Non-Abelian topological insulators are characterized by matrix-valued,non-commuting topological charges with regard to more than one energy gap.Their descriptions go beyond the conventional topological band theory,in ...Non-Abelian topological insulators are characterized by matrix-valued,non-commuting topological charges with regard to more than one energy gap.Their descriptions go beyond the conventional topological band theory,in which an additive integer like the winding or Chern number is endowed separately with each(degenerate group of)energy band(s).In this work,we reveal that Floquet(time-periodic)driving could not only enrich the topology and phase transitions of non-Abelian topological matter,but also induce bulk-edge correspondence unique to nonequilibrium setups.Using a one-dimensional,three-band model as an illustrative example,we demonstrate that Floquet driving could reshuffle the phase diagram of the non-driven system,yielding both gapped and gapless Floquet band structures with non-Abelian topological charges.Moreover,by dynamically tuning the anomalous Floquet π-quasienergy gap,non-Abelian topological transitions inaccessible to static systems could arise,leading to much more complicated relations between non-Abelian topological charges and Floquet edge states.These discoveries put forth periodic driving as a powerful scheme of engineering non-Abelian topological phases and incubating unique non-Abelian band topology beyond equilibrium.展开更多

Background:No clear evidence exists regarding the relationship between the systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)and the efficacy of first-line chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy in patients with advanced non-s...Background:No clear evidence exists regarding the relationship between the systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)and the efficacy of first-line chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).This study aimed to establish the relationship between the SII and survival of patients with advanced NSCLC.Methods:This study included 123 patients with advanced NSCLC.The cutoff value of the SII was determined to be 1172 using ROC curve analysis.We evaluated the relationship between the SII and progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)using the Cox regression model and Kaplan-Meier(KM)curve analysis.We stratified patients into multiple subgroups based on covariates such as age,sex,and smoking history.Subgroup analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between high SII,disease progression,and mortality risk.Results:Univariate analysis indicated that no significant difference existed between SII and PFS,but univariate analysis showed a significant association between SII and OS(hazard ratio[HR]=1.93,95% confidence interval[CI]=1.14-3.29,p=0.015).The fully adjusted Cox regression analysis also showed a significant correlation between the SII and OS after adjustment for covariables(HR=1.76,95%CI=1.02-3.02,p=0.041).In some subgroups,a high SII positively correlated with the risk of disease progression,and the relationship between a high SII and the risk of mortality was consistent in almost all subgroups.Conclusions:These results indicate that pretreatment SII may be an independent predictivemarker for patients with advanced NSCLC undergoing first-line chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy.However,large-scale prospective studies are required to confirm our results.展开更多

Topological states realized in metamaterials have provided a versatile platform for exploring topological physics and enabling novel applications,with topolectrical circuits emerging as a prominent example.However,pre...Topological states realized in metamaterials have provided a versatile platform for exploring topological physics and enabling novel applications,with topolectrical circuits emerging as a prominent example.However,previous research in this feld has primarily focused on lumped-element implementations,while non-lumped microwave circuits remain relatively underexplored.In this work,we design and investigate a one-dimensional non-lumped Su–Schriefer–Heeger topolectrical circuit composed of copper parallel-plate transmission lines and inductors,ofering compatibility with integrated microwave applications.Full-wave microwave simulations in the 0–10 GHz range show excellent agreement with theoretical predictions.The impedance spectrum of a fveunit-cell system displays periodic resonant passbands and stopbands corresponding to bulk states,while distinct high-Q(on the order of 10^(2))topological boundary resonances(TBRs)emerge within the stopbands,indicating the presence of localized edge states.Furthermore,the TBRs vanish when the system is reconfgured into the trivial phase,providing direct evidence of its topological nature.These response characteristics make the proposed resonator a promising candidate for future microwave devices and topological circuit applications.展开更多

BACKGROUND Cardiac resynchronization therapy(CRT)has been a major therapeutic advancement for patients with heart failure and electrical dyssynchrony.While CRT improves symptoms,reduces hospitalizations,and enhances s...BACKGROUND Cardiac resynchronization therapy(CRT)has been a major therapeutic advancement for patients with heart failure and electrical dyssynchrony.While CRT improves symptoms,reduces hospitalizations,and enhances survival,the role of implantable cardioverter-defibrillators(ICDs)alongside CRT in patients with non-ischemic cardiomyopathy(NICM)remains controversial.To evaluate and compare the outcomes of CRT with ICD(CRT-D)versus CRT with pacemaker-only(CRT-P)in individuals diagnosed with NICM,with a specific focus on the elderly.METHODS A comprehensive search of PubMed,Embase,and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials was conducted in January 2024.Studies comparing CRT-D and CRT-P in patients with NICM were included,with subgroup analyses focusing on patients aged 75 years and older.RESULTS Twelve studies,including two randomized clinical trials,with a total of 62,145 patients and 16,754 pooled death events(9,171 in CRT-D and 7,583 in CRT-P),were analyzed.CRT-D was associated with a significantly lower risk of all-cause mortality compared to CRT-P(pooled OR=0.72;95%CI:0.61-0.85;P<0.01),with significant heterogeneity(I2=83%).RCT subgroup analysis,was not statistically significant(pooled OR=0.82;95%CI:0.64-1.06;P=0.41;I2=0%).In patients older than 75 years,no significant difference in mortality risk was observed(pooled OR 0.96;95%CI:0.81-1.15;I2=39%).CONCLUSION Our meta-analysis suggests that the addition of ICD therapy to CRT in patients with NICM significantly reduces all-cause mortality.However,this benefit does not extend to cardiovascular mortality,likely due to the primary role of ICDs in preventing sudden cardiac death rather than other causes such as progressive heart failure.The survival advantage of CRT-D is most pronounced in younger patients,with those over 75 years of age deriving less benefit.This highlights the importance of careful patient selection,considering age and comorbidities,when deciding on ICD implantation in NICM patients.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Cardiac resynchronization therapy(CRT)has been a major therapeutic advancement for patients with heart failure and electrical dyssynchrony.While CRT improves symptoms,reduces hospitalizations,and enhances survival,the role of implantable cardioverter-defibrillators(ICDs)alongside CRT in patients with non-ischemic cardiomyopathy(NICM)remains controversial.To evaluate and compare the outcomes of CRT with ICD(CRT-D)versus CRT with pacemaker-only(CRT-P)in individuals diagnosed with NICM,with a specific focus on the elderly.METHODS A comprehensive search of PubMed,Embase,and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials was conducted in January 2024.Studies comparing CRT-D and CRT-P in patients with NICM were included,with subgroup analyses focusing on patients aged 75 years and older.RESULTS Twelve studies,including two randomized clinical trials,with a total of 62,145 patients and 16,754 pooled death events(9,171 in CRT-D and 7,583 in CRT-P),were analyzed.CRT-D was associated with a significantly lower risk of all-cause mortality compared to CRT-P(pooled OR=0.72;95%CI:0.61-0.85;P<0.01),with significant heterogeneity(I2=83%).RCT subgroup analysis,was not statistically significant(pooled OR=0.82;95%CI:0.64-1.06;P=0.41;I2=0%).In patients older than 75 years,no significant difference in mortality risk was observed(pooled OR 0.96;95%CI:0.81-1.15;I2=39%).CONCLUSION Our meta-analysis suggests that the addition of ICD therapy to CRT in patients with NICM significantly reduces all-cause mortality.However,this benefit does not extend to cardiovascular mortality,likely due to the primary role of ICDs in preventing sudden cardiac death rather than other causes such as progressive heart failure.The survival advantage of CRT-D is most pronounced in younger patients,with those over 75 years of age deriving less benefit.This highlights the importance of careful patient selection,considering age and comorbidities,when deciding on ICD implantation in NICM patients.
