The effect of noncanonical strength, off-axis distance and vortex sign on spatial correlation singularities in far field is stressed. Furthermore, far-field OAM spectra and densities are also investigated, and the OAM detection and crosstalk probabilities are discussed. The results show that the number of dislocations of SCS always equals the sum of absolute values of topological charges for canonical or noncanonical vortex pairs. Although the sum of the product of each OAM mode and its power weight equals the algebraic sum of topological charges for canonical vortex pairs, the relationship no longer holds in the noncanonical case except for opposite-charge vortex pairs. The changes of off-axis distance, noncanonical strength or coherence length can lead to a more dominant power in adjacent mode than that in center detection mode, which also indicates that crosstalk probabilities of adjacent modes exceed the center detection probability. This work may provide potential applications in OAM-based optical communication, imaging, sensing and computing.展开更多

Based on data gathering and processing from 84 monitoring sections in this heavily polluted area, this study first analyzes spatial patterns of urbanization and the distribution of river water pollution, and then uses the GeoDa bivariate spatial autocorrelation model to investigate the spatial correlation between urbanization and river water pollution at the scale of township units. The results show that urbanization has adverse impacts on water pollution, and the influence varies in different levels of development areas. The urban township units have the highest level of urbanization and highest pollution, but the best water quality; the suburban units have lower level of urbanization, but higher pollution and worse water quality; however the rural units have the lowest level of urbanization and lowest pollution, mainly affected by upstream pollution, but worst water quality. Lastly, urban and rural planning committees, while actively promoting the process of development in the region, should gradually resolve the issue of pollution control lagging behind urban life and urban develop- ment, giving priority to construction of centralized sewage treatment facilities and associated pipeline network coverage in the rural areas and suburban areas.展开更多

In this paper, the spatial correlations of the high intensity zone in the deep-water acoustic field are investigated by using the experimental data obtained in the South China Sea. The experimental results show that the structures of the spatial correlation coefficient at different ranges and depths are similar to the transmission loss structure in deep water. The main reason for this phenomenon is analyzed by combining the normal mode theory with the ray theory. It is shown that the received signals in the high intensity zone mainly include one or two main pulses which are contributed by the interference of a group of waterbome modes with similar phases. The horizontal-longitudinal correlations at the same receiver depth but in different high intensity zones are analyzed. At some positions, more pulses are received in the arrival structure of the signal due to bottom reflection and the horizontal-longitudinal correlation coefficient decreases accordingly. The multi-path arrival structure of receiving signal becomes more complex with increasing receiver depth.展开更多

Least square (LS), scaled least square (SLS) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) methods are considered for estimating channel properties of a MIMO system using training sequences. The undertaken mathematical analysis reveals that the accuracy of the scaled least square (SLS) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) channel estimation methods are determined by the sum of eigenvalues of the channel correlation matrix. It is shown that for a fixed transmitted power to noise ratio (TPNR) assumed in the training mode, a higher spatial correlation has a positive effect on the performance of SLS and MMSE estimation methods. The effect of accuracy of the estimated Channel State Information (CSI) on MIMO system capacity is illustrated by computer simulations for an uplink case in which only the mobile station (MS) transmitter is surrounded by scattering objects.展开更多

It is...By using the generalized Debye diffraction integral, this paper studies the spatial correlation properties and phase singularity annihilation of apertured Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams in the focal region. It is shown that the width of the spectral degree of coherence can be larger, less than or equal to the corresponding width of spectral density, which depends not only on the scalar coherence length of the beams, but also on the truncation parameter. With a gradual increase of the truncation parameter, a pair of phase singularities of the spectral degree of coherence in the focal plane approaches each other, resulting in subwavelength structures. Finally, the annihilation of pairs of phase singularities takes place at a certain value of the truncation parameter. With increasing scalar coherence length, the annihilation occurs at the larger truncation parameter. However, the creation process of phase singularities outside the focal plane is not found for GSM beams.展开更多

It is shown that the intensity-intensity correlations exhibit quite different characteristics for the different values of the spatial phase of the laser at the position of the two atoms in both cases of the weak and strong driving lasers. Our results suggest that the intensity intensity correlations can serve as a probe of the spatial interference effect arising from the spatial variation of the laser phase.展开更多

文摘The spatial correlations of acoustic field have important implications for underwater target detection and other ap- plications in deep water. The multi-path arrival structure of receiving signal becomes more complex with increasing receiver depth.

文摘To prevent irreversible damage to one’s eyesight, ocular diseases(ODs)need to be recognized and treated immediately.Color fundus imaging(CFI)is a screening technology that is both effective and economical.According to CFIs,the early stages of the disease are characterized by a paucity of observable symptoms, which necessitates the prompt creation of automated and robust diagnostic algorithms. The traditional research focuses on image-level diagnostics that attend to the left and right eyes in isolation without making use of pertinent correlation data between the two sets of eyes.In addition, they usually only target one or a few different kinds of eye diseases at the same time.In this study,we design a patient-level multi-label OD(PLML_ODs)classification model that is based on a spatial correlation network(SCNet). This model takes into consideration the relevance of patient-level diagnosis combining bilateral eyes and multi-label ODs classification.PLML_ODs is made up of three parts:a backbone convolutional neural network(CNN)for feature extraction i.e.,DenseNet-169,a SCNet for feature correlation, and a classifier for the development of classification scores. The DenseNet-169 is responsible for retrieving two separate sets of attributes, one from each of the left and right CFI.After then, the SCNet will record the correlations between the two feature sets on a pixel-by-pixel basis. After the attributes have been analyzed, they are integrated to provide a representation at the patient level.Throughout the whole process of ODs categorization, the patient-level representation will be used. The efficacy of the PLML_ODs is examined using a soft margin loss on a dataset that is readily accessible to the public, and the results reveal that the classification performance is significantly improved when compared to several baseline approaches.
文摘The paper reports on investigations into the effect of spatial correlation on channel estimation and capacity of a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless communication system. The effect of accuracy of the estimated Channel State Information (CSI) on MIMO system capacity is illustrated by computer simulations for an uplink case in which only the mobile station (MS) transmitter is surrounded by scattering objects.

文摘When evaluating an area's seismic risk or resilience,it is necessary to use the spatial correlation to analyze the ground motion parameters of multiple sites together in an earthquake. These two large earthquakes in Türkiye provided the possibility for spatial correlation analysis of ground motion intensity measurements in this area.Based on the strong motion records provided by The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Türkiye(AFAD),this study uses the local ground motion prediction equation in Türkiye to give spatial correlation analysis of Intensity Measurements. This study gives an exponential model based on a semivariogram and compares it with the correlation model obtained from previous studies.

文摘Du’an Yao Autonomous County is a typical area for the distribution of karst rocky desertification in Guangxi. The indices for the grades of rocky desertification are selected according to the scientific meaning of karst rocky desertification and after the interpretative symbol system of rocky desertification. RS images are established by the landscape characteristics of Du’an karst and its TM image. Relying on RS & GIS means and taking land use map as base map, this paper conducts synthetic analysis on the 1999a TM image (126-043) and the correlation data involving landform, soil, geological map and GPS—database and photo on the spot, and brings forth a map showing the Du’an rocky desertification grades and a digital lithology map. As can be viewed from spatial correlation, the inherent connection is also illuminated between the various levels of rocky desertification and the carbonate lithology.

文摘Basal melting and calving are the main pathways for mass loss in Antarctic ice shelves.Basal channels,as detailed variations in basal melting, mutually promote basal melting and calving, thereby weakening the stability of ice shelves. Therefore,it is necessary to calculate and statistically analyze basal melting, basal channels, and calving events across all Antarctic ice shelves and examine the correlation among these three factors. This study utilizes various data sources to calculate the Basal Channel Density(BCD)and average basal melt rate of all Antarctic ice shelves during 2010-2020,as well as the spatial correlation between basal melting, basal channels, and calving. We found that ice shelves along the Amundsen Sea and Bellingshausen Sea have higher basal melt rates and basal channel densities, while other sea areas have lower values. This is mainly influenced by seabed topography and Circumpolar Deep Water.Excluding(CDW)extreme calving events, there is a positive correlation among basal melting, basal channels, and calving in coastal ice shelves across different sea areas, with a correlation coefficient exceeding 0.67.This indicates that basal melting and basal channels are major factors causing ice shelf calving. Our results emphasize the importance of the impact of basal melting, basal channels, and calving on ice shelf stability, and they provide a significant reference for further research on ice shelf-ocean interactions.

文摘By using the generalized Debye diffraction integral, this paper studies the spatial correlation properties and phase singularity annihilation of apertured Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams in the focal region. However, the creation process of phase singularities outside the focal plane is not found for GSM beams.

文摘In this paper, we investigate the effects of the spatial variation of driving-laser phase in a collective two-atom system on the intensity intensity correlations of the resonant fluorescence. It is shown that the intensity-intensity correlations exhibit quite different characteristics for the different values of the spatial phase of the laser at the position of the two atoms in both cases of the weak and strong driving lasers. Our results suggest that the intensity intensity correlations can serve as a probe of the spatial interference effect arising from the spatial variation of the laser phase.

文摘Canonical correlation analysis ( CCA ) based methods for low-resolution ( LR ) face recognition involve face images with different resolutions ( or multi-resolutions ), i.e.LR and high-resolution ( HR ) .For single-resolution face recognition , researchers have shown that utilizing spatial information is beneficial to improving the recognition accuracy , mainly because the pixels of each face are not independent but spatially correlated. However , for a multi-resolution scenario , there are no related works. Therefore , a method named spatial regularization of canonical correlation analysis ( SRCCA ) is developed for LR face recognition to improve the performance of CCA by the regularization utilizing spatial information of different resolution faces.Furthermore , the impact of LR and HR spatial regularization terms on LR face recognition is analyzed through experiments.
