Considering the resolution and space coverage of different remote sensing data, two types of sea surface height(SSH) product are employed in the assimilation, including the gridded products from AVISO and the original along-track observations used in the generation. To explore their impact on the assimilation results, an experiment focus on the South China Sea(SCS) is conducted based on the Regional Ocean Modeling System(ROMS) and the four-dimensional variational data assimilation(4 DVAR) technology. The comparison with EN4 data set and Argo profile indicates that, the along-track SSH assimilation result presents to be more accurate than the gridded SSH assimilation, because some noises may have been introduced in the merging process. Moreover, the mesoscale eddy detection capability of the assimilation results is analyzed by a vector geometry–based algorithm. It is verified that, the assimilation of the gridded SSH shows superiority in describing the eddy's characteristics, since the complete structure of the ocean surface has been reconstructed by the original data merging.展开更多

An EDFM is developed based on the corner grid, which enables high efficient calculation of the transmissibility between the embedded fractures and matrix grids, and calculation of the permeability of each polygon in the embedded fractures by the lattice data of the artificial fracture aperture. On this basis, a coupling method of local grid refinement(LGR) and embedded discrete fracture model is designed, which is verified by comparing the calculation results with the Discrete Fracture Network(DFN) method and fitting the actual production data of the first hydraulically fractured well in Iraq. By using this method and orthogonal experimental design, the optimization of the parameters of the first multi-stage fractured horizontal well in the same block is completed. The results show the proposed method has theoretical and practical significance for improving the adaptability of EDFM and the accuracy of productivity prediction of fractured wells, and enables the coupling of fracture modeling and numerical productivity simulation at reservoir scale.展开更多

Although advanced Blasingame production decline analysis methods for vertical wells, fractured wells and horizontal wells are widely used, limited study has conducted on Blasingame production decline type curves for multi-fractured horizontal well(MFHW). Based on the perpendicular bisection(PEBI) grids, a numerical model was developed and the solution was obtained using control volume finite element method and the fully implicit method. Blasingame production decline-type curves of the infinitely conductive MFHW were plotted through computer programming. A field case was presented to analyse and verify the model developed. Five flow regimes, including early formation linear flow, early radial flow, compound linear flow, transient flow and pseudo-radial flow, are recognized. Fracture spacing is the main factor that affects early radial flow, compound linear flow and transient flow, the distance from the well to the circular boundary affects the pseudo-radial flow, and the type curves are also significantly affected by the formation permeability, fracture number and fracture half-length. The validation of field case suggests that the Blasingame production decline type curves proposed in this work can be applied to the production decline analysis for MFHW in tight gas reservoirs.展开更多

The corrosion rate was evaluated with the mass loss measurements, while the corrosion morphology of surface and cross section of rust layer was observed by scanning electron microscopy. The corrosion products were analyzed by energy- dispersive X-ray spectrometry, X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and the polarization curve was measured using potentiodynamic polarization method. Results indicated that C 1 steel displayed good corrosion resistance in the simulated acidic soil, of which the corrosion rate was only 30% of that of Q235 steel after corrosion for 360 h. The analysis of rust layer showed that lower carbon content in steel could reduce the tendency of micro cell corrosion and appropriate amount of chromium could improve the corrosion potential of metal matrix. Moreover, the analysis of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed that the chromium enriched in inner rust layer of C1 steel existed mainly in the form of Fe2CrO4, which facilitated the formation of Cr-goethite and improved the protection of corrosion products.展开更多

A controlled solar energy heated system was employed to maintain the anaerobic bioreactor at 40<span style="white-space:normal;">°</span>C (mesophilic range). Sludge and wastewater, from wastewater treatment plant, was used as a seeding material to activate bacteria. Production of biogas was observed after 3 days of incubation. On average, a total of 94 liters/sample were obtained at 25°C and atmospheric pressure. This amount of gas is equivalent to 258 liters/kg (Standard Temperature and Pressure, STP) of sheep manure. The biogas average composition was 65% methane and 35% CO2, and the retention time was 35 days. Control runs at room temperature did not produce appreciable amount of biogas within the 35 days of incubation. The potential of biomass was studied based on estimated sheep manure production for the period of 2010-2016 in Jordan. The results obtained from the designed process were used to estimate the bio-gas production indicating a promising process to produce biogas by a burial bio-waste system. Upon scale-up of this process, biomass from different sources can be processed within short residence time, which will result in appreciable reduction of land fill areas and significant production of biogas that will contribute to the energy power mix in a non-oil producing country, such as Jordan.展开更多

The main research questions of this study are: (1) How have some typical residential smart grid pilots in the Netherlands been set up? (2) Which stakeholders are involved in these pilots in the year 2014? (3) What are their views and perceptions with regards to the development and performance of residential smart grids? and (4) What do these stakeholders think about the products and services that may support an active participation of end-users in a smart energy home? To obtain information, we evaluated five residential smart grid pilot projects where smart energy products and services have been implemented. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with nine stakeholders involved in these projects. The Strategic Niche management framework was used to identify the present state of development and implementation of smart grid pilots. Our study shows that in the Netherlands residential smart grid pilots have been set-up and funded mainly by the government and grid operators. Other stakeholders involved include energy suppliers, end-users (as an energy cooperative or individual household), product and service suppliers, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) companies, and knowledge institutes. Currently a technology-push approach exists which barely includes an integrated approach towards smart grids products and services development. To the opinion of the interviewed stakeholders, current products and services offered in residential smart grid pilots are functionally attractive, but often too technically complex for the understanding of end-users. Hence, the general view held by respondents is that end-users should be the starting point in the development of smart grid products and services at the residential areas.展开更多

文摘Considering snowmelt in mountainous areas as the important source of streamflow, the snow accumulation/melting processes are vital for accurate simulation of the hydrological regimes. The lack of snow-related data and its uncertainties/conceptual ambiguity in snowpack modeling are the different challenges of developing hydroclimatological models. To tackle these challenges,Global Gridded Snow Products(GGSPs)are introduced, which effectively simplify the identification of the spatial characteristics of snow hydrological variables. This research aims to investigate the performance of multisource GGSPs using multi-stage calibration strategies in hydrological modeling. The used GGSPs were Snow-Covered Area(SCA)and Snow Water Equivalent(SWE),implemented individually or jointly to calibrate an appropriate water balance model. The study area was a mountainous watershed located in Western Iran with a considerable contribution of snowmelt to the generated streamflow. The results showed that using GGSPs as complementary information in the calibration process, besides streamflow time series, could improve the modeling accuracy compared to the conventional calibration, which is only based on streamflow data. The SCA with NSE,KGE,and RMSE values varying within the ranges of 0.47–0.57,0.54–0.65,and 4–6.88,respectively,outperformed the SWE with the corresponding metrics of 0.36–0.59,0.47–0.60,and 5.22–7.46,respectively,in simulating the total streamflow of the watershed. In addition to the superiority of the SCA over SWE,the twostage calibration strategy reduced the number of optimized parameters in each stage and the dependency of internal processes on the streamflow and improved the accuracy of the results compared with the conventional calibration strategy. On the other hand, the consistent contribution of snowmelt to the total generated streamflow(ranging from 0.9 to 1.47)and the ratio of snow melting to snowfall(ranging from 0.925 to 1.041)in different calibration strategies and models resulted in a reliable simulation of the model.
文摘Let G(V, E) be a finite connected simple graph with vertex set V(G). A function is a signed dominating function f : <em style="white-space:normal;">V<span style="white-space:normal;">(<em style="white-space:normal;">G<span style="white-space:normal;">)<span style="white-space:nowrap;">→{<span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">−1,1} if for every vertex v <span style="white-space:nowrap;">∈ V(G), the sum of closed neighborhood weights of v is greater or equal to 1. The signed domination number γs(G) of G is the minimum weight of a signed dominating function on G. In this paper, we calculate the signed domination numbers of the Cartesian product of two paths Pm and Pn for m = 6, 7 and arbitrary n.
文摘A set <em>S ⊆ V (G)</em> is called a geodetic set if every vertex of <em>G</em> lies on a shortest <em>u-v</em> path for some <em>u, v ∈ S</em>, the minimum cardinality among all geodetic sets is called geodetic number and is denoted by <img src="Edit_82259359-0135-4a65-9378-b767f0405b48.png" alt="" />. A set <em>C ⊆ V (G)</em> is called a chromatic set if <em>C</em> contains all vertices of different colors in<em> G</em>, the minimum cardinality among all chromatic sets is called the chromatic number and is denoted by <img src="Edit_d849148d-5778-459b-abbb-ff25b5cd659b.png" alt="" />. A geo-chromatic set<em> S</em><em>c</em><em> ⊆ V (G</em><em>)</em> is both a geodetic set and a chromatic set. The geo-chromatic number <img src="Edit_505e203c-888c-471c-852d-4b9c2dd1a31c.png" alt="" /><em> </em>of<em> G</em> is the minimum cardinality among all geo-chromatic sets of<em> G</em>. In this paper, we determine the geodetic number and the geo-chromatic number of 2-cartesian product of some standard graphs like complete graphs, cycles and paths.
文摘This paper presents insights and perceptions of stakeholders involved in the development and implementation of residential smart grid pilot projects in the Netherlands, adding to the limited information that is currently available in this area, while expectations about the potential benefits of smart grids are high. Hence, the general view held by respondents is that end-users should be the starting point in the development of smart grid products and services at the residential areas.
