To improve the efficiency and precision of our pharmacy consultation services,we adopted a"1+X"model based on the PDCA(Plan-Do-Check-Act)cycle.In the initial analysis,we identified factors contributing to su...To improve the efficiency and precision of our pharmacy consultation services,we adopted a"1+X"model based on the PDCA(Plan-Do-Check-Act)cycle.In the initial analysis,we identified factors contributing to suboptimal consultation efficiency.Our approach included a thorough examination of our pharmacy consultation system,encompassing personnel training,consultation promotion,and the refinement of the consultation process.A standardized pharmacy consultation model was devised and continually refined,with a primary focus on infectious diseases.Subsequently,the model expanded to include various medical specialties,fostering multi-disciplinary participation.Since the implementation of the"1+X"pharmacy consultation model,spanning from 2017 to 2022,consultation numbers exhibited a consistent annual growth exceeding 50%.In 2022 alone,5044 pharmaceutical consultations were conducted,encompassing 3007 standard consultations and 96 expanded consultations across diverse departments such as neurosurgery and neurology.The adoption rate of consultation recommendations reached 89.2%,while the effectiveness of consultation treatments stood at an impressive 76.4%.This success underscored the impact of the"1+X"pharmacy consultation model on enhancing consultation outcomes.Collectively,our model,rooted in the PDCA cycle,not only served as a practical blueprint for pharmacy consultation systems in medical institutions but also provided valuable insights and a robust framework for the professional development and training of clinical pharmacists.展开更多

The study group adopted PDCA circulation method for dispensing, while the control group adopted routine management. The internal difference events of two groups were compared. Results: the total incidence of internal difference events in the study group (0.37%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (0.63%), (P < 0.05). Methods: according to the internship time, 72 clinical interns in our department were divided into two groups: the control group (internship time: July 2020 to December 2020) and the observation group (internship time: January 2021 to June 2021), 36 in each of the two groups. The clinical interns in the two groups received routine instruction and PDCA circulation method instruction respectively. The results of the clinical interns in the two groups, their autonomous learning ability and their satisfaction with the instructors were compared and analyzed. Results: compared with the control students, the students in the observation group had significantly higher scores in theoretical knowledge and practical operation (P<0.05), significantly higher scores in self-study ability, target learning ability, problem learning ability and metacognitive ability (P<0.05), and significantly higher scores in professional knowledge, teaching methods, teaching attitude, communication and feedback satisfaction of teachers (P<0.05). The control group used the traditional one-to-one teaching method, while the observation group used the PDCA cycle method to teach, and the two groups were evaluated by the methods of theoretical evaluation, skill operation evaluation and emergency ability evaluation. Results: the results of the three examinations of the nurses in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Methods: a total of 40 patients undergoing craniotomy and clipping for intracranial aneurysms admitted to the first Ward of neurosurgery department of Xingyi People's Hospital from February 2019 to February 2021 were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 20 cases in each group. PDCA management cycle perioperative nursing plan was adopted in the experimental group, and routine perioperative nursing plan was adopted in the control group. Results: the scores of physical indicators of the experimental group were significantly better than the control group, the average length of hospital stay was shorter, the cost of hospitalization was the least, the incidence of adverse reactions of patients was lower than the control group, psychological feeling and nursing satisfaction score was higher. Conclusion: PDCA circulation management mode is used in the perioperative period of craniotomy and clipping for intracranial aneurysms. It is particularly necessary to formulate a standardized and safe working process to ensure the safety of nursing, which is conducive to better rehabilitation of patients and improve the quality of life of patients.展开更多
To improve the efficiency and correctness of the review,we aimed to continuously improve the review strategy of parenteral nutrition(PN)prescriptions.A calculation formula(CF)and an electronic prescription reviewing s...To improve the efficiency and correctness of the review,we aimed to continuously improve the review strategy of parenteral nutrition(PN)prescriptions.A calculation formula(CF)and an electronic prescription reviewing system(EPRS)were designed to improve efficiency.The improvements were divided into three periods:pre-improvement,improvement period-1(CF was used),and improvement period-2(EPRS-CF was used).A retrospective analysis for inpatients receiving PN support from January to May 2019,June to October 2019,and June to October 2020,was conducted to evaluate the defect and efficiency of the PN prescription review.Compared with the pre-improvement period,the efficiency of the PN prescription review in the CF period was improved.In addition,in the EPRS-CF period,the efficiency and correctness of the PN prescription review were remarkably increased(P<0.01).Moreover,through the verification of PN prescriptions in the EPRS-CF period,pharmacists improved the efficiency and correctness of the PN prescription review.Besides,the PDCA(plan-do-check-act)circulation method could help improve the PN reviewing process in the future.展开更多
