Smart Street Lighting Control and Monitoring System for Electrical Power Saving by Using VANET

The huge amount of electrical power of many countries is consumed in lighting the streets. However, vehicles pass with very low rate in specific periods of time and parts of the streets are not occupied by vehicles over time. In this paper, we propose a system that automatically switches off the light for the parts of the streets having no vehicles and turns on the light for these parts once there are some vehicles that are going to come. Logically, this system may save a large amount of the electrical power. In addition, it may increase the lifetime of the lamps and reduce the pollutions. This system automatically controls and monitors the light of the streets. It can light only the parts that have vehicles and help on the maintenance of the lighting equipments. Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANET) make it possible to propose such system. VANET enables the possibility to know the presence of vehicles, their locations, their directions and their speeds in real time. These quantities are what are needed to develop this system. An advantage of using VANET is that there is no need to use specific network and equipments to design the system, but VANET infrastructure will be used. This decreases the cost and speed up the deployment of such system. This paper focuses on the proposal of different possible architectures of this system. Results show that the saved energy may reach up to 65% and an increase of the lifetime of the lamps of 53%. 展开更多

Fault prediction technology of running state of electromechanical systems is one of the key technologies that ensure safe and reliable operation of electromechanical equipment in health state. For multiple types of modern, high-end and key electromechanical equipment, this paper will describe the early faults prediction method for multi-type electromechanical systems, which is favorable for predicting early faults of complex electromechanical systems in non-stationary, nonlinear, variable working conditions and long-time running state; the paper shall introduce the reconfigurable integration technology of series safety monitoring systems based on which the integrated development platform of series safety monitoring systems is built. This platform can adapt to integrated R&D of series safety monitoring systems characterized by high technology, multiple species and low volume. With the help of this platform, series safety monitoring systems were developed, and the Remote Network Security Monitoring Center for Facility Groups was built. Experimental research and engineering applications show that: this new fault prediction method has realized the development trend features extraction of typical electromechanical systems, multi-information fusion, intelligent information decision-making and so on, improving the processing accuracy, relevance and applicability of information; new reconfigurable integration technologies have improved the integration level and R&D efficiency of series safety monitoring systems as well as expanded the scope of application; the series safety monitoring systems developed based on reconfigurable integration platform has already played an important role in many aspects including ensuring safety operation of equipment, stabilizing product quality, optimizing running state, saving energy consumption, reducing environmental pollution, improving working conditions, carrying out scientific maintenance, advancing equipment utilization, saving maintenance charge and enhancing the level of information management. 展开更多

In this work, an adaptive control constraint system has been developed for computer numerical control (CNC) turning based on the feedback control and adaptive control/self-tuning control. In an adaptive controlled system, the signals from the online measurement have to be processed and fed back to the machine tool controller to adjust the cutting parameters so that the machining can be stopped once a certain threshold is crossed. The main focus of the present work is to develop a reliable adaptive control system, and the objective of the control system is to control the cutting parameters and maintain the displacement and tool flank wear under constraint valves for a particular workpiece and tool combination as per ISO standard. Using Matlab Simulink, the digital adaption of the cutting parameters for experiment has confirmed the efficiency of the adaptively controlled condition monitoring system, which is reflected in different machining processes at varying machining conditions. This work describes the state of the art of the adaptive control constraint (ACC) machining systems for turning. AIS14140 steel of 150 BHN hardness is used as the workpiece material, and carbide inserts are used as cutting tool material throughout the experiment. With the developed approach, it is possible to predict the tool condition pretty accurately, if the feed and surface roughness are measured at identical conditions. As part of the present research work, the relationship between displacement due to vibration, cutting force, flank wear, and surface roughness has been examined. 展开更多

However, these signals can be distorted due to different external circumstances, which could lead to counterproductive effects in treatments such as increased intraocular pressure IOP or other effects that are unknown due to poor electrical signaling. In the present work, a web control system capable of communicating with transcorneal electrical stimulation equipment is proposed for the remote control of treatments applied to patients suffering from various ocular channelopathies. As the first phase of this system, it will only focus on treating patients with open-angle glaucoma since this disease is characterized by an increase in IOP and can be immediately measured by an ophthalmologist. 展开更多

A heart rate receives from heart beat signals and stores the data to a database and after a time period this method can determine an idle heart rate of the monitoring body. This idle heart rate is compared with the stored data and can determine the normal and abnormal heart rate variability. After the certain time period this system can detect the heart rate and also can send a signal to the user in time of abnormalities. 水平转体对既有运营线路影响小,逐渐成为上跨铁路大跨桥梁常用的施工方法。转体具有吨位大、倾覆风险高、转动状态变化快等特点,为保证转动过程的安全性、稳定性和精确性,开展有效的施工监测与控制尤为必要。凝炼了转体监测反馈控制的... 水平转体对既有运营线路影响小,逐渐成为上跨铁路大跨桥梁常用的施工方法。转体具有吨位大、倾覆风险高、转动状态变化快等特点,为保证转动过程的安全性、稳定性和精确性,开展有效的施工监测与控制尤为必要。凝炼了转体监测反馈控制的总体目标和子目标,并阐明其内在逻辑关系,将转体“牵引-转动”监测分解为支撑系统、牵引系统、转体姿态、结构受力、周边环境监测,并给出相应的主要和一般监测指标,提出监测阈值计算和状态评估方法。基于外部环境-支撑系统-牵引系统-转体姿态-结构受力的物理层间关系,构建监测指标数据链路模型,形成转体“动、稳、准、快”反馈调节机制,引入时间序列ARIMA模型进行监测数据动态预测,及时控制牵引系统和平衡系统。融合惯性传感、图像识别、数字孪生、PLC无线通讯等技术,基于webGL、Python、B/S架构开发轻量化、可视化转体监测反馈控制系统,并应用于某斜拉桥转体。结果表明:“转得动、转得稳、转得准、转得快”是桥梁转体监控的主要目标,呈“金字塔”型结构,转得动是基础;构建的桥梁水平转体“牵引-转动”监测反馈控制模型厘清了监控目标、监测指标、状态评估预测、反馈与控制的逻辑关系;开发的轻量化、可视化转体监测反馈控制系统可实现转体牵引、支撑、位姿和速度等状态监测与控制,克服了数据冗余孤立、状态评估与控制滞后等不足。 展开更多

轨道交通综合监控系统是一个高度复杂的控制和监督系统,用于轨道交通网络中的各种设施和服务的监管和控制。由于其对可靠性的高度要求,需要建立主用和备用两个系统。当主用系统出现问题时,备用系统接管线路控制权,当主用系统恢复时,备... 轨道交通综合监控系统是一个高度复杂的控制和监督系统,用于轨道交通网络中的各种设施和服务的监管和控制。由于其对可靠性的高度要求,需要建立主用和备用两个系统。当主用系统出现问题时,备用系统接管线路控制权,当主用系统恢复时,备用系统交还线路控制权。然而,现有的切换方法存在可靠性差和稳定性低等问题,严重影响轨道交通的安全运行。提出了一种轨道交通综合监控系统和主备控制中心切换方法,提高综合监控系统的可靠性和稳定性。首先,设立软硬件系统一致的主用和备用监控系统,两个系统各自独立、同时运行,这为可靠且稳定地切换提供了基础条件。其次,构建了一个线路控制权限切换方法,该方法通过自动切换线路控制权限的方式,有效地提升了主用系统故障时线路监控的时效性。最后,通过一个基于真实场景的案例分析,展现了我们提出的方法在稳定性、可靠性方面的优势。 展开更多

This paper investigates impact of noise and signal averaging on patient control in anesthesia applications, especially in networked control system settings such as wireless connected systems, sensor networks, local area networks, or tele-medicine over a wide area network. Such systems involve communication channels which introduce noises due to quantization, channel noises, and have limited communication bandwidth resources. Usually signal averaging can be used effectively in reducing noise effects when remote monitoring and diagnosis are involved. However, when feedback is intended, we show that signal averaging will lose its utility substantially. To explain this phenomenon, we analyze stability margins under signal averaging and derive some optimal strategies for selecting window sizes. A typical case of anesthe-sia depth control problems is used in this development. 展开更多

当前智能电视制造商为了降低生产和销售成本,往往采取全球化生产的模式。如何保证不同地区生产的智能电视的质量是制造商面临的一个重要问题,对不同生产区域的智能电视进行远程整机质量检测是解决这个问题的良好途径。基于现代云计算和... 当前智能电视制造商为了降低生产和销售成本,往往采取全球化生产的模式。如何保证不同地区生产的智能电视的质量是制造商面临的一个重要问题,对不同生产区域的智能电视进行远程整机质量检测是解决这个问题的良好途径。基于现代云计算和物联网技术,设计一个基于云平台的远程智能电视整机质量监控系统。该系统由智能电视现场监测系统、云端远程监控系统和用户远程监控端三大部分组成。智能电视现场监测系统通过树莓派实现对远程受控智能电视整机的日志、视频、音频、红外等运行数据进行实时采集、转换和上传至云端,以及接收其监测指令;云端远程监控系统接收树莓派上传的数据并进行展示、分析及存储,和向远程智能电视发出质量监测指令;用户远程监控端允许质检员通过计算机和手机登录云端对远程智能电视进行质量监测。文中给出了系统的架构、功能、硬件、软件和数据结构的设计,并在TCL自动化实验室进行实验测试,测试结果证明了系统设计的有效性。文章的设计为电视制造业的智能化发展提供了参考。 展开更多
