Pore size and distribution in carbon-based materials are regarded to be a key factor to affect the electrochemical capacitive performances of the resultant electrodes.In this study,nitrogen and oxygen codoped porous c...Pore size and distribution in carbon-based materials are regarded to be a key factor to affect the electrochemical capacitive performances of the resultant electrodes.In this study,nitrogen and oxygen codoped porous carbons(NOPCs) are fabricated based on a simple Schiff-base reaction between m-phenylenediamine and terephthalaldehyde.The NOPCs have tunable morphologies,high surface areas,abundant heteroatom doping.More importantly,the carbons show a dominant micropores of 0.5-0.8 nm,comparable to the ionic sizes of LiTFSI(Li^+0.069 nm;TFSI-0.79 nm) water-in-salt electrolyte with a high potential window of 2.2 V.Consequently,the fabricated symmetric supercapacitor gives a high energy output of 30.5 Wh/kg at 1 kW/kg,and high stability after successive 10,000 cycles with ^96.8% retention.This study provides promising potential to develop high-energy supercapacitors.展开更多
Carbonaceous materials are considered as ideal anode for potassium ion batteries(PIBs)due to their abundant resources and stable physical and chemical properties.However,improvements of reversible capacity and cycle p...Carbonaceous materials are considered as ideal anode for potassium ion batteries(PIBs)due to their abundant resources and stable physical and chemical properties.However,improvements of reversible capacity and cycle performance are still needed,aiming to the practical application.Herein,S/N/O tridoped carbon(SNOC)nanospheres are prepared by in-situ vulcanized polybenzoxazine.The S/N/O tridoped carbon matrix provides abundant active sites for potassium ion adsorption and effectively improves potassium storage capacity.Moreover,the SNOC nanospheres possess large carbon interlayer spacing and high specific surface area,which broaden the diffusion pathway of potassium ions and accelerate the electron transfer speed,resulting in excellent rate performance.As an anode for PIBs,SNOC shows attractive rate performance(438.5 mA h g^(-1) at 50 mA g^(-1) and 174.5 mA h g^(-1) at2000 mA g^(-1)),ultra-high reversible capacity(397.4 mA h g^(-1) at 100 mA g^(-1) after 700 cycles)and ultra-long cycling life(218.9 mA h g^(-1) at 2000 mA g^(-1) after 7300 cycles,123.1 mA h g^(-1) at3000 mA g^(-1) after 16500 cycles and full cell runs for 4000 cycles).Density functional theory calculation confirms that S/N/O tri-doping enhances the adsorption and diffusion of potassium ions,and in-situ Fourier-transform infrared explores explored the potassium storage mechanism of SNOC.展开更多
A new nonporous Zn-based metal-organic framework(NPMOF) synthesized from a high nitrogencontaining rigid ligand was converted into porous carbon materials by direct carbonization without adding additional carbon sourc...A new nonporous Zn-based metal-organic framework(NPMOF) synthesized from a high nitrogencontaining rigid ligand was converted into porous carbon materials by direct carbonization without adding additional carbon sources.A series of NPMOF-derived porous carbons with very high N/O contents(24.1% for NPMOF-700,20.2% for NPMOF-800,15.1% for NPMOF-900) were prepared by adjusting the pyrolysis temperatures.The NPMOF-800 fabrica ted electrode exhibits a high capacitance of220 F/g and extremely large surface area normalized capacitance of 57.7 μF/cm~2 compared to other reported MOF-derived porous carbon electrodes,which could be attributed to the abundant ultramicroporosity and high N/O co-doping.More importantly,symmetric supercapacitor assembled with the MOF-derived carbon manifests prominent stability,i.e.,99.1 % capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles at 1.0 A/g.This simple preparation of MOF-derived porous carbon materials not only finds an application direction for a variety of porous or even nonporous MOFs,but also opens a way for the production of porous carbon materials for superior energy storage.展开更多
The hierarchical porous N/O co-functionalized carbon(HPNOC)was scalably prepared by using the lowcost and renewable blighted grains as the raw material coupled with mild KHCO_3 activation for electrochemical capacitor...The hierarchical porous N/O co-functionalized carbon(HPNOC)was scalably prepared by using the lowcost and renewable blighted grains as the raw material coupled with mild KHCO_3 activation for electrochemical capacitors(ECs).The elemental N was in situ doped in the obtained HPNOC without any N-containing additives.Remarkably,the obtained HPNOC was endowed with a large specific surface area(about 2 624m^2·g^(-1)),high pore volume(about 1.35cm^3·g^(-1)),as well as high-content N/O functionalization(about 1.9%(in atom)N and about 10.2%(in atom)O.Furthermore,the as-resulted HPNOC electrode with a high mass loading of 5mg·cm^(-2 )exhibited competitive gravimetric capacitances of about 373.6F·g^(-1 )at 0.5A·g^(-1),and even about 260.4F·g^(-1 )at a high rate of 10A·g^(-1);superior capacitance retention of about 98.8%at 1A·g^(-1 )over 10 000consecutive cycles;and high specific energy of about 9.6W·h·kg^(-1 )at a power of 500W·kg^(-1),when evaluated as a promising electrode in 6mol KOH for advanced electrochemical supercapacitors.More encouragingly,the green synthetic strategy we developed holds a huge promise in generalizing for other biomass-derived carbon materials for versatile energy-related applications.展开更多
A facile fabrication strategy is reported to obtain N/O codoped porous carbon nanosheets for pur-pose of ameliorating the charge transfer and accumulation in the concentrated LiTFSI(lithium bis(trifluoromethane sulfon...A facile fabrication strategy is reported to obtain N/O codoped porous carbon nanosheets for pur-pose of ameliorating the charge transfer and accumulation in the concentrated LiTFSI(lithium bis(trifluoromethane sulfonyl)imide)electrolyte.By tunning the feed ratio of comonomers,the porous nanosheet structure is endowed with a significant ion-adsorption surface area(1630 m^(2)/g)and intercon-nected hierarchical porosity;meanwhile,high-level N/O dopants(N:3.58 at%,O:12.91 at%)increase the effective contact area for electrolyte ions,and further facilitate rapid ion/electron transfer.Benefiting from the advantageous features,carbon nanosheets electrode reveal an enhanced specific capacitance(375 F/g)in three-electrode configuration and the H_(2)SO_(4)-based device yields a high gravimetric energy density of 11.4 Wh/kg.Particularly,the ion-diffusion highways in porous carbon nanosheets contribute to the 2.25 V LiTFSI-based symmetric device with a high energy delivery up to 33.1 Wh/kg.This work offers an in-spiring strategy for facile fabrication of carbon nanosheets,and demonstrates their promising application in“water-in-salt”electrolyte-based supercapacitor systems.展开更多
Heteroatom-doped porous carbon materials have been widely studied due to their high specific surface area and high heteroatom content,but it is difficult to achieve high specific surface area and high heteroatom conte...Heteroatom-doped porous carbon materials have been widely studied due to their high specific surface area and high heteroatom content,but it is difficult to achieve high specific surface area and high heteroatom content at the same time.Herein,a simple method is introduced to prepare N/O co-doped hierarchical porous carbon materials(DNZKs).Phthalonitrile resins(DNZs)were prepared by using 1,3-bis(3,4-dicyanophenoxy)benzene as raw material and ZnCl_(2)/urea as composite curing agent,and then using KOH as activator to successfully prepare DNZKs with high specific surface area,developed pores and high N/O content.The porous carbon material(DNZK@400)obtained at a curing temperature of 400℃ has the highest N content(4.97%(mass)),a large specific surface area(2026 m^(2)·g^(-1)),a high micropore proportion(0.9),a high O content(7.53%(mass)),and the best specific capacitance(up to 567 F·g^(-1) at 0.1 A·g^(-1)),which can be attribute to the high temperature resistance of the nitrogencontaining aromatic heterocyclic structure in DNZs.When the mass ratio of resin and KOH is 1:1,the specific capacitance of the sample tested by the acid three-electrode system is obtained,and it is found that the material has high cycling stability(119%specific capacitance retention after 100,000 cycle tests).This work proposes a simple and easy-to-operate method for the preparation of multifunctional porous carbon.展开更多
