The agents considered in most existing studies on consensus problem are time-invariant. However, in many cases, agent dynamics often show the characteristic of switching during the process of consensus. This paper considers consensus problem of general linear multi-agent system under both switching agent dynamics and jumping network topologies. Within the proposed multi-agent system, the agent dynamic switching is assumed to be deterministic, while the network topology jumping is considered respectively for two cases: deterministic jumping (Case 1) and Markov jumping (Case 2). By applying the dwell time and the average dwell time techniques, a sufficient consensus and an almost sure consensus conditions are provided for these two cases, respectively. Finally, two numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the theoretical results.展开更多

Applying the field theory to the dynamic magnitudes circumscribed to a body, our research has achieved a new conception of the coupling of these magnitudes, to better understand the behavior of solid rigid bodies, when subjected to multiple simultaneous, non-coaxial rotations. The results of the research are consistent with Einstein’s theories on rotation;however, we propose a different mechanics and complementary to classical mechanics, specifically for systems accelerated by rotations. These new concepts define the Theory of Dynamic Interactions (TDI), a new dynamic model for non-inertial systems with axial symmetry, which is based on the principles of conservation of measurable quantities: the notion of quantity, total mass and total energy. This theory deduces a general equation of motion for bodies endowed with angular momentum, when they are subjected to successive non-coaxial torques.展开更多

In particular, under certain assumptions, we investigate and propose conditions under which one can execute zero dynamics and controllable attacks in the CPS. The above conditions are derived based on the Markov parameters of the CPS and elements of the system observability matrix. Consequently, in addition to outlining the number of required actuators to be attacked, these conditions provide one with the minimum system knowledge needed to perform zero dynamics and controllable cyber-attacks. As a countermeasure against the above stealthy cyber-attacks, we develop a dynamic coding scheme that increases the minimum number of the CPS required actuators to carry out zero dynamics and controllable cyber-attacks to its maximum possible value. It is shown that if at least one secure input channel exists, the proposed dynamic coding scheme can prevent adversaries from executing the zero dynamics and controllable attacks even if they have complete knowledge of the coding system. Finally, two illustrative numerical case studies are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and capabilities of our derived conditions and proposed methodologies.展开更多

Time delay is ubiquitous in mechanical, physical, ecological, physiological, biological, economic, electronic, and chemical systems due to finite propaga- tion speeds of signals, finite reaction times, and finite processing times.
