Volcanic hazard zoning is an effective way to reduce and mitigate volcanic risks.Due to its frequent magmatic unrest and potential for catastrophic eruption,the Changbaishan-Tianchi Volcano is currently the focus of attention for volcanic disaster prevention in China.This study uses past eruption data obtained from geological surveys and geochronological studies,to construct simulations of tephra fall,pyroclastic flows,lava flows,and lahars.Several widely accepted numerical models were adopted to simulate each hazard at different eruption scales.Hazard zoning was then conducted,producing a comprehensive hazards map of the Changbaishan-Tianchi Volcano.The map identifies areas of high,medium,and low hazard,mostly at 0-15,15-60,60-100 km from the edifice.This work serves as the scientific basis for the authorities and general public in the areas around the Changbaishan-Tianchi Volcano in planning for future response,as well as provides a reference for hazard zoning in other areas potentially affected by volcanic hazards. 展开更多

In this paper we propose two original iterated maps to numerically approximate the nth root of a real number. Comparisons between the new maps and the famous Newton-Raphson method are carried out, including fixed point determination, stability analysis and measure of the mean convergence time, which is confirmed by our analytical convergence time model. Stability of solutions is confirmed by measuring the Lyapunov exponent over the parameter space of each map. A generalization of the second map is proposed, giving rise to a family of new maps to address the same problem. This work is developed within the language of discrete dynamical systems. 展开更多

A 2D finite element model was established for inertia friction welding of GH4169 nickel-base superalloy based on the ABAQUS environment.The remeshing and map solution techniques were adopted to solve the problem of element distortion.The effect of rotation speed on the temperature field and axial shortening of joints was investigated.The results show that the interface temperature increases rapidly to higher than 900℃within 1s.And then,it increases slowly to a quasi-stable value.The axial shortening begins to augment quickly when a uniform interface temperature field has formed and the plasticized material is extruded from the interface to form an obvious flash.The rotation speed of the flywheel controls the welding process and has a significant influence on the temperature evolution and axial shortening of joints. 展开更多

This paper first analyzes the features of two classes of numerical methods for global analysis of nonlinear dynamical systems, which regard state space respectively as continuous and discrete ones. On basis of this understanding it then points out that the previously proposed method of point mapping under cell reference (PMUCR), has laid a frame work for the development of a two scaled numerical method suitable for the global analysis of high dimensional nonlinear systems, which may take the advantages of both classes of single scaled methods but will release the difficulties induced by the disadvantages of them. The basic ideas and main steps of implementation of the two scaled method, namely extended PMUCR, are elaborated. In this paper, we study the behavior of the solution at the crack edges for a nearly circular crack with developing cusps subject to shear loading. The problem of finding the resulting force can be written in the form of a hypersingular integral equation. The equation is then trans-formed into a similar equation over a circular region using conformal mapping. The equation is solved numerically for the unknown coefficients, which will later be used in finding the stress intensity factors. The sliding and tearing mode stress intensity factors are evaluated for cracks and displayed graphically. Our results seem to agree with the existing asymptotic solution. 展开更多

A New Numerical Method for DNA Sequence Analysis Based on 8-Dimensional Vector Representation

Background: The multiple sequence alignment (MSA) algorithms are the traditional ways to compare and analyze DNA sequences. However, for large DNA sequences, these algorithms require a long time computationally. Objective: Here we will propose a new numerical method to characterize and compare DNA sequences quickly. Method: Based on a new 2-dimensional (2D) graphical representation of DNA sequences, we can obtain an 8-dimensional vector using two basic concepts of probability, the mean and the variance. Results: We perform similarity/dissimilarity analyses among two real DNA data sets, the coding sequences of the first exon of beta-globin gene of 11 species and 31 mammalian mitochondrial genomes, respectively. Conclusion: Our results are in agreement with the existing analyses in our literatures. We also compare our approach with other methods and find that ours is more effective. 展开更多

Tephra fallout is an important type of hazard caused by explosive volcanic eruption, and numerical simulation has become a fast and effective approach to assess the dispersion and deposition of tephra fallout. According to the improved 2D diffusion model of Suzuki ( 1983), we edited a tephra diffusion program that can run in the Windows system. Based on previous data, we simulated the diffusion scope of the Jinlongdingzi volcanic eruption, which is the latest eruption in the Longgang volcanic cluster. The simulated results are in good agreement with the results from measurement in situ, indicating that the model is reliable and the parameters used in the model are suitable. By using wind profiles of ten years, 7, 021 simulations under different wind profiles were carried out, and then probabilistic hazard maps of tephra fallout were constructed for tephra thickness thresholds, lcm and 0.5cm. This study can provide an important scientific basis for volcanic hazard analysis, risk mitigation plans and countermeasures in the Longgang volcanic area. 展开更多

渗漏是土质堤坝的高发病害,瞬变电磁法有望实现堤坝深部渗漏低阻区的高效探测。采用有限元方法正演模拟了瞬变电磁场在堤坝内部扩散过程,揭示了瞬变电磁测量曲线对渗漏低阻区域的响应规律,量化分析了有、无渗漏通道磁感应强度的变化,最... 渗漏是土质堤坝的高发病害,瞬变电磁法有望实现堤坝深部渗漏低阻区的高效探测。采用有限元方法正演模拟了瞬变电磁场在堤坝内部扩散过程,揭示了瞬变电磁测量曲线对渗漏低阻区域的响应规律,量化分析了有、无渗漏通道磁感应强度的变化,最后结合实际工程开展了现场试验。结果表明:瞬变电磁场在堤坝内部呈椭球形扩散,渗漏低阻区使特定采样时间窗口的磁场分布相对集中、磁感应强度大幅增大,在多测道图上呈现为局部上凸型且表现出明显的体积效应;响应过程中,磁感应强度呈对数型降低,采用相对偏差值可凸显堤坝内部渗漏低阻区的响应;经现场试验和钻孔取芯比对,瞬变电磁法能够有效探测渗漏低阻区,相对偏差值多测道图和视电阻率图谱能够直观展示堤坝内部低阻分布区域。 展开更多

在变形温度723~873 K和应变速率0.0001~0.1 s^(-1)的条件下,对挤压态Mg-Mn-Ce合金进行了热压缩实验。依据获得的真实应力-应变曲线,分析了变形温度和应变速率对材料流动应力的影响规律;基于Arrhenius和BP-ANN模型建立了本构关系,并进行... 在变形温度723~873 K和应变速率0.0001~0.1 s^(-1)的条件下,对挤压态Mg-Mn-Ce合金进行了热压缩实验。依据获得的真实应力-应变曲线,分析了变形温度和应变速率对材料流动应力的影响规律;基于Arrhenius和BP-ANN模型建立了本构关系,并进行了准确性评估;利用BP-ANN模型获取的本构数据,绘制了热加工图并开展了数值模拟。结果表明:随着变形温度升高和应变速率降低,合金的流动应力下降;建立的BP-ANN模型预测的精度更高,相关系数可达0.9990,平均相对误差仅为2.69%;合金的热加工范围应选择在0.001~0.01 s^(-1)和773~823 K的范围进行;数值模拟与实验结果吻合较好,可以用来指导合金的热塑性成形。 展开更多

3~4岁幼儿数字映射习得水平及其与数字比较的关系

非符号数量、数词和阿拉伯数字是常用的数量表征形式.为探究3~4岁幼儿在1~9内不同数量表征之间的映射习得水平及其与数字比较的关系,招募49名小班幼儿完成6项数字映射任务、1项口头计数任务、1项非符号数量比较任务和1项数字比较任务.... 非符号数量、数词和阿拉伯数字是常用的数量表征形式.为探究3~4岁幼儿在1~9内不同数量表征之间的映射习得水平及其与数字比较的关系,招募49名小班幼儿完成6项数字映射任务、1项口头计数任务、1项非符号数量比较任务和1项数字比较任务.结果发现:幼儿的数词-阿拉伯数字映射表现优于数词-非符号数量和阿拉伯数字-非符号数量映射;3种数量表征之间的映射在映射方向上均不存在显著差异;阿拉伯数字-非符号数量映射对数字比较具有独立贡献,并显著中介了口头计数和数字比较的关系.上述结果表明,中国3~4岁幼儿在1~9内非符号数量、数词和阿拉伯数字之间的映射水平存在差异,相比于符号数量和非符号数量表征之间的映射,幼儿更易掌握符号数量表征之间的映射,且阿拉伯数字-非符号数量映射可能是中国幼儿形成早期数学能力的关键技能. 展开更多

由于电容传感器极板的边缘效应,导致其存在有边缘附加电容,使其灵敏度降低并产生非线性,对传感器的输出特性产生影响。为了研究组合式差动圆柱面电容倾角传感器在计及边缘效应情况下的输出特性,将保角变换法、格林函数法和计算机数值模... 由于电容传感器极板的边缘效应,导致其存在有边缘附加电容,使其灵敏度降低并产生非线性,对传感器的输出特性产生影响。为了研究组合式差动圆柱面电容倾角传感器在计及边缘效应情况下的输出特性,将保角变换法、格林函数法和计算机数值模拟相结合,首先讨论组合式差动圆柱面电容器其中一组差动传感器的输出特性,指出改善该组传感器输出特性的途径,然后在该组传感器输出特性的基础上,研究组合式差动圆柱面电容倾角传感器的输出特性。理论分析和数值模拟结果表明,可通过5个途径来改善组合式差动圆柱面电容倾角传感器的输出特性:一是使转动与固定极板所对的圆心角相等;二是减小2个固定极板间隙所对的圆心角;三是增大转动、固定极板的半径并减小其差值;四是在转动、固定极板所对的圆心角相等的情形下,增大其圆心角的数值至π/2,使该传感器的测量范围增大至π/2;五是适度增加该组合传感器的单元数。该项研究不仅为在计及极板边缘效应情况下的电容传感器电容量的计算提供了一种新的方法,也消除了极板横向边缘效应对其输出特性的影响,提高了电容传感器的测量精度,为传感器的设计与研究提供了一种新的思路,在科研上具有一定的理论意义和实用价值。 展开更多
