Bayesian Optimization utilizes Gaussian Process (GP) as its core model and employs an adaptive search strategy to efficiently explore and identify optimal combinations of operational parameters within a limited parameter space, thereby enabling rapid optimization of the required parameters to achieve the target droplet size. Traditional methods typically rely on manually selecting a series of operational parameters and conducting multiple simulations to gradually approach the target droplet size. This process is time-consuming and prone to getting trapped in local optima. In contrast, Bayesian Optimization adaptively adjusts its search strategy, significantly reducing computational costs and effectively exploring global optima, thus greatly improving optimization efficiency. Additionally, the study investigates the impact of rectangular rib structures within the T-junction microchannel on droplet generation, revealing how the channel geometry influences droplet formation and size. After determining the target droplet size, we further applied Bayesian Optimization to refine the rib geometry. The integration of Bayesian Optimization with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) offers a promising tool and provides new insights into the optimal design of microfluidic devices.展开更多

文摘Quantum optimal control(QOC)relies on accurately modeling system dynamics and is often challenged by unknown or inaccessible interactions in real systems.Taking an unknown collective spin system as an example, this work introduces a machine-learning-based,data-driven scheme to overcome the challenges encountered, with a trained neural network(NN)assuming the role of a surrogate model that captures the system’s dynamics and subsequently enables QOC to be performed on the NN instead of on the real system. The trained NN surrogate proves effective for practical QOC tasks and is further demonstrated to be adaptable to different experimental conditions, remaining robust across varying system sizes and pulse durations.
文摘The Sine and Wormhole Energy Whale Optimization Algorithm(SWEWOA)represents an advanced solution method for resolving Optimal Power Flow(OPF)problems in power systems equipped with Flexible AC Transmission System(FACTS)devices which include Thyristor-Controlled Series Compensator(TCSC),Thyristor-Controlled Phase Shifter(TCPS),and Static Var Compensator(SVC).SWEWOA expands Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA)through the integration of sine and wormhole energy features thus improving exploration and exploitation capabilities for efficient convergence in complex non-linear OPF problems.A performance evaluation of SWEWOA takes place on the IEEE-30 bus test system through static and dynamic loading scenarios where it demonstrates better results than five contemporary algorithms:Adaptive Chaotic WOA(ACWOA),WOA,Chaotic WOA(CWOA),Sine Cosine Algorithm Differential Evolution(SCADE),and Hybrid Grey Wolf Optimization(HGWO).The research shows that SWEWOA delivers superior generation cost reduction than other algorithms by reaching a minimum of 0.9%better performance.SWEWOA demonstrates superior power loss performance by achieving(P_(loss,min))at the lowest level compared to all other tested algorithms which leads to better system energy efficiency. The dynamic loading performance of SWEWOA leads to a 4.38%reduction in gross costs which proves its capability to handle different operating conditions. The algorithm achieves top performance in Friedman Rank Test(FRT)assessments through multiple performance metrics which verifies its consistent reliability and strong stability during changing power demands. The repeated simulations show that SWEWOA generates mean costs(C_(gen,min))and mean power loss values(P_(loss,min))with small deviations which indicate its capability to maintain cost-effective solutions in each simulation run.SWEWOA demonstrates great potential as an advanced optimization solution for power system operations through the results presented in this study.

文摘Considering the uncertainty of grid connection of electric vehicle charging stations and the uncertainty of new energy and residential electricity load,a spatio-temporal decoupling strategy of dynamic reactive power optimization based on clustering-local relaxation-correction is proposed.Firstly, the k-medoids clustering algorithm is used to divide the reduced power scene into periods. Then, the discrete variables and continuous variables are optimized in the same period of time. Finally, the number of input groups of parallel capacitor banks(CB)in multiple periods is fixed, and then the secondary static reactive power optimization correction is carried out by using the continuous reactive power output device based on the static reactive power compensation device(SVC),the new energy grid-connected inverter, and the electric vehicle charging station.According to the characteristics of the model,a hybrid optimization algorithm with a cross-feedback mechanism is used to solve different types of variables, and an improved artificial hummingbird algorithm based on tent chaotic mapping and adaptive mutation is proposed to improve the solution efficiency. The simulation results show that the proposed decoupling strategy can obtain satisfactory optimization resultswhile strictly guaranteeing the dynamic constraints of discrete variables, and the hybrid algorithm can effectively solve the mixed integer nonlinear optimization problem.

文摘The multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm(MOPSO)is widely used to solve multi-objective optimization problems. In the article,amulti-objective particle swarm optimization algorithmbased on decomposition and multi-selection strategy is proposed to improve the search efficiency.First, two update strategies based on decomposition are used to update the evolving population and external archive, respectively.Second,a multiselection strategy is designed. The first strategy is for the subspace without a non-dominated solution.Among the neighbor particles, the particle with the smallest penalty-based boundary intersection value is selected as the global optimal solution and the particle far away fromthe search particle and the global optimal solution is selected as the personal optimal solution to enhance global search. The second strategy is for the subspace with a non-dominated solution. In the neighbor particles, two particles are randomly selected, one as the global optimal solution and the other as the personal optimal solution,to enhance local search. The third strategy is for Pareto optimal front(PF)discontinuity, which is identified by the cumulative number of iterations of the subspace without non-dominated solutions. In the subsequent iteration,a new probability distribution is used to select from the remaining subspaces to search.Third,an adaptive inertia weight update strategy based on the dominated degree is designed to further improve the search efficiency. Finally, the proposed algorithmis compared with fivemulti-objective particle swarm optimization algorithms and five multi-objective evolutionary algorithms on 22 test problems. The results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance.

文摘The wireless signals emitted by base stations serve as a vital link connecting people in today’s society and have been occupying an increasingly important role in real life. The development of the Internet of Things(IoT)relies on the support of base stations, which provide a solid foundation for achieving a more intelligent way of living. In a specific area, achieving higher signal coverage with fewer base stations has become an urgent problem. Therefore, this article focuses on the effective coverage area of base station signals and proposes a novel Evolutionary Particle Swarm Optimization(EPSO)algorithm based on collective prediction, referred to herein as ECPPSO.Introducing a new strategy called neighbor-based evolution prediction(NEP)addresses the issue of premature convergence often encountered by PSO.ECPPSO also employs a strengthening evolution(SE)strategy to enhance the algorithm’s global search capability and efficiency, ensuring enhanced robustness and a faster convergence speed when solving complex optimization problems. To better adapt to the actual communication needs of base stations, this article conducts simulation experiments by changing the number of base stations. The experimental results demonstrate thatunder the conditionof 50 ormore base stations,ECPPSOconsistently achieves the best coverage rate exceeding 95%,peaking at 99.4400%when the number of base stations reaches 80.These results validate the optimization capability of the ECPPSO algorithm, proving its feasibility and effectiveness.Further ablative experiments and comparisons with other algorithms highlight the advantages of ECPPSO.

文摘Previous studies have shown that deep learning is very effective in detecting known attacks. However, when facing unknown attacks, models such as Deep Neural Networks(DNN)combined with Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM),Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)combined with LSTM,and so on are built by simple stacking, which has the problems of feature loss, low efficiency, and low accuracy. Therefore, this paper proposes an autonomous detectionmodel for Distributed Denial of Service attacks,Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Network-Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Units-Single Headed Attention(MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA),which is based on a Multistrategy Integrated Zebra Optimization Algorithm(MI-ZOA).The model undergoes training and testing with the CICDDoS2019 dataset, and its performance is evaluated on a new GINKS2023 dataset. The hyperparameters for Conv_filter and GRU_unit are optimized using the Multi-strategy Integrated Zebra Optimization Algorithm(MIZOA).The experimental results show that the test accuracy of the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model based on the MIZOA proposed in this paper is as high as 0.9971 in the CICDDoS 2019 dataset. The evaluation accuracy of the new dataset GINKS2023 created in this paper is 0.9386.Compared to the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model based on the Zebra Optimization Algorithm(ZOA),the detection accuracy on the GINKS2023 dataset has improved by 5.81%,precisionhas increasedby 1.35%,the recallhas improvedby 9%,and theF1scorehas increasedby 5.55%.Compared to the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA models developed using Grid Search,Random Search, and Bayesian Optimization, the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model optimized with the MI-ZOA exhibits better performance in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score.

文摘In this paper,a linear optimization method(LOM)for the design of terahertz circuits is presented, aimed at enhancing the simulation efficacy and reducing the time of the circuit design workflow. This method enables the rapid determination of optimal embedding impedance for diodes across a specific bandwidth to achieve maximum efficiency through harmonic balance simulations.By optimizing the linear matching circuit with the optimal embedding impedance, the method effectively segregates the simulation of the linear segments from the nonlinear segments in the frequency multiplier circuit, substantially improving the speed of simulations. The design of on-chip linear matching circuits adopts a modular circuit design strategy, incorporating fixed load resistors to simplify the matching challenge.Utilizing this approach,a 340 GHz frequency doubler was developed and measured. The results demonstrate that, across a bandwidth of 330 GHz to 342 GHz,the efficiency of the doubler remains above 10%,with an input power ranging from 98 mW to 141mW and an output power exceeding 13 mW.Notably,at an input power of 141 mW,a peak output power of 21.8 mW was achieved at 334 GHz,corresponding to an efficiency of 15.8%.
文摘The simultaneous transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface(STAR-RIS)can independently adjust surface’s reflection and transmission coefficients so as to enhance space coverage. For a multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)communication system with a STAR-RIS,a base station(BS),an eavesdropper, and multiple users, the system security rate is studied.A joint design of the power allocation at the transmitter and phase shift matrices for reflection and transmission at the STAR-RIS is conducted,in order to maximize the worst achievable security data rate(ASDR).Since the problem is nonconvex and hence challenging,a particle swarm optimization(PSO)based algorithm is developed to tackle the problem. Both the cases of continuous and discrete phase shift matrices at the STAR-RIS are considered.Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and shows the benefits of using STAR-RIS in MIMO mutliuser systems.

文摘Integrating Bayesian Optimization with Volume of Fluid (VOF) simulations, this work aims to optimize the operational conditions and geometric parameters of T-junction microchannels for target droplet sizes. The integration of Bayesian Optimization with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) offers a promising tool and provides new insights into the optimal design of microfluidic devices.
文摘The global incidence of Alzheimer's Disease(AD)is on a swift rise. The Electroencephalogram(EEG)signals is an effective tool for the identification of AD and its initial Mild Cognitive Impairment(MCI)stage using machine learning models.Analysis of AD using EEG involves multi-channel analysis. However, the use of multiple channels may impact the classification performance due to data redundancy and complexity. In this work,a hybrid EEG channel selection is proposed using a combination of Reptile Search Algorithm and Snake Optimizer(RSO)for AD and MCI detection based on decomposition methods.Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD),Low-Complexity Orthogonal Wavelet Filter Banks(LCOWFB),Variational Mode Decomposition, and discrete-wavelet transform decomposition techniques have been employed for subbands-based EEG analysis. We extracted thirty-four features from each subband of EEG signals. Finally,a hybrid RSO optimizer is compared with five individual metaheuristic algorithms for effective channel selection. The effectiveness of this model is assessed by two publicly accessible AD EEG datasets. An accuracy of 99.22% was achieved for binary classification from RSO with EMD using 4(out of 16)EEG channels. Moreover, the RSO with LCOWFBs obtained 89.68%the average accuracy for three-class classification using 7(out of 19)channels.The performance reveals that RSO performs better than individual Metaheuristic algorithms with 60%fewer channels and improved accuracy of 4%than existing AD detection techniques.
