High-resolution x-ray diffraction shows that pure β-Ga_2O_3 with a smooth surface has a higher crystal quality, and the Raman spectra reveal a very small residual strain in β-Ga_2O_3 grown by hydride vapor phase epitaxy compared with bulk single crystal. The optical transmittance is higher than 80% in the visible and near-UV regions, and the optical bandgap energy is calculated to be 4.9 e V.展开更多
The role of multicomponent rare earth oxides in phase stability, thermophysical properties and sintering for ZrO2-based thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) materials is investigated. 8YSZ codoped with 3 mol% Gd2O3 and 3...The role of multicomponent rare earth oxides in phase stability, thermophysical properties and sintering for ZrO2-based thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) materials is investigated. 8YSZ codoped with 3 mol% Gd2O3 and 3 mol% Yb2O3 (GYb-YSZ) powders are synthesized by solid state reaction for 24 h at various temperatures. As temperature increases, stabilizers are dissolved into zirconia matrix gradually. Synthesized at 1 500 °C, GYb-YSZ is basically composed of cubic phase. GYb-YSZ exhibits excellent phase stability and sinters lower than 8YSZ by nearly three times. The thermal conductivity of GYb-YSZ is much lower than that of 8YSZ, and the thermal expansion coefficient of GYb-YSZ is comparable to that of 8YSZ. The influence of Gd2O3 and Yb2O3 co-doping on phase stability, thermal conductivity and sintering of 8YSZ is discussed.展开更多

A phase transition occurs from monoclinic(B-type) to hexagonal(A-type) phase at 23.5 GPa and these two phases coexist even at the highest pressure. Parameters of isothermal equation of state are V0= 69.0(1)A3, K0= 159(3) GPa, K0= 4(fixed) for the B-type phase and V0= 67.8(2) A3, K0= 156(3) GPa,K'0= 4fixed for the A-type phase. The perovskite phase formation and morphology of undoped Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 (abbreviated PZT) and doped new material Pb0.98Gd0.02[(Zr0.52Ti0.48)0.98(Mg1/3Nb2/3)0.01(Ni1/3Sb2/3)0.01]O3 (abbreviated PZT-PGMNNS) specimens calcined between 700°C and 900°C have been examined by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) while the thermal evolution of the initial precursor was followed by TG-DTA. A gas-phase surface discharge(GSD)was employed to optimize the discharge reactor structure and investigate the dye degradation.A dye mixture of methylene blue,acid orange and methyl orange was used as a model pollut...A gas-phase surface discharge(GSD)was employed to optimize the discharge reactor structure and investigate the dye degradation.A dye mixture of methylene blue,acid orange and methyl orange was used as a model pollutant.The results indicated that the reactor structure of the GSD system with the ratio of tube inner surface area and volume of 2.48,screw pitch between a high-voltage electrode of 9.7 mm,high-voltage electrode wire diameter of 0.8 mm,dielectric tube thickness of2.0 mm and tube inner diameter of 16.13 mm presented a better ozone(O_3)generation efficiency.Furthermore,a larger screw pitch and smaller wire diameter enhanced the O_3generation.After the dye mixture degradation by the optimized GSD system,73.21%and 50.74%of the chemical oxygen demand(COD)and total organic carbon removal rate were achieved within 20 min,respectively,and the biochemical oxygen demand(BOD)and biodegradability(BOD/COD)improved.展开更多

The phase diagrams have been constructed. There are eight binary compounds and no ternary compound in the Zn O-Mo O3-Bi2O3 system. This system can be divided into nine three-phase regions. From the phase relations of Zn O-MoO 3-Bi2O3 system, the possible component regions for Zn O single crystal flux growth are Zn O-Zn3Mo2O9-Bi2 Mo O6, Zn O-Bi2 Mo O6-Bi26Mo10O69, Zn O-Bi26Mo10O69-Bi14 MoO 24, and Zn O-Bi14 Mo O24-Bi38 Zn O58.展开更多
In-situ HVEM observation on phase transition of the YBa_2Cu_3O_(7-x) superconducting compound in pro- cess of heating was carried out,and high temperature X-ray diffraction analysis in air and X-ray diffraction phase ...In-situ HVEM observation on phase transition of the YBa_2Cu_3O_(7-x) superconducting compound in pro- cess of heating was carried out,and high temperature X-ray diffraction analysis in air and X-ray diffraction phase analysis for the sample treated in vacuum condition were made.The results showed that the temperature of phase transition is related to oxygen content in the sample and in general,is 100℃ to 120℃ lower in vacu- um condition than in air.At 320℃ to 350℃ twin bands begin to disappear,and some Cu_2O are formed on the surface of the sample and transit from orthorhombic YBa_2Cu_3O_(7-x) to arthorhombic Y_2BaCuO_5 compound. This transition was completed at about 500℃.Above 900℃,this compound consists of the Y_2BaCuO_5, BaCuO_2,Y_2O_3 and some other minor compounds.No phase transition was observed during cooling the sample.展开更多
