Objective:To study the effectiveness of the PDCA cycle model in the nursing management of the disinfection supply room.Method:From March 2022 to February 2024,the hospital adopted the PDCA cycle model to manage the re...Objective:To study the effectiveness of the PDCA cycle model in the nursing management of the disinfection supply room.Method:From March 2022 to February 2024,the hospital adopted the PDCA cycle model to manage the related work of the disinfection supply room.In this study,40 nursing staff were selected as the research subjects.Sixty-five sets of data generated during the implementation of the PDCA model were selected,and 65 sets of similar data before the implementation were also selected.The relevant data information was compared and evaluated to understand the changes in work before and after the implementation of the PDCA cycle model management.Meanwhile,twenty departments in the hospital were selected to investigate the satisfaction before and after the implementation of the PDCA cycle model management.Result:After the implementation of the PDCA cycle model,the completion rates of various tasks were improved,and there was a significant difference compared with those before the implementation(P<0.05).The work quality of each working link has also been improved since the implementation.Compared with that before the implementation of the PDCA cycle model,there are significant changes(P<0.05).It can be learned from the comparison of satisfaction among various departments that the satisfaction of departments has improved after the implementation of PDCA,and there is a significant difference compared with that before the implementation(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of the PDCA cycle model in the nursing management of the disinfection supply room can effectively improve the working conditions of the disinfection supply room and provide a basic guarantee for hospital treatment.Therefore,the PDCA cycle management model can be actively adopted in the actual work management.展开更多
To improve the efficiency and precision of our pharmacy consultation services,we adopted a"1+X"model based on the PDCA(Plan-Do-Check-Act)cycle.In the initial analysis,we identified factors contributing to su...To improve the efficiency and precision of our pharmacy consultation services,we adopted a"1+X"model based on the PDCA(Plan-Do-Check-Act)cycle.In the initial analysis,we identified factors contributing to suboptimal consultation efficiency.Our approach included a thorough examination of our pharmacy consultation system,encompassing personnel training,consultation promotion,and the refinement of the consultation process.A standardized pharmacy consultation model was devised and continually refined,with a primary focus on infectious diseases.Subsequently,the model expanded to include various medical specialties,fostering multi-disciplinary participation.Since the implementation of the"1+X"pharmacy consultation model,spanning from 2017 to 2022,consultation numbers exhibited a consistent annual growth exceeding 50%.In 2022 alone,5044 pharmaceutical consultations were conducted,encompassing 3007 standard consultations and 96 expanded consultations across diverse departments such as neurosurgery and neurology.The adoption rate of consultation recommendations reached 89.2%,while the effectiveness of consultation treatments stood at an impressive 76.4%.This success underscored the impact of the"1+X"pharmacy consultation model on enhancing consultation outcomes.Collectively,our model,rooted in the PDCA cycle,not only served as a practical blueprint for pharmacy consultation systems in medical institutions but also provided valuable insights and a robust framework for the professional development and training of clinical pharmacists.展开更多

Methods: 104 patients who underwent thoracoscopic lung cancer radical surgery in our hospital from June 2022 to February 2023 were randomly divided into control group and intervention group, with 52 cases in each group. The control group implemented evidence-based ERAS clinical pathway management, while the intervention group implemented evidence-based PDCA cycle quality management. The postoperative recovery of the two groups of patients was compared. Results: The postoperative recovery of the intervention group was significantly better than that of the control group. The first time to get out of bed, the first time to eat, the duration of chest drainage tube placement, and the length of hospital stay were significantly shorter than those of the control group. Objective:To explore the effect of applying the Plan-Do-Check-Act(PDCA)cycle combined with instrument mapping to manage surgical instruments in a hospital sterilization supply center.Methods:A total of 600 surgical in...Objective:To explore the effect of applying the Plan-Do-Check-Act(PDCA)cycle combined with instrument mapping to manage surgical instruments in a hospital sterilization supply center.Methods:A total of 600 surgical instruments in a hospital’s surgical instrument sterilization and supply management center were sampled and grouped based on the introduction of the PDCA cycle combined with instrument mapping.The control group included 300 surgical instruments subject to routine sterilization management from November 2023 to January 2024.The observation group included 300 surgical instruments managed with the PDCA cycle combined with instrument mapping from February 2024 to April 2024.The quality of surgical instrument management,incidence of adverse events,and other indicators were compared between the two groups.Results:The observation group demonstrated significantly higher scores in management quality indices compared to the control group,with scores for disassembly and assembly(93.28±1.57 vs.87.41±1.48),cleaning(95.04±2.08 vs.90.23±2.12),disinfection and sterilization(95.33±1.27 vs.91.95±1.39),waste disposal(93.26±1.24 vs.89.65±1.18),packaging and traceability(94.35±1.74 vs.92.23±1.65),and issuance and recycling(95.79±1.72 vs.90.22±1.81)(all P<0.05).The observation group reported two adverse events(one incomplete instrument specification and one case of instrument package overweight)with an incidence rate of 0.67%.Conversely,the control group reported six adverse events(including shortages,incomplete specifications,unqualified sterilization,defective instruments,untimely or incorrect delivery,and overweight instrument packages)with an incidence rate of 3%,demonstrating statistically significant differences between groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Applying the PDCA cycle combined with instrument mapping for surgical instrument management in hospital sterilization supply centers significantly improves management quality and reduces adverse events.Its application is recommended for wider adoption in hospital sterilization supply centers.展开更多

According to the two-color ball method, regular nurses were divided into two groups (reference group and research group) with 250 cases in each group. The reference group received routine training management while the research group received PDCA circular management mode. Observe the effects of different management modes on clinical skills training. Results: comparing the scores of theoretical knowledge assessment between the two groups after training, the research group is better than the reference group (P < 0.05);comparing the scores of clinical nursing skills assessment between the two groups after training, the study group is better than the reference group (P < 0.05);comparing the two groups satisfaction with training methods, the research group is higher than the reference group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: the application of PDCA circulation management mode in the training of clinical skills of regular nurses has a very ideal effect which can effectively improve their clinical practice skills, make them master theoretical knowledge more solidly and improve their professional quality, so that they can better adapt to post work. From June, 2020 to June, 2021, 42 cases of PDCA cycle in nursing management of disinfection supply room in our hospital were selected as observation group. We should not only compare the nursing scores of each index of the two groups of supply rooms, but also compare the satisfaction of medical staff. Results: the disinfection quality of the observation group was 94.9+3.2, the packaging quality was 91.9+3.1, the environmental quality was 94.8+1.5, and the instrument management was 96.9+4.2, while that of the control group was 86.9+3.9, the packaging quality was 88.6+4.1, the environmental quality was 86.8+1.2 and the instrument management was 86.9+4.2. It can be seen that the disinfection quality, packaging quality, environmental management and equipment management in the observation group are significantly higher than those in the control group, P<0.05. The satisfaction rate of medical staff in the observation group was 95.24%(40 cases) and the dissatisfaction rate was 4.76%(2 cases), while the satisfaction rate of medical staff in the control group was not 83.33%(35 cases) and the dissatisfaction rate was 6.67%(7 cases). The satisfaction rate of medical staff in the observation group was better than that in the control group. It can be seen that the nursing scores of each index in the supply room of the observation group are better than those of the control group, and the satisfaction of medical staff is also higher than that of the control group. Conclusion: in the nursing management of disinfection supply room, the application of PDCA cycle mode can not only improve the nursing scores of each index in the supply room, but also improve the satisfaction of medical staff, and timely adjust the deficiencies in management.展开更多

Results: the number of patients scored on the pharmacy management quality, satisfaction, quality of life and withdrawal status was significantly higher than the patients in the comparison group, and the chance of drug dispensing errors and withdrawal in the management group was significantly lower, and the groups were quite different (P <0.05). 文摘To improve the efficiency and precision of our pharmacy consultation services,we adopted a"1+X"model based on the PDCA(Plan-Do-Check-Act)cycle.In the initial analysis,we identified factors contributing to suboptimal consultation efficiency.Our approach included a thorough examination of our pharmacy consultation system,encompassing personnel training,consultation promotion,and the refinement of the consultation process.A standardized pharmacy consultation model was devised and continually refined,with a primary focus on infectious diseases.Subsequently,the model expanded to include various medical specialties,fostering multi-disciplinary participation.Since the implementation of the"1+X"pharmacy consultation model,spanning from 2017 to 2022,consultation numbers exhibited a consistent annual growth exceeding 50%.In 2022 alone,5044 pharmaceutical consultations were conducted,encompassing 3007 standard consultations and 96 expanded consultations across diverse departments such as neurosurgery and neurology.The adoption rate of consultation recommendations reached 89.2%,while the effectiveness of consultation treatments stood at an impressive 76.4%.This success underscored the impact of the"1+X"pharmacy consultation model on enhancing consultation outcomes.Collectively,our model,rooted in the PDCA cycle,not only served as a practical blueprint for pharmacy consultation systems in medical institutions but also provided valuable insights and a robust framework for the professional development and training of clinical pharmacists.
文摘Objective: To explore the nursing effect of evidence-based PDCA cycle management mode in accelerated rehabilitation of patients undergoing thoracoscopic lung cancer radical surgery. Methods: 104 patients who underwent thoracoscopic lung cancer radical surgery in our hospital from June 2022 to February 2023 were randomly divided into control group and intervention group, with 52 cases in each group. The control group implemented evidence-based ERAS clinical pathway management, while the intervention group implemented evidence-based PDCA cycle quality management. The postoperative recovery of the two groups of patients was compared. Results: The postoperative recovery of the intervention group was significantly better than that of the control group. The first time to get out of bed, the first time to eat, the duration of chest drainage tube placement, and the length of hospital stay were significantly shorter than those of the control group. The incidence of postoperative chest complications and hospitalization costs were significantly lower than those of the control group, and patient satisfaction was significantly higher than that of the control group (P Conclusion: Evidence-based PDCA cycle quality management mode can effectively improve the implementation quality of accelerated rehabilitation nursing for patients undergoing thoracoscopic lung cancer radical surgery, and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
文摘Objective:To explore the effect of applying the Plan-Do-Check-Act(PDCA)cycle combined with instrument mapping to manage surgical instruments in a hospital sterilization supply center.Methods:A total of 600 surgical instruments in a hospital’s surgical instrument sterilization and supply management center were sampled and grouped based on the introduction of the PDCA cycle combined with instrument mapping.The control group included 300 surgical instruments subject to routine sterilization management from November 2023 to January 2024.The observation group included 300 surgical instruments managed with the PDCA cycle combined with instrument mapping from February 2024 to April 2024.The quality of surgical instrument management,incidence of adverse events,and other indicators were compared between the two groups.Results:The observation group demonstrated significantly higher scores in management quality indices compared to the control group,with scores for disassembly and assembly(93.28±1.57 vs.87.41±1.48),cleaning(95.04±2.08 vs.90.23±2.12),disinfection and sterilization(95.33±1.27 vs.91.95±1.39),waste disposal(93.26±1.24 vs.89.65±1.18),packaging and traceability(94.35±1.74 vs.92.23±1.65),and issuance and recycling(95.79±1.72 vs.90.22±1.81)(all P<0.05).The observation group reported two adverse events(one incomplete instrument specification and one case of instrument package overweight)with an incidence rate of 0.67%.Conversely,the control group reported six adverse events(including shortages,incomplete specifications,unqualified sterilization,defective instruments,untimely or incorrect delivery,and overweight instrument packages)with an incidence rate of 3%,demonstrating statistically significant differences between groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Applying the PDCA cycle combined with instrument mapping for surgical instrument management in hospital sterilization supply centers significantly improves management quality and reduces adverse events.Its application is recommended for wider adoption in hospital sterilization supply centers.

文摘Objective:To study the application effect of the plan-do-check-act(PDCA)cycle management in the hand hygiene management of psychiatric medical staff.Methods:One hundred and twenty medical staff from a psychiatric hospital from May 2023 to December 2023 were selected and divided into two groups.The control group(May 2023 to August 2023)applied the conventional management model,and the observation group(September 2023 to December 2023)applied the PDCA cycle management.The hand hygiene compliance,hand hygiene knowledge,and hygiene qualifications were compared,including the amount of hand sanitizer used.Results:The proportion of medical staff’s hand hygiene compliance and hand hygiene knowledge mastery scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);the hand hygiene passing rate in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);the daily amount of hand sanitizer per patient bed and the amount of hand sanitizer used was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The PDCA cycle management model for psychiatric medical staff promoted the improvement of hand hygiene compliance and increased their hand hygiene qualifications.It is suitable for further popularization and application in future clinical practice.
文摘Objective:To explore the application and effectiveness of PDCA cycle management in outpatient blood collection room management.Methods:A total of 80 patients in the outpatient blood collection room of the hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 40 patients in each group.The control group implemented conventional nursing management,while the observation group implemented PDCA cycle management on top of routine care.Blood collection outcomes,the incidence of disputes,adverse reactions,blood collection waiting times,nursing quality,and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:The observation group showed significantly better blood collection outcomes compared to the control group,with a higher success rate of venipuncture(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was notably lower than in the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the observation group exhibited shorter blood collection waiting times,higher nursing quality scores,and greater patient satisfaction,with all differences showing high statistical significance(P<0.001).Conclusion:The application of PDCA cycle management in the outpatient blood collection room demonstrated remarkable effectiveness.By leveraging the cycle of planning,execution,checking,and action,it optimized blood collection processes,improved efficiency and service quality,and enhanced patient satisfaction,making it highly worthy of clinical promotion and application.
文摘Objective: to analyze the application value of PDCA circulation management method in the completion rate of scientific research projects in Xuzhou Medical University. Methods: routine management was applied to 48 municipal scientific research projects approved by Xuzhou Medical University in 2017 and PDCA cycle management was applied to 43 municipal scientific research projects approved in 2018. The completion rates of scientific research projects before and after management were compared. Results: after using different management methods in the management of scientific research projects in two time periods, the completion rate of scientific research projects under PDCA cycle management was higher than that under conventional management. Conclusion: in the management of scientific research projects in Xuzhou Medical University, PDCA cycle management can achieve better management effect, can effectively improve the completion rate of scientific research projects, and is worth vigorously promoting in the management of scientific research projects.
文摘Objective: to explore and analyze the role of PDCA circulation management mode in clinical skill training of regular nurses. Methods: from May 2017 to May 2022, 500 regular nurses who received clinical skills training in our hospital were selected as the research objects. According to the two-color ball method, regular nurses were divided into two groups (reference group and research group) with 250 cases in each group. The reference group received routine training management while the research group received PDCA circular management mode. Observe the effects of different management modes on clinical skills training. Results: comparing the scores of theoretical knowledge assessment between the two groups after training, the research group is better than the reference group (P < 0.05);comparing the scores of clinical nursing skills assessment between the two groups after training, the study group is better than the reference group (P < 0.05);comparing the two groups satisfaction with training methods, the research group is higher than the reference group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: the application of PDCA circulation management mode in the training of clinical skills of regular nurses has a very ideal effect which can effectively improve their clinical practice skills, make them master theoretical knowledge more solidly and improve their professional quality, so that they can better adapt to post work. At the same time, nurses have a higher acceptance of this management mode which can better accept cooperation, stimulate their enthusiasm for learning and make them more recognized for teaching methods.
文摘Objective: to explore the influence of PDCA cycle on the quality of risk management and nursing management in neonatology. Methods: 84 neonatal patients admitted from January 2019 to December 2019 were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into control group (n=42) and observation group (n=42) according to different nursing methods. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received PDCA circulation nursing. After one month of care, the quality of patient risk management was compared with the nurse's skill practices. Results: the scores of environmental management, infection control and emergency supplies management in observation group were higher than those in control group (P < 0.05). The specific operation, writing and professional knowledge of nurses in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After the implementation of cycle management, the satisfaction scores of the children's families to the nursing staff in the observation group were higher than those in the control group. Conclusion: the application of PDCA circulation nursing in the quality of risk management of neonatal care can effectively improve the quality of nursing.
文摘Objective: to analyze the application of PDCA cycle in nursing management of disinfection supply room. Methods: from March, 2019 to March, 2020, 42 cases of nursing management of disinfection supply room in our hospital were selected as the control group. From June, 2020 to June, 2021, 42 cases of PDCA cycle in nursing management of disinfection supply room in our hospital were selected as observation group. We should not only compare the nursing scores of each index of the two groups of supply rooms, but also compare the satisfaction of medical staff. Results: the disinfection quality of the observation group was 94.9+3.2, the packaging quality was 91.9+3.1, the environmental quality was 94.8+1.5, and the instrument management was 96.9+4.2, while that of the control group was 86.9+3.9, the packaging quality was 88.6+4.1, the environmental quality was 86.8+1.2 and the instrument management was 86.9+4.2. It can be seen that the disinfection quality, packaging quality, environmental management and equipment management in the observation group are significantly higher than those in the control group, P<0.05. The satisfaction rate of medical staff in the observation group was 95.24%(40 cases) and the dissatisfaction rate was 4.76%(2 cases), while the satisfaction rate of medical staff in the control group was not 83.33%(35 cases) and the dissatisfaction rate was 6.67%(7 cases). The satisfaction rate of medical staff in the observation group was better than that in the control group. It can be seen that the nursing scores of each index in the supply room of the observation group are better than those of the control group, and the satisfaction of medical staff is also higher than that of the control group. Conclusion: in the nursing management of disinfection supply room, the application of PDCA cycle mode can not only improve the nursing scores of each index in the supply room, but also improve the satisfaction of medical staff, and timely adjust the deficiencies in management.

文摘Objective: to explore the application effect of PDCA circulation method in ICU nursing training. Methods: 36 regular nurses were selected as the research object and divided into the observation group and the control group. The control group used the traditional one-to-one teaching method, while the observation group used the PDCA cycle method to teach, and the two groups were evaluated by the methods of theoretical evaluation, skill operation evaluation and emergency ability evaluation. Results: the results of the three examinations of the nurses in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: PDCA in ICU nursing training can make the training nurses adapt to the working mode of ICU in a short time, improve the working ability of combining theory with practice, mobilize the learning enthusiasm, improve the professional level, and promote the improvement of teaching quality.
文摘Objective: to apply the PDCA cycle management mode to the pharmacy, and to analyze the actual effect and value of this mode to reduce drug dispensing errors. Methods: from January 2021, our pharmacy began to apply PDCA cycle mode to daily management, taking 40 patients treated in the outpatient pharmacy from 2020 to January 2021 as the comparison group for routine management, and 40 patients admitted from 2021 to January 2022 were treated as the analysis group to carry out PDCA cycle management. The drug management quality, the probability of drug dispensing errors, the patient satisfaction, and the quality of life of the two groups were recorded, and the final data results were compared and analyzed. Results: the number of patients scored on the pharmacy management quality, satisfaction, quality of life and withdrawal status was significantly higher than the patients in the comparison group, and the chance of drug dispensing errors and withdrawal in the management group was significantly lower, and the groups were quite different (P <0.05). Conclusion: the application of PDCA circulation mode in outpatient drug management is conducive to the improvement of drug management quality and the reduction of dispensing error probability, which should be further promoted clinically.
文摘Objective: this paper mainly analyzed the influence of PDCA cycle management mode on health compliance of outpatient nurses, drew relevant conclusions, and verified the specific role of PDCA cycle. Methods: 20 nurses in the outpatient department of our hospital were selected as the objects of this study to analyze the awareness of the importance of hand washing before and after the control of PDCA cycle, and relevant conclusions were drawn by questionnaire. Results: after adopting PDCA cycle, the qualified rate of nurses' hand washing was significantly improved, and the mastery of seven-step washing technique was significantly improved. Conclusion: PDCA cycle management mode has a significant impact on hand hygiene compliance of outpatient nurses, which greatly improves the cognition of outpatient nurses. Under the background of new influenza, reasonable management and control is of key significance. All major hospitals should focus on improving the management and control mode and have a correct cognition of PDCA cycle.

文摘The study was to analyze the application of PDCA cycle in the clinical teaching of respiratory department during the outbreak of COVID-19.The teaching content focused on the prevention,control,diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.Methods:Thirty clinical interns who entered the Department of Respiratory Medicine in our hospital from June 2020 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects and were randomly divided into two groups.The control group adopted traditional teaching methods and the experimental group adopted PDCA cycle.The teaching effect of the two group was compared.Results:The experimental group that used the PDCA cycle method had significantly higher theoretical knowledge,treatment skills,and comprehensive quality evaluation of COVID-19 than the traditional teaching method of the control group.Conclusion:The application of the PDCA cycle method in clinical teaching activities can improve the teaching process during the outbreak of COVID-19 and help improve the overall quality of clinical interns.

文摘Objective: to analyze and discuss the application effect of PDCA circulation management in promoting standardized management of hospital archives. Methods: 150 middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases from January 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the observation group, and 150 middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic diseases from January 2020 to December 2020 were selected as the control group. The application effect was compared and analyzed. Results: after the PDCA circulation management model was carried out in the observation group, the filing rate of hospital documents in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the occurrence rate of disputes was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Moreover, our hospital has obviously improved its office software and hardware, as well as its work efficiency and filing efficiency, which has significantly improved the quality of our hospital's archives management. Conclusion: PDCA circulation management has obvious promotion effect on the standardized management of hospital archives, and its application effect is obvious, which can significantly improve the level of hospital archives management.
文摘Objective:To explore and analyze the effect of the plan-do-check-act(PDCA)cycle method in the nursing management of head nurses.Methods:68 patients who were hospitalized in the general surgery department were used as research subjects.The patients were divided into an experimental group and a reference group,with 34 cases in each group,by drawing lots.The experimental group was managed with the PDCA method.The management satisfaction,nursing quality score,and nursing effect of both groups were compared with each other.Results:The patients in the experimental group were generally more satisfied with the nursing services compared to the reference group(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the nursing quality scores such as ward safety management,nursing risk management,nursing document writing,rescue equipment management,and head nurse administrative management between the two groups.After the intervention,the experimental group had higher nursing quality scores.Furthermore,the nursing effects such as disease education,quality control,safety management,humanistic care,and service attitude in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of the PDCA method in nursing management can improve management satisfaction,nursing quality,and nursing effect.
