The aim of this study is to evaluate the uncertainty of 2πα and 2πβ surface emission rates using the windowless multiwire proportional counter method.This study used the Monte Carlo method (MCM) to validate the conventional Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM) method.A dead time measurement model for the two-source method was established based on the characteristics of a single-channel measurement system,and the voltage threshold correction factor measurement function was indirectly obtained by fitting the threshold correction curve.The uncertainty in the surface emission rate was calculated using the GUM method and the law of propagation of uncertainty.The MCM provided clear definitions for each input quantity and its uncertainty distribution,and the simulation training was realized with a complete and complex mathematical model.The results of the surface emission rate uncertainty evaluation for four radioactive plane sources using both methods showed the uncertainty’s consistency E_(n)<0.070 for the comparison of each source,and the uncertainty results of the GUM were all lower than those of the MCM.However,the MCM has a more objective evaluation process and can serve as a validation tool for GUM results. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the effect of King’s Theory of Goal Attainment combined with teach-back method on improving the standardization rate of eye drop use in patients.Methods:A total of 200 patients who used more than two types of eye drops in the Department of Ophthalmology of our hospital were selected as the research subjects,and were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group.The control group was given routine health education,while the observation group was given King’s Theory of Goal Attainment combined with teach-back method on the basis of the control group.The standardization rate of eye drop use,knowledge awareness rate,and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention.Results:After the intervention,the standardization rate of eye drop use,the awareness rate of eye drop knowledge,and the nursing satisfaction of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:King’s Theory of Goal Attainment combined with teach-back method can effectively improve the standardization rate of eye drop use in patients,increase their awareness of eye drop knowledge,and improve nursing satisfaction,which is worthy of clinical application. 展开更多

Nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))and particulate matter(PM)present significant risks to both human health and environmental sustainability.The Integrated Dust Removal and Denitrification Technology(DRDt)offers a more efficient and cost-effective solution for achieving ultralow industrial flue gas emissions;however,its effectiveness is undermined by low catalyst load rates and poor stability in filter materials.This study addresses these limitations by modifying conventional PTFE filter media(PTFE-Tim)through the incorporation of sodium alginate(SA)and dopamine(DA)as modifiers,resulting in two new filter materials:PTFE-SA-MOF and PTFE-DA-MOF.By optimizing the parameters of an orthogonal experimental design,we identified the ideal preparation conditions for these composite materials.The addition of SA and DA enhanced the bonding between the catalyst(Mn-Cu-MOF)crystal particles and the PTFE fibers through mechanisms such as ion exchange,hydrogen bonding,and adhesion.Consequently,the catalyst loading rate and stability of the DRDt filters were significantly improved.Specifically,the PTFE-SA-MOF and PTFE-DA-MOF filters achieved high catalyst loading rates of 15.97% and 15.86%,these values represent improvements of 2.53 and 2.51 times,while maintaining excellent stability,with mass retention rates of 98.64% and 98.27%,respectively,over the conventional PTFE-Tim filter. 展开更多

In this work, we first derive the one-point large deviations principle (LDP) for both the stochastic Cahn–Hilliard equation with small noise and its spatial finite difference method (FDM). Then, we focus on giving the convergence of the one-point large deviations rate function (LDRF) of the spatial FDM, which is about the asymptotical limit of a parametric variational problem. The main idea for proving the convergence of the LDRF of the spatial FDM is via the Γ-convergence of objective functions. This relies on the qualitative analysis of skeleton equations of the original equation and the numerical method. In order to overcome the difficulty that the drift coefficient is not one-sided Lipschitz continuous, we derive the equivalent characterization of the skeleton equation of the spatial FDM and the discrete interpolation inequality to obtain the uniform boundedness of the solution to the underlying skeleton equation. These play important roles in deriving the T-convergence of objective functions. 展开更多

Tungsten is considered the most promising plasma-facing material for fusion reactors with exceptional performance.Under certain conditions,activated tungsten dust can be generated through plasma–wall interactions and released into the atmosphere.Activated tungsten migrates downward in the soil after atmospheric deposition.However,effective methods for evaluating the environmental dose of gamma rays emitted by activated tungsten are still lacking.Consequently,a method for evaluating the air-absorbed dose rate of activated tungsten dust was proposed considering soil attenuation.Key parameters including the mass attenuation coefficient and energy absorption build-up factor were determined for the main gamma ray energies of radionuclides within the activated tungsten dust.Additionally,air-absorbed dose rates were calculated by assuming that radioactive sources were located at different soil depths and radii.It was found that a soil depth of 50 cm significantly attenuated the environmental dose by 99.9%,whereas the air-absorbed dose rates within the horizontal distance of 500 cm accounted for 91%of the total dose rate.Therefore,this study underscored the importance of soil attenuation in environmental dose assessments,which must be carefully re-examined for the safety analysis of fusion reactors. 展开更多

BACKGROUND A significant proportion of cancer patients experience autonomic dysfunction,and cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy can exacerbate impairments in the cardiac autonomic nervous system.This study sought to investigate the characteristics of heart rate variability(HRV)in individuals with cancer.AIM To evaluate the relationship between HRV and cancer patients,providing insights and references for cancer treatment.METHODS The study included 127 cancer patients with available 24-hour dynamic electrocardiogram data.HRV differences were analyzed using both time domain and frequency domain methods.These findings were then compared to HRV data from reference individuals,sourced from literature that utilized the same HRV computing algorithm.RESULTS Our findings revealed that cancer patients generally exhibited abnormal HRV compared to the reference group.HRV was found to be correlated with age and clinical type(P<0.05),but no significant correlation was observed with tumor site or gender(P>0.05).CONCLUSION This study indicates that cancer patients have significantly abnormal HRV compared to reference individuals,suggesting the presence of a certain level of cardiac autonomic dysfunction in this patient population. 展开更多

This study presents an in-depth investigation into the shear strength characteristics of unsaturated soils,focusing on the influenceof shear rate and initial water saturation(S_(r0)).Utilizing the drained-vented(DV)triaxial test method,the present study investigated the shear strength behavior of silty clay under various shear rates and water saturation levels,and compared the outcomes with traditional suction-controlled(SC)and constant water content(CW)tests.The findingshighlight the pivotal role of excess pore water pressure dissipation during shearing,which significantlyaffects the shear strength of both saturated and unsaturated soils.Notably,for soils with high initial water saturation,a decrease in shear strength is observed with an increase in shear rate,which is attributed to the rise in pore water pressure.Conversely,for soils with low initial water saturation,the shear rate exhibits minimal impact on shear strength due to negligible water drainage.The research delineates the optimal shear rates for DV tests based on the initial water saturation:a slower rate of 0.0028 mm/min for samples with high water saturation(S_(r0)>66%)and a faster rate of 0.8 mm/min for samples with low water saturation(S_(r0)≤66%).A novel testing methodology for determining unsaturated soil shear strength under DV conditions is introduced,streamlining the measurement process and significantly reducing testing time.This method not only promises substantial cost savings but also aligns closely with natural engineering conditions,offering valuable guidance for geotechnical applications. 展开更多

In this paper,an improved error-rate sliding window decoder is proposed for spatially coupled low-density parity-check(SC-LDPC)codes.For the conventional sliding window decoder,the message retention mechanism causes unreliable messages along the edges of belief propagation(BP)decoding in the current window to be kept for subsequent window decoding.To improve the reliability of the retained messages during the window transition,a reliable termination method is embedded,where the retained messages undergo more reliable parity checks.Additionally,decoding failure is unavoidable and even causes error propagation when the number of errors exceeds the error-correcting capability of the window.To mitigate this problem,a channel value reuse mechanism is designed,where the received channel values are utilized to reinitialize the window.Furthermore,considering the complexity and performance of decoding,a feasible sliding optimized window decoding(SOWD)scheme is introduced.Finally,simulation results confirm the superior performance of the proposed SOWD scheme in both the waterfall and error floor regions.This work has great potential in the applications of wireless optical communication and fiber optic communication. 展开更多

The existing researches of the evaluation method of ride comfort of vehicle mainly focus on the level of human feelings to vibration. The level of human feelings to vibration is influenced by many factors, however, the ride comfort according to the common principle of probability and statistics and simple binary logic is tmable to reflect these uncertainties. The random fuzzy evaluation model from people subjective response to vibration is adopted in the paper, these uncertainties are analyzed from the angle of psychological physics. Discussing the traditional evaluation of ride comfort during vehicle vibration, a fuzzily random evaluation model on the basis of annoyance rate is proposed for the human body's subjective response to vibration, with relevant fuzzy membership function and probability distribution given. A half-car four degrees of freedom suspension vibration model is described, subject to irregular excitations from the road surface, with the aid of software Matlab/Simulink. A new kind of evaluation method for ride comfort of vehicles is proposed in the paper, i.e., the annoyance rate evaluation method. The genetic algorithm and neural network control theory are used to control the system. Simulation results are obtained, such as the comparison of comfort reaction to vibration environments between before and after control, relationship of annoyance rate to vibration frequency and weighted acceleration, based on ISO 2631 / 1 (1982), ISO 2631-1 (1997) and annoyance rate evaluation method, respectively. Simulated assessment results indicate that the proposed active suspension systems prove to be effective in the vibration isolation of the suspension system, and the subjective response of human being can be promoted from very uncomfortable to a little uncomfortable. Furthermore, the novel evaluation method based on annoyance rate can further estimate quantitatively the number of passengers who feel discomfort due to vibration. Monodisperse spherical SiO2 particles were successfully synthesized in 2-propanol-H2O-NH3 system by the microwave hydrothermal method using ammonia as catalyst. To investigate the influences on the size of spherical SiO2 particles, factors such as ammonia concentration, reaction temperature, stirring intensity and reactants mol ratio have been studied. The orthogonal experiments were carried out. The as-prepared SiO2 particles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The results indicated that the size of SiO2 particles increased greatly with the increase in ammonia concentration, temperature and reactants mol ratio, but increased slightly with the increase in stirring intensity. Monodisperse spherical Si02 particles were amorphous with perfect sphere and uniform size. Hydroxyl was detected in SiO2. Kinetic parameters were calculated, and finally the reaction rate equation of dehydrated hydroxyl was obtained. 展开更多

A new electrical method of conductive carbon-film(with waterproof and anticorrosion ability)was proposed to continuously measure crack propagation rate of brittle rock under THMC coupling condition.A self-designed coupling testing system was used to conduct THMC coupling fracture tests of the pre-cracked red sandstone specimens(where the temperature is only changed)by this new electrical method of conductive carbon-film.Calculation results obtained by the energy method coincide well with the test results.And the higher the temperature is,the earlier the crack is initiated and the larger the crack propagation rate and accelerated velocity are,which can prove the validity of the new electrical method.This new electrical method has advantages of continuously measuring crack propagation rate over the conventional electrical,optical and acoustic methods,and can provide important basis for safety assessment and cracking-arrest design of deep rock mass engineering. 展开更多

An accelerator storage ring needs clean ultrahigh vacuum.A TiZrV non-evaporable getter(NEG) film deposited on interior walls of the chamber can realize distributed pumping,effective vacuum improvement and reduced longitudinal pressure gradient.But accumulation of pollutants such as N_2 and O_2 will decrease the adsorption ability of the NEG,leading to a reduction of NEG lifetime.Therefore,an NEG thin film coated with a layer of Pd,which has high diffusion rate and absorption ability for H_2,can extend the service life of NEG and improve the pumping rate of H_2 as well.In this paper,with argon as discharge gas,a magnetron sputtering method is adopted to prepare TiZrV-Pd films in a long straight pipe.By SEM measurement,deposition rates of TiZrV-Pd films are analyzed under different deposition parameters,such as magnetic field strength,gas flow rate,discharge current,discharge voltage and working pressure.By comparing the experimental results with the simulation results based on Sigmund's theory,the Pd deposition rate C can be estimated by the sputtered depth. 展开更多

[ Results] The positive rate of standard sampling was 18.18% higher than that of non-stand- ard sampling, and the positive rate of samples collected from cowpea tail was 16.67% higher than that collected from other parts. Self-heating Probe Instrument and Method for Measuring High Temperature Melting Volume Change Rate of Material 被引量:2

But the characteristics ... The castings defects are affected by the melting volume change rate of material. The change rate has an important effect on running safety of the high temperature thermal storage chamber, too. But the characteristics of existing measuring installations are complex structure, troublesome operation and low precision. In order to measure the melting volume change rate of material accurately and conveniently, a self-designed measuring instrument, self-heating probe instrument, and measuring method are described. Temperature in heating cavity is controlled by PID temperature controller; melting volume change rate υ and molten density are calculated based on the melt volume which is measured by the instrument. Positive and negative υ represent expansion and shrinkage of the sample volume after melting, respectively. Taking eutectic LiF+CaF2 for example, its melting volume change rate and melting density at 1 123 K are -20.6% and 2 651 kg/m–3 measured by this instrument, which is only 0.71% smaller than literature value. Density and melting volume change rate of industry pure aluminum at 973 K and analysis pure NaCl at 1 123 K are detected by the instrument too. The measure results are agreed with report values. Measuring error sources are analyzed and several improving measures are proposed. In theory, the measuring errors of the change rate and molten density which are measured by the self-designed instrument is nearly 1/20-1/50 of that measured by the refitted mandril thermal expansion instrument. The self-designed instrument and method have the advantages of simple structure, being easy to operate, extensive applicability for material, relatively high accuracy, and most importantly, temperature and sample vapor pressure have little effect on the measurement accuracy. The presented instrument and method solve the problems of complicated structure and procedures, and large measuring errors for the samples with high vapor pressure by existing installations. 展开更多

Fatigue crack propagation characteristics of a diesel engine crankshaft are studied by measuring the fatigue crack growth rate using a frequency sweep method on a resonant fatigue test rig. Based on the phenomenon that the system frequency will change when the crack becomes large, this method can be directly applied to a complex component or structure. Finite element analyses (FEAs) are performed to calibrate the relation between the frequency change and the crack size, and to obtain the natural frequency of the test rig and the stress intensity factor (SIF) of growing cracks. The crack growth rate i.e. da/dN-AK of each crack size is obtained by combining the testing-time monitored data and FEA results. The results show that the crack growth rate of engine crankshaft, which is a component with complex geometry and special surface treatment, is quite different from that of a pure material. Ce^(3+)as the active site on the CeO_(2)abrasive surface is the key to enhancing the material removal rate(MRR).The CeO_(2)abrasives with high chemical activity were prepared by the molten salt method under a reducing atmosphere.The crystal structure and morphology of CeO_(2)abrasive s were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),ultraviolet—visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-Vis DRS),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The CeO_(2)abrasives were obtained under different atmospheres(Air,Ar,and Ar/H_(2)).With the enhancement of the reducing atmosphere,the morphology of the abrasives transforms from spherical to octahedral,while more oxygen vacancies and Ce^(3+)are generated on the surface of CeO_(2)abrasives.The CMP experiments show that the MRRs of the CeO_(2)-Air,CeO_(2)-Ar,and CeO_(2)-Ar/H_(2)abrasives on SiO_(2)substrates are 337.60,578.74,and 691.28 nm/min,respectively.Moreover,as confirmed by atomic force microscopy(AFM),the substrate surfaces exhibit low roughness(20.5 nm)after being polished using all of the prepared samples.Especially,the MRR of CeO_(2)-Ar/H_(2)abrasives is increased by 104.76%compared with CeO_(2)-air abrasives.The improved CMP performance is attributed to the increased Ce^(3+)concentration and the octahedral morphology of the abrasives enhancing the chemical reaction and mechanical removal at the abrasive-substrate interface. 展开更多

The interfacial oxygen transfer rate is one of the main factors to control the composition of alloys.The commonly employed method of studying the interfacial oxygen transfer rate is the chemical composition analysis;however,it is difficult to be studied in situ.Here,a new method of measuring the oxygen transfer rate at the gas-slag and slag-metal interfaces was reported based on electrochemical analyses.The interfacial oxygen transfer rate in the smelting process of Inconel 718 superalloy was investigated at 1723,1773,1823,and 1873 K.The experimental results show that the electrochemical method can measure the real-time oxygen content;hence,this method is promising in controlling the oxygen content in alloys.As the temperature increased,both the equilibrium oxygen content and the rate of oxygen absorption increased significantly,and the increase was the most obvious when the temperature was 1873 K.The possible reason is that the increase in temperature weakens the mass transfer resistance of the electric double layer at the interface,thus accelerating the oxygen transfer rate. 展开更多
