Optimization is the key to obtaining efficient utilization of resources in structural design.Due to the complex nature of truss systems,this study presents a method based on metaheuristic modelling that minimises stru...Optimization is the key to obtaining efficient utilization of resources in structural design.Due to the complex nature of truss systems,this study presents a method based on metaheuristic modelling that minimises structural weight under stress and frequency constraints.Two new algorithms,the Red Kite Optimization Algorithm(ROA)and Secretary Bird Optimization Algorithm(SBOA),are utilized on five benchmark trusses with 10,18,37,72,and 200-bar trusses.Both algorithms are evaluated against benchmarks in the literature.The results indicate that SBOA always reaches a lighter optimal.Designs with reducing structural weight ranging from 0.02%to 0.15%compared to ROA,and up to 6%–8%as compared to conventional algorithms.In addition,SBOA can achieve 15%–20%faster convergence speed and 10%–18%reduction in computational time with a smaller standard deviation over independent runs,which demonstrates its robustness and reliability.It is indicated that the adaptive exploration mechanism of SBOA,especially its Levy flight–based search strategy,can obviously improve optimization performance for low-and high-dimensional trusses.The research has implications in the context of promoting bio-inspired optimization techniques by demonstrating the viability of SBOA,a reliable model for large-scale structural design that provides significant enhancements in performance and convergence behavior.展开更多

Concrete-filled steel tubes(CFST)are widely utilized in civil engineering due to their superior load-bearing capacity,ductility,and seismic resistance.However,existing design codes,such as AISC and Eurocode 4,tend to ...Concrete-filled steel tubes(CFST)are widely utilized in civil engineering due to their superior load-bearing capacity,ductility,and seismic resistance.However,existing design codes,such as AISC and Eurocode 4,tend to be excessively conservative as they fail to account for the composite action between the steel tube and the concrete core.To address this limitation,this study proposes a hybrid model that integrates XGBoost with the Pied Kingfisher Optimizer(PKO),a nature-inspired algorithm,to enhance the accuracy of shear strength prediction for CFST columns.Additionally,quantile regression is employed to construct prediction intervals for the ultimate shear force,while the Asymmetric Squared Error Loss(ASEL)function is incorporated to mitigate overestimation errors.The computational results demonstrate that the PKO-XGBoost model delivers superior predictive accuracy,achieving a Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE)of 4.431%and R2 of 0.9925 on the test set.Furthermore,the ASEL-PKO-XGBoost model substantially reduces overestimation errors to 28.26%,with negligible impact on predictive performance.Additionally,based on the Genetic Algorithm(GA)and existing equation models,a strength equation model is developed,achieving markedly higher accuracy than existing models(R^(2)=0.934).Lastly,web-based Graphical User Interfaces(GUIs)were developed to enable real-time prediction.展开更多

Optimization problems are prevalent in various fields of science and engineering,with several real-world applications characterized by high dimensionality and complex search landscapes.Starfish optimization algorithm(...Optimization problems are prevalent in various fields of science and engineering,with several real-world applications characterized by high dimensionality and complex search landscapes.Starfish optimization algorithm(SFOA)is a recently optimizer inspired by swarm intelligence,which is effective for numerical optimization,but it may encounter premature and local convergence for complex optimization problems.To address these challenges,this paper proposes the multi-strategy enhanced crested porcupine-starfish optimization algorithm(MCPSFOA).The core innovation of MCPSFOA lies in employing a hybrid strategy to improve SFOA,which integrates the exploratory mechanisms of SFOA with the diverse search capacity of the Crested Porcupine Optimizer(CPO).This synergy enhances MCPSFOA’s ability to navigate complex and multimodal search spaces.To further prevent premature convergence,MCPSFOA incorporates Lévy flight,leveraging its characteristic long and short jump patterns to enable large-scale exploration and escape from local optima.Subsequently,Gaussian mutation is applied for precise solution tuning,introducing controlled perturbations that enhance accuracy and mitigate the risk of insufficient exploitation.Notably,the population diversity enhancement mechanism periodically identifies and resets stagnant individuals,thereby consistently revitalizing population variety throughout the optimization process.MCPSFOA is rigorously evaluated on 24 classical benchmark functions(including high-dimensional cases),the CEC2017 suite,and the CEC2022 suite.MCPSFOA achieves superior overall performance with Friedman mean ranks of 2.208,2.310 and 2.417 on these benchmark functions,outperforming 11 state-of-the-art algorithms.Furthermore,the practical applicability of MCPSFOA is confirmed through its successful application to five engineering optimization cases,where it also yields excellent results.In conclusion,MCPSFOA is not only a highly effective and reliable optimizer for benchmark functions,but also a practical tool for solving real-world optimization problems.展开更多

In the current era of intelligent technologies,comprehensive and precise regional coverage path planning is critical for tasks such as environmental monitoring,emergency rescue,and agricultural plant protection.Owing ...In the current era of intelligent technologies,comprehensive and precise regional coverage path planning is critical for tasks such as environmental monitoring,emergency rescue,and agricultural plant protection.Owing to their exceptional flexibility and rapid deployment capabilities,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have emerged as the ideal platforms for accomplishing these tasks.This study proposes a swarm A^(*)-guided Deep Q-Network(SADQN)algorithm to address the coverage path planning(CPP)problem for UAV swarms in complex environments.Firstly,to overcome the dependency of traditional modeling methods on regular terrain environments,this study proposes an improved cellular decomposition method for map discretization.Simultaneously,a distributed UAV swarm system architecture is adopted,which,through the integration of multi-scale maps,addresses the issues of redundant operations and flight conflicts inmulti-UAV cooperative coverage.Secondly,the heuristic mechanism of the A^(*)algorithmis combinedwith full-coverage path planning,and this approach is incorporated at the initial stage ofDeep Q-Network(DQN)algorithm training to provide effective guidance in action selection,thereby accelerating convergence.Additionally,a prioritized experience replay mechanism is introduced to further enhance the coverage performance of the algorithm.To evaluate the efficacy of the proposed algorithm,simulation experiments were conducted in several irregular environments and compared with several popular algorithms.Simulation results show that the SADQNalgorithmoutperforms othermethods,achieving performance comparable to that of the baseline prior algorithm,with an average coverage efficiency exceeding 2.6 and fewer turning maneuvers.In addition,the algorithm demonstrates excellent generalization ability,enabling it to adapt to different environments.展开更多

A switch from avian-typeα-2,3 to human-typeα-2,6 receptors is an essential element for the initiation of a pandemic from an avian influenza virus.Some H9N2 viruses exhibit a preference for binding to human-typeα-2,...A switch from avian-typeα-2,3 to human-typeα-2,6 receptors is an essential element for the initiation of a pandemic from an avian influenza virus.Some H9N2 viruses exhibit a preference for binding to human-typeα-2,6 receptors.This identifies their potential threat to public health.However,our understanding of the molecular basis for the switch of receptor preference is still limited.In this study,we employed the random forest algorithm to identify the potentially key amino acid sites within hemagglutinin(HA),which are associated with the receptor binding ability of H9N2 avian influenza virus(AIV).Subsequently,these sites were further verified by receptor binding assays.A total of 12 substitutions in the HA protein(N158D,N158S,A160 N,A160D,A160T,T163I,T163V,V190T,V190A,D193 N,D193G,and N231D)were predicted to prefer binding toα-2,6 receptors.Except for the V190T substitution,the other substitutions were demonstrated to display an affinity for preferential binding toα-2,6 receptors by receptor binding assays.Especially,the A160T substitution caused a significant upregulation of immune-response genes and an increased mortality rate in mice.Our findings provide novel insights into understanding the genetic basis of receptor preference of the H9N2 AIV.展开更多
Parameter extraction of photovoltaic(PV)models is crucial for the planning,optimization,and control of PV systems.Although some methods using meta-heuristic algorithms have been proposed to determine these parameters,...Parameter extraction of photovoltaic(PV)models is crucial for the planning,optimization,and control of PV systems.Although some methods using meta-heuristic algorithms have been proposed to determine these parameters,the robustness of solutions obtained by these methods faces great challenges when the complexity of the PV model increases.The unstable results will affect the reliable operation and maintenance strategies of PV systems.In response to this challenge,an improved rime optimization algorithm with enhanced exploration and exploitation,termed TERIME,is proposed for robust and accurate parameter identification for various PV models.Specifically,the differential evolution mutation operator is integrated in the exploration phase to enhance the population diversity.Meanwhile,a new exploitation strategy incorporating randomization and neighborhood strategies simultaneously is developed to maintain the balance of exploitation width and depth.The TERIME algorithm is applied to estimate the optimal parameters of the single diode model,double diode model,and triple diode model combined with the Lambert-W function for three PV cell and module types including RTC France,Photo Watt-PWP 201 and S75.According to the statistical analysis in 100 runs,the proposed algorithm achieves more accurate and robust parameter estimations than other techniques to various PV models in varying environmental conditions.All of our source codes are publicly available at https://github.com/dirge1/TERIME.展开更多

To enhance the real-time performance and computational efficiency of Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) in path planning, the AGA incorporates an Equal-Size Clustering Algorithm (ESCA) based on the K-means clustering method. The ESCA divides the primary task evenly into a series of subtasks, thereby reducing the gene length in the subsequent GA process. The algorithm then employs GA to solve each subtask sequentially. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, a simulation program was designed to perform path planning for 100 trajectories, and the results were compared with those of State-Of-The-Art (SOTA) methods. The simulation results demonstrate that, although the solutions provided by AGA are suboptimal, it exhibits significant advantages in terms of execution speed and solution stability compared to other algorithms.展开更多
The bat algorithm(BA)is a metaheuristic algorithm for global optimisation that simulates the echolocation behaviour of bats with varying pulse rates of emission and loudness,which can be used to find the globally opti...The bat algorithm(BA)is a metaheuristic algorithm for global optimisation that simulates the echolocation behaviour of bats with varying pulse rates of emission and loudness,which can be used to find the globally optimal solutions for various optimisation problems.Knowing the recent criticises of the originality of equations,the principle of BA is concise and easy to implement,and its mathematical structure can be seen as a hybrid particle swarm with simulated annealing.In this research,the authors focus on the performance optimisation of BA as a solver rather than discussing its originality issues.In terms of operation effect,BA has an acceptable convergence speed.However,due to the low proportion of time used to explore the search space,it is easy to converge prematurely and fall into the local optima.The authors propose an adaptive multi-stage bat algorithm(AMSBA).By tuning the algorithm's focus at three different stages of the search process,AMSBA can achieve a better balance between exploration and exploitation and improve its exploration ability by enhancing its performance in escaping local optima as well as maintaining a certain convergence speed.Therefore,AMSBA can achieve solutions with better quality.A convergence analysis was conducted to demonstrate the global convergence of AMSBA.The authors also perform simulation experiments on 30 benchmark functions from IEEE CEC 2017 as the objective functions and compare AMSBA with some original and improved swarm-based algorithms.The results verify the effectiveness and superiority of AMSBA.AMSBA is also compared with eight representative optimisation algorithms on 10 benchmark functions derived from IEEE CEC 2020,while this experiment is carried out on five different dimensions of the objective functions respectively.A balance and diversity analysis was performed on AMSBA to demonstrate its improvement over the original BA in terms of balance.AMSBA was also applied to the multi-threshold image segmentation of Citrus Macular disease,which is a bacterial infection that causes lesions on citrus trees.The segmentation results were analysed by comparing each comparative algorithm's peak signal-to-noise ratio,structural similarity index and feature similarity index.The results show that the proposed BA-based algorithm has apparent advantages,and it can effectively segment the disease spots from citrus leaves when the segmentation threshold is at a low level.Based on a comprehensive study,the authors think the proposed optimiser has mitigated the main drawbacks of the BA,and it can be utilised as an effective optimisation tool.展开更多

This paper presents an Eulerian-Lagrangian algorithm for direct numerical simulation(DNS)of particle-laden flows.The algorithm is applicable to perform simulations of dilute suspensions of small inertial particles in ...This paper presents an Eulerian-Lagrangian algorithm for direct numerical simulation(DNS)of particle-laden flows.The algorithm is applicable to perform simulations of dilute suspensions of small inertial particles in turbulent carrier flow.The Eulerian framework numerically resolves turbulent carrier flow using a parallelized,finite-volume DNS solver on a staggered Cartesian grid.Particles are tracked using a point-particle method utilizing a Lagrangian particle tracking(LPT)algorithm.The proposed Eulerian-Lagrangian algorithm is validated using an inertial particle-laden turbulent channel flow for different Stokes number cases.The particle concentration profiles and higher-order statistics of the carrier and dispersed phases agree well with the benchmark results.We investigated the effect of fluid velocity interpolation and numerical integration schemes of particle tracking algorithms on particle dispersion statistics.The suitability of fluid velocity interpolation schemes for predicting the particle dispersion statistics is discussed in the framework of the particle tracking algorithm coupled to the finite-volume solver.In addition,we present parallelization strategies implemented in the algorithm and evaluate their parallel performance.展开更多
Thetraditional first-order reliability method(FORM)often encounters challengeswith non-convergence of results or excessive calculation when analyzing complex engineering problems.To improve the global convergence spee...Thetraditional first-order reliability method(FORM)often encounters challengeswith non-convergence of results or excessive calculation when analyzing complex engineering problems.To improve the global convergence speed of structural reliability analysis,an improved coati optimization algorithm(COA)is proposed in this paper.In this study,the social learning strategy is used to improve the coati optimization algorithm(SL-COA),which improves the convergence speed and robustness of the newheuristic optimization algorithm.Then,the SL-COAis comparedwith the latest heuristic optimization algorithms such as the original COA,whale optimization algorithm(WOA),and osprey optimization algorithm(OOA)in the CEC2005 and CEC2017 test function sets and two engineering optimization design examples.The optimization results show that the proposed SL-COA algorithm has a high competitiveness.Secondly,this study introduces the SL-COA algorithm into the MPP(Most Probable Point)search process based on FORM and constructs a new reliability analysis method.Finally,the proposed reliability analysis method is verified by four mathematical examples and two engineering examples.The results show that the proposed SL-COA-assisted FORM exhibits fast convergence and avoids premature convergence to local optima as demonstrated by its successful application to problems such as composite cylinder design and support bracket analysis.展开更多
文摘Optimization is the key to obtaining efficient utilization of resources in structural design.Due to the complex nature of truss systems,this study presents a method based on metaheuristic modelling that minimises structural weight under stress and frequency constraints.Two new algorithms,the Red Kite Optimization Algorithm(ROA)and Secretary Bird Optimization Algorithm(SBOA),are utilized on five benchmark trusses with 10,18,37,72,and 200-bar trusses.Both algorithms are evaluated against benchmarks in the literature.The results indicate that SBOA always reaches a lighter optimal.Designs with reducing structural weight ranging from 0.02%to 0.15%compared to ROA,and up to 6%–8%as compared to conventional algorithms.In addition,SBOA can achieve 15%–20%faster convergence speed and 10%–18%reduction in computational time with a smaller standard deviation over independent runs,which demonstrates its robustness and reliability.It is indicated that the adaptive exploration mechanism of SBOA,especially its Levy flight–based search strategy,can obviously improve optimization performance for low-and high-dimensional trusses.The research has implications in the context of promoting bio-inspired optimization techniques by demonstrating the viability of SBOA,a reliable model for large-scale structural design that provides significant enhancements in performance and convergence behavior.
文摘To enhance the accuracy of path planning of unmanned surface vehicles(USVs),the particle swarm optimization algorithm(PSO)is improved based on species migration strategies observed in ecology.By incorporating the concept of particle sight distance,an improved algorithm,called SD-IPSO,is proposed for the real-time autonomous navigation of USVs in marine environments.The algorithm refines the individual behavior pattern of particles in the population,effectively improving both local and global search capabilities while avoiding premature convergence.The effectiveness of the algorithm is validated using standard test functions from CEC-2017 function library,assessing it from multiple dimensions.Sensitivity analysis is conducted on key parameters in the algorithm,including particle sight distance and population size.Results indicate that compared with PSO,SD-IPSO demonstrates significant advantages in optimization accuracy and convergence speed.The application of SD-IPSO in path planning is further investigated through a 14-point traveling salesman problem(TSP)example and navigation autonomous tests of USVs in marine environments.Findings demonstrate that the proposed algorithm exhibits superior optimization capabilities and can effectively address the path planning challenges of USVs.

文摘The airplane refueling problem can be stated as follows.We are given n airplanes which can refuel one another during the flight.Each airplane has a reservoir volume wj(liters)and a consumption rate pj(liters per kilometer).As soon as one airplane runs out of fuel,it is dropping out of the flight.The problem asks for finding a refueling scheme such that the last plane in the air reach a maximal distance.An equivalent version is the n-vehicle exploration problem.The computational complexity of this non-linear combinatorial optimization problem is open so far.This paper employs the neighborhood exchange method of single-machine scheduling to study the precedence relations of jobs,so as to improve the necessary and sufficiency conditions of optimal solutions,and establish an efficient heuristic algorithm which is a generalization of several existing special algorithms.
文摘With the rapid development of intelligent navigation technology,efficient and safe path planning for mobile robots has become a core requirement.To address the challenges of complex dynamic environments,this paper proposes an intelligent path planning framework based on grid map modeling.First,an improved Safe and Smooth A*(SSA*)algorithm is employed for global path planning.By incorporating obstacle expansion and cornerpoint optimization,the proposed SSA*enhances the safety and smoothness of the planned path.Then,a Partitioned Dynamic Window Approach(PDWA)is integrated for local planning,which is triggered when dynamic or sudden static obstacles appear,enabling real-time obstacle avoidance and path adjustment.A unified objective function is constructed,considering path length,safety,and smoothness comprehensively.Multiple simulation experiments are conducted on typical port grid maps.The results demonstrate that the improved SSA*significantly reduces the number of expanded nodes and computation time in static environmentswhile generating smoother and safer paths.Meanwhile,the PDWA exhibits strong real-time performance and robustness in dynamic scenarios,achieving shorter paths and lower planning times compared to other graph search algorithms.The proposedmethodmaintains stable performance across maps of different scales and various port scenarios,verifying its practicality and potential for wider application.

文摘Concrete-filled steel tubes(CFST)are widely utilized in civil engineering due to their superior load-bearing capacity,ductility,and seismic resistance.However,existing design codes,such as AISC and Eurocode 4,tend to be excessively conservative as they fail to account for the composite action between the steel tube and the concrete core.To address this limitation,this study proposes a hybrid model that integrates XGBoost with the Pied Kingfisher Optimizer(PKO),a nature-inspired algorithm,to enhance the accuracy of shear strength prediction for CFST columns.Additionally,quantile regression is employed to construct prediction intervals for the ultimate shear force,while the Asymmetric Squared Error Loss(ASEL)function is incorporated to mitigate overestimation errors.The computational results demonstrate that the PKO-XGBoost model delivers superior predictive accuracy,achieving a Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE)of 4.431%and R2 of 0.9925 on the test set.Furthermore,the ASEL-PKO-XGBoost model substantially reduces overestimation errors to 28.26%,with negligible impact on predictive performance.Additionally,based on the Genetic Algorithm(GA)and existing equation models,a strength equation model is developed,achieving markedly higher accuracy than existing models(R^(2)=0.934).Lastly,web-based Graphical User Interfaces(GUIs)were developed to enable real-time prediction.

文摘Frequency diverse array multiple-input multiple-output(FDA-MIMO)radar has gained considerable research attention due to its ability to effectively counter active repeater deception jamming in complex electromagnetic environments.The effectiveness of interference suppression by FDA-MIMO is limited by the inherent range-angle coupling issue in the FDA beampattern.Existing literature primarily focuses on control methods for FDA-MIMO radar beam direction under the assumption of static beampatterns,with insufficient exploration of techniques for managing nonstationary beam directions.To address this gap,this paper initially introduces the FDA-MIMO signal model and the calculation formula for the FDA-MIMO array output using the minimum variance distortionless response(MVDR)beamformer.Building on this,the problem of determining the optimal frequency offset for the FDA is rephrased as a convex optimization problem,which is then resolved using the cuckoo search(CS)algorithm.Simulations confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach,showing that the frequency offsets obtained through the CS algorithm can create a dot-shaped beam direction at the target location while effectively suppressing interference signals within the mainlobe.

文摘Optimization problems are prevalent in various fields of science and engineering,with several real-world applications characterized by high dimensionality and complex search landscapes.Starfish optimization algorithm(SFOA)is a recently optimizer inspired by swarm intelligence,which is effective for numerical optimization,but it may encounter premature and local convergence for complex optimization problems.To address these challenges,this paper proposes the multi-strategy enhanced crested porcupine-starfish optimization algorithm(MCPSFOA).The core innovation of MCPSFOA lies in employing a hybrid strategy to improve SFOA,which integrates the exploratory mechanisms of SFOA with the diverse search capacity of the Crested Porcupine Optimizer(CPO).This synergy enhances MCPSFOA’s ability to navigate complex and multimodal search spaces.To further prevent premature convergence,MCPSFOA incorporates Lévy flight,leveraging its characteristic long and short jump patterns to enable large-scale exploration and escape from local optima.Subsequently,Gaussian mutation is applied for precise solution tuning,introducing controlled perturbations that enhance accuracy and mitigate the risk of insufficient exploitation.Notably,the population diversity enhancement mechanism periodically identifies and resets stagnant individuals,thereby consistently revitalizing population variety throughout the optimization process.MCPSFOA is rigorously evaluated on 24 classical benchmark functions(including high-dimensional cases),the CEC2017 suite,and the CEC2022 suite.MCPSFOA achieves superior overall performance with Friedman mean ranks of 2.208,2.310 and 2.417 on these benchmark functions,outperforming 11 state-of-the-art algorithms.Furthermore,the practical applicability of MCPSFOA is confirmed through its successful application to five engineering optimization cases,where it also yields excellent results.In conclusion,MCPSFOA is not only a highly effective and reliable optimizer for benchmark functions,but also a practical tool for solving real-world optimization problems.
文摘Correlation function of acceleration responses-based damage identificationmethods has been developed and employed,while they still face the difficulty in identifying local orminor structural damages.To deal with this issue,a robust structural damage identification method is developed,integrating a modified holistic swarm optimization(MHSO)algorithm with a hybrid objective function.The MHSO is developed by combining Hammersley sequencebased population initialization,chaotic search around the worst solution,and Hooke-Jeeves pattern search around the best solution,thereby improving both global exploration and local exploitation capabilities.A hybrid objective function is constructed by merging acceleration correlation function-based and strain correlation function-based objective functions,effectively leveraging the complementary sensitivities of global and local responses.To further suppress spurious solutions and promote sparsity in parameter estimation,an additional L0.5 regularization term is introduced.The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through numerical simulations on a simply supported beam and a steel girder benchmark structure.Comparative studies with sequential quadratic programming,genetic algorithm,andHSO demonstrate that theMHSOachieves superior accuracy and convergence efficiency,even with limited sensors and 20%noise-contaminated measurements.Results highlight that the hybrid objective function significantly enhances the detection of both major and minor damages,while the inclusion of sparse regularization improves robustness against noise and model uncertainties.The findings indicate that the proposed framework provides a reliable and computationally efficient solution for simultaneous localization and quantification of structural damages,offering promising applicability to real-world structural health monitoring scenarios.
文摘Early and accurate detection of bone cancer and marrow cell abnormalities is critical for timely intervention and improved patient outcomes.This paper proposes a novel hybrid deep learning framework that integrates a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)with a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM)architecture,optimized using the Firefly Optimization algorithm(FO).The proposed CNN-BiLSTM-FO model is tailored for structured biomedical data,capturing both local patterns and sequential dependencies in diagnostic features,while the Firefly Algorithm fine-tunes key hyperparameters to maximize predictive performance.The approach is evaluated on two benchmark biomedical datasets:one comprising diagnostic data for bone cancer detection and another for identifying marrow cell abnormalities.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms standard deep learning models,including CNN,LSTM,BiLSTM,and CNN-LSTM hybrids,significantly.The CNNBiLSTM-FO model achieves an accuracy of 98.55%for bone cancer detection and 96.04%for marrow abnormality classification.The paper also presents a detailed complexity analysis of the proposed algorithm and compares its performance across multiple evaluation metrics such as precision,recall,F1-score,and AUC.The results confirm the effectiveness of the firefly-based optimization strategy in improving classification accuracy and model robustness.This work introduces a scalable and accurate diagnostic solution that holds strong potential for integration into intelligent clinical decision-support systems.

文摘Shor's algorithm outperforms its classical counterpart in efficient prime factorization.We explore the coherence and entanglement dynamics of the evolved states within Shor's algorithm,showing that the coherence in each step relies on the dimension of register or the order,and discuss the relations between geometric coherence and geometric entanglement.We investigate how unitary operators induce variations in coherence and entanglement,and analyze the variations of coherence and entanglement within the entire algorithm,demonstrating that the overall effect of Shor's algorithm tends to deplete coherence and produce entanglement.Our research not only deepens the understanding of this algorithm but also provides methodological references for studying resource dynamics in other quantum algorithms.
文摘In the current era of intelligent technologies,comprehensive and precise regional coverage path planning is critical for tasks such as environmental monitoring,emergency rescue,and agricultural plant protection.Owing to their exceptional flexibility and rapid deployment capabilities,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have emerged as the ideal platforms for accomplishing these tasks.This study proposes a swarm A^(*)-guided Deep Q-Network(SADQN)algorithm to address the coverage path planning(CPP)problem for UAV swarms in complex environments.Firstly,to overcome the dependency of traditional modeling methods on regular terrain environments,this study proposes an improved cellular decomposition method for map discretization.Simultaneously,a distributed UAV swarm system architecture is adopted,which,through the integration of multi-scale maps,addresses the issues of redundant operations and flight conflicts inmulti-UAV cooperative coverage.Secondly,the heuristic mechanism of the A^(*)algorithmis combinedwith full-coverage path planning,and this approach is incorporated at the initial stage ofDeep Q-Network(DQN)algorithm training to provide effective guidance in action selection,thereby accelerating convergence.Additionally,a prioritized experience replay mechanism is introduced to further enhance the coverage performance of the algorithm.To evaluate the efficacy of the proposed algorithm,simulation experiments were conducted in several irregular environments and compared with several popular algorithms.Simulation results show that the SADQNalgorithmoutperforms othermethods,achieving performance comparable to that of the baseline prior algorithm,with an average coverage efficiency exceeding 2.6 and fewer turning maneuvers.In addition,the algorithm demonstrates excellent generalization ability,enabling it to adapt to different environments.

文摘A new method based on the iterative adaptive algorithm(IAA)and blocking matrix preprocessing(BMP)is proposed to study the suppression of multi-mainlobe interference.The algorithm is applied to precisely estimate the spatial spectrum and the directions of arrival(DOA)of interferences to overcome the drawbacks associated with conventional adaptive beamforming(ABF)methods.The mainlobe interferences are identified by calculating the correlation coefficients between direction steering vectors(SVs)and rejected by the BMP pretreatment.Then,IAA is subsequently employed to reconstruct a sidelobe interference-plus-noise covariance matrix for the preferable ABF and residual interference suppression.Simulation results demonstrate the excellence of the proposed method over normal methods based on BMP and eigen-projection matrix perprocessing(EMP)under both uncorrelated and coherent circumstances.

文摘The problem of collision avoidance for non-cooperative targets has received significant attention from researchers in recent years.Non-cooperative targets exhibit uncertain states and unpredictable behaviors,making collision avoidance significantly more challenging than that for space debris.Much existing research focuses on the continuous thrust model,whereas the impulsive maneuver model is more appropriate for long-duration and long-distance avoidance missions.Additionally,it is important to minimize the impact on the original mission while avoiding noncooperative targets.On the other hand,the existing avoidance algorithms are computationally complex and time-consuming especially with the limited computing capability of the on-board computer,posing challenges for practical engineering applications.To conquer these difficulties,this paper makes the following key contributions:(A)a turn-based(sequential decision-making)limited-area impulsive collision avoidance model considering the time delay of precision orbit determination is established for the first time;(B)a novel Selection Probability Learning Adaptive Search-depth Search Tree(SPL-ASST)algorithm is proposed for non-cooperative target avoidance,which improves the decision-making efficiency by introducing an adaptive-search-depth mechanism and a neural network into the traditional Monte Carlo Tree Search(MCTS).Numerical simulations confirm the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.

文摘A switch from avian-typeα-2,3 to human-typeα-2,6 receptors is an essential element for the initiation of a pandemic from an avian influenza virus.Some H9N2 viruses exhibit a preference for binding to human-typeα-2,6 receptors.This identifies their potential threat to public health.However,our understanding of the molecular basis for the switch of receptor preference is still limited.In this study,we employed the random forest algorithm to identify the potentially key amino acid sites within hemagglutinin(HA),which are associated with the receptor binding ability of H9N2 avian influenza virus(AIV).Subsequently,these sites were further verified by receptor binding assays.A total of 12 substitutions in the HA protein(N158D,N158S,A160 N,A160D,A160T,T163I,T163V,V190T,V190A,D193 N,D193G,and N231D)were predicted to prefer binding toα-2,6 receptors.Except for the V190T substitution,the other substitutions were demonstrated to display an affinity for preferential binding toα-2,6 receptors by receptor binding assays.Especially,the A160T substitution caused a significant upregulation of immune-response genes and an increased mortality rate in mice.Our findings provide novel insights into understanding the genetic basis of receptor preference of the H9N2 AIV.

文摘Parameter extraction of photovoltaic(PV)models is crucial for the planning,optimization,and control of PV systems.Although some methods using meta-heuristic algorithms have been proposed to determine these parameters,the robustness of solutions obtained by these methods faces great challenges when the complexity of the PV model increases.The unstable results will affect the reliable operation and maintenance strategies of PV systems.In response to this challenge,an improved rime optimization algorithm with enhanced exploration and exploitation,termed TERIME,is proposed for robust and accurate parameter identification for various PV models.Specifically,the differential evolution mutation operator is integrated in the exploration phase to enhance the population diversity.Meanwhile,a new exploitation strategy incorporating randomization and neighborhood strategies simultaneously is developed to maintain the balance of exploitation width and depth.The TERIME algorithm is applied to estimate the optimal parameters of the single diode model,double diode model,and triple diode model combined with the Lambert-W function for three PV cell and module types including RTC France,Photo Watt-PWP 201 and S75.According to the statistical analysis in 100 runs,the proposed algorithm achieves more accurate and robust parameter estimations than other techniques to various PV models in varying environmental conditions.All of our source codes are publicly available at https://github.com/dirge1/TERIME.
文摘To address the shortcomings of traditional Genetic Algorithm (GA) in multi-agent path planning, such as prolonged planning time, slow convergence, and solution instability, this paper proposes an Asynchronous Genetic Algorithm (AGA) to solve multi-agent path planning problems effectively. To enhance the real-time performance and computational efficiency of Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) in path planning, the AGA incorporates an Equal-Size Clustering Algorithm (ESCA) based on the K-means clustering method. The ESCA divides the primary task evenly into a series of subtasks, thereby reducing the gene length in the subsequent GA process. The algorithm then employs GA to solve each subtask sequentially. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, a simulation program was designed to perform path planning for 100 trajectories, and the results were compared with those of State-Of-The-Art (SOTA) methods. The simulation results demonstrate that, although the solutions provided by AGA are suboptimal, it exhibits significant advantages in terms of execution speed and solution stability compared to other algorithms.

文摘The bat algorithm(BA)is a metaheuristic algorithm for global optimisation that simulates the echolocation behaviour of bats with varying pulse rates of emission and loudness,which can be used to find the globally optimal solutions for various optimisation problems.Knowing the recent criticises of the originality of equations,the principle of BA is concise and easy to implement,and its mathematical structure can be seen as a hybrid particle swarm with simulated annealing.In this research,the authors focus on the performance optimisation of BA as a solver rather than discussing its originality issues.In terms of operation effect,BA has an acceptable convergence speed.However,due to the low proportion of time used to explore the search space,it is easy to converge prematurely and fall into the local optima.The authors propose an adaptive multi-stage bat algorithm(AMSBA).By tuning the algorithm's focus at three different stages of the search process,AMSBA can achieve a better balance between exploration and exploitation and improve its exploration ability by enhancing its performance in escaping local optima as well as maintaining a certain convergence speed.Therefore,AMSBA can achieve solutions with better quality.A convergence analysis was conducted to demonstrate the global convergence of AMSBA.The authors also perform simulation experiments on 30 benchmark functions from IEEE CEC 2017 as the objective functions and compare AMSBA with some original and improved swarm-based algorithms.The results verify the effectiveness and superiority of AMSBA.AMSBA is also compared with eight representative optimisation algorithms on 10 benchmark functions derived from IEEE CEC 2020,while this experiment is carried out on five different dimensions of the objective functions respectively.A balance and diversity analysis was performed on AMSBA to demonstrate its improvement over the original BA in terms of balance.AMSBA was also applied to the multi-threshold image segmentation of Citrus Macular disease,which is a bacterial infection that causes lesions on citrus trees.The segmentation results were analysed by comparing each comparative algorithm's peak signal-to-noise ratio,structural similarity index and feature similarity index.The results show that the proposed BA-based algorithm has apparent advantages,and it can effectively segment the disease spots from citrus leaves when the segmentation threshold is at a low level.Based on a comprehensive study,the authors think the proposed optimiser has mitigated the main drawbacks of the BA,and it can be utilised as an effective optimisation tool.

文摘Algorithms are the primary component of Artificial Intelligence(AI).The algorithm is the process in AI that imitates the human mind to solve problems.Currently evaluating the performance of AI is achieved by evaluating AI algorithms by metric scores on data sets.However the evaluation of algorithms in AI is challenging because the evaluation of the same type of algorithm has many data sets and evaluation metrics.Different algorithms may have individual strengths and weaknesses in evaluation metric scores on separate data sets,lacking the credibility and validity of the evaluation.Moreover,evaluation of algorithms requires repeated experiments on different data sets,reducing the attention of researchers to the research of the algorithms itself.Crucially,this approach to evaluating comparative metric scores does not take into account the algorithm’s ability to solve problems.And the classical algorithm evaluation of time and space complexity is not suitable for evaluating AI algorithms.Because classical algorithms input is infinite numbers,whereas AI algorithms input is a data set,which is limited and multifarious.According to the AI algorithm evaluation without response to the problem solving capability,this paper summarizes the features of AI algorithm evaluation and proposes an AI evaluation method that incorporates the problem-solving capabilities of algorithms.

文摘This paper presents an Eulerian-Lagrangian algorithm for direct numerical simulation(DNS)of particle-laden flows.The algorithm is applicable to perform simulations of dilute suspensions of small inertial particles in turbulent carrier flow.The Eulerian framework numerically resolves turbulent carrier flow using a parallelized,finite-volume DNS solver on a staggered Cartesian grid.Particles are tracked using a point-particle method utilizing a Lagrangian particle tracking(LPT)algorithm.The proposed Eulerian-Lagrangian algorithm is validated using an inertial particle-laden turbulent channel flow for different Stokes number cases.The particle concentration profiles and higher-order statistics of the carrier and dispersed phases agree well with the benchmark results.We investigated the effect of fluid velocity interpolation and numerical integration schemes of particle tracking algorithms on particle dispersion statistics.The suitability of fluid velocity interpolation schemes for predicting the particle dispersion statistics is discussed in the framework of the particle tracking algorithm coupled to the finite-volume solver.In addition,we present parallelization strategies implemented in the algorithm and evaluate their parallel performance.

文摘Thetraditional first-order reliability method(FORM)often encounters challengeswith non-convergence of results or excessive calculation when analyzing complex engineering problems.To improve the global convergence speed of structural reliability analysis,an improved coati optimization algorithm(COA)is proposed in this paper.In this study,the social learning strategy is used to improve the coati optimization algorithm(SL-COA),which improves the convergence speed and robustness of the newheuristic optimization algorithm.Then,the SL-COAis comparedwith the latest heuristic optimization algorithms such as the original COA,whale optimization algorithm(WOA),and osprey optimization algorithm(OOA)in the CEC2005 and CEC2017 test function sets and two engineering optimization design examples.The optimization results show that the proposed SL-COA algorithm has a high competitiveness.Secondly,this study introduces the SL-COA algorithm into the MPP(Most Probable Point)search process based on FORM and constructs a new reliability analysis method.Finally,the proposed reliability analysis method is verified by four mathematical examples and two engineering examples.The results show that the proposed SL-COA-assisted FORM exhibits fast convergence and avoids premature convergence to local optima as demonstrated by its successful application to problems such as composite cylinder design and support bracket analysis.
