Considering the characteristics of deep thick top coal roadway,in which the high ground stress,coal seam with low strength,and a large range of surrounding rock fragmentation,the pressure relief anchor box beam suppor...Considering the characteristics of deep thick top coal roadway,in which the high ground stress,coal seam with low strength,and a large range of surrounding rock fragmentation,the pressure relief anchor box beam support system with high strength is developed.The high-strength bearing characteristics and coupling yielding support mechanism of this support system are studied by the mechanical tests of composite members and the combined support system.The test results show that under the coupling effect of support members,the peak stress of the box-shaped support beam in the anchor box beam is reduced by 21.9%,and the average deformation is increased by 135.0%.The ultimate bending bearing capacity of the box-shaped support beam is 3.5 times that of traditional channel beam.The effective compressive stress zone applied by the high prestressed cable is expanded by 26.4%.On this basis,the field support comparison test by the anchor channel beam,the anchor I-shaped beam and the anchor box beam are carried out.Compared with those of the previous two,the surrounding rock convergence of the latter is decreased by 41.2%and 22.2%,respectively.The field test verifies the effectiveness of the anchor box beam support system.展开更多

The results showed that the combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers could increase the organinc matter, alkaline nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium. At the same time, the increasing application of organic fertilizer could reduce the soil bulk density and improve the field moisture capacity. Field moisture capacity and organic matter of the combined application of high quantities of organic manure and inorganic fertilizers AtB5 treatment increased the fhstest, organic matter increased by 3.33 g. kg and field moisture capacity increased by 11.25% than the beginning of the experiment. Under the same fertilization, the combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers' increasing production range was higher than the single chemical fertilizers' which was from 0.8% to 9.4%. The results showed that the combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers could increase the nutrient contents of soil and also was the highest productivity contribution to black soil fertility. It was the best fertilization structure of increasing productivity level and improving the soil fertility.展开更多

The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of different rates of organic farming aid (OFA) and inorganic fertilizer on the productivity of maize, chemical and microbial properties of soil for higher economic valu...The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of different rates of organic farming aid (OFA) and inorganic fertilizer on the productivity of maize, chemical and microbial properties of soil for higher economic value. Field experiments were conducted during the 2020 and 2021 cropping seasons at the research fields of CSIR-Savanna Agricultural Research Institute located at Nyankpala in the Guinea savannah agroecology of Ghana. The study consisted of five treatment combinations: full rate of OFA, full rate of NPK, 1/2 OFA + 1/2 NPK, full OFA + 1/2 NPK and a control (no OFA and no NPK) which were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Analysis of variance indicated significant (P 0.05) treatment and year interaction effect for all the growth parameters except for plant height, leaf area and leaf area index. Apart from hundred seed weight, treatment and year interaction effect for all the yield and yield components was significant (P 0.05). Application of full rate of NPK (90:60:60) resulted in the highest grain yield of 4960 kg·ha<sup>-1</sup>, however it was statistically similar to those obtained by the combined application of full rate of OFA (250 ml·ha<sup>-1</sup>) + 1/2 NPK and 1/2 OFA + 1/2 NPK with grain yield of 4856 kg·ha<sup>-1</sup> and 4639 kg·ha<sup>-1</sup> respectively. There was also a yield advantage of 197. 5%, 191.3%, 178.3 and 79.1% over the control for full NPK rate, full OFA rate + 1/2 NPK rate, 1/2 OFA rate + 1/2 NPK and full OFA rate respectively. Application of full OFA rate + 1/2 NPK enhanced soil basal respiration (evolved CO<sub>2</sub>) and mineralizable C, implying that, combination of full OFA rate and NPK fertilizer would be necessary to boost soil microbial activity and soil labile nutrient pool (labile C pool). This suggests that combined use of full OFA rate + 1/2 NPK fertilizer can be a better strategic tool for improving soil quality. The highest benefit cost ratios (BCR) of 2.58 and 3.77 were obtained following the application of full OFA rate + 1/2 NPK and 1/2 OFA rate + 1/2 NPK respectively. Hence, it could be concluded that complementary use of OFA and NPK is more profitable than using single inputs (either OFA or NPK). Thus, in promoting technology packages to farmers, development practitioners must carefully consider the complementary of inputs that are cost-effective but economically rewarding.展开更多
Objective:To evaluate the application effect of telmisartan combined with spironolactone after catheter ablation of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.Methods:80 cases of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibr...Objective:To evaluate the application effect of telmisartan combined with spironolactone after catheter ablation of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.Methods:80 cases of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation who received radiofrequency catheter ablation treatment from March 2013 to March 2016 in our hospital were randomly selected,these patients were divided into two groups according to the treatment methods,namely,the telmisartan with Spironolactone treatment group(combined treatment group,n=40)and the conventional therapy group(n=40).The hs-CRP,NT-proBNP,LAD and recurrence of the two groups were analyzed.Results:The hs-CRP,NT-proBNP levels after 3 months of the combined treatment group were significantly lower(P<0.05),the recurrence rate 10.0%(4/40)was significantly lower than the conventional therapy group 27.5%(11/40)(P<0.05),the time to recurrence was significantly longer than the conventional therapy group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application effects of telmisartan combined with spironolactone after catheter ablation in the treatment of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation are better than conventional therapy.展开更多
Objective:To investigate the influencing mechanism of Jin-Shui-Liu-Jun-Jian and Acupoint Application combined therapy on hemorheology, inflammatory factors and pulmonary functions in patients with chronic bronchitis, ...Objective:To investigate the influencing mechanism of Jin-Shui-Liu-Jun-Jian and Acupoint Application combined therapy on hemorheology, inflammatory factors and pulmonary functions in patients with chronic bronchitis, thus to offer relevant help for clinical therapies on patients with chronic bronchitis. Methods:120 cases of patients with chronic bronchitis treated in our hospital were selected and randomly divided to be the therapeutic group and the control group, 60 cases each. Patients in control group were provided some basic treatments, such as spasmolysis, anti-inflammation, asthma relieving, oxygen inhalation and dissolve phlegm. For therapeutic group on this basis, Jin-Shui-Liu-Jun-Jian and Acupoint Application combined therapy was provided. Hemorheology, inflammatory factors and pulmonary functions in the two groups of patients were detected before and after treatment. Results:Differences of hemorheology indexes, inflammatory factors and pulmonary function relevant indexes between the two groups of patients with chronic bronchitis before treatment showed no statistical significance (P>0.05). Compared with prior treatment, hemorheology relevant indexes [whole blood high shear viscosity (WHV), whole blood low shear viscosity (WLV), packed cell volume (PCV), plasma viscosity (PV) and red cell assembling index (RCAI)], inflammatory factors [IL-8 (interleukin-8) and TNF-α(tumor necrosis factor-α)] were significantly decreased and pulmonary function relevant indexes [forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1.0), peak expiratory flow (PEF), maximal voluntary ventilation (MVV) and expiratory flow rate when exhale vital capacity was 0.50], inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-2) were significantly increased in the two groups of patients with chronic bronchitis after relevant treatments;The differences between the groups showed statistical significance (P<0.05). After combined therapy provided, pulmonary function relevant indexes (FVC, FEV1.0, PEF, MVV and V0.50) and inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-2) in therapeutic group were significantly higher than control group after basic therapy. Hemorheology relevant indexes (WHV, WLV, PV, PCV and RCAI) and inflammatory factors (IL-8 and TNF-α) in therapeutic group were significantly lower than control group;Differences between the two groups showed statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusions: Combination of Jin-Shui-Liu-Jun-Jian and Acupoint Application significantly improved the levels of hemorheology, inflammatory factors and pulmonary functions in patients with chronic bronchitis. It has a great important clinical significance on therapies for patients with chronic bronchitis.展开更多

Results: after nursing intervention, the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05);The total incidence of accident errors in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05);The quality of life score in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The reciprocal crosses were performed using Benihoppe, as the female parent, four disease-resistant European cultivars Albion, Camino Real, Ven- tana and Virginia, and one Japanese cultivar Meiho as the male parent. Then, the seedling propagation coefficient, disease resistance, fruit quality and yield of F1 gen- eration of the combinations were detected and compared. Besides, the breeding and traits of a new cultivar F1-40 developed from the cross between Benihoppe and Mei- ho were introduced as an instance to prove the feasibility of the combinations/lines.展开更多

It is difficult to know how to treat the combined wastewater in tidal rivers at the estuary, where the situation is very different from ordinary fresh water rivers. Waste oyster shell was used as the active filler in this study in a bio-contact oxidation tank to treat the combined wastewater at the Fengtang Tidal River. With a middle-experimental scale of 360 ma/day, the average removal efficiency of COD, BOD, NH3-N, TP and TSS was 80.05%, 85.02%, 86.59%, 50.58% and 85.32%, respectively, in this bio-contact oxidation process. The living microbes in the biofilms on the waste oyster shell in this bio-contact oxidation tank, which were mainly composed of zoogloea, protozoa and micro-metazoa species, revealed that waste oyster shell as the filler was suitable material for combined wastewater degradation. This treatment method using waste oyster shell as active filler was then applied in a mangrove demonstration area for water quality improvement near the experiment area, with a treatment volume of 5 × 10^3 m^3/day. Another project was also successfully applied in a constructed wetland, with a wastewater treatment volume of 1 ×10^3 m^3/day. This technology is therefore feasible and can easily be applied on a larger scale,展开更多
A brainwave classification,which does not involve any limb movement and stimulus for character-writing applications,benefits impaired people,in terms of practical communication,because it allows users to command a dev...A brainwave classification,which does not involve any limb movement and stimulus for character-writing applications,benefits impaired people,in terms of practical communication,because it allows users to command a device/computer directly via electroencephalogram signals.In this paper,we propose a new framework based on Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD)features along with theGaussianMixtureModel(GMM)andKernel Extreme Learning Machine(KELM)-based classifiers.For this purpose,firstly,we introduce EMD to decompose EEG signals into Intrinsic Mode Functions(IMFs),which actually are used as the input features of the brainwave classification for the character-writing application.We hypothesize that EMD along with the appropriate IMF is quite powerful for the brainwave classification,in terms of character applications,because of the wavelet-like decomposition without any down sampling process.Secondly,by getting motivated with shallow learning classifiers,we can provide promising performance for the classification of binary classes,GMM and KELM,which are applied for the learning of features along with the brainwave classification.Lastly,we propose a new method by combining GMMand KELM to fuse the merits of different classifiers.Moreover,the proposed methods are validated by using the volunteer-independent 5-fold cross-validation and accuracy as a standard measurement.The experimental results showed that EMD with the proper IMF achieved better results than the conventional discrete wavelet transform(DWT)feature.Moreover,we found that the EMD feature along with the GMM/KELM-based classifier provides the average accuracy of 77.40%and 80.10%,respectively,which could perform better than the conventional methods where we use DWT along with the artificial neural network classifier in order to get the average accuracy of 80.60%.Furthermore,we obtained the improved performance by combining GMM and KELM,i.e.,average accuracy of 80.60%.These outcomes exhibit the usefulness of the EMD feature combining with GMMand KELM based classifiers for the brainwaveclassification in terms of the Character-Writing application,which do notrequire any limb movement and stimulus.展开更多
The residue drying area(RDA)is the major source of fugitive red sand(RS)dust emissions in the bauxite mining industry and causes serious environmental and safety detriments.Polymer stabilizer(PS)is one of the promisin...The residue drying area(RDA)is the major source of fugitive red sand(RS)dust emissions in the bauxite mining industry and causes serious environmental and safety detriments.Polymer stabilizer(PS)is one of the promising non-traditional stabilizers to mitigate such issues.This research investigated the unconfined compressive strength(UCS)of RS using synthetic polymer stabilizer(SPS)and natural polymer stabilizer(NPS),and to determine the optimum application concentration and mixing ratio of the PAM and Guar gum mixture.Results illustrated that PAM apparently outperform Guar gum in stabilizing sand particles.The mixture of PAM and Guar gum is more effective than individual use.The optimum polymer concentration and the mixing ratio are 0.94 wt.%and 0.6(PAM:total(PAM+Guar gum)),respectively.A rigorous regression model was developed to predict the UCS value based on application concentration and mixing ratio for the purpose of cost and time efficiency.展开更多
Beyond the coordination environment of single-atom catalysts(SACs),the moiety constructed by single-atom(SA)and coordination combinations is thought to play a significant role in the reaction kinetics,especially in mu...Beyond the coordination environment of single-atom catalysts(SACs),the moiety constructed by single-atom(SA)and coordination combinations is thought to play a significant role in the reaction kinetics,especially in multi-step reactions,but the mechanism is still unclear.Here we select the single Pd atom embedded C_(3)N monolayers(Pd_(1)/C_(3)N)as a representative class of carbon-based SACs.Using density functional theory,we investigate the synthesis conditions,structural and bonding characteristics,electronic structures and catalytic performances,and multifunctional applications of Pd_(1)/C_(3)N samples.Atomic vacancies generated under high-temperature/low-pressure allow the formation of various Pd-C_(x)N_(y) moieties on the monolayer with coordination combinations control.The Pd-C_(x)N_(y) moieties with adjustable C/N coordination combinations not only exhibit tunable hydrogen evolution activity,but also have magnetic and non-magnetic properties,indicative of a clear structure-activity relationship.The Pd_(1)/C_(3)N monolayer is demonstrated to be a promising multifunctional catalyst for electrochemical hydrogen production,photocatalytic water splitting and magnetic recycling,all of which are reliant on the roles of coordination combinations.The strategy based on coordination combinations is expected to pave the way for future development of carbon-based SACs and even few-atom catalysts for multifunctional catalysis in energy and environment.展开更多

The results showed that the combined application of organic and inorganic fertilizers could increase the nutrient contents of soil and also was the highest productivity contribution to black soil fertility. It was the best fertilization structure of increasing productivity level and improving the soil fertility.
文摘The generated power and efficiency of gas-steam combined cycle (GSCC) power plants depend on the temperature of the inlet air greatly. Based on the analysis of basic theory of inlet air cooling technologies, the application of evaporative cooling system and the absorption cooling system in GSCC power plants are discussed in this paper. Moreover, in China with high temperature and humidity, applied research and simulation analysis of the above two different cooling systems are conducted separately, the research results of which can provide certain reference for optimal design and economic operation of inlet air cooling system for GSCC power enterprises in China.
文摘The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of different rates of organic farming aid (OFA) and inorganic fertilizer on the productivity of maize, chemical and microbial properties of soil for higher economic value. Field experiments were conducted during the 2020 and 2021 cropping seasons at the research fields of CSIR-Savanna Agricultural Research Institute located at Nyankpala in the Guinea savannah agroecology of Ghana. The study consisted of five treatment combinations: full rate of OFA, full rate of NPK, 1/2 OFA + 1/2 NPK, full OFA + 1/2 NPK and a control (no OFA and no NPK) which were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Analysis of variance indicated significant (P 0.05) treatment and year interaction effect for all the growth parameters except for plant height, leaf area and leaf area index. Apart from hundred seed weight, treatment and year interaction effect for all the yield and yield components was significant (P 0.05). Application of full rate of NPK (90:60:60) resulted in the highest grain yield of 4960 kg·ha<sup>-1</sup>, however it was statistically similar to those obtained by the combined application of full rate of OFA (250 ml·ha<sup>-1</sup>) + 1/2 NPK and 1/2 OFA + 1/2 NPK with grain yield of 4856 kg·ha<sup>-1</sup> and 4639 kg·ha<sup>-1</sup> respectively. There was also a yield advantage of 197. 5%, 191.3%, 178.3 and 79.1% over the control for full NPK rate, full OFA rate + 1/2 NPK rate, 1/2 OFA rate + 1/2 NPK and full OFA rate respectively. Application of full OFA rate + 1/2 NPK enhanced soil basal respiration (evolved CO<sub>2</sub>) and mineralizable C, implying that, combination of full OFA rate and NPK fertilizer would be necessary to boost soil microbial activity and soil labile nutrient pool (labile C pool). This suggests that combined use of full OFA rate + 1/2 NPK fertilizer can be a better strategic tool for improving soil quality. The highest benefit cost ratios (BCR) of 2.58 and 3.77 were obtained following the application of full OFA rate + 1/2 NPK and 1/2 OFA rate + 1/2 NPK respectively. Hence, it could be concluded that complementary use of OFA and NPK is more profitable than using single inputs (either OFA or NPK). Thus, in promoting technology packages to farmers, development practitioners must carefully consider the complementary of inputs that are cost-effective but economically rewarding.

文摘Objective:To evaluate the application effect of telmisartan combined with spironolactone after catheter ablation of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.Methods:80 cases of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation who received radiofrequency catheter ablation treatment from March 2013 to March 2016 in our hospital were randomly selected,these patients were divided into two groups according to the treatment methods,namely,the telmisartan with Spironolactone treatment group(combined treatment group,n=40)and the conventional therapy group(n=40).The hs-CRP,NT-proBNP,LAD and recurrence of the two groups were analyzed.Results:The hs-CRP,NT-proBNP levels after 3 months of the combined treatment group were significantly lower(P<0.05),the recurrence rate 10.0%(4/40)was significantly lower than the conventional therapy group 27.5%(11/40)(P<0.05),the time to recurrence was significantly longer than the conventional therapy group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application effects of telmisartan combined with spironolactone after catheter ablation in the treatment of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation are better than conventional therapy.
文摘Objective:To investigate the influencing mechanism of Jin-Shui-Liu-Jun-Jian and Acupoint Application combined therapy on hemorheology, inflammatory factors and pulmonary functions in patients with chronic bronchitis, thus to offer relevant help for clinical therapies on patients with chronic bronchitis. Methods:120 cases of patients with chronic bronchitis treated in our hospital were selected and randomly divided to be the therapeutic group and the control group, 60 cases each. Patients in control group were provided some basic treatments, such as spasmolysis, anti-inflammation, asthma relieving, oxygen inhalation and dissolve phlegm. For therapeutic group on this basis, Jin-Shui-Liu-Jun-Jian and Acupoint Application combined therapy was provided. Hemorheology, inflammatory factors and pulmonary functions in the two groups of patients were detected before and after treatment. Results:Differences of hemorheology indexes, inflammatory factors and pulmonary function relevant indexes between the two groups of patients with chronic bronchitis before treatment showed no statistical significance (P>0.05). Compared with prior treatment, hemorheology relevant indexes [whole blood high shear viscosity (WHV), whole blood low shear viscosity (WLV), packed cell volume (PCV), plasma viscosity (PV) and red cell assembling index (RCAI)], inflammatory factors [IL-8 (interleukin-8) and TNF-α(tumor necrosis factor-α)] were significantly decreased and pulmonary function relevant indexes [forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1.0), peak expiratory flow (PEF), maximal voluntary ventilation (MVV) and expiratory flow rate when exhale vital capacity was 0.50], inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-2) were significantly increased in the two groups of patients with chronic bronchitis after relevant treatments;The differences between the groups showed statistical significance (P<0.05). After combined therapy provided, pulmonary function relevant indexes (FVC, FEV1.0, PEF, MVV and V0.50) and inflammatory factors (IL-4, IL-2) in therapeutic group were significantly higher than control group after basic therapy. Hemorheology relevant indexes (WHV, WLV, PV, PCV and RCAI) and inflammatory factors (IL-8 and TNF-α) in therapeutic group were significantly lower than control group;Differences between the two groups showed statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusions: Combination of Jin-Shui-Liu-Jun-Jian and Acupoint Application significantly improved the levels of hemorheology, inflammatory factors and pulmonary functions in patients with chronic bronchitis. It has a great important clinical significance on therapies for patients with chronic bronchitis.
文摘Objective: to explore the application value of basic nursing combined with detail nursing in clinical infection department. Methods: a total of 108 patients with nosocomial infection from June 2020 to March 2021 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 54 cases in each group.Among them, the basic nursing measures selected by the control group, the observation group was given combined detail nursing on the basis of the control group, and the nursing satisfaction, error and accident rate and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results: after nursing intervention, the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05);The total incidence of accident errors in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05);The quality of life score in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: the application effect of basic nursing combined with detail nursing on infected patients is obvious. It can effectively improve nursing satisfaction, improve quality of life and reduce accident error rate. It is worthy to be popularized and used in clinic.

In addition, the main nutritional value of broad bean nutrition flour was introduced. Compared with those of other single flours, the nutritional value of broad bean nutrition flour was improved. Moreover, the nutrients in the broad bean nutrition flour would not be destroyed during the processing and preparation of staple food, and the processed steamed bread and raw noodle are more characteristic. The application value and prospects of broad bean nutrition flour, as a combination of staple food, were further discussed.

文摘This study was conducted to select new strawberry cultivars with early maturity, disease resistance and high quality, by optimizing the hybrid combinations of Benihoppe, a Japanese strawberry cultivar, which is extensively planted but not resistant to anthrax. The reciprocal crosses were performed using Benihoppe, as the female parent, four disease-resistant European cultivars Albion, Camino Real, Ven- tana and Virginia, and one Japanese cultivar Meiho as the male parent. Then, the seedling propagation coefficient, disease resistance, fruit quality and yield of F1 gen- eration of the combinations were detected and compared. Besides, the breeding and traits of a new cultivar F1-40 developed from the cross between Benihoppe and Mei- ho were introduced as an instance to prove the feasibility of the combinations/lines.
文摘[Objectives]The extraction conditions of formula oolong tea were investigated by an orthogonal experiment.[Methods]The technical conditions were optimized by the 4C method,and the application of formula oolong tea extract in cigarettes was studied.[Results]①In the experimental range,the best sensory evaluation effect of formula oolong tea extract was obtained with extraction conditions of 70%ethanol as extraction solvent,extraction time h,extraction temperature 25℃,and ultrasonic frequency 80 kHz,and follow-up low-temperature concentration,low-temperature sedimentation and low-temperature centrifugation.②The effects of different centrifugal speeds on the quality of formula oolong tea extract were explored.The formula oolong tea extract obtained under the conditions of 3000 r/min and centrifugal time of 10 min showed the best evaluation effect with soft and delicate smoke,rich smoke fragrance,good comfort and refreshing mouthfeel.③The effective aroma components in the formula oolong tea extract were qualitatively analyzed by GC-MS.[Conclusions]This study provides high-quality raw materials and a theoretical basis for the research of independent flavor blending in cigarette industry enterprises.
文摘Security weaknesses in web applications deployed in cloud architectures can seriously affect its data confidentiality and integrity.The construction of the procedure utilized in the static analysis tools of source code security differs and therefore each tool finds a different number of each weakness type for which it is designed.To utilize the possible synergies different static analysis tools may process,this work uses a new method to combine several source codes aiming to investigate how to increase the performance of security weakness detection while reducing the number of false positives.Specifically,five static analysis tools will be combined with the designed method to study their behavior using an updated benchmark for OWASP Top Ten Security Weaknesses(OWASP TTSW).The method selects specific metrics to rank the tools for different criticality levels of web applications considering different weights in the ratios.The findings show that simply including more tools in a combination is not synonymous with better results;it depends on the specific tools included in the combination due to their different designs and techniques.
文摘The guinea pigs were dermally exposed to nickel (Ni), sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and in their combination for 7 and 14 days. The exposure to Ni and SLS produced changes in enzymes and lipid peroxidation in kidney. The exposure to Ni or SLS depicted slight changes while combined exposure to Ni plus SLS exhibited more degenerative changes in kidney. The result of the study suggests that industrial workers and/or populations exposed simultaneously to Ni and SLS produces more damage to kidney.

文摘Estuaries have been described as one of the most difficult environments on Earth. It is difficult to know how to treat the combined wastewater in tidal rivers at the estuary, where the situation is very different from ordinary fresh water rivers. Waste oyster shell was used as the active filler in this study in a bio-contact oxidation tank to treat the combined wastewater at the Fengtang Tidal River. With a middle-experimental scale of 360 ma/day, the average removal efficiency of COD, BOD, NH3-N, TP and TSS was 80.05%, 85.02%, 86.59%, 50.58% and 85.32%, respectively, in this bio-contact oxidation process. The living microbes in the biofilms on the waste oyster shell in this bio-contact oxidation tank, which were mainly composed of zoogloea, protozoa and micro-metazoa species, revealed that waste oyster shell as the filler was suitable material for combined wastewater degradation. This treatment method using waste oyster shell as active filler was then applied in a mangrove demonstration area for water quality improvement near the experiment area, with a treatment volume of 5 × 10^3 m^3/day. Another project was also successfully applied in a constructed wetland, with a wastewater treatment volume of 1 ×10^3 m^3/day. This technology is therefore feasible and can easily be applied on a larger scale,

文摘A brainwave classification,which does not involve any limb movement and stimulus for character-writing applications,benefits impaired people,in terms of practical communication,because it allows users to command a device/computer directly via electroencephalogram signals.In this paper,we propose a new framework based on Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD)features along with theGaussianMixtureModel(GMM)andKernel Extreme Learning Machine(KELM)-based classifiers.For this purpose,firstly,we introduce EMD to decompose EEG signals into Intrinsic Mode Functions(IMFs),which actually are used as the input features of the brainwave classification for the character-writing application.We hypothesize that EMD along with the appropriate IMF is quite powerful for the brainwave classification,in terms of character applications,because of the wavelet-like decomposition without any down sampling process.Secondly,by getting motivated with shallow learning classifiers,we can provide promising performance for the classification of binary classes,GMM and KELM,which are applied for the learning of features along with the brainwave classification.Lastly,we propose a new method by combining GMMand KELM to fuse the merits of different classifiers.Moreover,the proposed methods are validated by using the volunteer-independent 5-fold cross-validation and accuracy as a standard measurement.The experimental results showed that EMD with the proper IMF achieved better results than the conventional discrete wavelet transform(DWT)feature.Moreover,we found that the EMD feature along with the GMM/KELM-based classifier provides the average accuracy of 77.40%and 80.10%,respectively,which could perform better than the conventional methods where we use DWT along with the artificial neural network classifier in order to get the average accuracy of 80.60%.Furthermore,we obtained the improved performance by combining GMM and KELM,i.e.,average accuracy of 80.60%.These outcomes exhibit the usefulness of the EMD feature combining with GMMand KELM based classifiers for the brainwaveclassification in terms of the Character-Writing application,which do notrequire any limb movement and stimulus.

文摘The residue drying area(RDA)is the major source of fugitive red sand(RS)dust emissions in the bauxite mining industry and causes serious environmental and safety detriments.Polymer stabilizer(PS)is one of the promising non-traditional stabilizers to mitigate such issues.This research investigated the unconfined compressive strength(UCS)of RS using synthetic polymer stabilizer(SPS)and natural polymer stabilizer(NPS),and to determine the optimum application concentration and mixing ratio of the PAM and Guar gum mixture.Results illustrated that PAM apparently outperform Guar gum in stabilizing sand particles.The mixture of PAM and Guar gum is more effective than individual use.The optimum polymer concentration and the mixing ratio are 0.94 wt.%and 0.6(PAM:total(PAM+Guar gum)),respectively.A rigorous regression model was developed to predict the UCS value based on application concentration and mixing ratio for the purpose of cost and time efficiency.

文摘Beyond the coordination environment of single-atom catalysts(SACs),the moiety constructed by single-atom(SA)and coordination combinations is thought to play a significant role in the reaction kinetics,especially in multi-step reactions,but the mechanism is still unclear.Here we select the single Pd atom embedded C_(3)N monolayers(Pd_(1)/C_(3)N)as a representative class of carbon-based SACs.Using density functional theory,we investigate the synthesis conditions,structural and bonding characteristics,electronic structures and catalytic performances,and multifunctional applications of Pd_(1)/C_(3)N samples.Atomic vacancies generated under high-temperature/low-pressure allow the formation of various Pd-C_(x)N_(y) moieties on the monolayer with coordination combinations control.The Pd-C_(x)N_(y) moieties with adjustable C/N coordination combinations not only exhibit tunable hydrogen evolution activity,but also have magnetic and non-magnetic properties,indicative of a clear structure-activity relationship.The Pd_(1)/C_(3)N monolayer is demonstrated to be a promising multifunctional catalyst for electrochemical hydrogen production,photocatalytic water splitting and magnetic recycling,all of which are reliant on the roles of coordination combinations.The strategy based on coordination combinations is expected to pave the way for future development of carbon-based SACs and even few-atom catalysts for multifunctional catalysis in energy and environment.
