A 3-D morphological approach on spatial form and cultural identity of ethnic mountain settlements:Case from Guizhou,China 被引量:3

Ethnic mountain settlements are living heritage of varied vernacular cultures.The preservation of both the built form and the intangible socio-cultural associations with them are global concern in process of urbanization,and in the notion of sustainable development.However,there is a lack of multi-dimensional and cross-cultural quantitative research in settlement morphology,making it difficult to guide practice effectively.Therefore,this study focuses on exploring an automatic or semi-automatic quantification and classification method for the morphological identity of ethnic mountain settlements.We introduce and combine 3-D morphological indicators with existing 2-D indicators to build and test three different sets of indication systems for semi-automatic classification for the settlements’ethnic attribute basing on spatial morphology.Taking the Miao,Dong,and Tunpu(Han)ethnic settlements in Guizhou province,southwest China as research samples,we applied factor analysis and hierarchical clustering methods to compare the classification accuracy under the three systems using data from topographic map,field investigation map,satellite imageries,and ethnography or local chronicle.The results showed that,the 3-D indication system has succeeded in semi-automatic quantification and classification of settlement morphology and ethnic identity by greatly increasing the classification accuracy to 96.30%,which is a huge improvement compared with the basic 2-D indication system(42.59%)and the advanced 2-D indication system(61.11%).The settlement samples are further divided into two sub-types with significant morphological differences in each major ethnic category under the 3-D indication system.We then discussed the potential improvement and future large-scale application of this method with the help of machine learning and other smart techniques.We hope to provide a comprehensive quantitative perspective and a more scientific reference for the future preservation and sustainable development of the massive and diverse vernacular heritages across the world. 展开更多

Finally, appropriate protection and development strategies were proposed, such as reasonably planning functional zones, breaking through the single structure, and creating a good living cultural environment. The innovation of this study is that it integrates the self-organization theory into the cognition of traditional mountain settlement space, and discusses the connection between the mountain settlement space and the traditional regional context under the modern development concept, so as to seek the benign protection and reasonable development of traditional mountain settlement space. 展开更多

Using energy analysis,the quantifying evaluation and study method on production, living and ecology functions and their sustainability of rural settlement ecosystem in mountain area is established with these energy index such as export of labor and products, export of water resource, internal energy reserve, energy consumption for human living, net energy of ecosystem function and net internal reserve. Taking rural settlement Raosi Village in Hengduan Mountains as a case study, and on the basis of the synthetic research into the ecological process of the complex ecosystem, the study shows that energy costs of production, human living and ecology functions are separately taking 1.36%, 13.59% and 85. 05% of the gross ecosystem functions, and the exertions of production and human living functions are close to a high-point state on the present using level of energy in the settlement. The study also shows that the most important function of a rural settlement in mountain area is its ecological rather productive function. 展开更多

Human settlements are the place where human beings live,among which the rural settlements can be regarded as a reflection of human-land relationship in mountain areas because their vertical distribution is greatly influenced by the specific geographical environment and ecological conditions of mountains.Based on field investigation,this paper uses physical,geographical,and ecological theories to make a comprehensive study of rural settlements and mountain disasters in the upper Min River,which is an ecologically fragile area with high-frequency disasters(collapse,landslide,debris flow,etc.) and a minority inhabit district.By applying these modern scientific theories,this paper attempts to shed some light on the relationship between rural settlements and mountain disasters.Consequently,an in-depth understanding of this relationship was achieved as follows:(1) Rural settlements and mountain disasters are mainly distributed in the intercepted flows of water and soil; and both quantity and quality of arable lands in mountains are important indicators of these flows.(2) The Small Watershed Management Project is a complex system of rural settlements and mountain disasters that interacts with and constrains the ecological system.By this project,the human survival will be better guaranteed.Being fundamental for the ecological reconstruction,the coupling mechanism of rural settlements and mountain disasters is not only an engine to promote harmonious development between human and nature,but also a bridge to link them. 展开更多

Scattered Rural Settlements and Development of Mountainous Regions in Western Sichuan,China 被引量:3

Making rural settlements of Mountainous Regions in Western Sichuan as the study objects and using symbolic statistical methods, then combining the case study of Daofu County, the paper analyzes the negative impact of the scattered rural settlements on infrastructure construction, farmers' income increase and mountain ecological reconstruction in mountainous regions of western Sichuan. The results indicate that economic density is positively related to both rural settlements density (R^2=0.73) and rural population density (R^2=0.77), and it is the same for relationship between towns density and rural settlements density (R^2=0.88) and between towns density and economic density (R^2=0.71), and the scattered distribution pattern of the rural settlements and shortage of economic centers is a major factor to the lagged socioeconomic development. On the eco-economic zoning to Daofu County, the paper indicates the spatial distribution model and the industrial development model of the rural settlements need to be changed, and rural population should be concentrated in larger rural settlements with development of off-farm industries while infrastructure construction is to reinforced. 展开更多

Using four types of settlements in the upper reach of Minjiang River as case,we establish structural models in farmers' income of different settlement patterns based on rural household panel data to reveal the gradient effect on farmers' income and determinants.The results indicate that:(1) except the resettlement area,the incomes for farmers living in river valley,semi-mountain,and high-mountain settlements present a decreasing trend with the elevation increasing;on the contrary,their nonfarm earnings show an increasing trend with the elevation decreasing;(2) from the effect on farmers' income,there is a common feature that the nonfarm earnings and farming incomes have significant positive effects,and family size and productive expenditure have significant negative effects.One exception to this is the productive expenditure,which becomes insignificant in the model of resettlement area;(3) from the way of increasing farmers' income and alleviating poverty,there are great differences for four types of settlements in mountain areas,however,the improvement of agricultural product sales,agricultural production subsidies,the expansion for nonfarm employment,and the control of the family's size are the most effective approaches for poverty alleviation. 展开更多

[目的]探究罗霄山区乡村聚落规模及空间演变特征,阐明乡村聚落空间格局演变的主要驱动因素,进而为乡村聚落空间优化提供科学依据。[方法]基于江西省乐安县的土地利用、高程、河流水系等多源数据,运用平均最近邻法、景观格局指数、核密度分析、冷热点分析和标准差椭圆法分析乡村聚落空间格局演变特征,采用地理探测器揭示了乡村聚落空间格局演变驱动因素。[结果]2000—2020年,乐安县乡村聚落数量与规模明显增长,乡村聚落数量和面积增幅分别达到55.63%,84%;乡村聚落空间分布保持显著集聚性,平均最近邻指数位于0.325~0.359;乡村聚落冷热点分布总体稳定,表现出“热点扩散、冷点固化”特征,整体空间结构趋向稳定,重心向东南方向略有迁移。自然环境中的坡度因子显著影响聚落空间格局演变,社会经济因素作用较强,地理区位因素驱动较小,不同因子之间展现出较明显的交互作用。[结论]经历新农村建设及精准扶贫后,罗霄山区乡村聚落规模明显增长,同时空间上保持显著集聚性,自然地理因素、区位因素和社会经济因素对乡村聚落空间格局演变产生不同程度影响。 展开更多

基于共生理论视角,建立山、水、聚落共生单元分类框架;应用双变量空间关联分析方法识别共生模式,包括互利共生、偏利共生、互害共生和寄生四种类型;以苏州东山镇为研究对象,分析1999—2024年间山、水、聚落格局时空演变特征,基于共生目... 基于共生理论视角,建立山、水、聚落共生单元分类框架;应用双变量空间关联分析方法识别共生模式,包括互利共生、偏利共生、互害共生和寄生四种类型;以苏州东山镇为研究对象,分析1999—2024年间山、水、聚落格局时空演变特征,基于共生目标提出空间格局优化策略。研究结论表明:(1)1999—2024年间,东山镇山、水、聚落转移显著,主要表现为山水要素向聚落要素的转变。(2)山-聚落、水-聚落均呈现负相关关系。要素共生模式方面,山-聚落从互害转为偏利,最后转为寄生模式;水-聚落从开始的偏利共生模式转为寄生关系,且随着时间流逝从弱寄生变为强寄生。(3)基于山-水-聚落的共生格局划分四类新共生模式:互利、偏利共生模式,聚落主导型寄生模式,聚落-山水互害型模式以及混合互害-寄生型模式。通过共生视角分析山-水-聚落关系,提出空间格局优化策略,为推动乡村振兴及人与自然和谐发展提供理论支撑和实践指导。 展开更多

Simulation and Assessment of Rainstorm Flood Risk in Mountainous Rural Settlements Under Climate Change Scenarios

Climate change has significantly increased the intensity and frequency of extreme weather events,posing significant challenges to the hydrological ecological security of rural settlements in mountainous areas.There is an urgent need for research that predicts the flood risk of mountainous villages under future climate scenarios.Taking the mountainous area of the Yongding River Watershed in Beijing as an example,this study uses CMIP6 data and the Delta statistical downscaling method to predict precipitation with return periods of 20-a,50-a,and 100-a under the SSP126,SSP245,and SSP585 scenarios at the end of this century.A two-dimensional hydrodynamic model combining SWMM and HEC-RAS has been employed to simulate the flood risks of the villages in the watershed.The results show that:1)overall flood risk is higher for the villages located downstream of the Qingshui River and at the outlet of the Yongding River Gorge,with significantly increased inundation area ratio,maximum inundation depth,and the number of villages affected;2)with the increase in radiative forcing values of the SSP pathways,the inundation area ratio increases by up to 8.22%by 2100,significantly increasing the flood control pressure on settlements in the future;3)the correlation results between village spatial characteristics and flood risks show that the inundation area ratio is significantly negatively correlated with average river width and river sinuosity,and significantly positively correlated with river gradient and floodway proximity;the maximum inundation depth is significantly negatively correlated with average river width and significantly positively correlated with floodway proximity.Finally,this research suggests that it is necessary to integrate various spatial elements and resources from upstream and downstream areas by prioritizing the strategy of key area flood control and sustainable development,to reduce the flood risk to mountainous settlements under future climate change. 展开更多

为厘清山地乡村的土地资源承载力空间格局和约束因素,本研究以四川省汉源县为例,基于DEM、LUCC等多源空间数据以及行政村统计数据,通过聚落承载力、粮食承载力和产业承载力分析,构建“聚地产”三元约束视角下土地承载力测评算法,定量分... 为厘清山地乡村的土地资源承载力空间格局和约束因素,本研究以四川省汉源县为例,基于DEM、LUCC等多源空间数据以及行政村统计数据,通过聚落承载力、粮食承载力和产业承载力分析,构建“聚地产”三元约束视角下土地承载力测评算法,定量分析了案例区域的土地资源综合承载力。结果表明:聚落承载力总体处于盈余状态,盈余村庄139个,占68%,过载村庄64个,占32%。聚落承载力盈余区集中于中部河谷,超载区集中分布在北部中高山区。粮食承载力总体处于临界过载状态,过载村庄116个,占57%,盈余村庄87个,占43%。粮食承载力盈余区分布零散,过载区集中分布在中部河谷区。产业承载力总体处于过载状态,盈余村庄63个,仅占31%,过载村庄140个,占69%。产业承载力盈余区集中在北部,过载区域集中于中部及南部。乡村综合土地承载力呈现过载状态,综合承载指数表明,过载村庄共计180个,占89%,严重超载村庄93个,占46%。承载力受限的基础性自然约束因素集中于地貌条件,各子因素的约束力排序为平均高程(r=-0.58)>起伏度(r=-0.42)>坡度25°以上面积占比(r=-0.40)>局部高差(r=-0.37)。汉源县乡村“聚地产”耦合协调水平高,高耦合阶段的村庄约占全县土地面积的71%、村庄数量的68%。处于协调水平的村庄占总数的81%,其中高水平协调的村庄占总数的29%。研究表明,西南山地乡村土地资源承载力受聚落、粮食、产业要素综合影响,针对承载力结果和不同耦合协调影响模式制定相应发展规划,有利于乡村高质量发展。 展开更多

滇西北山地是我国独具特色的少数民族聚居区。以滇西北山地多民族聚集区聚落景观为研究对象,应用ArcGIS空间统计提取了特征因子,应用二阶聚类分析方法对滇西北山地聚落分布类型进行分类,研究结果表明:(1)生计策略、年平均降水量和民族... 滇西北山地是我国独具特色的少数民族聚居区。以滇西北山地多民族聚集区聚落景观为研究对象,应用ArcGIS空间统计提取了特征因子,应用二阶聚类分析方法对滇西北山地聚落分布类型进行分类,研究结果表明:(1)生计策略、年平均降水量和民族类型对聚落分布均有重要的影响。(2)滇西北山地聚落可分为农耕湿润聚落和山地半农半牧干燥聚落2类分布类型,分别占58.49%和41.51%。(3)滇西北山地农耕湿润聚落生计策略几乎为农耕型(97.55%),年平均降雨量800 mm~1400 mm。滇西北山地半农半牧干燥聚落主要分布在平均降雨量400 mm~1000 mm范围,生计策略全为半农半牧型(100.00%)。研究结果可以为滇西北山地传统民居空间修复与利用、科学规划新型城镇化民族聚落、高效重构聚落庭院空间布局、农村人居环境整治与生态环境保护等提供科学依据。 展开更多
