Current protective clothing often lacks sufficient comfort to ensure efficient performance of healthcare workers.Developing protective textiles with high air and moisture permeability is a potential and effective solution to discomfort of medical protective clothing.However,realizing the facile production of a protective textile that combines safety and comfort remains a challenge.Herein,we report the fabrication of highly permeable protective textiles(HPPT)with micro/nano-networks,using non-solvent induced phase separation synergistically driven by CaCl_(2) and fluorinated polyurethane,combined with spraying technique.The HPPT demonstrates excellent liquid repellency and comfort,ensuring high safety and a dry microenvironment for the wearer.The textile exhibits not only a high hydrostatic pressure(12.86 kPa)due to its tailored small mean pore size(1.03μm)and chemical composition,but also demonstrates excellent air permeability(14.24 mm s^(−1))and moisture permeability(7.92 kg m^(−2)d^(−1))owing to the rational combination of small pore size and high porosity(69%).The HPPT offers superior comfort compared to the commercially available protective materials.Additionally,we elucidated a molding mechanism synergistically inducted by diffusion-dissolution-phase separation.This research provides an innovative perspective on enhancing the comfort of medical protective clothing and offers theoretical support for regulating of pore structure during phase separations. 展开更多

With the continuous development of technology and society, smart devices have filled people’s lives and become an indispensable part of people’s lives. At the same time, smart clothing has also been greatly developed. This article introduces several smart clothing materials, analyzes the current research status of smart clothing materials, and further discusses the applications of smart clothing materials in military, medical, intelligent decoration, and sports and leisure fields. Then the problems of smart clothing in safety, environmental protection, and industrial technology are analyzed, and the corresponding solutions to these problems are proposed, so as to provide reference and guidance for the future development of smart clothing in China. And the research shows that smart clothing will develop in the direction of fashion and diversification, function and comfort, safety and environmental protection, convenience and low cost in the future. 展开更多

With concealment and hysteresis,water-inrush from Karst collapse column has become an important security hazard of lower group coal mining in North China.Based on the MTS8 15.02 seepage test system,we analyzed the impact of consolidation pressure,initial moisture content and confining pressure on the permeability of fillings in order to study the seepage characteristics of collapse column fillings.The results show that:(l)The permeability of collapse column fillings is of the order of 10^(-16)-10^(-15) magnitude and decreases with an increase in consolidation pressure and decrease in initial moisture content.(2) The essence of filling seepage law change is the change in porosity,and a power function relationship exists between the permeability ratio and porosity ratio.(3) With increasing confining pressure,the permeability of fillings decreases.However,under low confining pressure(1.2-4 MPa),the change of confining pressure has no obvious influence on the permeability. 展开更多

Wearability is one of important factors for the textile product quality. The wearability of bamboo pulp knitted fabrics was mainly discussed which were treated with chitosan and cupper ammonia solution. Tensile and bursting properties, abrasion resistance,drapability,air permeability,moisture-penetrability and warmth retention properties of fabrics were tested to investigate the changes. The results showed that chitosan pretreatment improved the tensile and bursting strengths,abrasion resistance and moisture penetrability,but decreased the drapability and air permeability.Copper ammonia solution treatments decreased the tensile and bursting strengths,abrasion resistance and air permeability,but increased the drapability, moisture penetrability and warmth retention properties. 展开更多

Thermoelectric(TE)technologies offer a promising approach for directly converting skin heat into electricity for wearable electronics.Recognizing p-type Sb2Tes and n-type BizTes as top-performing materials at room temperature,their rigid inorganic structure,with ultralow moisture permeability,poses challenges in warm and humid conditions,fostering bacterial growth and potential skin issues.To address this issue,we developed a cross-linked core-shell structure by electrodepositing Sb_(2)Te_(3)(Bi_(2)Te_(3))onto carbon fiber(CF).This architecture significantly improved the electrical conductivity and the Seebeck coefficient,resulting in a remarkable 300-fold increase in the power factor compared to that of pure CF.The CF/Sb_(2)Te_(3) and CF/Bi2Te films demonstrated optimal power factors of 450 and 121μW·m^(-1)·K^(-2),respectively.Moreover,the fabricated films exhibited outstanding moisture permeability,over 3000 g·m^(-2)·d^(-1),exceptional electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency approaching 93 dB,and versatility as sensors for language assistance and respiratory monitoring.These attributes underline their broad applicability,emphasizing their suitability for human health protection in diverse scenarios. 展开更多
