of Y2F-ET pendant monomers.Our findings revealed that both the solution-phase and solid-state aggregation behaviors were progressively suppressed as the Y2F-ET content increased.Compared to the highly self-aggregating PY-V-γ-based all-PSCs,the more amorphous PY-EY-5 enabled devices to achieve an increased device efficiency from 17.31%to 18.45%,which is attributed to the slightly smaller polymer phase-separation domain sizes and reduced molecular aggregation in the PM6:PY-EY-5 blend.Moreover,the finely tuned blend morphology exhibited superior thermal stability,underscoring the significant advantages of the Y-series pendant random copolymerization approach. 展开更多

As part of a better understanding of drying liquids within porous materials, measurements from 293 to 343 K of deionized water surface tension in air as a function of relative humidity are exposed. Experimental work was carried out using the pendant drop method coupled with image analysis within an adapted instrumented climatic chamber. Results show that surface tension linearly decreases when relative humidity increases. Although the effect of humidity is less compared to that of the temperature and even less compared to a surfactant impact, it must not be neglected and values have to be mentioned when dealing with water evaporation. Modifying surface tension also affects the pendant drop shape. The drying kinetics of the pendant drop volume and its outer shell are connected to this change of shape. Steam in the air can be assimilated to a wetting agent, hence a surfactant, and can be used in an environmental-friendly way to ease the drying stage. Indeed, the challenge is to limit the risk of cracking and damaging pieces during this crucial step in material processing. 展开更多

The interest in curtailing environmental pollution issues through physical separation processes has inspired an extensive search for novel nanoporous materials with exceptional adsorption capabilities.Covalent triazine frameworks(CTFs),emerged as a class of crystalline covalent organic frameworks(COFs),have been widely examined for various separation applications,owing to their large porosity,high stability,and rich nitrogen(N)doping.The development of CTFs for efficient adsorption of mercury(Ⅱ)(Hg^(2+))is of great importance for the field,whereas it is rarely attempted,on account of limited synthetic strategies and unknown structural-property relations of conventional CTFs derived from ionothermal approaches.Herein,we report rational synthesis of a crystalline CTF with methylthio pendant arms for efficient removal of Hg^(2+)with an exceptional capacity of 751 mg·g^(-1),ranking at the top among previously-reported adsorbents.This work may open up new possibility in the synthesis of COFs for various separations. 展开更多

The fluorescence behaviours of a new polymer poly [oxy-2 (4-N, N-dimethylaminobenzyl) propane-1 , 3-diyloxy-terephthaloyl] (Ⅰ) in solution were studied. Inter-and intra -molecular exciplex is formed between the singlet excited state of N, N- dimethylanilino group (abbreviated to DMA) and the ground state of terephthalate group (abbreviated to TP). The intensity ratio of the long wavelength exciplex fluorescence to the short wavelength emission of DMA group is used as an index for the inter-and intra-molecular interaction of chromophores. The results are compared with model polymer polyoxy-2-(4-N ,N-dimethylaminobenzyl) propanc-1 , 3-diyloxyadipoyl (Ⅱ), model monomer compound 4-N, N-dimethylaminobenzylmethyl terephthalate(Ⅲ) and diethyl 2-( 4-N, N-dimethylaminobenzyl) malonate (Ⅳ). Polymer association derived by electron donor and acceptor interaction (EDA) is further verified as a key role in the interpolymer exciplex formation . The fluorescence decay time of (Ⅰ) and monomer (Ⅲ) are measured in solutions. 展开更多

Electron beam–directed energy deposition(EB–DED)has emerged as a promising wire-based metal additive manufacturing technique.However,the effects of EBs on pendant droplets at wire tips have not yet been determined.The aim of this study is to enhance the understanding of this action by analyzing the mechanism of droplet oscillation.The pendant droplet oscillation phenomenon hinders the stable transfer of droplets to the molten pool and limits the feasibility of manufacturing complex lattice structures by EB–DED.Hence,another aim of this study is to create an oscillation suppression method.An escalating asymmetric amplitude is the main characteristic of droplet oscillation.The primary oscillationinducing force is the recoil force generated from the EB-acted local surface of the droplet.The physical mechanism of this force is the rapid increase and uneven distribution of the local surface temperature caused by the partial action of the EB.The prerequisites for droplet oscillation include vacuum conditions,high power densities,and bypass wire feeding processes.The proposed EB–dynamic surrounding melting(DSM)method can be applied to conveniently and effectively suppress oscillations,enable the accurate transfer of droplets to the molten pool,and achieve stable processes for preparing the strut elements of lattice structures.Lowering the temperature and improving the uniformity of its distribution are the mechanisms of oscillation suppression in EB–DSM.In this study,the physical basis for interpreting the mechanism by which EBs act on droplets and the technical basis for using EB–DED to prepare complex lattice structure parts are provided. 展开更多

Maltose-pendant polymer/mica nanocomposites were prepared by a solution intercalation method. For organic composite part, 1) maltose-pendant polymer (homopolymer) and 2) the copolymer of maltose-pendant monomer and a small amount of N,N-Dimethylamino propylacrylamide, methyl chloride quartenary were used. The morphological studies (XRD and FE-SEM) revealed that the hybrid of maltose-pendant polymer was a conventional phase separated composite. On the other hand, the hybrid using the copolymer exhibited exfoliated structure. Both the conventional composite of maltose-pendant polymer and the nanocomposite of copolymer were applied to a coating material for oxygen gas barrier layer on a nylon-6 film, and oxygen transmission rates of the films were evaluated. Maltose-pendant polymer had a good oxygen barrier property under dry condition, and the barrier property under wet condition was improved by the hybridization with mica. In contrast, the barrier property of copolymer was slightly inferior to that of maltosependant polymer. However, under dry condition, it can be seen that the nanocomposite of copolymer improves the barrier property more effectively than the case of conventional composite of maltose-pendant polymer. 展开更多

Background:Reviewing historical evidence in the various schools of traditional medicine shows that numerous methods have been used to maintain human good health and treatment of diseases.Persian medicine(PM)scholars have been employed different methods to prescribe medications,which can be classified into two main groups:internal uses,including oral,parenteral,and anal,and also external uses such as topical,transdermal,and applying pendants.In this study,we aim to introduce some of the therapeutic pendants.Methods:We reviewed the most famous PM textbooks and current evidence in relevant databases such as PubMed,Science Direct,Scopus,Google scholar and SID related to the topic.Results:In this study,about 100 traditional therapeutic substances were found and finally,thirty-two of them were represented.They were often stones,and some of them were other materials such as metals,gums,and herbs.According to the PM,the utilization of pendants,in addition to cosmetic purposes,has been considered to maintain the health and treatment of some diseases.Therapeutic pendants can be considered as a kind of external medication use in which therapeutic materials are hung on the body surface.The external use of pendants could have curative effects with their close contact to the body surface.Conclusion:Pendant therapy may probably be considered as a non-invasive and easy-to-use treatment with unnoticeable side effects that can be utilized along with other therapies. 展开更多

A series of new macrocyclic dioxo 13 aneN 4 bearing various functional pendants, 2 methylfuran (LF), 2 methylthiophene (LT), 2 methylpyridine (LP), have been synthesized and characterized, where dioxo 13 aneN 4 is 1,4,7,10 tetraazacyclotridecane 11,13 dione. The solution behaviours of the nickel(Ⅱ) complexes have been studied by Uv vis, cyclic voltammetric techniques. The red shifts were observed for the absorption band maxima of the electronic spectra from NiLR 1 to NiLR 2 (R=2 methylfuran, 2 methylthiophene, 2 methylpyridine). The value of E 1/2 of the NiLR 2 is less than NiLR 1 and both of them are lower than that of the nickel(Ⅱ) complex of the unsubstituted ligand, and these reasons are discussed. 展开更多

Testing Oil-Brine and Polymer-Silica IFT with Pendant Drop(Rising Bubble)Method

This paper examines how polymer-coated nanoparticles(PNPs)affect interfacial tension(IFT)and their possible use in oil recovery(EOR).In particular,the paper investigates how the IFT between brine and dead oil can be lowered with the help of PNPs prepared with Arabic gum and silica nanoparticles at different temperatures and salinity.IFT was measured at pressures of 25 to 1900 psi and temperatures varying between 25℃and 55℃using the pendant drop technique.They demonstrate a continuous decline of IFT with temperature(the highest observed one is at 55℃).Furthermore,elevated salinity(NaCl)resulted in reduced IFT,but it resulted more at high concentrations.High IFT further was reduced by the presence of silica nanoparticles and Arabic gum with the largest IFT reduction of about 46%potentially occurring in the brine-oil system with nanoparticles.These results indicate that PNPs may provide an attractive solution to enhancing EOR due to their ability to lower IFT,improve the efficiency of oil displacement transport in more difficult reservoirs.The research prepares the ground of additional studies regarding the use of nanotechnology in EOR processes. 展开更多

Hollow porcelain insulators in substations are frequently confronted with rain flashovers under extreme rainfall.This study aims to investigate the spatial and temporal variation of electric fields between hollow porcelain insulator sheds affected by dynamic deformation of pendant water drops and effects of the dimensionless number of fluids,the Weber number(We)and the electric Bond number(BoE),on it for influencing factors'analysis.Flow‐electric field coupling simulations were carried out to compute the magnitude and the position of AC electric fields between the sheds.The results show that the maximum electric field at a point in time(Etmax)increases significantly after the breakup of the pendant water drop,and its position alters accordingly.For low We and BoE,the global maximum electric field(Egmax)increases with increasing We and BoE,respectively.It is much closer to the adjacent sheds and occurs later than Etmax at the breakup of the pendant water drop(Ebmax).By contrast,Egmax decreases in different degrees at high We and BoE,respectively.There is little difference between Egmax and Ebmax in the position and the occurring time.The influence mechanism on the maximum electric field and discharges and the relationship between discharges induced by the pendant water drop and rain flashover are discussed. 展开更多

目的探讨沙漠干燥环境下中药香佩疗法对病区空气质量及住院患者上呼吸道感染的干预效能,为该特殊环境下病区感染防控体系的优化提供循证依据与实践方案。方法选取某沙漠地区医院8个临床病区作为研究对象,采用随机数字表法分为干预组与... 目的探讨沙漠干燥环境下中药香佩疗法对病区空气质量及住院患者上呼吸道感染的干预效能,为该特殊环境下病区感染防控体系的优化提供循证依据与实践方案。方法选取某沙漠地区医院8个临床病区作为研究对象,采用随机数字表法分为干预组与对照组,每组各4个病区。对照组实施常规病区环境管理措施,干预组在常规管理基础上联合应用中药香佩疗法。干预周期设定为3个月,比较两组病区干预前后空气质量核心指标(PM2.5、PM10浓度及空气细菌总数)的动态变化,以及住院患者上呼吸道感染发病率、感染症状持续时间等结局指标的差异。结果干预后,干预组病区PM2.5、PM10浓度及空气细菌总数均显著低于对照组(P<0.05);干预组住院患者上呼吸道感染发病率为6.25%,显著低于对照组的15.63%(χ^(2)=6.82,P<0.05);干预组感染患者的症状持续时间为(3.12±0.85)d,显著短于对照组的(5.36±1.21)d(t=4.57,P<0.05)。结论研究表明,在沙漠干燥环境下,中药香佩疗法可有效改善病区空气质量,显著降低住院患者上呼吸道感染发病率并缩短感染症状持续时间,具备良好的临床应用前景与推广价值。 展开更多

This light green jade pendant, measuring 48 cm, was unearthed at the Zenghouyi tomb. It was made from five pieces of jade which were carved into ornamental shapes, including a dragon, a phoenix, a bi(a round flat piece of jade with a hole in the center), and rings. Three slip-hoops are fashioned into an ellipse. A single jade nail connects the pieces to a pendant which can be folded or taken apart. Some designs often were carved either on one side or both sides of these ornaments. On this piece are found 37 styles of dragons, seven kinds of phoenixes and ten snakes, done by drill-carving, carving on the surface or in intagolio. Also on the pendant is a picture titled "The Claws of the Phoenixes Grasp the Snakes." 展开更多

To measure contact angle between CO2 and solid surface, in this study a visual high-pressure vessel has been developed, with a corresponding well-controlled constant temperature system. Pendant drop method is applied to the investigation of the contact angles of CO2 on a stainless steel surface in its own vapor. The image of the pendant drop is recorded by a camera, and a B-Snake method is used to analyze the contour and the contact angle of the droplet. The experimental results have provided a set of well tested data, which show that CO2 has good infiltration into stainless steel surface and the de- veloped method can be used as a standard testing one for measuring the contact angle between high-pressure liquid and solid surface. 展开更多
