As important tumor suppressor genes, PCDH17 and CDH13 are expressed in different degrees in various systems of human body, such as urinary system, nervous system, digestive system and immune system, and play an important role in controlling and regulating many biological behaviors such as growth, differentiation and migration of normal cells. In recent years, studies have found that PCDH17 and CDH13 regulate many biological behaviors such as growth, invasion and prognosis of various urinary tumors through abnormal promoter methylation. This article will focus on the role of promoter methylation of PCDH17 and CDH13 in several common tumors of urinary system, and discuss how PCDH17 and CDH13 participate in the control of malignant biological behavior of urinary system tumors, and provide new ideas and enlightenment for early diagnosis, assessment of prognosis and treatment of tumors.展开更多
