Background Guanine-rich RNA sequence binding factor 1(GRSF1)is an RNA-binding protein,which is eventually localised to mitochondria and promotes the translation of cytochrome C oxidase 1(COX1)mRNA.However,the role of ...Background Guanine-rich RNA sequence binding factor 1(GRSF1)is an RNA-binding protein,which is eventually localised to mitochondria and promotes the translation of cytochrome C oxidase 1(COX1)mRNA.However,the role of the miR-19-3p/GRSF1/COX1 axis has not been investigated in an experimental subarachnoid haemorrhage(SAH)model.Thus,we investigated the role of the miR-19-3p/GRSF1/COX1 axis in a SAH-induced early brain injury(EBI)course.Methods Primary neurons were treated with oxyhaemoglobin(OxyHb)to simulate in vitro SAH.The rat SAH model was established by injecting autologous arterial blood into the optic chiasma cisterna.The GRSF1 level was downregulated or upregulated by treating the rats and neurons with lentivirus-GRSF1 shRNA(Lenti-GRSF1 shRNA)or lentivirus-GRSF1(Lenti-GRSF1).Results The miR-19-3p level was upregulated and the protein levels of GRSF1 and COX1 were both downregulated in SAH brain tissue.GRSF1 silence decreased and GRSF1 overexpression increased the protein levels of GRSF1 and COX1 in primary neurons and brain tissue,respectively.Lenti-GRSF1 shRNA aggravated,but Lenti-GRSF1 alleviated,the indicators of neuronal injury and neurological impairment in both in vitro and in vivo SAH conditions.In addition,miR-19-3p mimic reduced the protein levels of GRSF1 and COX1 in cultured neurons while miR-19-3p inhibitor increased them.More importantly,Lenti-GRSF1 significantly relieved mitochondrial damage of neurons exposed to OxyHb or induced by SAH and was beneficial to maintaining mitochondrial integrity.Lenti-GRSF1 shRNA treatment,conversely,aggravated mitochondrial damage in neurons.Conclusion The miR-19-3p/GRSF1/COX1 axis may serve as an underlying target for inhibiting SAH-induced EBI by maintaining mitochondrial integrity.展开更多
Background The aim of this study was to determine whether and how Zn proteinate with moderate chelation strength(Zn-Prot M)can alleviate heat stress(HS)-induced intestinal barrier function damage of broilers.A complet...Background The aim of this study was to determine whether and how Zn proteinate with moderate chelation strength(Zn-Prot M)can alleviate heat stress(HS)-induced intestinal barrier function damage of broilers.A completely randomized design was used for comparatively testing the effects of Zn proteinate on HS and non-HS broilers.Under high temperature(HT),a 1(Control,HT-CON)+2(Zn source)×2(added Zn level)factorial arrangement of treatments was used.The 2 added Zn sources were Zn-Prot M and Zn sulfate(ZnS),and the 2 added Zn levels were 30 and 60 mg/kg.Under normal temperature(NT),a CON group(NT-CON)and pair-fed group(NT-PF)were included.Results The results showed that HS significantly reduced mRNA and protein expression levels of claudin-1,occludin,junctional adhesion molecule-A(JAMA),zonula occludens-1(ZO-1)and zinc finger protein A20(A20)in the jejunum,and HS also remarkably increased serum fluorescein isothiocyanate dextran(FITC-D),endotoxin and interleukin(IL)-1βcontents,serum diamine oxidase(DAO)and matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-2 activities,nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB)p65 mRNA expression level,and protein expression levels of NF-κB p65 and MMP-2 in the jejunum.However,dietary supplementation with Zn,especially organic Zn as Zn-Prot M at 60 mg/kg,significantly decreased serum FITC-D,endotoxin and IL-1βcontents,serum DAO and MMP-2 activities,NF-κB p65 mRNA expression level,and protein expression levels of NF-κB p65 and MMP-2 in the jejunum of HS broilers,and notably promoted mRNA and protein expression levels of claudin-1,ZO-1 and A20.Conclusions Our results suggest that dietary Zn,especially 60 mg Zn/kg as Zn-Prot M,can alleviate HS-induced intestinal barrier function damage by promoting the expression of TJ proteins possibly via induction of A20-mediated suppression of the NF-κB p65/MMP-2 pathway in the jejunum of HS broilers.展开更多
Environments with reciprocal patchiness of resources, in which the availability of two resources such as light and soil nutrients are patchily distributed in horizontal space and negatively correlated in each patch, a...Environments with reciprocal patchiness of resources, in which the availability of two resources such as light and soil nutrients are patchily distributed in horizontal space and negatively correlated in each patch, are common in many ecosystems. The strategies by which clonal plants adapt to this type of heterogeneous environment were examined in three stoloniferous herbs,Potentilla reptans L. var. sericophylla Franch., P. anserina L. and Halerpestes ruthenica (Jacq.) Qvcz., commonly inhabiting forest understories, grasslands and low saline meadows, respectively. As pairs of connected ramets were subjected to reciprocal patchiness of light and nutrients, stolon connection between the two ramets significantly enhanced biomass of both ramet growing in low light intensity but high soil nutrient condition (LH ramet) and ramet growing in high light intensity but low soil nutrient condition (HL ramet) as well as whole ramet pairs (consisting of LH ramets and HL ramets). Additionally, stolon connection greatly increased root/shoot ratio of LH ramet while significantly decreased that of HL ramet. The results indicate that a reciprocal transportation of resources between interconnected ramets and a functional specialization of ramets in uptake of abundant resources occurred. By resource sharing and functional specialization, clonal plants can efficiently acquire locally abundant resources and buffer the stress caused by reciprocal patchiness of resources.展开更多

One of their main tasks i...Cytochromes P450 s(CYPs) are terminal enzymes in CYP dependent monooxygenases, which constitute a superfamily of enzymes catalysing the metabolism of both endogenous and exogenous substances. One of their main tasks is to facilitate the excretion of these substances and eliminate their toxicities in most phase 1 reactions. Endogenous substrates of CYPs include steroids, bile acids, eicosanoids, cholesterol, vitamin D and neurotransmitters. About 80% of currently used drugs and environmental chemicals comprise exogenous substrates for CYPs. Genetic polymorphisms of CYPs may affect the enzyme functions and have been reported to be associated with various diseases and adverse drug reactions among different populations. In this review, we discuss the role of some critical CYP isoforms(CYP1 A1, CYP2 D6, CYP2 J2, CYP2 R1,CYP3 A5, CYP3 A7, CYP4 F3, CYP24 A1, CYP26 B1 and CYP27 B1) in the pathogenesis or aetiology of ulcerative colitis concerning gene polymorphisms. In addition, their significance in metabolism concerning ulcerative colitis in patients is also discussed showing a clear underestimation in genetic studies performed so far.展开更多
The effect of source size and emission time on the proton-proton(p-p)momentum correlation function(Cpp(q))has been studied systematically.Assuming a spherical Gaussian source with space and time profile according to t...The effect of source size and emission time on the proton-proton(p-p)momentum correlation function(Cpp(q))has been studied systematically.Assuming a spherical Gaussian source with space and time profile according to the function S(r,t)~exp(-r2/2 r02-t/τ)in the correlation function calculation code(CRAB),the results indicate that one Cpp(q)distribution corresponds to a unique combination of source size r0 and emission timeτ.Considering the possible nuclear deformation from a spherical nucleus,an ellipsoidal Gaussian source characterized by the deformation parameter∈=ΔR/R has been simulated.There is almost no difference of Cpp(q)between the results of spherically and ellipsoidally shaped sources with small deformation.These results indicate that a unique source size r0 and emission time could be extracted from the p-p momentum correlation function,which is especially important for identifying the mechanism of twoproton emission from proton-rich nuclei.Furthermore,considering the possible existence of cluster structures within a nucleus,the double Gaussian source is assumed.The results show that the p-p momentum correlation function for a source with or without cluster structures has large systematical differences with the variance of r0 andτ.This may provide a possible method for experimentally observing the cluster structures in proton-rich nuclei.展开更多
BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most common malignancies worldwide.AIM To explore the expression of microRNA miR-19a-3p and Forkhead box F2(FOXF2)in patients with CRC and the relevant mechanisms.METHODS...BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most common malignancies worldwide.AIM To explore the expression of microRNA miR-19a-3p and Forkhead box F2(FOXF2)in patients with CRC and the relevant mechanisms.METHODS Sixty-two CRC patients admitted to the hospital were enrolled into the study group,and sixty healthy people from the same period were assigned to the control group.Elbow venous blood was sampled from the patients and healthy individuals,and blood serum was saved for later analysis.MiR-19a-3p mimics,miR-19a-3p inhibitor,miR-negative control,small interfering-FOXF2,and short hairpin-FOXF2 were transfected into HT29 and HCT116 cells.Then quantitative polymerase chain reaction was performed to quantify the expression of miR-19a-3p and FOXF2 in HT29 and HCT116 cells,and western blot(WB)analysis was conducted to evaluate the levels of FOXF2,glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta(GSK-3β),phosphorylated GSK-3β(p-GSK-3β),β-catenin,p-β-catenin,α-catenin,Ncadherin,E-cadherin,and vimentin.The MTT,Transwell,and wound healing assays were applied to analyze cell proliferation,invasion,and migration,respectively,and the dual luciferase reporter assay was used to determine the correlation of miR-19a-3p with FOXF2.RESULTS The patients showed high serum levels of miR-19a-3p and low levels of FOXF2,and the area under the curves of miR-19a-3p and FOXF2 were larger than 0.8.MiR-19a-3p and FOXF2 were related to sex,tumor size,age,tumor-nodemetastasis staging,lymph node metastasis,and differentiation of CRC patients.Silencing of miR-19a-3p and overexpression of FOXF2 suppressed the epithelialmesenchymal transition,invasion,migration,and proliferation of cells.WB analysis revealed that silencing of miR-19a-3p and FOXF2 overexpression significantly suppressed the expression of p-GSK-3β,β-catenin,N-cadherin,and vimentin;and increased the levels of GSK-3β,p-β-catenin,α-catenin,and Ecadherin.The dual luciferase reporter assay confirmed that there was a targeted correlation of miR-19a-3p with FOXF2.In addition,a rescue experiment revealed that there were no differences in cell proliferation,invasion,and migration in HT29 and HCT116 cells co-transfected with miR-19a-3p-mimics+sh-FOXF2 and miR-19a-3p-inhibitor+si-FOXF2 compared to the miR-negative control group.CONCLUSION Inhibiting miR-19a-3p expression can upregulate the FOXF2-mediated Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway,thereby affecting the epithelial-mesenchymal transition,proliferation,invasion,and migration of cells.Thus,miR-19a-3p is likely to be a therapeutic target in CRC.展开更多
An enriched environment is used as a behavio ral intervention therapy that applies sensory,motor,and social stimulation,and has been used in basic and clinical research of va rious neurological diseases.In this study,...An enriched environment is used as a behavio ral intervention therapy that applies sensory,motor,and social stimulation,and has been used in basic and clinical research of va rious neurological diseases.In this study,we established mouse models of photothrombotic stroke and,24 hours later,raised them in a standard,enriched,or isolated environment for 4 weeks.Compared with the mice raised in a standard environment,the cognitive function of mice raised in an enriched environment was better and the pathological damage in the hippocampal CA1 region was remarkably alleviated.Furthermore,protein expression levels of tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6,nuclear factorκB p65,interleukin-6,and tumor necrosis factorα,and the mRNA expression level of tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 were greatly lower,while the expression level of miR-146a-5p was higher.Compared with the mice raised in a standard environment,changes in these indices in mice raised in an isolated environment were opposite to mice raised in an enriched environment.These findings suggest that different living environments affect the hippocampal inflammatory response and cognitive function in a mouse model of stro ke.An enriched environment can improve cognitive function following stroke through up-regulation of miR-146a-5p expression and a reduction in the inflammatory response.展开更多

BACKGROUND MicroRNAs(miRNAs)have been suggested as biomarkers for malignant diseases including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Specifically,hsa-miR-21-5p(miR-21)is among the most frequently deregulated miRNA in cancer.T...BACKGROUND MicroRNAs(miRNAs)have been suggested as biomarkers for malignant diseases including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Specifically,hsa-miR-21-5p(miR-21)is among the most frequently deregulated miRNA in cancer.The diagnostic and prognostic value of miR-21 has been demonstrated in HCC tissue,mostly in the Asian population.Although the impact of various factors has been recently reported for circulating hsa-miR-122-5p(miR-122),at present only limited knowledge is available for miR-21.AIM To evaluate the value of miR-21 for the assessment of prognosis in HCC patients and to delineate the influence of clinical and preanalytical factors on miR-21 level in sera.METHODS Patients with confirmed HCC from our European cohort with predominantly alcohol-associated liver damage were included in the study.All subjects were characterized according to their clinical and laboratory work-up and overall survival data were obtained.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction was performed for miR-21 and spiked-in cel-miR-39-3p.The results were compared to previously reported miR-122 data.RESULTS Survival of HCC patients was comparable between patients with low and high serum miR-21 concentration.No association was observed between miR-21 level in sera and Child-Pugh score,Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer staging system,or etiology of HCC/liver disease.Age,gender,or pretreatment had no association with miR-21 level.A positive correlation was observed between miR-21 and aspartate aminotransferase(r=0.2854,P=0.0061),serum miR-122(r=0.2624,P=0.0120),and the International Normalized Ratio(r=0.2065,P=0.0496).Negative correlation of miR-21 with serum creatinine(r=-0.2215,P=0.0348)suggests renal function as a potential influencing factor in miR-21 biogenesis in blood.CONCLUSION The results from this work do not support clinically relevant prognostic value of circulating miR-21 in HCC patients in real-life settings.Following systematic evaluation,we identified renal function and aspartate aminotransferase as potential factors that may affect miR-21 concentration in blood.This knowledge should be considered in future miRNA-based biomarker studies not only for HCC but also for other diseases.展开更多
Few studies have examined the effects of different stimuli at a single acupoint using functional magnetic resonance imaging.The present study applied acupuncture at the Neiguan(PC 6),Waiguan(SJ 5),Zhigou(SJ 6) a...Few studies have examined the effects of different stimuli at a single acupoint using functional magnetic resonance imaging.The present study applied acupuncture at the Neiguan(PC 6),Waiguan(SJ 5),Zhigou(SJ 6) and Yanglingquan(GB 34) acupoints in healthy volunteers.fMRI was used to examine the activation of brain areas in response to different types of acupuncture(cutaneous or routine acupuncture) at each acupoint.There were no significant differences in the distribution of activation in the regions of interest between cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Waiguan,and Zhigou acupoints,but some differences were observed between the two methods of acupuncture at the Yanglingquan acupoint.There were no significant differences in the intensity of induced activation between cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Zhigou and Yanglingquan acupoints,but the activation intensity in the right cerebellum induced by routine acupuncture at the Waiguan acupoint was greater than that induced by cutaneous acupuncture.Results confirmed that cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Waiguan,Zhigou and Yanglingquan acupoints activated different functional brain areas,and caused activation of different intensities in some areas.展开更多

As pairs of connected ramets were subjected to reciprocal patchiness of light and nutrients, stolon connection between the two ramets significantly enhanced biomass of both ramet growing in low light intensity but high soil nutrient condition (LH ramet) and ramet growing in high light intensity but low soil nutrient condition (HL ramet) as well as whole ramet pairs (consisting of LH ramets and HL ramets). Additionally, stolon connection greatly increased root/shoot ratio of LH ramet while significantly decreased that of HL ramet. The results indicate that a reciprocal transportation of resources between interconnected ramets and a functional specialization of ramets in uptake of abundant resources occurred. By resource sharing and functional specialization, clonal plants can efficiently acquire locally abundant resources and buffer the stress caused by reciprocal patchiness of resources.
文摘Cytochromes P450 s(CYPs) are terminal enzymes in CYP dependent monooxygenases, which constitute a superfamily of enzymes catalysing the metabolism of both endogenous and exogenous substances. One of their main tasks is to facilitate the excretion of these substances and eliminate their toxicities in most phase 1 reactions. Endogenous substrates of CYPs include steroids, bile acids, eicosanoids, cholesterol, vitamin D and neurotransmitters. About 80% of currently used drugs and environmental chemicals comprise exogenous substrates for CYPs. Genetic polymorphisms of CYPs may affect the enzyme functions and have been reported to be associated with various diseases and adverse drug reactions among different populations. In this review, we discuss the role of some critical CYP isoforms(CYP1 A1, CYP2 D6, CYP2 J2, CYP2 R1,CYP3 A5, CYP3 A7, CYP4 F3, CYP24 A1, CYP26 B1 and CYP27 B1) in the pathogenesis or aetiology of ulcerative colitis concerning gene polymorphisms. In addition, their significance in metabolism concerning ulcerative colitis in patients is also discussed showing a clear underestimation in genetic studies performed so far.

文摘The effect of source size and emission time on the proton-proton(p-p)momentum correlation function(Cpp(q))has been studied systematically.Assuming a spherical Gaussian source with space and time profile according to the function S(r,t)~exp(-r2/2 r02-t/τ)in the correlation function calculation code(CRAB),the results indicate that one Cpp(q)distribution corresponds to a unique combination of source size r0 and emission timeτ.Considering the possible nuclear deformation from a spherical nucleus,an ellipsoidal Gaussian source characterized by the deformation parameter∈=ΔR/R has been simulated.There is almost no difference of Cpp(q)between the results of spherically and ellipsoidally shaped sources with small deformation.These results indicate that a unique source size r0 and emission time could be extracted from the p-p momentum correlation function,which is especially important for identifying the mechanism of twoproton emission from proton-rich nuclei.Furthermore,considering the possible existence of cluster structures within a nucleus,the double Gaussian source is assumed.The results show that the p-p momentum correlation function for a source with or without cluster structures has large systematical differences with the variance of r0 andτ.This may provide a possible method for experimentally observing the cluster structures in proton-rich nuclei.
文摘BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most common malignancies worldwide.AIM To explore the expression of microRNA miR-19a-3p and Forkhead box F2(FOXF2)in patients with CRC and the relevant mechanisms.METHODS Sixty-two CRC patients admitted to the hospital were enrolled into the study group,and sixty healthy people from the same period were assigned to the control group.Elbow venous blood was sampled from the patients and healthy individuals,and blood serum was saved for later analysis.MiR-19a-3p mimics,miR-19a-3p inhibitor,miR-negative control,small interfering-FOXF2,and short hairpin-FOXF2 were transfected into HT29 and HCT116 cells.Then quantitative polymerase chain reaction was performed to quantify the expression of miR-19a-3p and FOXF2 in HT29 and HCT116 cells,and western blot(WB)analysis was conducted to evaluate the levels of FOXF2,glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta(GSK-3β),phosphorylated GSK-3β(p-GSK-3β),β-catenin,p-β-catenin,α-catenin,Ncadherin,E-cadherin,and vimentin.The MTT,Transwell,and wound healing assays were applied to analyze cell proliferation,invasion,and migration,respectively,and the dual luciferase reporter assay was used to determine the correlation of miR-19a-3p with FOXF2.RESULTS The patients showed high serum levels of miR-19a-3p and low levels of FOXF2,and the area under the curves of miR-19a-3p and FOXF2 were larger than 0.8.MiR-19a-3p and FOXF2 were related to sex,tumor size,age,tumor-nodemetastasis staging,lymph node metastasis,and differentiation of CRC patients.Silencing of miR-19a-3p and overexpression of FOXF2 suppressed the epithelialmesenchymal transition,invasion,migration,and proliferation of cells.WB analysis revealed that silencing of miR-19a-3p and FOXF2 overexpression significantly suppressed the expression of p-GSK-3β,β-catenin,N-cadherin,and vimentin;and increased the levels of GSK-3β,p-β-catenin,α-catenin,and Ecadherin.The dual luciferase reporter assay confirmed that there was a targeted correlation of miR-19a-3p with FOXF2.In addition,a rescue experiment revealed that there were no differences in cell proliferation,invasion,and migration in HT29 and HCT116 cells co-transfected with miR-19a-3p-mimics+sh-FOXF2 and miR-19a-3p-inhibitor+si-FOXF2 compared to the miR-negative control group.CONCLUSION Inhibiting miR-19a-3p expression can upregulate the FOXF2-mediated Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway,thereby affecting the epithelial-mesenchymal transition,proliferation,invasion,and migration of cells.Thus,miR-19a-3p is likely to be a therapeutic target in CRC.

文摘An enriched environment is used as a behavio ral intervention therapy that applies sensory,motor,and social stimulation,and has been used in basic and clinical research of va rious neurological diseases.In this study,we established mouse models of photothrombotic stroke and,24 hours later,raised them in a standard,enriched,or isolated environment for 4 weeks.Compared with the mice raised in a standard environment,the cognitive function of mice raised in an enriched environment was better and the pathological damage in the hippocampal CA1 region was remarkably alleviated.Furthermore,protein expression levels of tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6,nuclear factorκB p65,interleukin-6,and tumor necrosis factorα,and the mRNA expression level of tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 were greatly lower,while the expression level of miR-146a-5p was higher.Compared with the mice raised in a standard environment,changes in these indices in mice raised in an isolated environment were opposite to mice raised in an enriched environment.These findings suggest that different living environments affect the hippocampal inflammatory response and cognitive function in a mouse model of stro ke.An enriched environment can improve cognitive function following stroke through up-regulation of miR-146a-5p expression and a reduction in the inflammatory response.

文摘BACKGROUND MicroRNAs(miRNAs)have been suggested as biomarkers for malignant diseases including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Specifically,hsa-miR-21-5p(miR-21)is among the most frequently deregulated miRNA in cancer.The diagnostic and prognostic value of miR-21 has been demonstrated in HCC tissue,mostly in the Asian population.Although the impact of various factors has been recently reported for circulating hsa-miR-122-5p(miR-122),at present only limited knowledge is available for miR-21.AIM To evaluate the value of miR-21 for the assessment of prognosis in HCC patients and to delineate the influence of clinical and preanalytical factors on miR-21 level in sera.METHODS Patients with confirmed HCC from our European cohort with predominantly alcohol-associated liver damage were included in the study.All subjects were characterized according to their clinical and laboratory work-up and overall survival data were obtained.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction was performed for miR-21 and spiked-in cel-miR-39-3p.The results were compared to previously reported miR-122 data.RESULTS Survival of HCC patients was comparable between patients with low and high serum miR-21 concentration.No association was observed between miR-21 level in sera and Child-Pugh score,Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer staging system,or etiology of HCC/liver disease.Age,gender,or pretreatment had no association with miR-21 level.A positive correlation was observed between miR-21 and aspartate aminotransferase(r=0.2854,P=0.0061),serum miR-122(r=0.2624,P=0.0120),and the International Normalized Ratio(r=0.2065,P=0.0496).Negative correlation of miR-21 with serum creatinine(r=-0.2215,P=0.0348)suggests renal function as a potential influencing factor in miR-21 biogenesis in blood.CONCLUSION The results from this work do not support clinically relevant prognostic value of circulating miR-21 in HCC patients in real-life settings.Following systematic evaluation,we identified renal function and aspartate aminotransferase as potential factors that may affect miR-21 concentration in blood.This knowledge should be considered in future miRNA-based biomarker studies not only for HCC but also for other diseases.

文摘Few studies have examined the effects of different stimuli at a single acupoint using functional magnetic resonance imaging.The present study applied acupuncture at the Neiguan(PC 6),Waiguan(SJ 5),Zhigou(SJ 6) and Yanglingquan(GB 34) acupoints in healthy volunteers.fMRI was used to examine the activation of brain areas in response to different types of acupuncture(cutaneous or routine acupuncture) at each acupoint.There were no significant differences in the distribution of activation in the regions of interest between cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Waiguan,and Zhigou acupoints,but some differences were observed between the two methods of acupuncture at the Yanglingquan acupoint.There were no significant differences in the intensity of induced activation between cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Zhigou and Yanglingquan acupoints,but the activation intensity in the right cerebellum induced by routine acupuncture at the Waiguan acupoint was greater than that induced by cutaneous acupuncture.Results confirmed that cutaneous and routine acupuncture at the Neiguan,Waiguan,Zhigou and Yanglingquan acupoints activated different functional brain areas,and caused activation of different intensities in some areas.

It is the causative agent of Japanese encephalitis with approximately 50,000 infection cases and 10,000 fatal cases annually in Asia (Erlanger et al., 2009). Although liveattenuated JEV vaccine has been developed and used for human and pig vaccination, JE occurs epidemically or sporadically in some developing countries or even in vaccinated areas (Solomon, 2006). Host resistance factors play an important role in the outcome of viral infection.

文摘In this paper, a constructive theory is developed for approximating func- tions of one or more variables by superposition of sigmoidal functions. This is done in the uniform norm as well as in the L^p norm. Results for the simultaneous approx- imation, with the same order of accuracy, of a function and its derivatives (whenever these exist), are obtained. The relation with neural networks and radial basis func- tions approximations is discussed. Numerical examples are given for the purpose of illustration.
文摘Area integral functions are introduced for sectorial operators on L^p-spaces. We establish the equivalence between the square and area integral functions for sectorial operators on L^p spaces. This follows that the results of Cowling, Doust, McIntosh, Yagi, and Le Merdy on H^∞ functional calculus of seetorial operators on LP-spaces hold true when the square functions are replaced by the area integral functions.
