However, existing theoretical advancements face certain limitations: They either fail to address more complex nonlinear phenomena, rely on hard-to-verify assumptions, or encounter difficulties in solving system parameters.Consequently, this paper aims to address these challenges by investigating distributed observers for nonlinear systems through the full-measured canonical form(FMCF), which is inspired by full-measured system(FMS) theory. To begin with, this study addresses the fact that the FMCF can only be obtained through the observable canonical form(OCF) in existing FMS theories. The paper demonstrates that a class of nonlinear systems can directly obtain FMCF through state space equations, independent of OCF. Also, a general method for solving FMCF in such systems is provided. Furthermore, based on the FMCF, A distributed observer is developed for nonlinear systems under two scenarios: Lipschitz conditions and open-loop bounded conditions. The paper establishes their asymptotic omniscience and demonstrates that the designed distributed observer in this study has fewer design parameters and is more convenient to construct than existing approaches. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed methods is validated through simulation results on Van der Pol oscillators and microgrid systems.展开更多

In this paper, a nonlinear system with matched and mismatched disturbances is considered. The conventional extended state observer (ESO) can only be applied to systems that are in the form of integral chains. Moreover, this method has limitations in the face of mismatched disturbances. In the presence of time-varying disturbances, the traditional ESOs cannot estimate the disturbances accurately. To overcome this limitation, an EANESO is proposed in this paper. The main idea is to design the nonlinear ESO (NESO) to estimate the states of the system and multiple disturbances simultaneously. The observer gains are considered time-varying and adjusted with adaptation laws to improve the estimation accuracy and overcome the peaking phenomenon. Next, the proposed controller is designed based on output feedback to eliminate the effects of multiple disturbances and stabilize the closed-loop system. Subsequently, the stability analysis of the closed-loop system and convergence of the observer error are discussed. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the inverted pendulum system. The simulated results show good performance of the proposed method as compared with a recently published scheme in the related literature.展开更多

Instead of approximating thc cntire nonlinear system with the neural network (NN), only the un-modeled part left over after the lincarization is approximated. Compared with the conventional linear observer, the observer provides more accurate estimation of the state. The state estimation error is proved to asymptotically approach zero with the Lyapunov method. The simulation result shows that the proposed observer scheme is effective and has a potential application ability in the fault detection and identification (FDI), and the state estimation.展开更多

Moreover, the autopilot should be designed for the entire flight envelope where fast variations exist. In this paper, a design of integrated roll-pitch-yaw autopilot based on global fast terminal sliding mode control (GFTSMC) with a partial state nonlinear observer (PSNLO) for STT nonlinear time-varying missile model, is employed to address these issues. GFTSMC with a novel sliding surface is proposed to nullify the integral error and the singularity problem without application of the sign function. The proposed autopilot consisting of two-loop structure, controls STT maneuver and stabilizes the rolling with a PSNLO in order to estimate the immeasurable states as an output while its inputs are missile measurable states and control signals. The missile model considers the velocity variation, gravity effect and parameters' variation. Furthermore, the environmental conditions' dynamics are mod- eled. PSNLO stability and the closed loop system stability are studied. Finally, numerical simulation is established to evaluate the proposed autopilot performance and to compare it with existing approaches in the literature.展开更多

In order to improve the viability of aircraft and energy efficiency, intelligent variable pressure pump systems have been used in aircraft hydraulic systems more and more widely. Efficient fault diagnosis plays an important role in improving the reliability and performance of hydraulic systems. In this paper, a fault diagnosis method of an intelligent hydraulic pump system(IHPS) based on a nonlinear unknown input observer(NUIO) is proposed. Different from factors of a full-order Luenberger-type unknown input observer, nonlinear factors of the IHPS are considered in the NUIO. Firstly, a new type of intelligent pump is presented, the mathematical model of which is established to describe the IHPS. Taking into account the real-time requirements of the IHPS and the special structure of the pump, the mechanism of the intelligent pump and failure modes are analyzed and two typical failure modes are obtained. Furthermore, a NUIO of the IHPS is performed based on the output pressure and swashplate angle signals. With the residual error signals produced by the NUIO, online intelligent pump failure occurring in real-time can be detected. Lastly, through analysis and simulation, it is confirmed that this diagnostic method could accurately diagnose and isolate those typical failure modes of the nonlinear IHPS. The method proposed in this paper is of great significance in improving the reliability of the IHPS.展开更多

Although impressive results have rapidly emerged from the use of SDRE designs for observers and filters, the underlying theory is yet scant and there remain many unanswered questions such as stability and convergence. In this paper, Lyapunov stability analysis is utilized in order to obtain the required conditions for exponential stability of the estimation error dynamics. We prove that under specific conditions, the proposed observer is at least locally exponentially stable. Moreover, a new definition of a detectable state-dependent factorization is introduced, and a close relation between the uniform detectability of the nonlinear system and the boundedness property of the state-dependent differential Riccati equation is established. Furthermore, through a simulation study of a second order nonlinear model, which satisfies the stability conditions, the promising performance of the proposed observer is demonstrated. Finally, in order to examine the effectiveness of the proposed method, it is applied to the highly nonlinear flux and angular velocity estimation problem for induction machines. The simulation results verify how effectively this modification can increase the region of attraction and the observer error decay rate.展开更多

In many applications, demand for autonomous vehicles is growing;omnidirectional wheeled robots are suggested to meet this demand. They are flexible, fast, and autonomous, able to find the best direction and can move on an optional path at any time. Multi-agent omnidirectional wheeled robot(MOWR) systems consist of several similar or different robots and there are multiple different interactions between their agents, thus the MOWR systems have complex dynamics. Hence, designing a robust reliable controller for the nonlinear MOWR operations is considered an important obstacles in the science of the control design. A high order sliding mode is selected in this work that is a suitable technique for implementing a robust controller for nonlinear complex dynamics models. Furthermore, the proposed method ensures all signals involved in the multi-agent system(MAS) are uniformly ultimately bounded and the system is robust against the external disturbances and uncertainties. It is well known that induction motors are the most widely used motors in electrical appliances, industrial control and automation. However, it is also known that induction motor control is a complex task that is due to its nonlinear characteristics. Two main features of the proposed approach are worth to be mentioned. Firstly, a nonlinear control is carried out using a nonlinear feedback linearization technique involving non available state variable measurements of the induction motor system. Secondly, a nonlinear observer is designed to estimate these pertinent but unmeasurable state variables of the machine. The circle-criterion approach is performed to compute the observer gain matrices as a solution of LMI (linear matrix inequalities) that ensure the stability conditions, in the sense of Lyapunov, of the estimated state error dynamics of the designed observer. Simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.展开更多

Accurate and robust state reconstruction by an observer should be based on its nonlinear dynamic behavior. Linear and reduced order observers are undesired since intolerable error of state reconstruction may be expected especially if the operating conditions and/or the external disturbances are, as usual in modern power systems, extremely changed. The 2nd authors of this paper had published a methodical design of a full order nonlinear observer for turbogenerator systems and conducted its experimental validation on a 120 MVA and 1,000 MVA synchronous generators at Gud-Power Station in south Munich (Germany) and the Nuclear Power Station of Goesgen (Switzerland). In this paper, the Lyapunov's stability is applied to the mechanical slow motion of nonlinear observer. A second order Lyapunov function is introduced. Based on the energy interpretations of its terms, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of this nonlinear observer are derived.展开更多

Simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
文摘The dynamics of a turbogenerator are characterized by a nonlinearly interacting electrical and mechanical subsystems. Based on the energy interpretations of its terms, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of this nonlinear observer are derived.

文摘This paper investigates the path-following control problem with obstacle avoidance of autonomous surface vehicles in the presence of actuator faults, uncertainty and external disturbances.Autonomous surface vehicles inevitably suffer from actuator faults in complex sea environments, which may cause existing obstacle avoidance strategies to fail.To reduce the influence of actuator faults,an improved artificial potential function is constructed by introducing the lower bound of actuator efficiency factors. The nonlinear state observer, which only depends on measurable position information of the autonomous surface vehicle,is used to address uncertainties and external disturbances.By using a backstepping technique and adaptive mechanism,a path-following control strategy with obstacle avoidance and fault tolerance is designed which can ensure that the tracking errors converge to a small neighborhood of zero.Compared with existing results, the proposed control strategy has the capability of obstacle avoidance and fault tolerance simultaneously. Finally, the comparison results through simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘This study proposes an active surge control method based on deep reinforcement learning to ensure the stability of compressors when adhering to the pressure rise command across the wide operating range of an aeroengine.Initially, the study establishes the compressor dynamic model with uncertainties, disturbances, and Close-Coupled Valve(CCV)actuator delay.Building upon this foundation,a Partially Observable Markov Decision Process(POMDP)is defined to facilitate active surge control. To address the issue of unobservability,a nonlinear state observer is designed using a finite-time high-order sliding mode.Furthermore,an Improved Soft Actor-Critic(ISAC)algorithm is developed, incorporating prioritized experience replay and adaptive temperature parameter techniques,to strike a balance between exploration and convergence during training. In addition, reasonable observation variables,error-segmented reward functions, and random initialization of model parameters are employed to enhance the robustness and generalization capability. Finally,to assess the effectiveness of the proposed method, numerical simulations are conducted, and it is compared with the fuzzy adaptive backstepping method and Second-Order Sliding Mode Control(SOSMC)method. The simulation results demonstrate that the deep reinforcement learning based controller outperforms other methods in both tracking accuracy and robustness.Consequently, the proposed active surge controller can effectively ensure stable operation of compressors in the high-pressure-ratio and high-efficiency region.

文摘To solve the synchronization and tracking problems,a cooperative control scheme is proposed for a class of higher-order multi-input and multi-output(MIMO)nonlinear multi-agent systems(MASs)subjected to uncertainties and external disturbances.First, coupled relationships among Laplace matrix,leader-following adjacency matrix and consensus error are analyzed based on undirected graph.Furthermore, nonlinear disturbance observers(NDOs)are designed to estimate compounded disturbances in MASs,and a distributed cooperative anti-disturbance control protocol is proposed for high-order MIMO nonlinear MASs based on the outputs of NDOs and dynamic surface control approach. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme are proven based on Lyapunov stability theory and simulation experiments.
