Objective:To describe the implementation of evidence-based practice(EBP)and identify the associated factors among clinical nurses working at an oncology hospital in Central Vietnam.Methods:A cross-sectional study was ...Objective:To describe the implementation of evidence-based practice(EBP)and identify the associated factors among clinical nurses working at an oncology hospital in Central Vietnam.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted with 190 clinical nurses recruited from an oncology hospital in Central Vietnam.The self-administered Evidence-Based Practice Questionnaire(EBPQ)was employed to assess the nurses'knowledge/skills,attitudes,and implementation of EBP.Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics,the Mann-Whitney test,the Kruskal-Wallis test,and Spearman's rho correlation.Results:The mean total score for EBP implementation among the nurses was 29.52(SD=7.14)out of 42 scores.The most frequently undertaken activity was sharing evidence with colleagues,whereas finding relevant evidence was the least performed.The level of EBP implementation significantly varied based on the nurses'role types and their participation in related courses(P<0.05).Moreover,a strong positive correlation was observed between EBP implementation and both knowledge/skills(r=0.703,P<0.001)and attitudes toward EBP(r=0.536,P<0.001).Conclusions:The implementation of EBP by oncology nurses is generally moderate and is significantly positively correlated with their knowledge/skills and attitudes toward EBP.These findings underscore the importance of enhancing educational programs and facilitating suppor tive institutional policies to fur ther encourage the adoption of EBP among nurses.展开更多
Objective:This research examines the socio-educational and acculturation experiences of Filipino nurse-migrants within the context of international healthcare systems.It seeks to understand the multifaceted emotional ...Objective:This research examines the socio-educational and acculturation experiences of Filipino nurse-migrants within the context of international healthcare systems.It seeks to understand the multifaceted emotional and professional system-related difficulties they face and how these impact their adaptation strategies and integration processes elsewhere.Methods:A qualitative phenomenological strategy,as described by Colaizzi's 7-step analysis method,was employed.A purposeful sample of 10 Filipino nurses deployed to Saudi Arabia,Oman,the United States,Finland,Australia,Ireland,Norway,and Germany was chosen.Par ticipants took part in video conferencing structured interviews,which were conducted remotely.Manually and using NVivo(Version 15,Lumivero,2024),thematic analysis was conducted to identify impor tant themes from the par ticipants'stories.Results:Seven major themes emerged:(1)emotional and cultural dimensions of guilt,isolation,and professional identity negotiation;(2)language and communication barriers,which comprise code-switching and cultural deference challenges;(3)systematic barriers such as credential recognition,licensing examinations,and bureaucratic obstacles;(4)gaps in clinical practice standards,patient care ethics,and discrepancy;(5)family and finances as motivation and resilience;(6)bridging programs and adaptation to student-centered learning as educational transitions;and(7)cultural adaptation depicts discrimination,the workplace hierarchical order,discerning and pragmatically fluent challenges.Despite systemic inequities,participants demonstrated remarkable adaptability,which was visibly rooted in Filipino cultural values such as pakikisama,utang na loob,and bayanihan.Conclusions:The migration experience of Filipino nurses is associated with profound and emotional changes on professional and cultural levels.While these individuals adapt remarkably well due to their multifaceted resilience,they face unforgiving barriers,including credentialing,cultural,and systemic issues.Policies that foster intercultural understanding alongside psychosocial suppor t and fair recognition of foreign credentials would enhance the positive impact of migrant nurses on international healthcare.These considerations will enhance the integration experience for migrant nurses and have a positive impact on patient care worldwide.展开更多

Nursing education in Indonesia experienced a number of changes during the new normal.The biopsychosocial health status reveals how students can complete their studies well at nursing school in the new normal.A quantit...Nursing education in Indonesia experienced a number of changes during the new normal.The biopsychosocial health status reveals how students can complete their studies well at nursing school in the new normal.A quantitative,descriptive correlational study sampled 368 student nurses from2 universities.This study used a biopsychosocial questionnaire,which included biological,physiological,and social dimensions.In this study,there was no significant demographic student nurse relationship with the biological,psychological,and social dimensions of health,at P-value 0.05(Age P=0.70,P=0.27,P=0.93)sex(P=1,P=0.919,P=0.5),as well as grade level(P=0.9,P=0.37,P=0.64).Student nurses were dynamic,such as process input,resulting in coping adaptation and the ability to care for themselves.There was a relationship between both universities with a psychological dimension and a P-value of 0.049.In terms of Generation Z technology,both universities played a role.Lifestyle influences can lead to intense feelings of isolation and loneliness in some teens,including self-negativity,fear of missing out on information,and shame about not meeting appropriate standards for social media.The influence of an unhealthy lifestyle impacts stress and anxiety.The student nurses assigned considered themselves to be“healthy”in terms of their biopsychosocial health status.Student nurses continued to develop in their biopsychosocial health by utilizing different coping strategies to adapt and adjust to their environment in their school of nursing.展开更多

Objective:To investigate the effect of“72-hour proactive follow-up”led by respiratory specialist nurses on reducing the 30-day readmission rate in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary di...Objective:To investigate the effect of“72-hour proactive follow-up”led by respiratory specialist nurses on reducing the 30-day readmission rate in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)after hospital discharge.Methods:A randomized controlled trial was conducted involving 60 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD admitted from September 2024 to September 2025.The participants were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 30 individuals in each group.The control group received routine discharge guidance nursing measures,including instructions on medication use,key points for condition monitoring,and scheduling of follow-up appointments.The observation group implemented“72-hour proactive follow-up”nursing measures,which included telephone follow-up within 72 hours after discharge,quantitative assessment of respiratory symptoms,dynamic adjustment of medication regimens,and personalized health education.The 30-day readmission rate,mMRC dyspnea index,CAT quality of life score,and other parameters were compared between the two groups.Results:The 30-day readmission rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(p<0.05).The mMRC dyspnea index(1.8±0.5)in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(2.5±0.7)(p<0.05).The CAT quality of life score(18.2±3.1)in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(22.4±4.2)(p<0.05).The patient satisfaction score(92.5±4.3)in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(85.6±5.8)(p<0.05).Conclusion:The“72-hour proactive follow-up”nursing intervention demonstrates a favorable effect in reducing readmission rates,exhibiting significant clinical practical value.It can optimize the allocation of medical resources,effectively enhance patients’self-management efficacy,and holds prominent value for clinical promotion and application.展开更多

Objective:Nurse-led virtual outpatient clinics are now a familiar component of healthcare delivery across many disciplines,including cancer care,or thopedics,rheumatology,and gastroenterology.However,establishing a nu...Objective:Nurse-led virtual outpatient clinics are now a familiar component of healthcare delivery across many disciplines,including cancer care,or thopedics,rheumatology,and gastroenterology.However,establishing a nurse-led vir tual clinic is challenging for nursing management,par ticularly regarding resources.We aimed to investigate nursing practices and processes and patient experiences in relation to vir tual outpatient clinics.Methods:This was a cross-sectional,descriptive study using mixed data collection methods.Patients(n=324)from 4 specialist clinics completed the Virtual Clinics Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire(VCSQ)survey.Five Nurse Specialists participated in a focus group interview.Results:Most participants(86.3%)reported being satisfied/very satisfied with the virtual clinics,particularly those that were nurse-led.Nurse specialists identified electronic health records(EHRs)and additional IT and administrative support as important for efficiency and effectiveness of the clinics.Conclusions:Nurse-led virtual clinics can be an effective and efficient way to provide care to patients.Nurse managers need to ensure supportive structures are in place,for example,dedicated administrators,IT support and infrastructure,education/training,and relevant policies/procedures.The success of nurse-led virtual services requires key infrastructure to support nursing staff and sustain this service.展开更多
BACKGROUND Global tumor incidence rises and therapies advance,driving oncology nursing specialization.Granting nurses prescriptive authority optimizes care but polarizes nurses'attitudes due to factors like risk a...BACKGROUND Global tumor incidence rises and therapies advance,driving oncology nursing specialization.Granting nurses prescriptive authority optimizes care but polarizes nurses'attitudes due to factors like risk and competence,hindering policy implementation.AIM To investigate the current status of the attitudes of oncology specialist nurses toward having prescribing authority,specifically concerning symptom management and supportive care in oncology practice,and we conducted a path analysis of their influencing factors.METHODS As participants in the survey,oncology specialist nurses working in hospitals of different grades in Jiangsu Province were selected from March 2025 to May 2025 using a stratified sampling method.The questionnaires were administered using the general information questionnaire,the beliefs and attitudes about nurses'prescriptive authority scale,the nurses'professional identity scale,and the selfefficacy scale.Pearson’s method was used to analyze the correlation between beliefs and attitudes about the prescriptive authority,professional identity,and self-efficacy of nurses.Multiple linear regression was performed to analyze the factors influencing the beliefs and attitudes of nurses’prescriptive authority.The Amos plug-in was used to construct structural equation models to analyze the influencing pathways.RESULTS A total of 329 questionnaires were distributed,and 328 valid questionnaires were returned(effective recovery rate:99.70%).The total score of the 328 oncology nurses on the beliefs and attitudes about nurses'prescriptive authority scale was 101.88±15.13,indicating a moderately high level.Univariate analysis revealed that gender and hospital grade were associated with this score(P<0.05).The Pearson correlation analysis revealed that self-efficacy was positively correlated with the scores of the beliefs and attitudes about nurses’prescriptive authority scale and the nurses’professional identity scale(r=0.4999,P<0.0001 and r=0.7048,P<0.05,respectively),whereas occupational identity was positively correlated only with the former(r=0.6209,P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis revealed occupational identity and self-efficacy as the factors influencing the scores of the beliefs and attitudes about nurses’prescriptive authority scale(P<0.05).The results of the path analysis revealed that selfefficacy significantly positively affected nurses’occupational identity and their beliefs and attitudes about having prescriptive authority;occupational identity played a mediating role between the two,with a mediating effect accounting for 54.46% of the total effect,and the structural equation model was well-fitted.CONCLUSION Oncology nurses have more positive attitudes toward prescriptive authority.In addition,self-efficacy positively and indirectly affects nurses’attitudes toward prescriptive authority through the mediating effect of occupational identity.This can be used as a basis for clinical practice to take targeted measures to improve nurses’self-efficacy and occupational identity,thus creating favorable conditions for effectively implementing the policy of prescriptive authority.展开更多

Objectives Nurses’clinical research activities have contributed to optimizing the care process and improving patient outcomes,and generative artificial intelligence(GAI)may help clinical nurses strengthen their resea...Objectives Nurses’clinical research activities have contributed to optimizing the care process and improving patient outcomes,and generative artificial intelligence(GAI)may help clinical nurses strengthen their research skills.To support research,this study aimed to explore the Chinese nurses’perceptions and experiences of GAI training.Methods This study used a descriptive qualitative design.The China Nurses Network conducted a three-day training session on“GAI for Nursing Research”theme,we selected 23 nurses by a convenience sampling method among participating in the training.The researchers conducted three focus group interviews at the end of each day.All focus groups were interviewed face-to-face to facilitate interaction,data collection,and observation.The data were analyzed using conventional content analysis and coded manually.Results The results showed that nurses’use of GAI to support scientific research was dynamic and characterized by evolving perceptions and practices.Four themes and 11 sub-themes emerged from the analysis:1)utilization efficacy:cope with research ability,affected by many factors;2)booster research:growth and challenges go hand in hand;3)role reversal:from GAI-dominated to nurse-dominated;4)beautiful dream:more features on research,more assistants on clinical care.Conclusions The effectiveness of GAI in supporting clinical nurses in conducting research is mainly limited by differences in personal research literacy,lack of ethical regulation,and information accuracy.In the future,it is necessary to improve nurses’relevant skills through specialized training and promote the standardization of technical regulations to ensure the appropriate application of GAI in nursing research.展开更多
Objectives:Nurses working in critical care units may encounter substantial work-related strain,and elevated levels of stress can lead to burnout,ultimately impacting both the quality of nursing care and their overall ...Objectives:Nurses working in critical care units may encounter substantial work-related strain,and elevated levels of stress can lead to burnout,ultimately impacting both the quality of nursing care and their overall working experience.This study aimed to assess job burnout and determine the factors that contribute to it among critical care nurses in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.Methods:This study employed a descriptive,exploratory,cross-sectional research design.A total of 220 nurses employed in the critical care units of 5 private hospitals in the eastern region were selected for participation in this study using a convenience sample method.An electronic survey was distributed to critical care nurses in the Eastern Province who satisfied the specified inclusion criteria.The job burnout questionnaire utilized in this study was derived from previously conducted research,which has been established as a reliable and valid survey instrument.The process of data analysis was conducted utilizing the SPSS program.The scientific research conducted on human subjects adhered rigorously to all ethical considerations.Results:The highest percentage of nurses at the critical care units reported experiencing moderate levels of job burnout.Nurses exhibiting greater levels of professional experience demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in overall burnout scores when compared to their less experienced counterparts.Furthermore,within the realm of sociodemographic factors,it was found that the only significant independent predictor for job burnout was the level of experience among critical care nurses.Conclusions:The prevalence of burnout among nurses in critical care settings was found to be significant,with most participants reporting moderate levels of burnout which can yield significant ramifications for nurses and healthcare professionals.Consequently,healthcare organizations must accord primacy to the welfare of their staff and adopt proactive strategies to mitigate job burnout.展开更多

BACKGROUND Economic violence is a type of domestic violence in which an intimate partner attempts to oppress,restrict,or direct a female by exercising control over her financial resources.AIM To explore the impact of ...BACKGROUND Economic violence is a type of domestic violence in which an intimate partner attempts to oppress,restrict,or direct a female by exercising control over her financial resources.AIM To explore the impact of economic abuse on individual work performance and clarify the effective factors on financial exploitation among physicians and nurses.METHODS The study has a cross-sectional design,and 305 married,female physicians and nurses working in a university hospital were included.Data was collected with demographic characteristics forms,“Revised Scale of Economic Abuse”and“Individual Work Performance Questionnaire”.Pearson correlation,comparative analyses,and internal consistency reliability tests were used.RESULTS The average age was 39.04±9.41.Among the respondents 69.2%were nurses and 63.9%held a bachelor’s degree.The mean score for the Revised Scale of Economic Abuse was 2.80±4.73 while it was 3.86±0.60 for the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire.CONCLUSION Our study revealed no relationship between economic abuse and individual work performance,confirming that nurses are exposed to more economic abuse and exploitation than physicians and exhibit higher work performance.展开更多
Objectives This study aimed to validate the Russian version of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(R-CBI)among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and explored factors contributing to burnout.Methods The original Copenha...Objectives This study aimed to validate the Russian version of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(R-CBI)among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and explored factors contributing to burnout.Methods The original Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(CBI)was translated into the R-CBI using a rigorous forward-backward method and reviewed by experts.Between July and November 2022,1,530 nurses were recruited through convenience sampling method from various nursing settings in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to test the scale’s reliability and validity,including confirmatory factor analysis(CFA),internal consistency reliability,and concurrent validity.A linear regression analysis was conducted to identify influencing factors of burnout.Results The content of the R-CBI is consistent with the original CBI,consisting of 19 items with three dimensions.The Cronbach’sαcoefficient is 0.926 in Kazakhstan and 0.922 in Kyrgyzstan,ranging from 0.830 to 0.898 for three dimensions.The CFA results among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan supported the three-factor structure of R-CBI with good fit indices.Concurrent validity was established through significant correlations(P<0.001)with job satisfaction questionnaire(r=−0.457),Depression Anxiety Stress Scales(r=0.506 in depression,r=0.485 in anxiety,r=0.564 in stress),and WHO-5 Well-Being Index(r=−0.528).The overall burnout level was 36.1±17.6 and 37.5±17.4 in Kazakhstani and Kyrgyzstani nurses,respectively.Significant influencing factors of burnout included gender,age,educational level,and COVID-19 infection history.Conclusions The R-CBI was proved to be a reliable and valid tool for assessing nurses’burnout in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.展开更多
Objective:To assess knowledge and practice among nurses toward neonatal resuscitation in hospitals in Hebron.Methods:A cross-sectional study design was conducted among 151 nurses from Hebron.Data were collected using ...Objective:To assess knowledge and practice among nurses toward neonatal resuscitation in hospitals in Hebron.Methods:A cross-sectional study design was conducted among 151 nurses from Hebron.Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire.Multiple logistic regression was conducted to test the associated factors with the dependent variables.Results:Only 9.3%of participants had a standardized level of knowledge,while 68.9%reported adequate skills for neonatal resuscitation.Factors associated with a standardized level of knowledge were age(p=0.001)and supportive supervision(p=0.007).Factors associated with the standardized practice level were the presence of hospital guidelines(p=0.028),previous training of nurses(p=0.011),and the presence of supportive supervision(p<0.001).Conclusions:The majority of emergency nurses in Hebron hospitals demonstrated a substandard level of knowledge of neonatal resuscitation.However,most of those nurses surprisingly reported a standardized practice level.The presence of hospital guidelines,training programs,or direct supervision for nurses are factors that can be considered to improve both knowledge and practice toward neonatal resuscitation among emergency nurses in Hebron.展开更多
Objective:The purpose of this study was to develop and psychometrically analyze the characteristics of the good nurse from the perspective of service recipients.Methods:The current research was conducted namely in 2 q...Objective:The purpose of this study was to develop and psychometrically analyze the characteristics of the good nurse from the perspective of service recipients.Methods:The current research was conducted namely in 2 qualitative and psychometric phases.In the first stage,the items of the questionnaire were designed by interviews with nursing service recipients,and in the next stage,construct validity,content validity,face validity,reliability,and internal consistency were all reviewed.Results:Based on the results of the content analysis of the interview with nursing service recipients and related literature review,an 80-item questionnaire was designed.After analyzing its content validity,40 items were validated and 40 were eliminated,which were prepared by using exploratory factor analysis,6 factors of attentive and communicative,patron and companionable,complete caregiver,safer and skillful,advocate and confidant.The reliability of the tool was assessed by applying Cronbach’s alpha method of 0.90.Conclusions:“The good nurse characteristics tool”could be used to assess the service receivers’point of view and provide useful information regarding nurses’performance to managers and nurses and will provide the basis for improving the quality of nursing services.展开更多

文摘Objective:To describe the implementation of evidence-based practice(EBP)and identify the associated factors among clinical nurses working at an oncology hospital in Central Vietnam.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted with 190 clinical nurses recruited from an oncology hospital in Central Vietnam.The self-administered Evidence-Based Practice Questionnaire(EBPQ)was employed to assess the nurses'knowledge/skills,attitudes,and implementation of EBP.Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics,the Mann-Whitney test,the Kruskal-Wallis test,and Spearman's rho correlation.Results:The mean total score for EBP implementation among the nurses was 29.52(SD=7.14)out of 42 scores.The most frequently undertaken activity was sharing evidence with colleagues,whereas finding relevant evidence was the least performed.The level of EBP implementation significantly varied based on the nurses'role types and their participation in related courses(P<0.05).Moreover,a strong positive correlation was observed between EBP implementation and both knowledge/skills(r=0.703,P<0.001)and attitudes toward EBP(r=0.536,P<0.001).Conclusions:The implementation of EBP by oncology nurses is generally moderate and is significantly positively correlated with their knowledge/skills and attitudes toward EBP.These findings underscore the importance of enhancing educational programs and facilitating suppor tive institutional policies to fur ther encourage the adoption of EBP among nurses.
文摘Objective:This research examines the socio-educational and acculturation experiences of Filipino nurse-migrants within the context of international healthcare systems.It seeks to understand the multifaceted emotional and professional system-related difficulties they face and how these impact their adaptation strategies and integration processes elsewhere.Methods:A qualitative phenomenological strategy,as described by Colaizzi's 7-step analysis method,was employed.A purposeful sample of 10 Filipino nurses deployed to Saudi Arabia,Oman,the United States,Finland,Australia,Ireland,Norway,and Germany was chosen.Par ticipants took part in video conferencing structured interviews,which were conducted remotely.Manually and using NVivo(Version 15,Lumivero,2024),thematic analysis was conducted to identify impor tant themes from the par ticipants'stories.Results:Seven major themes emerged:(1)emotional and cultural dimensions of guilt,isolation,and professional identity negotiation;(2)language and communication barriers,which comprise code-switching and cultural deference challenges;(3)systematic barriers such as credential recognition,licensing examinations,and bureaucratic obstacles;(4)gaps in clinical practice standards,patient care ethics,and discrepancy;(5)family and finances as motivation and resilience;(6)bridging programs and adaptation to student-centered learning as educational transitions;and(7)cultural adaptation depicts discrimination,the workplace hierarchical order,discerning and pragmatically fluent challenges.Despite systemic inequities,participants demonstrated remarkable adaptability,which was visibly rooted in Filipino cultural values such as pakikisama,utang na loob,and bayanihan.Conclusions:The migration experience of Filipino nurses is associated with profound and emotional changes on professional and cultural levels.While these individuals adapt remarkably well due to their multifaceted resilience,they face unforgiving barriers,including credentialing,cultural,and systemic issues.Policies that foster intercultural understanding alongside psychosocial suppor t and fair recognition of foreign credentials would enhance the positive impact of migrant nurses on international healthcare.These considerations will enhance the integration experience for migrant nurses and have a positive impact on patient care worldwide.

This review synthesizes existing research, revealing that professional identity positively impacts the development of core competencies through multiple pathways, including psychological drive, behavioral facilitation, teamwork, and career stability. Building on this analysis, this paper proposes systematic enhancement strategies from four dimensions: education and training, organizational environment, cultural development, and individual growth, aiming to provide a reference for nursing practice and professional development.
文摘Nursing education in Indonesia experienced a number of changes during the new normal.The biopsychosocial health status reveals how students can complete their studies well at nursing school in the new normal.A quantitative,descriptive correlational study sampled 368 student nurses from2 universities.This study used a biopsychosocial questionnaire,which included biological,physiological,and social dimensions.In this study,there was no significant demographic student nurse relationship with the biological,psychological,and social dimensions of health,at P-value 0.05(Age P=0.70,P=0.27,P=0.93)sex(P=1,P=0.919,P=0.5),as well as grade level(P=0.9,P=0.37,P=0.64).Student nurses were dynamic,such as process input,resulting in coping adaptation and the ability to care for themselves.There was a relationship between both universities with a psychological dimension and a P-value of 0.049.In terms of Generation Z technology,both universities played a role.Lifestyle influences can lead to intense feelings of isolation and loneliness in some teens,including self-negativity,fear of missing out on information,and shame about not meeting appropriate standards for social media.The influence of an unhealthy lifestyle impacts stress and anxiety.The student nurses assigned considered themselves to be“healthy”in terms of their biopsychosocial health status.Student nurses continued to develop in their biopsychosocial health by utilizing different coping strategies to adapt and adjust to their environment in their school of nursing.

文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of“72-hour proactive follow-up”led by respiratory specialist nurses on reducing the 30-day readmission rate in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)after hospital discharge.Methods:A randomized controlled trial was conducted involving 60 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD admitted from September 2024 to September 2025.The participants were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 30 individuals in each group.The control group received routine discharge guidance nursing measures,including instructions on medication use,key points for condition monitoring,and scheduling of follow-up appointments.The observation group implemented“72-hour proactive follow-up”nursing measures,which included telephone follow-up within 72 hours after discharge,quantitative assessment of respiratory symptoms,dynamic adjustment of medication regimens,and personalized health education.The 30-day readmission rate,mMRC dyspnea index,CAT quality of life score,and other parameters were compared between the two groups.Results:The 30-day readmission rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(p<0.05).The mMRC dyspnea index(1.8±0.5)in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(2.5±0.7)(p<0.05).The CAT quality of life score(18.2±3.1)in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(22.4±4.2)(p<0.05).The patient satisfaction score(92.5±4.3)in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(85.6±5.8)(p<0.05).Conclusion:The“72-hour proactive follow-up”nursing intervention demonstrates a favorable effect in reducing readmission rates,exhibiting significant clinical practical value.It can optimize the allocation of medical resources,effectively enhance patients’self-management efficacy,and holds prominent value for clinical promotion and application.

文摘Objective:To systematically review the current implementation status of nurses’non-pharmacological prescription authority and analyze the barriers encountered during its implementation in China,providing countermeasures and references for promoting the standardized implementation of nurses’non-pharmacological prescription authority.Methods:A secondary analysis of literature was conducted to systematically search for domestic and international literature related to nurses’non-pharmacological prescription authority.Meta-analysis was performed on eligible literature to evaluate the implementation effects.Simultaneously,semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with healthcare workers,patients,and policymakers.Content analysis was used to organize the interview data and extract core issues and barriers.Results:A total of 46 international articles were included in the Meta-analysis,which revealed that the implementation of nurses’non-pharmacological prescription authority significantly improved patients’health management outcomes,enhanced healthcare service efficiency,and increased patient satisfaction.Conclusion:The implementation of nurses’non-pharmacological prescription authority has demonstrated significant positive effects.However,China faces multiple barriers in its advancement,necessitating efforts in optimizing policy systems,constructing collaborative models,strengthening professional skills training,and improving social awareness to guide the scientific and rational implementation of nurses’non-pharmacological prescription authority.
文摘Objective:To investigate the distribution of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)constitution among night-shift nurses at a public tertiary-level Class A hospital,thereby identifying new approaches for developing effective interventions to enhance their health status.Methods:A total of 601 nurses employed at a public tertiary-level Class A hospital from August 2024 to August 2025 participated in the survey.Analysis was conducted using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution Questionnaire.Results:The most prevalent TCM constitution types among night-shift nurses were Yang Deficiency Constitution(50.4%),Yin Deficiency Constitution(49.8%),Qi Deficiency Constitution(45.4%),and Phlegm-Dampness Constitution(45.1%).Conclusion:A high proportion of clinical night-shift nursing staff exhibit imbalanced constitution types,severely impacting their physical and mental health.Nursing administrators should implement targeted TCM constitution-based health maintenance and regulation to improve the health status of nursing personnel.
文摘Objective:This article employs a scoping review methodology,integrates knowledge and information about current pediatric nurses'practices and perceptions regarding family-centered care in pediatric settings.Methods:Published articles were retrieved from databases including EBSCO host,PubMed,Springer,Science Direct,Ovid,and CINAHL between 2013 and 2023.Results:The finding shows a better understanding of pediatric nurses'perceptions of family-centered care in association with their clinical settings.However,the evidence indicates that integrating family-centered care components into health care services is difficult and confusing to nurses and is often not implemented in a clinical setting.As evidenced by this review,studies have consistently reported similar results;family-centered care was a good perception and understood by pediatric nurses as a concept but inconsistently used in a daily practice setting.Conclusions:This scoping review is the first phase in promoting a strategic plan to provide educational interventions for pediatric nurses to implement family-centered care in their daily practice settings.It's necessary to recognize pediatric nurses'perceptions and practices concerning family-centered care to provide optimal healthcare services in pediatric settings.

文摘Objective:Nurse-led virtual outpatient clinics are now a familiar component of healthcare delivery across many disciplines,including cancer care,or thopedics,rheumatology,and gastroenterology.However,establishing a nurse-led vir tual clinic is challenging for nursing management,par ticularly regarding resources.We aimed to investigate nursing practices and processes and patient experiences in relation to vir tual outpatient clinics.Methods:This was a cross-sectional,descriptive study using mixed data collection methods.Patients(n=324)from 4 specialist clinics completed the Virtual Clinics Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire(VCSQ)survey.Five Nurse Specialists participated in a focus group interview.Results:Most participants(86.3%)reported being satisfied/very satisfied with the virtual clinics,particularly those that were nurse-led.Nurse specialists identified electronic health records(EHRs)and additional IT and administrative support as important for efficiency and effectiveness of the clinics.Conclusions:Nurse-led virtual clinics can be an effective and efficient way to provide care to patients.Nurse managers need to ensure supportive structures are in place,for example,dedicated administrators,IT support and infrastructure,education/training,and relevant policies/procedures.The success of nurse-led virtual services requires key infrastructure to support nursing staff and sustain this service.
文摘BACKGROUND Global tumor incidence rises and therapies advance,driving oncology nursing specialization.Granting nurses prescriptive authority optimizes care but polarizes nurses'attitudes due to factors like risk and competence,hindering policy implementation.AIM To investigate the current status of the attitudes of oncology specialist nurses toward having prescribing authority,specifically concerning symptom management and supportive care in oncology practice,and we conducted a path analysis of their influencing factors.METHODS As participants in the survey,oncology specialist nurses working in hospitals of different grades in Jiangsu Province were selected from March 2025 to May 2025 using a stratified sampling method.The questionnaires were administered using the general information questionnaire,the beliefs and attitudes about nurses'prescriptive authority scale,the nurses'professional identity scale,and the selfefficacy scale.Pearson’s method was used to analyze the correlation between beliefs and attitudes about the prescriptive authority,professional identity,and self-efficacy of nurses.Multiple linear regression was performed to analyze the factors influencing the beliefs and attitudes of nurses’prescriptive authority.The Amos plug-in was used to construct structural equation models to analyze the influencing pathways.RESULTS A total of 329 questionnaires were distributed,and 328 valid questionnaires were returned(effective recovery rate:99.70%).The total score of the 328 oncology nurses on the beliefs and attitudes about nurses'prescriptive authority scale was 101.88±15.13,indicating a moderately high level.Univariate analysis revealed that gender and hospital grade were associated with this score(P<0.05).The Pearson correlation analysis revealed that self-efficacy was positively correlated with the scores of the beliefs and attitudes about nurses’prescriptive authority scale and the nurses’professional identity scale(r=0.4999,P<0.0001 and r=0.7048,P<0.05,respectively),whereas occupational identity was positively correlated only with the former(r=0.6209,P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis revealed occupational identity and self-efficacy as the factors influencing the scores of the beliefs and attitudes about nurses’prescriptive authority scale(P<0.05).The results of the path analysis revealed that selfefficacy significantly positively affected nurses’occupational identity and their beliefs and attitudes about having prescriptive authority;occupational identity played a mediating role between the two,with a mediating effect accounting for 54.46% of the total effect,and the structural equation model was well-fitted.CONCLUSION Oncology nurses have more positive attitudes toward prescriptive authority.In addition,self-efficacy positively and indirectly affects nurses’attitudes toward prescriptive authority through the mediating effect of occupational identity.This can be used as a basis for clinical practice to take targeted measures to improve nurses’self-efficacy and occupational identity,thus creating favorable conditions for effectively implementing the policy of prescriptive authority.

文摘Objective Systematically integrate nurses’experience with“Internet Nursing Service”to analysis the nurses’experiences with“Internet Nursing Service”,and to provide a theoretical reference for formulating a more rational“Internet Nursing Service”model.Methods A systematic search in PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,the Cochrane Library,CINAHL,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Database,and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database was conducted to collect qualitative research on nurses’experiences with“Internet Nursing Service,”with a retrieval time limit from December 2019 to June 2024.Qualitative meta-synthesis was performed through line-by-line coding of relevant quotes,organization of codes into descriptive themes,and development of analytical themes.Results A total of 19 studies were included,one study was rated as Grade A in quality evaluation,and the remaining studies were rated as Grade B.Collectively synthesized into three integrated results:Harvest and growth,Difficulties and challenges,and Expectations and support.Harvest and growth,include 1)manifestation of self-value,2)enhancing nursing capabilities,3)optimizing nursing resources;Difficulties and challenges,include 1)lack of safety guarantee,2)role conflict;Expectations and support include,1)expectation for professional knowledge and skill training,2)expectations for service platform optimization,3)expectation for reasonable charges,4)expectation for related policy support.Conclusion“Internet Nursing Service”model benefits both nurses and patients,but still full of challenges.It aids in the decentralization of medical resources.Management departments still need to encourage nurses to actively invest in“Internet Nursing Service”while ensuring their safety and interests.

文摘Objectives Nurses’clinical research activities have contributed to optimizing the care process and improving patient outcomes,and generative artificial intelligence(GAI)may help clinical nurses strengthen their research skills.To support research,this study aimed to explore the Chinese nurses’perceptions and experiences of GAI training.Methods This study used a descriptive qualitative design.The China Nurses Network conducted a three-day training session on“GAI for Nursing Research”theme,we selected 23 nurses by a convenience sampling method among participating in the training.The researchers conducted three focus group interviews at the end of each day.All focus groups were interviewed face-to-face to facilitate interaction,data collection,and observation.The data were analyzed using conventional content analysis and coded manually.Results The results showed that nurses’use of GAI to support scientific research was dynamic and characterized by evolving perceptions and practices.Four themes and 11 sub-themes emerged from the analysis:1)utilization efficacy:cope with research ability,affected by many factors;2)booster research:growth and challenges go hand in hand;3)role reversal:from GAI-dominated to nurse-dominated;4)beautiful dream:more features on research,more assistants on clinical care.Conclusions The effectiveness of GAI in supporting clinical nurses in conducting research is mainly limited by differences in personal research literacy,lack of ethical regulation,and information accuracy.In the future,it is necessary to improve nurses’relevant skills through specialized training and promote the standardization of technical regulations to ensure the appropriate application of GAI in nursing research.
文摘Objectives:Nurses working in critical care units may encounter substantial work-related strain,and elevated levels of stress can lead to burnout,ultimately impacting both the quality of nursing care and their overall working experience.This study aimed to assess job burnout and determine the factors that contribute to it among critical care nurses in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.Methods:This study employed a descriptive,exploratory,cross-sectional research design.A total of 220 nurses employed in the critical care units of 5 private hospitals in the eastern region were selected for participation in this study using a convenience sample method.An electronic survey was distributed to critical care nurses in the Eastern Province who satisfied the specified inclusion criteria.The job burnout questionnaire utilized in this study was derived from previously conducted research,which has been established as a reliable and valid survey instrument.The process of data analysis was conducted utilizing the SPSS program.The scientific research conducted on human subjects adhered rigorously to all ethical considerations.Results:The highest percentage of nurses at the critical care units reported experiencing moderate levels of job burnout.Nurses exhibiting greater levels of professional experience demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in overall burnout scores when compared to their less experienced counterparts.Furthermore,within the realm of sociodemographic factors,it was found that the only significant independent predictor for job burnout was the level of experience among critical care nurses.Conclusions:The prevalence of burnout among nurses in critical care settings was found to be significant,with most participants reporting moderate levels of burnout which can yield significant ramifications for nurses and healthcare professionals.Consequently,healthcare organizations must accord primacy to the welfare of their staff and adopt proactive strategies to mitigate job burnout.
文摘Emergency department nurses face severe occupational stress leading to anxiety,depression,and burnout,which significantly impair their well-being and patientcare quality.This narrative review examined the role of mindfulness-based stress reduction(MBSR)in addressing these challenges.Rooted in nonjudgmental present-moment awareness,MBSR enhances emotional regulation and reduces psychological distress by fostering adaptive coping strategies.Studies have demonstrated its efficacy in lowering anxiety,depressive symptoms,and emotional exhaustion,while improving workplace well-being,empathy,and job satisfaction.Mechanistically,MBSR improves interoceptive awareness and autonomic balance,as evidenced by physiological markers such as heart rate variability.However,gaps remain in long-term efficacy assessments,personalized interventions,and integration with multidisciplinary approaches.Future research should prioritize tailored biomarker-driven programs,longitudinal studies,and scalable implementation strategies in high-stress clinical settings.This review underscores MBSR’s potential as a sustainable,evidence-based tool to enhance emergency department nurses’mental health and professional performance,advocating for broader adoption and further refinement of its practical applications.
文摘BACKGROUND Economic violence is a type of domestic violence in which an intimate partner attempts to oppress,restrict,or direct a female by exercising control over her financial resources.AIM To explore the impact of economic abuse on individual work performance and clarify the effective factors on financial exploitation among physicians and nurses.METHODS The study has a cross-sectional design,and 305 married,female physicians and nurses working in a university hospital were included.Data was collected with demographic characteristics forms,“Revised Scale of Economic Abuse”and“Individual Work Performance Questionnaire”.Pearson correlation,comparative analyses,and internal consistency reliability tests were used.RESULTS The average age was 39.04±9.41.Among the respondents 69.2%were nurses and 63.9%held a bachelor’s degree.The mean score for the Revised Scale of Economic Abuse was 2.80±4.73 while it was 3.86±0.60 for the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire.CONCLUSION Our study revealed no relationship between economic abuse and individual work performance,confirming that nurses are exposed to more economic abuse and exploitation than physicians and exhibit higher work performance.
文摘Objectives This study aimed to validate the Russian version of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(R-CBI)among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and explored factors contributing to burnout.Methods The original Copenhagen Burnout Inventory(CBI)was translated into the R-CBI using a rigorous forward-backward method and reviewed by experts.Between July and November 2022,1,530 nurses were recruited through convenience sampling method from various nursing settings in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to test the scale’s reliability and validity,including confirmatory factor analysis(CFA),internal consistency reliability,and concurrent validity.A linear regression analysis was conducted to identify influencing factors of burnout.Results The content of the R-CBI is consistent with the original CBI,consisting of 19 items with three dimensions.The Cronbach’sαcoefficient is 0.926 in Kazakhstan and 0.922 in Kyrgyzstan,ranging from 0.830 to 0.898 for three dimensions.The CFA results among nurses in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan supported the three-factor structure of R-CBI with good fit indices.Concurrent validity was established through significant correlations(P<0.001)with job satisfaction questionnaire(r=−0.457),Depression Anxiety Stress Scales(r=0.506 in depression,r=0.485 in anxiety,r=0.564 in stress),and WHO-5 Well-Being Index(r=−0.528).The overall burnout level was 36.1±17.6 and 37.5±17.4 in Kazakhstani and Kyrgyzstani nurses,respectively.Significant influencing factors of burnout included gender,age,educational level,and COVID-19 infection history.Conclusions The R-CBI was proved to be a reliable and valid tool for assessing nurses’burnout in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
文摘Objective:To assess knowledge and practice among nurses toward neonatal resuscitation in hospitals in Hebron.Methods:A cross-sectional study design was conducted among 151 nurses from Hebron.Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire.Multiple logistic regression was conducted to test the associated factors with the dependent variables.Results:Only 9.3%of participants had a standardized level of knowledge,while 68.9%reported adequate skills for neonatal resuscitation.Factors associated with a standardized level of knowledge were age(p=0.001)and supportive supervision(p=0.007).Factors associated with the standardized practice level were the presence of hospital guidelines(p=0.028),previous training of nurses(p=0.011),and the presence of supportive supervision(p<0.001).Conclusions:The majority of emergency nurses in Hebron hospitals demonstrated a substandard level of knowledge of neonatal resuscitation.However,most of those nurses surprisingly reported a standardized practice level.The presence of hospital guidelines,training programs,or direct supervision for nurses are factors that can be considered to improve both knowledge and practice toward neonatal resuscitation among emergency nurses in Hebron.

文摘Objective:The purpose of this study was to develop and psychometrically analyze the characteristics of the good nurse from the perspective of service recipients.Methods:The current research was conducted namely in 2 qualitative and psychometric phases.In the first stage,the items of the questionnaire were designed by interviews with nursing service recipients,and in the next stage,construct validity,content validity,face validity,reliability,and internal consistency were all reviewed.Results:Based on the results of the content analysis of the interview with nursing service recipients and related literature review,an 80-item questionnaire was designed.After analyzing its content validity,40 items were validated and 40 were eliminated,which were prepared by using exploratory factor analysis,6 factors of attentive and communicative,patron and companionable,complete caregiver,safer and skillful,advocate and confidant.The reliability of the tool was assessed by applying Cronbach’s alpha method of 0.90.Conclusions:“The good nurse characteristics tool”could be used to assess the service receivers’point of view and provide useful information regarding nurses’performance to managers and nurses and will provide the basis for improving the quality of nursing services.

文摘This article first reviews the basic concepts and theoretical frameworks of empathic ability.Subsequently,it analyzes the characteristics of student nurses'empathic ability,its measurement methods,and influencing factors,and explores effective strategies for enhancing it.Finally,this paper summarizes the impact of student nurses'empathic ability on nursing practice,professional development,and emotional health,and proposes directions for future research.Through the integration and analysis of existing literature,this study provides nursing educators with a solid theoretical foundation and practical guidance for enhancing student nurses'empathic ability.
