HE's tube acupuncture technique was founded by Mr. HE Huiwu, a Master of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). Based on the theory of Zangfu organs and meridians, it draws on the essence of the academics of doctors in the past dynasties, especially the important theory of Huangdi Neijing to guide the clinical practice of acupuncture and moxibustion. This paper introduces the academic thought of HE's tube acupuncture. Mr HE believes that the pathogenesis of vertigo is mainly the first, kidney essence is deficient, and the heart fire burns alone, therefore disharmony occurs between heart and kidney. Secondly, liver and kidney Yin's deficiency, Yin is deficient while Yang is hyperactive or Yin is deficient and wind. Thirdly, the spleen Qi is deficient, Qingyang fails to ascend, and the main Zangfu organs are responsible for the liver, spleen and kidney. In the treatment, it emphasizes the characteristics of TCM paying attention to the whole, syndrome differentiation and treatment, selects the principal acupuncture points of the bladder meridian of foot Taiyang, kidney meridian of foot Shaoyin, hand Jueyin pericardium meridian, heart meridian of hand Shaoyin, include Kunlun(BL60), Yongquan(KI1), Neiguan(PC6), Fuliu(KI7), Daling(PC7),Shenmen(HT7), Shenmai(BL62), Tianzhu(BL10), Baihui(GV20), Beiyu points, etc. Finally, combined with the actual medical records, the clinical effect of HE's tube acupuncture technique in the treatment of vertigo is explained in detail. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the theory of tinnitus in Huangdi Neijing and identify effective traditional Chinese medicine treatments. Methods:A literature review and theoretical analysis of tinnitus were conducted to find better curative effect in clinical practice. Results:This study found that the Huangdi Neijing contains rich descriptions of the etiology, pathogenesis and treatment of tinnitus, and provides new ideas and methods for the syndrome differentiation and treatment of tinnitus. In addition,in the clinical treatment of tinnitus using acupuncture and moxibustion,HE’s acupuncture is based on the Huangdi Neijing, and combined with the method of“Seven Skills and Five Methods”is applied to treat tinnitus, regulate meridian Qi and blood, and restore the circulation of meridian Qi,achieving good practical results. Conclusions:Based on the academic thoughts of Huangdi Neijing and HE’s Tube Acupuncture, this study puts forward a dialectical method of“meridian-Zangfu-syndrome”combination.Clinical practice shows that it is helpful to improve the accuracy of tinnitus classification and the pertinence of treatment plan. 展开更多

Previous studies on translations of Huangdi Neijing(The Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic)have focused on English versions;little attention has been given to non-English translations. The present study is the first investigation of the reception of the seven Spanish versions of Huangdi Neijing in terms of three parameters:collection records in libraries worldwide;book reviews and citation counts in international journals;and customer reviews on Amazon. The results revealed four features of Spanish translations and communication of Huangdi Neijing in terms of reception of academia, reception of general readers, the center of translation and communication, and the role of Chinese scholars. These factors demonstrate the marginal status of Spanish translations of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)classics. The implications are summarized in hopes of promoting the translation and communication of TCM classics in the Spanish-speaking world and to provide insights into the communication of TCM culture in the non-English-speaking world. 展开更多

The unification and innovation of cancer pathogenesis is the key to the breakthrough of Chinese medicine. According to the related theory in Neijing, cancer in different parts of the body could be classified based on the five elements. Chinese mainland is divided into five parts: east, south, west, north and central section. Based on the annual data of China Cancer Center, we analyzed the data of 72 cancer registries covering 32 provinces and autonomous regions for consecutive 5 years. The results showed that the total incidence of the five regions in the mainland of China was statistically significant (F = 8.561, P 〈 0.01); the east was the highest, the west was the lowest, and the south, middle and north were in the middle level. The incidence of tumors in different parts of the human body was statistically significant (F = 523.382, P 〈 0.01). The incidence rate from high to low was lung, spleen, kidney, liver and heart. The heat is too much in China's eastern and the southern, and Qi is not too enough in the northwest. Five-Qi was imbalance. The pathogenesis of cancer is due to the two aspects, deficiency of five Zang-organs and abnormal seasonal climates. The viscera weakness for a long period and abnormal seasonal climates causes the body Yin and Yang disharmony, resulting in five zang organs dysfunction. 展开更多

Background:Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)as a traditional Chinese medical practice, has gradually evolved into a coherent and systematic medical science based on natural principles and applied to human beings over time. The publication of the“Huangdi Neijing”(The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine,Written between the Warring States period and the Qin and Han Dynasties, and finally compiled in the Western Han Dynasty, from 475 B.C.E.-8 C.E.)signified the establishment of a comprehensive theoretical framework for Chinese medicine.Due to the perspective of the‘correspondence between heaven and man’in TCM,the purpose of this paper is to explore the origin and development of the basic theories of TCM under the ancient astronomical view and the connection between the two. Methods:This paper emphases on the universe uninty with the humanities, philosophy, and medicine, starting with the forms of stargazing in ancient Chinese astronomy and the natural laws derived by the ancients from their observations of natural celestial phenomena. Results:Astronomy, arts and crafts, divination and medical correlations are based on the sequential changes of natural seasons. Conclusion:The operation of natural celestial phenomena and the characteristics of physical phenomena correspond to human physiology, and the development of the basic theories of Chinese medicine is inextricably linked to ancient astronomy, ancient philosophy, and ancient primeval science. 展开更多

The Pi(Spleen)is responsible for the formation and transportation, and it is in the center. It is the source of qi and blood generation and transformation,so it has an essential position. If the qi and blood are biochemically passive, the functions of the human body will age prematurely.Mitochondria are for energy synthesis and have always been a hot topic in modern medical research. Many of their functions are similar to those of the Pi in Chinese medicine. In Chinese medicine, strengthening the Pi is to enhance the Pi’s ability to transport and transform, and to speed up the Pi,which is similar to the ability of mitochondria to maintain the ability to remove damaged cells. This can speed up the body’s ability to absorb nutrients and delay aging. 展开更多

Acupuncture carried out with needles out of stone, bone, and probably wood and by using the methods of Ashi and local point needling started in the Stone Age in China. In historical times, the acupuncture of Neo'ing (Inner Canon) (Neijing acupuncture) was added to Ashi point acupuncture. In our times, acupuncture microsystems were introduced, usually beside the rules set up by qi and "the web that has no weaver". The question is whether the microsystems are located outside or within the "the web that has no weaver" and they are included in the theory of the Neijing acupuncture? Most of the microsystems rest on theories of their own based on the location of the acupoint, and do not care for their intersections with the "Neijing acupuncture", neither in theory nor in clinic. However, there exist two acupuncture theories to explain acupuncture, but which one is the better? These questions will be explained and discussed. 展开更多
