文摘Objective: To explore the effect of a whole-course nursing objective management system on disease control and quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes, and to propose strategies for constructing such a system for these patients. Methods: Ninety patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the Department of Endocrinology of the hospital from January 2024 to June 2024 were selected. The control group (n = 45) received routine nursing care, while the observation group (n = 45) received whole-course nursing. Indicators such as glucose metabolism and compliance behavior were measured before and after care, and the health and quality of life of patients in both groups were evaluated. Results: A comparison of blood glucose levels and compliance behavior showed that the observation group had lower blood glucose levels than the control group (P < 0.05). Additionally, the compliance behavior score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The holistic nursing model demonstrates significant nursing effects for patients with type 2 diabetes. This approach not only assists in blood sugar control, prevents disease progression, and reduces complications, but also enhances patients’ knowledge of health management, aiding in their recovery.
文摘The quality of care and treatment can be impacted by a number of factors, including the rate of missed care. The present study was conducted with the aim to evaluate missed nursing care (MNC) and its association with patient safety culture in the emergency department (ED). Until September 2024, the international databases MEDLINE (PubMed and Ovid), Embase and Cochrane, Scopus, Wiley Online Library, Web of Science, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, EBSCO, ISI, Elsevier, and Google Scholar were searched using the search terms including patient safety culture and MNC. A total of eight articles were reviewed. In the fixed-effect model with low heterogeneity (I^(2) = 0%, P = 1), the mean score of overall MNC was 2.07 (ES, 2.97;95% confidence interval: −2.21-6.35). According to meta-regression analyses, MNC significantly inversely correlated with patient safety culture, age, and work experience (P < 0.01). By improving the working conditions of ED nurses and providing training related to patient safety, the amount of lost nursing care will decrease.

文摘Recently, inflammatory cytokine profiles have been linked to suicide risk in adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury,highlighting a promising biological dimension of suicide risk assessment.Clinical translation of the cytokine profiles into practice will require frontline engagement of the workforce.Mental health nurses are frequently the most accessible professionals in schools, communities, and low-resource settings and are prime candidates to bridge this gap.By integrating psychosocial evaluation with emerging biomarker data, they can deliver systematic risk assessment, continuous monitoring, and timely intervention. This role would not replace psychiatric expertise;it would extend the reach of psychiatric services, embedding suicide prevention across the continuum of care. For health systems,nurse-led integration may enhance capacity, equity, and resilience in responding to adolescent suicide risk. This editorial demonstrates that empowering nurses to operationalize biomarker-informed strategies is needed for advancing effective and sustainable suicide prevention in this vulnerable population.
